"I booked the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Zhujiajian in advance for my trip to Putuoshan during the Spring Festival. The hotel has a great location, nestled in Zhangzhou Harbor, Zhujiajian, with mountains behind and the sea in front. I checked in around 7 am. The front desk didn't explain how to use the travel photography package, nor did they mention the Spring Festival activities or breakfast hours; they were probably busy and forgot. Although the hotel only opened in 2023, the overall room amenities were average. Almost every electrical outlet in the room had a faulty connection (I called the front desk and the engineering department resolved the issue quickly, which is commendable). The soundproofing was terrible, a major flaw; after I mentioned it, they provided earplugs. Other amenities included a non-automatic toilet and a Leifen hairdryer. The room itself was quite spacious, and the balcony gave it a resort feel, offering views of Zhangzhou Harbor. The hotel service was average, perhaps due to staff shortages during the Spring Festival. However, the room rate was 300-400 yuan higher than usual, there was no welcome fruit, and the minibar was chargeable—these were unacceptable. I hope they can improve these details. The hotel's breakfast selection was decent for a standard five-star hotel, including seafood noodles. However, the bread selection was limited. When both of us went to get food, the staff, assuming we were finished, cleared everything away – a bit too eager. This is an area the hotel management could improve. Upon checking out, I saw some teddy bears in a nearby shop and wanted to buy one. The front desk gave me a discount. After inquiring about my stay and providing honest feedback, the hotel apologized and gave me a large bag of snacks and a cup of coffee. They also offered to upgrade my room next time. The service was quite good. Overall, as a standard five-star Crowne Plaza hotel, although the facilities are slightly lacking, the hotel maintained service quality despite staff shortages during the Spring Festival. Problems were resolved promptly, and the staff's attitude was good. I would choose this hotel again next time I visit Zhoushan."
