"The bed was super comfy, and they even provided two types of pillows, which were also great! We arrived late, past 11 PM, from Ningbo High-Speed Railway Station and hadn't had dinner. To my surprise, the hotel offered complimentary millet porridge. It was a thoughtful touch and hit the spot! The overall environment is really nice. It's also a quick taxi ride, about 8 RMB, to Wugongsi Pier."

"This stay was fantastic! The room had an amazing view, with the beautiful blue ocean on one side and lush green mountains on the other – truly a healing view. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, and I highly recommend their seafood noodles; the broth was rich and flavorful, and there were plenty of ingredients, leaving me feeling very satisfied. Overall, I was very happy with the environment and location. It's great value for money, and I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance!"

Her attentive service and skill in arranging accommodations were instrumental in ensuring a wonderful and seamless stay. Her dedication to excellence is truly commendable. I was offered a room at Level 12, outside the lift lobby and also beside a group stay rooms which was really noisy. I was immedidately change to Higher floor room at Level 16 which was quiet and i have a very good night sleep. The view of Stadium was also very nice"

I stayed in a duplex suite. The second floor has a balcony and a tea room, perfect for enjoying tea while transcribing scriptures. The first floor features a large table, a mini-bar, and a separate wet/dry bathroom. The room was very quiet, possibly because it was located further inside the building.
💁🏻Service:
The housekeeper was friendly, and all the staff I encountered were very welcoming.

* The overall decor style is very comfortable, utilizing a lot of natural light. The central 'Pure Vase Tree' landscape is very soothing to the eyes.
* Excellent location, right next to Dacheng Nunnery, where Changsheng Zhai Cai (a vegetarian restaurant) is located. It's also not far from Fayu Temple, about a 20-minute walk.
* Breakfast was noteworthy 😋
* The shuttle service between the hotel and the pier is a great perk, as the public shuttle buses on the island are notoriously difficult to catch. You can walk along the path, pray along the way to the pier, and then take the hotel shuttle back (confirm in advance).
* Being able to transcribe scriptures and burn incense in the room really helps calm the mind.
* Complimentary welcome fruit is provided daily, and the fruit was very sweet 😘"

"I really have to praise the environment of this hotel! The location is excellent, with convenient transportation nearby, yet it's not noisy. The soundproofing in the rooms is fantastic; once you close the door, you're completely isolated from the outside hustle and bustle. The interior design style is perfectly to my taste, the furniture is neatly arranged, and the cleanliness is exceptionally thorough – not a speck of dust even in the corners. The view from the window is also lovely, with an expansive vista that really brightens your mood in the morning. The hotel's public areas are also very tidy; the elevators and stairwells are spotless. Overall, the experience was superb, and I highly recommend it to everyone!"

"Upon arrival, the front desk warmly upgraded me to an executive room, which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The food was fresh, with a wide variety of freshly grilled and cooked items like seafood, steak, and prawns – absolutely fantastic! Breakfast also featured an impressive array of pastries, highlighting the hotel's excellent dining options. The hotel boasts a superb location, with Kaihong Shopping Mall and RT-Mart nearby, making shopping very convenient. It's also just a ten-minute drive to Wugong Temple Pier, making it an ideal stopover before heading to Putuoshan. I choose Hai Zhong Zhou every year when I visit Putuoshan!"

