"The place is clean and well managed. Self check in Malaysia is a surprise but works well. Each co living units has a few rooms but the main common room is well equipped with living space facilities. Location is also nice since it's close to the old town and everything is within walking distance. The parking space has tight entrance but could easily be managed by a seasoned driver. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice and cheap place to stay"

"The hotel's exterior is new and fresh, and the room is bright and comfortable with a modern, 'cyber' design. The toilet in the bathroom is state-of-the-art, and the in-room electronic system is very convenient to use. The lobby staff were all smiles, attentive, and friendly. The hotel is located near the city center, less than a ten-minute drive away, which is very convenient. For Ipoh, Malaysia, this hotel is definitely a five-star experience. Highly recommended!"

"New hotel- great value for those travelling to Ipoh. You’ll need a vehicle to move around or at least use grab. The only thing I wanted to comment is that the staff should mask up, especially if they’re sick. When I checked in, the staff looked really sick and had snot hanging on his nose. All these happened while handling my check in. It was traumatising for me. The hotel should provide hand sanitisers too. The room is comfy however the beds are a bit too hard. Each need should come with two pillows, even those single beds."

"The Onsen is right by the theme park making access very easy. The two bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and with a balcony overlooking the park, as seen in the picture is. I recommend especially if coming to the park"

"This is a very new hotel apartment. It's fully equipped with pots, pans, an induction cooker, microwave, refrigerator, and hairdryer. The only thing missing is a washing machine, but all other essential in-room facilities are there. The room is quite spacious; we booked a two-bedroom apartment. At around 140 Malaysian Ringgit per night during the May Day holiday, it offered great value for money. It was more than enough space for our family of three, with one king-sized bed and two single beds. The living room had a sofa, and surprisingly, the TV even had Mango TV and Tencent TV! 😂 The infinity pool on the hotel's top floor isn't huge but is very tastefully designed. There's also a co-working space specifically for digital nomads, and the gym is excellent. The garden on the second floor is beautiful both day and night. The hotel itself isn't far from the city center. It's about 6-8 MYR by Grab from the train station, and roughly the same to the Mural Street. To Perak Cave and Mirror Lake, it's about 8-10 MYR, making it very convenient to get around. The only issue is that since the apartment is quite new, Grab's current pick-up/drop-off point is located at the main entrance on the main road. If you have a lot of luggage, you might need to ask the driver to go around to the reception area at the back of the apartment."

"The hotel is clean and modern and we have managed to get a swift check in process. However, 1 out of 2 rooms that we gotten had power issues somehow, but we are given another room straightaway. Both rooms are very nicely decorated and very new! Modern design and good airconditioning! The bed linens are clean and comfortable pillows! We are very happy with the hotel rooms. The inifinity pool at the top floor is also very gorgeous , day view and night view are both great! The gardens at the 2nd floor are full of decorations and photogenic spots also! Perfect for social media posts! There is an EV charging station 22kw AC ”Quickcharge” at the hotel carpark ground floor also! Perfect for us! I have no complains and will defnitely come back again! Even location is not too far from tourist attractions nearby! Saw a few reviews that the hotel is short staffed due to being new, so they have to wait very long. maybe we are lucky and didnt come with the crowd but we felt is quite ok and all the security guards are very friendly and look alert and make us feel very safe! The only 1 thing is there is no free water bottles given like some hotels every day, so we have to buy our own water but i feel is small issue. There is a convenience store below as well if need anything urgent!"

"Stayed at Hotel 1969 and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were polite and kind throughout our stay, especially the concierge, who also acted as our airport transfer driver. Although I did not get his name, he was very responsible and ensured we arrived at the airport on time. We also enjoyed a nice breakfast before heading off, which was perfect and satisfying. The hotel location is very convenient, with many coffeeshops nearby. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely return again."

The unit itself was very nice—modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, making it feel both comfortable and luxurious at the same time. Everything was well-maintained, and you could tell the place was still quite new. The ambience was absolutely the best. "The BEST hostel I’ve been in my 7 countries Asian trip. The location, the services, the cleaniliness, the attention, all were great. The hotel is on a renovated old building with exquisite details and curated decoration elements. Everything is clean. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are big enough to have your small backpack in it. There’s a curtain for privacy and it wasn’t crowded. The other guest were very mindful of others. This hotel is relatively new, they opened in Nov 2025 so, it’s still getting known in the travel world. You can use the kitchen that has all the implements to cook, store items in the fridge and prepare a breakfast with ingredients that the hotel provides… free, great breakfast! If you need a towel they give you one at no charge… for now. The location is great. You can walk to the old town of the city and Concubine ln. It’s a really nice walk. That part of the city saw a past splendor and the buildings show it. There are several restaurants around, even some fast food. Two things I would review if I was the owner… I waited for an hr before getting my room while other people got settled immediately. My dorm only had 2 ppl in it, the room was ready when I got there. If you have a bed available, just give away even when there’s no the time. It means a lot to the guest that in general has been traveling long hrs, especially if it’s a small place with not many people. The other thing is to teach us (ignorant westerners), how to use the electric shower heater. I couldn’t make it work because I couldn’t find the on/off button. A small sign could have solved my and others’ frustrations. The owners are doing an excellent job at the hotel. I’m planning to come back so I’ll be a guest again at the Brownstone."
