I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!"

"As a top-tier domestic hotel brand, Banyan Tree generally excels in every aspect. My family and I stayed there during the May Day holiday, and our experience was absolutely perfect. The hotel's gardens are particularly serene and comfortable, with expansive views, offering a truly relaxing garden atmosphere. There's a pond right outside the room, which adds a lovely touch. Inside the room, the window view is superb, and the bathtub is perfectly situated, with excellent hot water. I was particularly impressed by the intricate carvings on the internal doors. For breakfast, the freshly squeezed juices were fantastic, and there was a great variety; on the day we stayed, they even had delicious lamb chops. Finally, regarding the service, the staff were all very professional, clearly well-trained, yet also very friendly and approachable. Although the hotel was quite pricey during May Day, it largely justified its value. Especially breathtaking are the wild clouds and mist right outside the hotel, and it's also very close to Hongcun Village. Absolutely stunning."

"As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner recognized me. Yes, I was the tourist who bought the Hongcun ticket just for the B&B. The owner even mistakenly thought I was from Hong Kong, haha! However, this trip to Hongcun really exceeded my expectations. Different from the online comments on Hongcun's commercial tourism, I personally think that Hongcun is a place worth slowly immersing yourself in and experiencing quietly. When it comes to accommodation, the proprietress is really a very meticulous person. She is almost demanding in her hygiene requirements and will double check every sanitary blind spot. I was also very moved by her entrepreneurial story. Seeing her constantly learning and improving herself (including emotional management, communication skills, and even learning live streaming), I could deeply feel her enthusiasm and dedication to providing thoughtful service to every guest. Speaking of food, the proprietress’s cooking skills are also amazing, especially her stinky mandarin fish, chestnut chicken and hairy tofu, each of which makes people unable to help but praise it! These authentic delicacies will definitely be unforgettable once you have tasted them. In addition, the service provided by the boss and his wife was also touching. The boss personally took me to the express delivery point to send the express, and the boss's wife personally accompanied us to take the bus and helped us with our luggage. "This guesthouse is absolutely, incredibly, amazingly wonderful!!!! First, I have to praise the owner. He's such a great guy. He called us beforehand to ask when we'd arrive, then picked us up in his 'sanbengzi' (a three-wheeled vehicle – extra experience points!). He helped us with our luggage. The next day, I wasn't feeling well and just wanted to extend for two hours to rest, but the owner immediately told us not to worry and just to stay as long as we needed. When we left, his aunt helped with our bags, and he arranged a car for us. We were in such a rush that I dropped something, and he even mailed it back to me… In short, the service was exceptional!! ❤️ Next time, I hope to bring my family and stay for a few more days. The environment is also incredibly good! The courtyard is uniquely designed, like a mini classical garden, full of ancient charm. The room was very clean, and there's even a meditation area. I tried to imitate Liu Yifei's meditation pose, and I felt refreshed afterward, haha~ Hongcun is truly beautiful, and the people here are so warm and friendly. "After looking at many guesthouses in Xidi, I finally chose this hidden gem that embodies tea culture. The owners added us on WeChat beforehand and picked us up at the village entrance – so thoughtful and considerate! The owners, a kind couple, have adopted four adorable cats and a dog. The guesthouse is a century-old Hui-style building, with rooms modified to suit modern living habits, offering both traditional charm and a comfortable experience. The owners love and understand tea; even though we returned late from a Xidi night tour, we were still treated to delicious tea – thank you! They have a tea garden, and we bought three kinds of locally grown tea to take home and enjoy slowly; the Dafang tea was truly wonderful! The guesthouse is beautiful; even in early March, there were still many beautiful flowers, showcasing the tranquility and beauty of rural life. A good night's sleep, grateful for the encounter! 👍🫶"

"Highly highly recommend to stay in 上善若水 民宿 if you visit 宏村。 The place is conveniently located near 月昭, which is one of the most pretty sight in 宏村。 Hotel is beautiful , spacious and very clean , with a big yard where you can sip tea and enjoy the serene vibe of the place. There are 9 rooms ,all nicely designed by interior designer. Service by the owners, husband and wife pair is impeccable. You feel welcome immediately with attention to your every need! The mattress had just the right firmness, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The self-service laundry room was incredibly practical. "Highly recommended B&B! The location is wonderfully secluded, and the rooms are cozy and tastefully decorated in a Japanese style. The courtyard is very thoughtfully designed; every photo you take turns out beautifully. Most of the staff are *******, and they are incredibly warm and welcoming. Having just returned from a trip to Tibet this year, I felt an instant connection 🥰. I especially have to mention the B&B's dinner. We originally planned to eat in Hongcun but couldn't find a restaurant we liked, so we decided to head back to the B&B (they even offer shuttle service to Hongcun!). We pre-ordered our meal with the manager, so it was ready when we got back. We ordered stinky mandarin fish, free-range chicken soup, and stir-fried eggs with stone ear fungus. Every dish was made with super fresh ingredients and tasted absolutely amazing, especially the chicken soup. It was definitely made with free-range chicken, something you just can't find in Shanghai – so delicious! The portions were generous too; we couldn't finish it all. The manager even suggested saving the rest for chicken noodle soup the next morning. Wow, such thoughtful service! They also gave us a parting gift when we left. I love the atmosphere here and every single staff member. If you're coming to Tachuan, choose to stay here – you definitely won't regret it!"

"The room is very clean, and it smells fresh as soon as you enter the room. The courtyard is simple and elegant, very beautiful, and you can take blockbuster movies in the B&B. Many young ladies borrowed the door to take pictures. The boss is very enthusiastic, and the tea is also very delicious. I was very lucky to participate in the boss's barbecue party, drink with some like-minded people, sit with the person you love, and blow the wind of the ancient city.
