"We stayed in the triple room for one night and the twin room for another. Both rooms were spacious, clean, decent, and had all the necessities. The triple room is set up with one bed and a work desk outside the bedroom, but this area does not have air conditioning. So, if you need to sleep with the AC on, this room may not be ideal for three people. We booked the room for two, so we were fine sleeping in the actual bedroom, which had twin beds. The TV is digital and has Netflix, and free Wi-Fi is available. The lobby is on the 3rd floor, and there is a small elevator. Breakfast offers both Western options (bread, sausages, etc.) and rice dishes with various vegetable side dishes. The desserts were especially delicious. The location is perfect. There are two Korean convenience stores nearby, CU and G25, and the hotel is within walking distance of Sükhbaatar Square and museums with plenty of restaurants and cafés around the area. If I revisit Mongolia, I would definitely stay here again."

When staying at Sanfu Hotel, you'll be perfectly positioned to explore Sukhbaatar District. For extra convenience free luggage storage are available at the property as well.

"Great value for money. The price was really affordable, especially with breakfast included. It's a bit of a walk from the city center, but not inconveniently far. The breakfast was delicious too. The staff were also very friendly. I had a windowless, budget room with only a fan, so it was a little hot, but I chose a cheap room, so that's to be expected. Even so, the value for money was excellent."

"For this price, what you pay what you get. The room i get is so quiet. but the curtain cannot close 100% so, it had some light in the night from the street. No water provided. No air condition. No cleaning during the day. A towel a little bit old. The good thing is the location near 2 convenience store and bus station."

"My sister and I went to Ulaanbaatar for a concert and wanted to stay somewhere close to the city center and the stadium. Turns out the hotel is right in the heart of the city, with lots of great cafes and malls within walking distance! The hostel owner is very responsive and comes to chat with the guests; I gathered she also does the laundry and cleaning there. She always answered my questions on WhatsApp and checked if we were enjoying everything. Plus, the people at the hostel weren't noisy. We also really liked the shower and how warm and soft the duvets were!"

"My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Ulaanbaatar Boutique Hotel. The location is excellent—it’s conveniently close to shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it easy to explore the city on foot. A special mention goes to the breakfast team. It was such a pleasant surprise to see fellow Filipinos providing such outstanding hospitality. Stanley Barcia, Vincent Monterde, Rena Grace Adlit, Nikkie Rose Alcansado, and Beave Kristine Alivio were all incredibly attentive, welcoming, and warm throughout our stay. They always greeted us with genuine smiles and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed each morning. Their friendliness and excellent service truly made our breakfasts enjoyable and memorable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Ulaanbaatar Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Mongolia."

"The room isn't huge, but the service is excellent. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with any questions I had. For a local hotel, both the room design and the service are really top-notch. The only downside was that I stayed during the summer, and there was no fan or air conditioning. It got a bit warm during the day, though thankfully it was cool enough at night to sleep with a blanket on 😂. On the plus side, it's very close to Emart, which was super convenient for shopping. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit."

"The hotel was great, can heartily recommend it! The breakfast was very tasty, the room was spacious and super comfortable, the gym and the sauna were both excellent! Hunnu Camp

Amazing

Exceptional Hidden Gem! No Tourist Hassle, Just Pure Heartfelt Mongolian Hospitality and Amazing Comfort❤️ Our three-night stay at Hunnu Tourist Camp completely exceeded our expectations. It offers insane value for money and is the ultimate choice if you want to escape overcrowded commercial traps and experience the true harmony of Mongolian nature and genuine human connection. Pure Hospitality with Zero Hassle (Our Deepest Impression): The best part about this camp is the vibe. The hosts give you complete peace and space—there is absolutely none of the aggressive upselling or tourist hassle you often find elsewhere. They might seem quiet, but they are deeply attentive, showing their warmth through thoughtful actions rather than loud words. July Summer Comfort & Cozy Bedding: We visited in early July. Even though the daytime temperature reached 30°C outside, the inside of the ger remained surprisingly cool, airy, and refreshed without any air conditioning. However, summer nights on the steppe can plunge to single digits. To our delight, the beds were equipped with electric blankets, and the hosts even proactively brought us an electric heater because they were worried we might get cold. We slept incredibly warm and soundly! Wonderful Included Breakfast & Great Dining Options: Complimentary Breakfast: A delicious buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. It was a wonderful surprise to have a varied spread of fresh vegetables, meat, fruits, and boiled eggs on the steppe, along with comforting Korean seaweed soup and traditional Mongolian hot broth. Dinner Recommendation (Khorkhog): We highly recommend pre-ordering the traditional Mongolian stone-roasted meat (Khorkhog). It takes about 2 hours to prepare, so we usually ordered it during breakfast for our dinner. The portions are huge and come with a great variety of side dishes. Paid À La Carte Options: For other meals, the restaurant offers an excellent and affordable daily menu of Mongolian and Korean dishes that are freshly made to order. We loved the Kimchi tofu soup with rice, stir-fried spicy pork belly, handmade mutton fried noodles (Tsuivan), and crispy Khuushuur. Everything was satisfying and very well-priced! The Sweetest Check-out Gesture: On our final day, we had to catch a chartered car back to Ulaanbaatar Airport (UBN) at 7:00 AM, long before breakfast hours. We went to say goodbye to the host the night before and mentioned we would leave our ger door open upon departure. Hearing this, the host immediately went to pack a breakfast box for us for the next morning, filled with boiled eggs, fresh cucumbers, and mandarins. Receiving this thoughtful, handmade meal in the chilling steppe air deeply moved and healed us. Facilities & Activities: Shared bathrooms were kept spotless with abundant hot water. The surrounding nature is stunning for hiking, featuring lush meadow wetlands, unique gully erosion, and roaming livestock. You can even spot the Genghis Khan Statue Complex in the distance. The camp has its own stables where you can pay to ride horses directly to the Tuul River. They even provide traditional Mongolian costumes (Deel) in the lobby for guests to try on for free. Final Thoughts on Mongolian Culture: Throughout this journey, I deeply felt the spirit of the Mongolian nomads, who have coexisted alongside horses, sheep, wolves, and harsh blizzards for thousands of years. They hold a profound reverence for nature, viewing humans and animals not in a hierarchy, but as equal living beings nurtured by the same earth. This dignified, grounded, and unpretentious attitude is worlds apart from modern commercial societies, and it is precisely what made this journey so rare and precious to us. A perfect 10/10!

