"Booked this hotel outside the main island during the Venice Carnival. Although the price was higher than usual, it was still decent value for money. Free parking and breakfast were good. Transportation was also convenient, with a single bus ride (line 7) costing only 1.5 Euros and taking about 20 minutes to reach Venice's main island directly. You can even buy bus tickets at the hotel front desk, which saves a lot of hassle. A special shout-out to the hotel dinner! We stayed for two nights, and on our last evening, everyone decided to eat at the hotel, and it was unexpectedly delicious. The white wine recommended by the waiter was also excellent. Even with the service charge, the food quality was superb and well worth it."

"The staff at Dona Palace were so friendly and helpful. The garden area for drinks is a real bonus, has it's own boat docking pier which means you can easily see all the gondolas going by. The room was lovely too, with plenty of room and we had a lovely view over the garden area. Breakfast was fabulous, a good range of continental style options plus hot options as well, the staff covering breakfast were also lovely and friendly. Very quiet, couldn't hear other guests moving around at all. Very close to San Marco Piazza and plenty of shops and restaurants close by and within easy walking distance. A wonderful 3 night stay, would definitely stay there again."

"Unfortunately, the hotel we stayed at had very poor sound insulation. It was impossible to sleep at night due to noise from the next room and outside. Because it's in a car-free zone, you have to walk at least 7-8 minutes with your luggage. Add to that the rain, and it becomes unbearable. The rooms are designed in a Baroque style, which is quite depressing. Despite paying for two nights, we said goodbye to the hotel after a sleepless night. Our payment was not refunded. I recommend that those considering staying there take these things into account before making a reservation."

"When I stayed at a four-star hotel, I asked WC to use it. The counter staff asked me to go to the corner outside. For the canal view, I just booked the annex building. Although the room decoration is still in the standard, the floor is on the 0th floor. There is a railing outside the window to block the same floor as the ship height. The TV receiving signal machine has been in poor contact. I asked the hotel staff to deal with it three times. I was too lazy to call it in the middle of the night. The network password was given after asking her. After that, there was a toilet flushing problem. The button was stuck and the water flow was always flowing. Although the hotel staff came to repair it, But the problems that have occurred in succession, along with the canal view outside the railing, have greatly affected the mood of the stay."

"Hotel wonderful, excellent location to walk to Venice and through the steam, as the Ca d'Or stop of line 1 (main line) is just in front of the hotel. The room was wonderful, in perfect Venetian style, elegant, clean and great, perfect for two people. Breakfast was also excellent, both sweet and salty, varied and tasteful. The service was excellent, 24-hour reception open, very friendly and available staff. We could not wish better for our stay!"

"Extremely satisfied with this hotel, I took so many photos! They had everything you'd expect from a hotel: soap, a kettle, shampoo, a shower cap, cotton swabs, tissues, disposable slippers, body lotion, and a hairdryer. We visited during the off-season, and I felt the price was really great for this area. The hotel is close to the piazza, with plenty of small restaurants and tiramisu shops nearby. The piazza itself is right by a large vaporetto (water bus) terminal. In winter, the room was kept warm and cozy with the AC on, and the bathroom was even warmer with its own heater. The hotel also offers luggage storage. While the hotel looks a bit old, it was still quite clean. For breakfast, I highly recommend trying the automatic waffle maker – it's fun and the waffles are delicious and fresh! (Press the button once for two waffles, twice for four). There's also a yogurt machine. The eight black containers in the picture are for jam and honey. They had six kinds of croissants, which were tasty, and fruits like tomatoes and kiwis. The roasted bacon was also good. Just a few other tips: 1. If you want to boil water, buy bottled water from a supermarket on the street – Venice water has too much limescale. 2. The tap water quality isn't great and has a slight odor, so be cautious with seafood (I got an upset stomach from a very famous restaurant…). 3. If you're taking a vaporetto to the airport, leave plenty of time, as the boat might stop mid-route, and you'll have to wait for the next one. 4. Burano (Rainbow Island) is definitely worth visiting, but only if it's a sunny day. You don't need a lot of time there; we spent about an hour on the island, taking photos and looking around."

"Although it's a 10-15 minute walk from the train station, and you have to cross a few bridges, it's totally worth it. It's an apartment hotel with one bedroom, one living room, and an open kitchen equipped with all the home appliances you could think of: a washing machine, microwave, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, and toaster – absolutely everything. There's no room service; you just need to clean the kitchen yourself. If you don't, they'll charge a cleaning fee, which we avoided by cleaning it ourselves. The best part is, there's a supermarket just a 1-minute walk away, with a great selection of meats and vegetables. We bought some veggies, blanched them in the kitchen, seasoned them with salt and black pepper, and really enjoyed a healthy meal. For meats, we bought various pre-marinated options, which we ate as is or pan-fried – all very flavorful. They also have bread, pizza, Italian dumplings, cakes, and fruits. One evening, we just bought our own food and satisfied our 'Chinese stomach.' Haha."
