Costing millions of yuan, this high-end guesthouse, meticulously crafted over three years by dozens of skilled craftsmen, perfectly embodies the architectural aesthetic of the Ili River Valley's diverse cultures. Inside, the courtyard's blue and green carved doors and windows, and walls clad in red brick and birch wood, evoke a rich sense of ethnic character. The intricate geometric carvings on the columns and eaves blend the essence of West Asian, Russian, and Islamic art. Inside, exquisite hand-carved patterns bloom on the objects, wooden furniture features mortise and tenon joints to create rustic silhouettes, earthenware craftsmanship preserves the texture of time through twisting and firing, and paintings depict folk scenes in rich, rich colors. Traditionally patterned fabrics on bed curtains and curtains sway gently in the breeze, creating a warm and unique atmosphere. The guest rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as smart toilets and thermostatically controlled floor heating. They also feature imported red oak furniture, custom-made Mousse mattresses, and high-end amenities such as TOTO sanitary ware, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable stay while immersing yourself in the local culture. The service at the B&B is exceptionally attentive. Upon check-in, the housekeeper will serve tea and fresh fruit. A complimentary nutritious Xinjiang breakfast is also available, along with unlimited fruit, pastries, and beverages available 24/7. The B&B is also pet-friendly, and I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Liuxing Street.

It's right next to the bustling Liuxing Street, so you can walk to the old town, yet it's perfectly quiet at night, completely undisturbed by the tourist hustle. A taxi from the airport only takes 15 minutes, making transfers super convenient. The housekeeper was incredibly thoughtful. They welcomed us with local snacks, shared detailed tips for exploring, and even gave us special local souvenirs when we checked out. Plus, there's a free airport drop-off service – they really pay attention to the details. The room was spacious and clean, with walls and bedding featuring unique rhombus geometric patterns from Yili, giving it a strong local feel. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The hotel breakfast was decent, but with so many local specialty restaurants nearby, there were endless dining options. The amenities are also great for families, with self-service laundry that's convenient and hassle-free, a kids' play area, and a card room. On days when we didn't have plans, just relaxing at the guesthouse was comfortable, allowing us to slowly soak in the leisurely pace of Yili. It was a very healing accommodation experience.

A True Hidden Gem – The Best Stay of My Xinjiang Trip! Out of my entire journey across Xinjiang, this homestay was by far the most memorable and heartwarming experience. The moment I stepped into the beautifully decorated home, with its stunning blue hues, traditional Uyghur details, and peaceful courtyard covered by a canopy of vines, I instantly felt at ease. It truly felt like home. What made it even more special was the incredible hospitality. The owner was exceptionally friendly, always ready with a warm smile and willing to help with anything I needed—whether it was sharing local tips, helping with transportation, or simply chatting over tea. Their kindness made me feel not just like a guest, but like part of the family. The attention to detail in every corner, the peaceful swing in the courtyard, and the cozy atmosphere created the perfect setting to relax after a day of exploring. I can’t recommend this place enough—if you’re traveling through Xinjiang and want to experience genuine warmth and culture, this is the place to be.

Even in Yining, Xinjiang, the Intercontinental Hualuxe maintains the consistent high standards of an IHG brand hotel. We traveled a long way with our friends, arriving in Yining from Urumqi after 4 PM. The lovely manager at the front desk (a Uyghur lady) immediately helped us check in. Seeing that we were a family of three with a lot of luggage, she even upgraded us to a deluxe twin room and gave us a complimentary breakfast 🍳. The hospitality of the Xinjiang people was truly evident. That evening, being unfamiliar with the area, we decided to dine at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. They offered a blend of Xinjiang and Cantonese cuisine. As someone from Guangdong, I was delighted to find an authentic 'Yang Zhi Gan Lu' (mango pomelo sago) dessert 🍨 – it was absolutely five-star amazing! We will definitely choose to stay at the Intercontinental Hualuxe again when we return from the grasslands and canyons! ~👍

Even though I only stayed for one night, the value for money was truly excellent. The location is right inside the Kazanqi scenic area, so it's easy to find by taxi. The front desk lady was very kind and enthusiastic, and even helped me with my luggage. The room was clean, and the comforter and pillows felt brand new. The courtyard is huge and absolutely beautiful. That night, I even joined a mahjong game with some other guests – it was so much fun! I hope to stay longer next time.