The hotel's location is super central; it's a 10-minute walk to landmarks like the Blue Sky Hotel, the National University of Mongolia, and the GOBI cashmere store. It's about 50 km from the airport, but it took us 2.5 hours to get there due to heavy traffic. When I asked why, I learned a few things: firstly, used cars are incredibly cheap to import into Mongolia, with no tariffs, and you'll see both left and right-hand drive vehicles, leading to a huge number of car purchases. Secondly, the city's road planning is inadequate; the roads are already narrow, parking is unregulated, and there are no subways or ring roads to ease congestion. Thirdly, while Mongolia has a population of 3.5 million and a land area of 1.56 million square kilometers, averaging only two people per square kilometer, the vastness of the country means households own 1.5-2 cars on average. The breakfast was good; I especially liked the yogurt and cereal, and the dining environment was elegant and comfortable. The staff were all very professional. Overall, I was satisfied with the hotel. I did have two minor complaints: 1. I couldn't find an electrical outlet near the bed for charging. 2. The sink was a bit too low, requiring me to constantly bend over, which was a bit hard on my back.

I stayed here the day before my flight home. There are local supermarkets nearby, and a shopping mall is just a short walk away. Gandan Monastery is also within walking distance. When I asked the hotel to arrange a taxi to the airport for the next morning, it cost 150,000 Tugriks, and they prepared a lunch box for me instead of breakfast. It seems like there are a lot of Korean guests, and it was a bit noisy at night.

Fantastic stay in Ulaanbaatar – highly recommended! Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. For a hotel right in the city center during peak season, the price was super reasonable. The room is well-maintained and the decor still feels quite fresh and modern. The location is absolutely perfect. It is within easy walking distance to all the main tourist spots in Ulaanbaatar, such as Sukhbaatar Square, the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, and the State Department Store. Given that traffic in downtown Ulaanbaatar is notoriously bad, walking is definitely much faster than taking a car! I was also impressed by the comprehensive range of toiletries provided. Everything you could possibly need—toothpaste, a comb, a razor, and a shower cap—was all there, and they even included a sewing kit! The staff speak fluent English, making communication a breeze. They were also incredibly helpful—after I checked out to head to Terelj National Park, they kindly assisted me in booking a taxi. If I ever visit Ulaanbaatar again, I will definitely choose to stay here!

The hotel room is spacious, and the location is good, about a 15-minute walk from the plaza. However, the breakfast was a bit limited and served in small portions. There are restaurants on the first two floors below, and the Chinese restaurant served up some delicious food – we ate there twice!

The hotel exceeded our expectations! We booked a room for 3 adults and 1 child on our way to Ulaanbaatar. It's not centrally located, but in a quiet area near the train station. This suited us perfectly since we had our own car, and a great bonus was the private parking right outside our window. There's also a CU convenience store nearby for essentials. The breakfast was simple but filling, with Chinese cuisine. It’s best to go around 8 AM, though the chef does replenish dishes later. Our room had a kitchenette, but no sink or necessary utensils, just a fridge (which we didn't use) and a kettle. The room itself was very spacious and clean. Housekeeping came every day. We either had no neighbors or the soundproofing was excellent, as we didn't hear a thing. The only downside was that the radiators were cold, so it was a bit chilly. However, since we were only there to sleep and have breakfast, we barely noticed it. I definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a good, quiet place with breakfast and private parking at a great price!

