We waren op doorreis. Niet echt wat we verwachtten. De airco werkte niet. Gelukkig maar 1 dag verbleven. De eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en hartelijk! Ik denk dat ze een verbouwing nodig hebben.

We had the most amazing holiday in Kos! From the apartments to the beach it has been brilliant. As someone who is not a huge risk taker I wanted to leave a review of both the apartments and the local area for those like me who read every single review before they go anywhere. Holiday dates: We came here early June and would definitely recommend as it’s not too hot and not too busy, it was just right. We had highs of 27 and lows of about 24. The hosts: Steve, Kostas and Chris were the most amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome right from the start. We (luckily) did not have any issues during our stay, however if we did we knew they would be right there to help. Their kind, friendly and respectful attitude really made the place just that bit more special. As two young women on holiday we could not have felt more safe. They answered any and all questions we had and gave plenty of recommendations. Apartment: The apartments far exceeded our expectations. They are charmingly simple, clean and comfortable. They are well looked after and the housekeeping team were fantastic, coming in each morning to give the place a once over. Toilet roll is provided however don’t forget to pack hand soap with you. If you are planning on cooking/ eating in the apartment then we’d recommend getting washing up liquid and a sponge as this is not provided. Kitchen utensils are again simple but effective as you did not need more than they provided. Our room had a balcony overlooking the garden area which was lovely. On the balcony were a table and chairs and a clothes airer. Bedding and towels are crisp and white which is always a good sign in my books. Don’t forget that in Greece you cannot flush the toilet roll! The bathroom bin is emptied daily and we packed sanitary bags too. Air-con was 10 euros a day extra and worth every penny. Also don’t forget that Greece has a tourist tax per night per room which was about 2 euros. Pool: The pool area was lovely and clean with plenty of sun beds. The pool was a really decent size with a sectioned off shallow bit for young children. Next to the pool is also a tiny play park with some swings. Food and drink: There are plenty of food and drink options at the bar with an option for everyone. As vegetarian I was a bit worried about food options but I was in luck as there were a few options for me. Just behind the apartments is a little market called the Blue Market which has literally everything you could need for a week or two in the sun. The shop owners are friendly and attentive, and the prices were really reasonable. Should you wish to go out into Kos Town there are hundreds of beautiful restaurants. Steve recommended Mom’s Kitchen and Three Spoons for some well priced, fresh authentic food. Both these restaurants had veggie options which was a bonus! We also had a slightly pricier lunch at Platanos which had a beautiful view of some ruins and Hippocrates Tree. Location: You will have the view of both the sea

Excellent! Came to Amparvis with my autistic son and family he really struggled with a few things Steve, kosta Joanna and the staff were absolutely brilliant and understanding. Don’t be put off by the 10 minute walk to kos town as the walk is flat and easy to manage. I have absolutely no complaints about anything from getting to Amparvis off the bus lovely welcome from Steve with a nice bottle of cold water. Atmosphere was lovely very family oriented rooms are lovely basic with everything you need. Cleaners are always on hand and very polite thank u ladies very clean. Absolutely unbelievable value for money people who go there have been going for years and it’s understandable why, they literally cater for any needs going above and beyond very friendly family we will definitely be back. If you go try the carbonara (it’s insane) thank you so so much to all the staff at Amparvis keep doing what your doing best place we’ve stayed in kos thanks again x

Ive been going to these appartments 2/3 times a year for a little while now. Ive given 5 stars, even though there is no tv in the room, a bonus for myself and others, as we go out and enjoy what the place and Kos has to offer. The appartments has a great pool/ area, sunbeds not a problem, great snack bar and bar, and really clean. What makes it great are the friends that you will make, if you wish. With the welcoming Sourasis family, who run this venue, are truly genuinely friendly and will make you feel right at home. Dont take my word for it, read the revues, and give it a go, and you will find out why so many folk are returning every year. Also great for solo travellers, of which I am one.

We have just returned from an amazing stay at Ampavris Family Apartments in Kos, and I honestly can't recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for a traditional, family-run Greek apartment with the warmest hospitality imaginable, this is the place to stay. The three brothers – Costas, Steve and Chris – are absolutely fantastic. They are incredibly friendly, funny, and genuinely care about making sure every guest has the best holiday possible. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they go above and beyond to help with anything you need. Be warned though... they'll probably keep topping you up with complimentary Greek shots! The whole family creates such a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you arrive, you feel less like a customer and more like part of their family. Even the younger members of the family help out around the apartments with big smiles, which adds to the lovely, authentic atmosphere. The pool is brilliant – always clean, never overcrowded, and there were plenty of sunbeds available every day, so there was never any need to rush out early in the morning. The snack bar is excellent too. Chito works tirelessly from morning until night and serves delicious food with a smile. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or a snack by the pool, everything is freshly cooked and really tasty. One thing we particularly appreciated was all the local knowledge. The family recommended some fantastic restaurants that we probably would never have found ourselves, and every recommendation was spot on. It's places like Ampavris Family Apartments that remind you what Greek hospitality is all about. Friendly people, great food, lots of laughter, and a genuine feeling that they want you to have the best holiday possible. Thank you to Costas, Steve, Chris, Chito, and the whole family for making our holiday so special. We'll definitely be back, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ampavris Family Apartments to anyone visiting Kos. Five stars simply aren't enough!

This was our first time Amparvis Family Apartments but it won’t be our last! Honestly one of our favourite holidays thanks to Kostas, Steve and Chris. There is a wonderful chilled and friendly atmosphere- you are treated like one of the family. The pool is a good size and even in peek season there are plenty of sun lounger so no early morning queues. Yes, as other reviews have said, the rooms are basic but they are comfortable and clean. If you really want a self catering apartment this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you want an apartment with the bonus of a fridge and kettle and very reasonably priced food and drink on site, you will be very happy. Kostas helped with car hire, restaurant bookings and even drove our family to a restaurant because the taxis were running late! They really go the extra mile to make sure you have the best holiday. Greek night was a great experience and George junior makes the best Pina Coladas! We don’t normally visit the same place twice as there is so much of the world to see but this is the first place that we are gutted to leave and that we will definitely return to. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

We’ve just at left the complex this morning after 9 wonderful days and honestly what a fantastic time we’ve had, not only in Kos exploring but at Ampavris family apartments. We want to thank Steve and costa for their fantastic hospitality and warm welcome everyday, they greeted us with so much care and always took the time to speak to our little one too. Also their children, such well mannered lovely kids who included our boy in all the games and he had the time of his life! You couldn’t want any more from a holiday spot. Clean, well accommodated, not too busy, fantastic pool and fantastic food ( thank you Chito) a big thank you to all of the staff at Ampavris, you were all so amazing and lovely and made it the easiest decision to want to come back again. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, a wonderful family run place with the nicest people you could meet. Also you have to go and eat at Flamos’ the best fish restaurant by far ❤️

Just returned from a week so I thought I’d write a review, The apartments are close to the centre of Kos town it’s about a 15 minute walk. The apartments are basic but clean. The pool area and gardens are lovely and well maintained. The owners are also very welcoming. Now on to the negative… we went out for the day early and as we arrived back to our apartment around 5pm a key was left in our door Which I guess was left in by the cleaners that morning. Luckily I check our belongings and nothing had been taken on this occasion. But was very irresponsible of the staff. / cleaners . On the last day after we had set of home I check my left over euros and around 150 euros had been taken. This must of happened on the day before we left as the cleaner had been in our room. I unfortunately didn’t notice before as I was mainly using my card to pay. So I would definitely lock away any money or anything valuable just incase.
