Alexandra Hotel&Apartments ★★★★

📍 16, 25th Martiou Str, Kos

"This accommodation is an excellent choice, located right in the city center with easy access to everything. The bed is comfortable, and if you book a room with a balcony, you’ll enjoy a stunning view of both the city and the sea. The staff are kind and very accommodating, making the stay even more pleasant. The breakfast is satisfying, offering a good English breakfast. Rooms are clean with a strong shower, even on the fourth floor, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The place also embraces sustainability, providing basic but pleasant-smelling toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap. Overall, it’s a fantastic stay — I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it to others."

Hotel Tigaki's Star

Hotel Tigaki's Star ★★★

📍 Tigaki, Tigkaki, Kos

"We stayed at Tigaki's Star hotel for 10 days and would happily return. Hotel staff were so hard working and friendly, particularly the girls who work at breakfast service and in the bar. Food at the pool bar was very good and decent prices. Pool bar didn't have a great range of drinks which I'd say was the only negative about the hotel. Hotel grounds were lovely, spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Our room, superior ground floor, was cleaned every day, clean towels provided any time you needed them, bedding changed couple of times a week too. Room wasn't huge but was fine for sleeping and getting quick change before heading out. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. Pool was a decent size and is pretty deep but there was also a baby pool. Hotel is a couple of minutes walk to main strip where there are lots of lovely restaurants and a few bars. We really enjoyed our time at Tigaki's Star and would happily return to the same hotel (something we usually don't do)."

Mitsis Family Village
8.8 (59 reviews)

Mitsis Family Village ★★★★

📍 Kardamaina, Kos

"Family of 4 (14 and 7) in room 702…..highest room on site I think. I cannot fault this hotel. Please don’t listen to the bad reviews…..I’m sure some people just find anything to moan about and reading some of the bad reviews makes me embarrassed for humanity. The food and drinks are perfect, quality over quantity I’d say. If you’re looking for chicken nuggets and chips then this hotel isn’t for you. Fresh cooked meats, home cooked dishes and fire oven pizzas with plenty of fresh salad and fruit. Sweet and savoury crepes and ice cream all day long…….what’s not to love. The hotel is spotless, pools are amazing and the staff cannot do enough for you. The hotel is situated on a hill, which is mentioned when booking, so why on earth this is a shock to people is beyond me. The hotel offers a free shuttle there and back to your room or the beach if needed but regardless, the view is worth a little uphill walk and for those less mobile there are options…..just ask. Staff here are the nicest I’ve come across. The room is cleaned daily and mini fridge filled every other day. Beach includes all inclusive pizzas and gyros which are gorgeous. We will be sad to leave and we will most definitely return."

"Well what a mixed review nice clean hotel well positioned but they don't really care much for there clientele your only there a short time so not much problem you have you will be soon gone. I started with the furthest room away knowing I was disabled I was moved tge I only got room service and clean towel 3 times out of 12 days as everyone else was serviced every day I think it was 2 men travelling together they thought it would not be a problem but believe me they picked on the wrong one I would not want to stay there again unless they got a better service for the people paying they salaries the other stay at breakfast and the inside and outside bars was lovely"

Palm Beach Hotel - Adults Only Hotels in Kos

Palm Beach Hotel - Adults Only

"Lovely hotel. We didn’t have high expectations for a few reasons: 1.We visited out of season 2.They were some rather negative reviews 3.We did not pay a lot. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, modern and spacious, pool area and bar were nice. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast and dinner were nice (although we ate out most nights). It was a bit of a walk from Kos town but we didn’t mind as there was a beautiful beach and lovely selection of restaurants close by. Overall, really good value for money and we had a lovely holiday."