The hotel is close to many restaurants and a shopping mall called Max Mall. I have some good and not so good things to share about the hotel before anyone decides to stay here. The best person to speak to at the hotel is definitely a lady called Narandulam. She is the general manager, has excellent English, and is very knowledgeable. She was incredibly helpful and able to assist with everything. The hotel also allowed me to leave my suitcases there free of charge, so thank you to everyone for that! Ulaanbaatar has a massive traffic problem due to a lack of efficient public transportation. So, although the hotel is in a good location, actually getting there can be a nightmare. After one of my day trips, I was stuck in traffic for 3 hours! 😩 I also had issues with the showers in two different rooms. The water doesn’t drain properly and ended up flooding into the room. This is definitely something the hotel needs to fix. Another small issue was that the receptionist (I’m not sure of her name) didn’t speak enough English to help with basic questions, such as “Where is the closest ATM?” For anyone wondering, there is an ATM across the road, and another one inside Max Mall.

An Absolute Gem in Terelj! Modern Comfort Meets Breathtaking Wilderness 🏔️✨ If you are looking for a place in Gorkhi Terelj National Park that perfectly balances modern luxury, endless entertainment, and untouched natural beauty, Imperial Mount Resort is the ultimate choice. The Ultimate Host: The biggest highlight of our stay was the resort owner, who is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and speaks fluent English. Having a host you can communicate with easily in the wilderness is a game-changer. There is absolutely no need to join a rigid group tour; the owner quickly arranged a private driver for us (at our own expense) to visit nearby attractions like Turtle Rock and the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex. It allowed us to customize our own itinerary and enjoy total freedom. The Vibe & Accommodation: The resort is beautifully designed with a sleek, modern wooden main building. We stayed in a Duplex Dome, which offered incredible space and a skylight for stargazing. The biggest luxury was the private, clean bathroom with excellent hot water and separate wet/dry areas—a rare find that completely redefines the typical Mongolian camping experience! The resort sits in a peaceful valley surrounded by majestic rock formations and roaming horses, giving it a dreamy, ”Little Switzerland” feel. Top-Notch Amenities (All Free!): Unlike other remote camps, this place keeps you entertained. Inside the main building, there is a designated Ping Pong room, a billiards table, and Karaoke rooms—all completely free to use! Outside, they have basketball court, volleyball court, a colorful children's playground, and BBQ pits. Incredible Food: The dining here blew us away. The included breakfast was fresh and relaxing. However, I highly recommend ordering their ala carte dinner. They serve a fantastic mix of Western and traditional Mongolian dishes. We ordered the grilled meat skewers with fries, a massive chicken Caesar salad, a comforting hot vegetable and meat stew, and traditional Mongolian Huushuur (deep-fried meat pastries) and Buuz (steamed dumplings). Everything was incredibly flavorful and hearty! Horseback Riding Nearby: There is a professional horse ranch run by a neighbor just 100 meters away. It costs 30,000 MNT per hour, which is very reasonable. Tip: If it's your first time riding, I highly recommend hiring a coach to guide you for safety. Verdict: 10/10. An unforgettable stay with amazing hospitality. I would come back in a heartbeat!

On my way back from a 14-day trip to the Altai Tavan Bogd, Turgen Valley, and Akh Su regions of Western Mongolia, I rested for 14 hours at Eagle Town, which is close to the airport, because the layover for my flight back to Korea was too long. Although it wasn't a new apartment, it was very clean, and Manager Roshan responded promptly and kindly to my text messages regarding the reservation and airport pickup/drop-off, so I experienced no inconvenience. With a Korean convenience store and grocery store nearby, I was able to cook meals and take a good nap while resting, which helped me relieve travel fatigue before catching my flight home. I will definitely stay here again.

Room: The hotel needs to clean the room thoroughly, not just the bathroom but also the carpeted area, and fix the base board moldings as well as the loose heater radiator which supposed to be anchored down to the wall. Although the room is carpeted wall to wall, I can see bare floor on the edges and the corners. Location: Not good, but at the same time not bad either. All attractions are within $3~$4 away which is more than I paid in other ~stan countries nearby. May be it is a Mongoljan thing, but for me it wasn't easy to hire taxi cab unless I am willing to pay the extra tips. The front staffs: Very friendly and eager to provide help. Not all of them speaks English, but it is not a problem since they translator app is widely available. Furnitures in the room: Very old, and there are wears and tears every part of the furniture. I don't know the other rooms, but the room I was given was too small for the furnitures to be placed in first place. Overall: I wouldn't stay here again. The over all conditions of the hotel was not even close to the pictures shown in the trip.com app. If you select this hotel based on the pictures, you would be very disappointed if you are given the room I stayed in. Avoid Room 602 anyway you can.