VVictor RUWe had a lovely stay at Sea Cliff Hotel for May 1st break.
This is what I liked:
- buying ship ticket for May holiday was mission impossible, starting with Tickets App not accepting foreign passports. Hotel helped me with arranging the tickets both ways, even after there were no tickets online (sold out in 20 min)
- they arranged a pick us up on arrival and brought us back to the pier on departure
- hotel has an excellent sea view location, very silent and sea centric rooms, same for restaurant
- everything is modern, I specifically liked ability to share Apple screens on TV in the room, great way to review photos and watch own movies in the evening
- good breakfast 8 to 9AM, you can come 8:45 and enjoy a late breakfast as well; we also had late lunch in hotel restaurant on arrival, great food, great to seat outside, flexible working hours (not closed 14-17!), actually I liked their meals more than what we had on the main beach top restaurant, finally reception can brew you a coffee though bit hot
- there is 20 min walk from the hotel for a great bay and coffee place to watch sunset, excellent experience and no need to wake up early
- hotel was always online on WeChat to address any issues or questions, including how to organize a day, fantastic services!
- hotel has own beach area, looks like good to swim, I will consider for summer, water is clean on the island, and this is just couple of hours from Shanghai
- small drawback: fishing boats pass by from early morning, this may disturb your morning sleep ;)
- other thing the bed is a bit too hard for my back, but where did you see soft beds in China?
Overall: highly recommended!

GGuest UserWe love everything about Healray Collection. Our flight arrived late, and took a late ferry over to the Island. Luckily they had shuttle service from and to Ferry, which made it so much easier than calling a car service. When we arrived, they assisted us unloading the luggage. Our room got excellent view and could see the Guan Yin statue from our room. I'm OCD, so cleanliness is very important to me and I approved. We booked two nights, sadly we were only able to stay one night due to a Gale warning. The hotel had such a great customer service, when we were sightseeing, they gave us a call to inform us that they received a Gale warning and that the ferry will not operate the next day. They gave us an option to stay or refund us the one night if we wished to checkout to catch the ferry. They were very helpful and resourceful in that respect. The manager Zhou Min reached out to our online booking to verify our refund. We were very pleased and amazed with their extraordinary service. I personally would definitely refer and book with them again. I care about service and they have one of the best service I've had experienced.

MMaria13579One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh.
First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle.
The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got.
They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai.
Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure!
Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

QQingqiuruhuatuikeaiThe boss is very nice, and there are two lovely volunteer sisters. It's fun like a dream. The boss and the two lovely volunteer sisters live a loving life by the sea. I like their atmosphere very much. I want to give my cat to the boss sister so that the cat can live a good life. Although it is a youth hostel, it is no worse than a hotel. (The hotels on the island are of varying quality. Instead of spending five or six hundred to find a so-so one, it is better to have the boss sister's youth hostel.) The house is warm and romantic, and there is a breath of life everywhere. It's so romantic to face the sea and watch them paint.

GGuest UserThe hotel's environment was fantastic: our balcony offered expansive sea views, and the garden was absolutely stunning. A small gate through the garden led straight to the beach. Since it was off-season, it wasn't crowded at all, which made for a very pleasant experience.
The service was excellent; the front desk, bellhops, and cleaning staff were all incredibly friendly.
The facilities were a bit dated, but for the price, the value for money was exceptional.
I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserService was good, from the helpful shuttle bus drivers to the prompt service of the technician-we had difficulty turning on the TV initially. However, we were confused about the shuttle bus stops stated by the hotel as there are designated hotel shuttle bus stops which are different from the different temples stops where only the public buses can go.
The breakfast spread was not big but adequate. The hotel room was comfortable although not big. I like the Zen design. The windows were open when we entered the hotel room, hence there were two flies in the room. We turned on the electric mosquito repellent. Luckily, they did not disturb us. The attendants should not open the windows when doing room cleaning lest insects go into the room. The island has many trees so there are insects-mosquitoes, flies etc around.
The room walls are thin though. I could hear the neighbouring rooms talking along the corridor and the room attendant coming by to their rescue saying he is the room attendant.
The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the sea, good for an evening walk.
Overall, the quality is good and the hotel room was comfortable. Definitely a hotel I could return to.

The rooms are very clean and tidy, and the owner is very kind, offering to pick up and drop off luggage at the pier. I would definitely choose this guesthouse again next year if I go there again.

GGuest UserThe host picked us up at the pier and helped deliver our luggage to the room. The entrance to the community is very busy, with many guests staying at the B&B. There are also many shops nearby for shopping and dining. The room is exactly as shown in the photos, very clean, with toiletries and a mahjong machine. Overall, it's pretty good.