Manolis Studios Hotels in Kos

Manolis Studios

"We (a couple) tried Kefalos for the first time (regular visitors to Kos) this year and picked the Manolis studios, just on a whim. Our stay was absolutely fine and we found lots of spectacular scenery, because the best beaches are round this side of the island. It isn't the best resort (Kefalos) for those with teenage (or thereabouts) kids who demand a lot of activities, as it's more an adult/seniors kind of vibe and you would need to hire a car to get them to the 'happening' places. However...if you walk up the hill and cross over by the Ikios hotel sign and walk down the drive, you get to THE most spectacular beach - Agios Stefanos, right across from Kastri island. Kastri itself (fifteen/twenty minutes walk away down the main road for the fit person) is a lovely sea-front place, with some nice hotels, tavernas etc Manolis was what you would expect from a small (14 apts), family-run studio block - well, what WE would expect! Others seem to think differently, apparently wanting four-star luxury at 2-star prices. Greek showers are always seen as too small, shower-curtains are awful; rooms too small (it's summer, why are you staying in the room???), too poorly-equipped, hot water insufficient (solar heating; shower earlier!) and seemingly no servants to meet their every whim. We went self-catering and cooked a perfectly fine meal every night on the two-ring wossname, had some nice snacks at the bar and found the owners perfectly nice - they do like to try teaching you some Greek! Yes, lots of older people go every year, but it's a nice place to stay; relaxed, chilling and clean. And Supermarket Jim is four minutes away and a must for your alcohol purchases, their cheese pies and veg!"

Nissia Kamares Hotels in Kos

"The apartments are as nice as they look in the pictures. Lovely setting, all areas are kept very clean and tidy, rooms were spotless. Staff were all very friendly. The pool and surrounding area was lovely. The bar onsite served very nice snacks and the drinks were reasonable. The apartments are in a great location, close enough to walk to the bars and restaurants but far enough away to be quiet if you didn’t want the hustle and bustle."

Eurovillage Achilleas Hotel Hotels in Kos

Eurovillage Achilleas Hotel

"Sadly, our stay was disappointing and fell well below the standard we expected. On arrival, we encountered an issue with our room. Rather than taking ownership or trying to resolve the situation, the hotel initially blamed easyJet. We later saw the paperwork the hotel had received, and we believe the room issue was in fact caused by easyJet. To the hotel's credit, after two nights we were moved to a superior family room, which was a significant improvement. The standard family rooms are adequate but very dated. The separate back bedroom had no air conditioning, making it uncomfortable and inconvenient, particularly during the hot weather. Unfortunately, the room service after we moved was also disappointing. Our room was only cleaned once, and on that occasion cleaning did not start until around 5:45pm. Having spent the day at the pool, this was far from an ideal time for the room to be cleaned, as we then couldn't properly use the room while it was being serviced. Cups were not replaced and coffee was not replenished, which was disappointing for a hotel of this standard. The food was one of the biggest let-downs. There was very little choice for children at lunch and dinner, with limited variety throughout our stay. Breakfast was by far the best meal of the day, with the Greek evening being the best dinner we had. The ribs and chicken wing night was also a real hit with our family. Unfortunately, the remaining evening meals were disappointing for an all-inclusive hotel. The treatment we received around the pool was particularly disappointing. We were a large group and, unfortunately, we got the impression that this was not something the barman was happy about. On day four, he repeatedly singled out our group, telling our children they were not allowed to jump into the pool despite the only posted rule being "No Diving." Other guests were doing exactly the same without being challenged. To make matters worse, the barman commented, "It's always you English with the small island." We found this remark unnecessary, unprofessional and offensive. When we questioned why our children were being treated differently, the barman told us he was going to get the manager. We waited, but no manager ever came to speak with us, leaving the issue completely unresolved. On our last day, the same situation happened again with the barman. He was once again very rude and singled out our group, telling our children not to jump in the pool, while no other guests were being challenged for doing the same. We then went to reception to make a complaint. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response as we were told the manager was not in on a Sunday. We were later told they had tried to call me, although I had no missed calls. When we checked out, we were offered the opportunity to speak to the manager, but as we were leaving, we felt there was little point at that stage. I do want to mention that the two ladies working on reception were very helpful and polite when"

Oku Kos Hotels in Kos

"Booked a standard graden room, turned out to be a catastrophe: fridge in the mini bar humming so loud one could barely sleep, road directly in front of the room with loud vehicles passing and uncomfortable bed) - slept less than 4hours first night. Then were given the option to move to another standard room which did not have a loud road but for whatever reason had same issue with the fridge. After complaining again were upgraded to better room which was nice (bed nevertheless not comfortable). Lost 2 out of 4 nights to terrible rooms. Overall cannot recommend hotel. If you want to stay make sure only to book higher categories - standard room is absolutely not acceptable - a shame for a supposedly 5* hotel. Other negative aspects: breakfast only okish, food and the restaurant very very mediocre at truly elevated prices & outrageous wine pricing (60€ retail wine sold for 370€..) with no decent drinkable cheaper wines On the positive sides: very nice beach, good service at the beach, nice/cool interior design."

