My experience showed that it offers excellent value for money, in terms of both its facilities and service. **Location: The Absolute Center of the City** The hotel's location is truly prime, right next to People's Square. It's incredibly convenient for taxis or ride-sharing services. Downstairs, you'll find the Zhuozhan Shopping Center and Wanda Plaza, so shopping, dining, and catching a movie are all just steps away. What was even more delightful was discovering that just across the street is the former site of the Bank of China's Changchun headquarters from before liberation. For history buffs and photography enthusiasts, you can easily snap some fantastic photos when passing by in the morning or evening. **Room Experience: Spotless and Cozy** Staying during Chinese New Year, the room was decorated with a lovely festive atmosphere. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and they even offered a choice of pillows, which meant even someone like me, who struggles with sleeping in new beds, had a great night's sleep. Shangri-La's renowned 'hospitality' was fully evident here. From the concierge proactively helping with luggage and guiding me to the front desk, to the warm towels and tea offered by the front desk staff during check-in, every detail exuded warmth. I asked a lobby staff member about local dining recommendations, and she not only described the dining environment and approximate distance in detail but also thoughtfully reminded us of the convenience of getting around: a central hub for exploring attractions. Using the hotel as our base, our itinerary for the past few days was incredibly smooth: a taxi ride to Nanhu Park, Changchun Zoological and Botanical Garden, Ice and Snow World, and Ocean Fantasy Park were all within a reasonable distance. After a day of exploring, returning to the hotel meant easy access to the bustling commercial area downstairs for food and shopping. If you're planning a trip to Changchun, especially in winter when you want both comfort and convenience, the Shangri-La Changchun is an choice you won't regret. It's more than just a place to sleep; it's the perfect base to truly experience the charm of this city. Clean, welcoming, and well-located – I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Changchun."

"The apartment's location is great, quite close to the Middle East Grand Market and Lou Wai Lou. There are also plenty of small restaurants downstairs, making everything convenient. The room itself is very clean; we were assigned a room on the 22nd floor, which was spotless and really nice."

"This hotel is located in the heart of the city, on Hongqi Street. It's right next to the famous shopping mall 'Zhe You Shan' and across from the Changchun Film Studio Museum. With the #54 tram stopping right outside, getting around is super convenient, perfect for sightseeing and shopping. The surrounding area has great transport links, and taxis are easily available. The front desk staff, especially the lovely 'A. Ice' (that's her WeChat name!), was incredibly warm and professional. Check-in was efficient, and they were quick to resolve any issues, making me feel right at home. The room itself was spacious and the mini-bar was complimentary. The views from the room were expansive, and the air conditioning was adjustable, which made for a really pleasant stay overall. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I'm back in Changchun."

"This stay was fantastic! [Rose] The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, just a few minutes' walk from the subway station, and surrounded by shopping malls and restaurants. The room was clean and tidy with no unpleasant odors, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom's separate wet and dry area was a thoughtful touch. The staff were warm and attentive, efficient and quick with check-in and check-out, and very patient in answering all my questions. The facilities were complete and well-maintained, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep. Excellent value for money, I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time, and I've already recommended it to my friends!"

"I came from Beijing to run the 2026 Changchun Marathon. Upon arrival, the front desk attendant upgraded my room. Both the lobby and the room were spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was excellent, with comfortable bedding. The hotel originally offered a late checkout until 2 PM for marathon participants. However, since my return train was at 5:30 PM, the front desk attendant specially arranged a 4 PM checkout for me. Huge thumbs up for that! I had to leave at 6 AM, so I missed breakfast. But the hotel prepared a breakfast bag for me with milk, eggs, and small bread rolls, which was perfect. I honestly survived the entire marathon on those two small bread rolls and the course provisions. Five-star reviews are the limit on Ctrip, not the limit of this hotel. I hope they continue to strive for excellence and become a new benchmark for hotels in Changchun!"

"The hotel environment is clean and elegant, with a simple yet grand design that makes guests feel incredibly comfortable. The gym is spacious, and the laundry room's drying function is very practical. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options in the surrounding mall. Breakfast is fresh, delicious, and offers a huge variety. Underground parking is convenient and fast. The front desk staff are friendly, provide service with a smile throughout, and patiently answer all questions. Five-star rating!"

"I booked the hotel as an alternative to other 5-star hotels in the city. The check-in went smoothly. The staff was friendly but the service was a bit pushy for me. The hotel is in prime location with a wonderful view of the river that could be enjoyed through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Sadly, I could not appreciate it as the windows were quite dirty (I could barely see anything). I ended up taking a walk along the river which I did not regret. The bathtub was a bit outdated (mildly put). My second day, I ordered breakfast yet the room service was VERY slow. I anticipated something more client-oriented, modernized, clean, and swift from a 5-star hotel. I enjoyed my stay nevertheless but next time would consider other options."

"I arrived at the front desk to check in a little after 8 PM and was assigned room 705. In a rush to meet friends for dinner, I didn't go up to the room immediately. When I returned at 2 AM, I found that room 705's door directly faced the elevator hallway and, to make matters worse, my key card was demagnetized and wouldn't work. I have a strong personal aversion to rooms directly facing elevators, partly due to feng shui. So, I went back down to the front desk to request a different room. The front desk initially claimed there were no other rooms available. I expressed my concern, emphasizing that a proper hotel should always have backup rooms, and mentioned I would contact Ctrip due to my strong dislike for the room's location. After this, they offered a complimentary upgrade to a suite (I had originally booked a king room). While the initial service would ordinarily warrant a 1-star rating, I'm giving it 3 stars because they ultimately resolved the problem. Aside from this incident, I had no other complaints."
