"The room was quite spacious, and the bathroom with the shower was also large. However, the service was very subpar. As a solo female traveler with two suitcases, one of which was large, the staff member just left it in the middle of the doorway. I was waiting for a car right by the door, maybe a meter away. There were also many electric scooters right outside, and when I tried to bring my luggage in, they were blocking the way, and no one offered to help, even though the road was very close. The room slippers weren't disposable; they were those thong-style sandals that others had clearly worn, so I didn't use them. That was very inconvenient. There wasn't even soap or hand wash, which I needed to wash my hands before putting in my contact lenses. I really minded that. The door was very close to the pool, and there was absolutely no soundproofing. There was a group of men smoking right outside, and as a solo woman, I didn't feel very safe. The service also lacked any proper procedure. It was terrible. I will never stay at this hotel again in my life. Locking the door with the key was also inconvenient; you had to align both doors perfectly and force them together, which wasted so much of my time and effort. I've never encountered such an issue anywhere else I've stayed. The environment itself was decent, but everything else was bad. The electric kettle was very dirty, so I ended up going out to buy water. I will never come back here again. I'd rather pay a bit more for a much better experience. Also, the pool was deep, and I can only swim in shallow areas, which wasn't accommodating for me. I will never return. This was the worst experience I've had in 10 days. Kuta is really commercial, expensive, and has terrible service. Other areas are much more friendly and service-oriented."

"We had a great 5-day stay at this hotel. The service was excellent from start to finish. The front desk staff were efficient, and the housekeeping team was very thoughtful and often leaving cute, creative notes that made our stay extra special. "The hotel’s location is great, with plenty of restaurants nearby, and it’s just a 10-minute drive to the beach. The bed linens are clean and hygienic; the room is thoroughly cleaned every day, and in the evening they provide turndown service along with mosquito-repellent incense. The bath towels are a bit old, but we didn’t experience any skin irritation from them. I stayed in Villa No. 15. The swimming pool isn’t very clear, and the water feels a little salty. It’s fine for splashing around, but if you plan to actually swim, I recommend wearing good swim goggles. Overall, although the facilities are somewhat dated—the room decor and the smoothness of the doors could use a renovation—this is still a relatively high value-for-money option in this area. "Nice hotel with all necessary facilities. 10 min ride by bike to Canggu main streets. There is a nice pool bar on the top floor. But the quality of tap water was really bad( it was too smelly)"

"Stayed at Villa Kayu Raja in Seminyak and honestly had a really enjoyable experience. The villa itself was spacious, private, and perfect for a relaxing Bali getaway. I especially loved the private pool and the overall peaceful atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the stay, always greeting us warmly and assisting whenever needed. The location is also convenient — close to cafés, restaurants, and Seminyak attractions, yet still quiet enough to relax comfortably. The property does show some signs of aging in certain areas, but overall it was clean, comfortable, and worth the stay for the price. Breakfast was decent, and the villa vibe really gave that classic Bali holiday feeling. Would recommend for couples or friends looking for a private villa stay in Seminyak with good service and a great location."

"The villa was spacious and very clean. The staff were kind and friendly. They brought breakfast to my room at my request. The bed was very comfortable and l loved the duvet, it was light and fresh. Pool was great for an afternoon dip and l loved the privacy. The only negative for me was the lounge had a very hard bench with cushions to sit on, it was a killer for my back so l put the cushions on the floor which helped a little. My suggestion to management, please supply a small couch. Why go to the trouble of having such a lovely villa just to make it difficult for guests to enjoy watching tv. Aircon was really good and having a big fan in the living room was a bonus. Tip, dont book grab taxi as the address is not on their map. The taxi took me to the only Harum villa on his map and I was stuck outside the wrong villa, 20 minutes away, for about an hour. There is a sweet white/ginger cat who came over everyday for food and drink. I bought some dry food to leave for the next guest to give her."

"I arrived at the hotel at 12:20 PM and was offered a welcome drink (like iced tea). I got my room key at 1:00 PM, and they even brought my suitcase and bag all the way to the room. The room itself is good and has all the amenities. The bathroom initially had a slight damp smell, but the extractor fan fixed it. If I had to nitpick, some of the towels had stains. The hotel grounds are very pleasant, with a large pool and sun loungers both in the sun and in the shade. There are many international guests who always greet you and smile. The breakfasts aren't very diverse; by the fourth day, I was already tired of them. It's a 5-minute motorbike ride or a 20-minute walk to Seminyak Beach, Potato Head, and ShiShi. Overall, I would definitely come back, but I'd skip the breakfasts next time."

"The view, oh my god, it's just top-notch! 😍 Like something out of a movie. Waking up at dawn and seeing such beauty, wow. The staff are super polite, kind, and responsive. They explained everything, told us everything, and answered all our questions. Wow, the ladies at the reception, how can they be so sweet? The room is delightful. The bed, the swing, the view, the bathtub, the dryer, the shower, the water... But there's no fridge, just so you know if you bring your own. The temperature at night is super comfortable. There's a communal pool, more for photos than for swimming. Breakfast has a beautiful view, and it looks pretty, but it's tasteless. If you're willing to walk up to the main street, there are tons of cafes with huge menus and great options. Minuses: Flies. But you can't escape them there; they're in all the hotels, all the cafes. It's especially due to the nearby lava fields and sulfur, though it doesn't smell. There are a lot of them, especially at breakfast. They become fewer after sunset. The most important thing is the descent to the hotel and the ascent back up. The road is such that taxi drivers won't agree to go there, though for Russia, it's normal. 😉 The price includes a ride down to the hotel in an SUV upon check-in and an ascent to the main road upon check-out (from where you can easily call a taxi and leave, and also leave your moped in their parking lot). But if you want to go up from the hotel to the road at any other time, their shuttle costs 200k! 😱 Out of principle 🤣 and because it's impossible to call a taxi there (they'll refuse to go down), we walked up – it's not as scary as it might seem, but it takes about 30 minutes. The hotel offers night trekking to the volcano or a jeep tour. The price seems higher than the market rate, but it's very convenient 👍 when everything is together. I think it would be hard to live in those small 'onion' and 'potato' shaped rooms, but I didn't go inside; I just walked around the grounds – it's beautiful. It seems like they melt in the sun during the day."