Albergo Gelsomino Hotels in Kos

Albergo Gelsomino

"The hotel is ideally located right next to the port, so you can easily walk between the ferry and the hotel. The welcome was very attentive, and the meals were exquisite (both breakfast and dinner). The room is spacious, though some facing the back might be a bit exposed to street noise. The Wi-Fi is quite poor in the rooms, but otherwise, the experience is always fantastic, especially when you're on the beach on those ultra-comfortable sun loungers! Thank you, we will definitely be back for a fourth time 😊"

"Staying at this hotel, was very memorable. Deserving 5 star. To reception staff all of them, absolutely first class. The assistant manager amazing. Helped us sort out a few issues, don’t need to go into detail as he sorted us professionally. Thanks to Rania from the gym. And Ali from bars. You both were superstars, made our holiday. We nominate Ali be bar manager. Also thank all the Asian staff. Super friendly super welcoming. Most of the Greek staff. Were unfriendly and miserable. The worst staff award goes to the lifeguard. He was disgraceful, Lazy, he receives the pool towels, all clean and folded. Then just stuffs them, that’s when he can be bothered. Into a messy piles. The general manager saw him and spoke to him. He answered her back. She should not accept, staff talking back to her. The bar pool guy, only serves who he likes. We were ignored all week. The inside bar lady was the same. They don’t treat all guests with the same courtesy. Food and drinks were lovely. Hotel is lovely. Accept managers don’t walk around the hotel Enough, the gents toilets had a broken tap all week. We reported, but nothing done. Housekeeper is rubbish a lot of cleaning issues, in rooms. So we would go back. Thanks we had a great holiday."

"The hotel itself was clean, yet outdated. But the staff were very friendly but the all inclusive was horrible. The food was not nice and the drinks were terrible. The own brand alcohol, cocktails and soft drinks were not good at all. The WiFi did not work on any days and we had to use mobile data and subsequently buy more of this. The entertainment in the hotel was also not great. The hotel was clean but it was nowhere near 5 stars - this is a 3 star hotel at best and need updating."

"Very nice hotel - in a quiet area but well situated for lots of excellent restaurants. Hotel has a lovely bar area - entertainment was on 2 nights that we were there & was also of a good standard. The staff were all very present & like everyone in Kos very welcoming. Breakfast pretty basic - like lots of other guests I purchased my own fruit from local supermarket. I saw a lot of guests doing likewise so this is maybe something that should be addressed. Cleaning of a good standard - bedding & towels changed on alternative days with one day a week the room wasn't serviced. While this was fine I would have expected toilet bin to still be emptied on that day bearing in mind toilet roll can't be flushed. Had a great holiday at a very reasonable price so wouldn't hesitate to return to hotel if in area again."

"An aging hotel. The same goes for the room furnishings. The beds were often nailed down in various places. The mattresses had holes as big as fists. The bed slats kept slamming down. The bathroom door was so swollen from the shower that it wouldn't open properly. The hairdryer overheated after 2 minutes of use. There was no storage space in the entire bathroom. Glasses in the bathroom were yucky!! The shower curtain was just hanging there. The air conditioning (for a fee) rattled so loudly that it looked like someone was hitting it with a hammer. Curtains in the room were ripped down, and the balcony door was very difficult to open. The sliding doors on the wardrobe were so jammed that they could only be opened with physical strength. Reception was only open in the mornings, and guests took their own room keys. Breakfast was always the same. One type of sausage, one type of cheese, toast, rolls, Kellogs, coffee, tea. No fruit, no juice! The bar was nicely done, quaint and cozy! The pool was clean and there were plenty of loungers with umbrellas. The hotel was in a good location. You could walk into town in no time. There are bike rentals all around, and car rentals nearby. The island of Kos is beautiful."

Tropical Sol Hotels in Kos

"Been coming to this village for many years and tried this hotel for the first time after being badly let down by Marianna Studios last September, and disgusted how I was treated at the Tigaki Star last May. Tropical Sol is superior in every way - excellent friendly staff, great breakfast and lovely rooms with air con included. The pool area is lovely - quiet and civilised and there is a jacuzzi next to the main pool. It has an excellent location just on the edge of the village centre right next to the bus stop and opposite the supermarket. I will definitely be back I requested a quiet room on a high floor with sea views and that is exactly what I got."