Our trip to Yining led us to the 'Slow Time' B&B in Liuxing Street. The location was perfect – right outside were popular restaurants, and it was very close to the East Gate and a parking lot, making it super convenient for getting around, dining, and parking. The B&B's design was incredibly thoughtful; the owner did a fantastic job blending ethnic styles with modern simplicity. With the carpets, tiles, and vintage lighting, photos came out great even without filters. The hygiene and facilities were also impeccable, clearly showing the owner's refined taste. In the evening, we listened to street music and danced with the minority girls from the restaurant, making for a lively atmosphere. We woke up to the sunlight and the smell of freshly baked *baozi* – now that's the right way to vacation!

The location is great, right next to Liuxing Street and Jiefang Street. It's also close to the meeting point for group tours. However, the room is a bit old, and the hallway outside the room isn't very clean. But generally, the in-room hygiene is acceptable. The uncle at the front desk is very friendly and provides 24-hour service!

Traveling solo, I stayed for three nights and found the place to be quite clean. It's not far from Six-Star Street, which is a convenient walk. For Kazanqi, you'll need a taxi, and Sayram Lake is about 150km away by car. The front desk staff were all very helpful and friendly. A big thanks to them for helping me send a package (I couldn't fit it all in my luggage for the flight). P.S. There's a minced meat noodles shop near the hotel that is absolutely delicious, haha~

I originally didn't want to write this glowing review, fearing it would become too popular and I wouldn't be able to book a stay again. But after a few days, I felt I'd be doing myself a disservice not to. The hostel is right next to the bustling Liuxing Street in the city center. Step outside, and you're amidst vibrant streets and alleys where you can find baked buns,拌面 (banmian – mixed noodles), and hand-pulled rice dishes just a few steps away. It's also convenient for getting to the bus station and the airport. Yet, once you turn into the alley, it becomes wonderfully quiet. The old locust tree at the entrance is adorned with colorful wishing tags – red, yellow, blue – gently swaying in the breeze, as if whispering everyday stories for passersby. The front desk staff are incredibly responsive; messages are answered almost instantly. They patiently help you with directions and arranging shared rides, always enthusiastic and thoughtful without being intrusive – a comfortable balance. The rooms and beds are clean and tidy, changed for every guest, washed and sun-dried. The entire hostel is non-smoking, so the air is so fresh it makes you want to take a deep breath. Staying here feels secure, and you wake up refreshed. The facilities are complete, and the self-service kitchen is convenient and quick, with pots, pans, utensils, and seasonings available. You can store leftover fruit in the fridge and eat it the next day, which is both money-saving and comfortable. The cafe offers freshly ground, professionally made coffee that's delicious and not expensive; one cup can last you an entire afternoon. The reading room is elegant and quiet, with well-worn books that sometimes have pencil notes left by previous readers – you can easily lose track of time there. There's a strong international vibe, with backpackers from various countries chatting in the common area, a mix of English, French, and Spanish. You can join in or just smile and listen, and no one will find it strange. In the end, I did write this – a five-star review, truly recommended. I hope it becomes popular, yet I also fear it becoming too popular. But good things should be known by more people. Next time I come to Yining, I'll definitely stay here again.

I'm very particular about accommodation details, but this hotel left me with absolutely nothing to complain about. The facilities are impeccably maintained, not a single thing out of place or damaged. The bathroom had just the right amount of disinfectant smell, and the towels were pristine white and odorless. The staff handled my luggage with care, and the breakfast fruit was so fresh you could practically squeeze juice from it. Even the free parking lot was perfectly laid out. Absolutely fantastic!