Koia All - Suite Well Being Resort - Adults Only Hotels in Kos

Koia All - Suite Well Being Resort - Adults Only

"Our stay at Koia Wellbeing Resort in Kos was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The resort is stunning, with breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the sea that made every moment feel relaxing and special. We stayed in a Deluxe Suite with a private pool, which was luxurious, spacious, and the perfect place to unwind. The memory foam bed was incredibly comfortable, giving us some of the best night's sleep we've had on holiday. The food was delicious throughout our stay, with a fantastic variety of choices at every meal. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, there was always something fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour. One of the things we loved most about Koia Wellbeing Resort was the incredible sense of peace and tranquillity. It was the perfect place to completely switch off and recharge. Instead of traffic or crowds, all you could hear were the gentle sounds of crickets and cicadas during the day and evening, along with the soothing waves lapping against the shore. Combined with the stunning sea views, it created an atmosphere that was truly calming and restorative—exactly what we were looking for in a wellbeing retreat. The resort is also in a great location, just a short taxi ride from the charming Kos Old Town, making it easy to explore the harbour, shops, and restaurants. One thing worth noting is that getting a taxi back from the Old Town can be difficult during busy periods, as there is only one main taxi rank and queues can be quite long. We'd definitely recommend booking your return taxi in advance to avoid any delays and make the most of your evening. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the outstanding service. A very special thank you to Alex, Hippocrates, and Dionesis (aka Dennis), who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their friendliness, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference, and they are a real credit to the resort. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday and would highly recommend Koia Wellbeing Resort to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious getaway in Kos. We can't wait to return!"

"⭐☆☆☆☆ Disappointing stay despite nice rooms – don’t be fooled by the photos! I rarely leave bad reviews, but I feel people should know what they’re really booking. The rooms at this hotel are genuinely lovely — clean, spacious, and comfortable — but that’s about where the positives end. We booked this place expecting to enjoy all the advertised facilities — the spa, sauna, steam room, and a good selection of food — but towards the end of the season almost everything was shut down without any warning. There was no notice on the website, no small print at the time of booking, and we still paid full price as if everything was open. The buffet food was honestly awful — cold, tasteless, and repetitive. The only decent food came from the pool bar, but of course, that stopped serving food too once the “season ended,” again with no notice. The spa, sauna, and steam room were all closed, which was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel in the first place. It’s really unfair to charge guests full price when half the facilities are closed. If we’d known in advance, we would have booked elsewhere. A real shame, because the rooms and setting have potential, but the lack of transparency and poor management completely ruined what could have been a great stay."

"The hotel is typical of the cheaper end of Greek accommodation. The staff are pleasant and friendly, but unfortunately the noise levels throughout the hotel make it very difficult to relax and get a decent sleep. Because the corridors have hard surfaces with no sound proofing, every sound seems to be amplified. You can hear people walking past your room, just having a normal conversation from the corridor, not to mention the people who are louder and have had a drink, and footsteps from one end of the building to the other you seriously can hear everything. The noise echoes throughout the hotel.  If you’re hoping for a holiday where you can enjoy a lie-in, this probably isn’t the hotel for you. The cleaning staff start early and are extremely loud. Their conversations and laughing echo through the corridors, and the walkie-talkies they use constantly beep again echoing through the entire building. Once breakfast starts and the cleaning staff arrive at 6:30am, any chance of further sleep is pretty much over, as the sound of plates, glasses, cutlery and people chatting in the dining room carries throughout the building. What I found particularly frustrating was the lack of consideration regarding room cleaning. We arrived late due to our late flight and didn’t get to bed until around 2am. Despite this, housekeeping still arrived at 8am to clean our room. We’d only been in the room and asleep for around six hours after a full day of travelling. It would seem more practical and considerate to schedule guests who arrive in the early hours to clean last.  The housekeeping schedule also felt poorly organised. Our bedding was changed on day six of our 7 day stay, fresh clean bedding despite us having only one night remaining. It seemed an unnecessary use of resources when we were due to leave the following morning. To be fair, if you’re an early riser, don’t mind noise, and are happy to be awake from around 6am onwards, then this hotel may suit you perfectly. However, if you’re looking for a restful holiday where you can occasionally sleep in until 8:30 or 9:30am instead of your usual 6am work wake up call, I would suggest looking elsewhere."
