On Liuxing Street in Yining, there's a captivating spot: Wusong Ancient Inn | Western Regions Designer Courtyard. Stepping inside, you feel like stepping back in time into an exquisite Uyghur palace. Costing millions of yuan, this high-end guesthouse, meticulously crafted over three years by dozens of skilled craftsmen, perfectly embodies the architectural aesthetic of the Ili River Valley's diverse cultures. Inside, the courtyard's blue and green carved doors and windows, and walls clad in red brick and birch wood, evoke a rich sense of ethnic character. The intricate geometric carvings on the columns and eaves blend the essence of West Asian, Russian, and Islamic art. Inside, exquisite hand-carved patterns bloom on the objects, wooden furniture features mortise and tenon joints to create rustic silhouettes, earthenware craftsmanship preserves the texture of time through twisting and firing, and paintings depict folk scenes in rich, rich colors. Traditionally patterned fabrics on bed curtains and curtains sway gently in the breeze, creating a warm and unique atmosphere. The guest rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as smart toilets and thermostatically controlled floor heating. They also feature imported red oak furniture, custom-made Mousse mattresses, and high-end amenities such as TOTO sanitary ware, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable stay while immersing yourself in the local culture. The service at the B&B is exceptionally attentive. Upon check-in, the housekeeper will serve tea and fresh fruit. A complimentary nutritious Xinjiang breakfast is also available, along with unlimited fruit, pastries, and beverages available 24/7. The B&B is also pet-friendly, and I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Liuxing Street.

The room was spacious, the bedding was excellent, and I slept very comfortably. It had a strong ethnic feel. The room was very soundproof and clean; sitting in the courtyard in the evening was very pleasant. The owner was incredibly welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent and plentiful. They even helped cut the watermelon, and the cocktails they made were delicious and beautiful – so talented! It's also very close to Liuxing Street, with many great restaurants nearby; the location is fantastic. When I asked the owner, they recommended well-known local restaurants, not just trendy ones, but very good and tasteful. I'll definitely stay with the owner again next time! A nice hotel that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The room is cozy with warm downlights, and a thoughtful design feature where all lights can be turned off at night, but motion-sensor backlighting automatically guides you to the bathroom when you walk—very practical and well designed. I didn’t book the room with breakfast initially, but they had a breakfast promotion available on the spot, which turned out to be quite worth it. The breakfast selection was good with quite a lot of variety, including a noodle station. One thing that really impressed me was the “invisible staff” at the laundry room. I placed my clothes in the washing machine with a sticky note, and when I returned to move them to the dryer, everything had already been transferred. After drying, my clothes were neatly folded and placed in a basket. It was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, a very convenient and well-managed stay.

A True Hidden Gem – The Best Stay of My Xinjiang Trip! Out of my entire journey across Xinjiang, this homestay was by far the most memorable and heartwarming experience. The moment I stepped into the beautifully decorated home, with its stunning blue hues, traditional Uyghur details, and peaceful courtyard covered by a canopy of vines, I instantly felt at ease. It truly felt like home. What made it even more special was the incredible hospitality. The owner was exceptionally friendly, always ready with a warm smile and willing to help with anything I needed—whether it was sharing local tips, helping with transportation, or simply chatting over tea. Their kindness made me feel not just like a guest, but like part of the family. The attention to detail in every corner, the peaceful swing in the courtyard, and the cozy atmosphere created the perfect setting to relax after a day of exploring. I can’t recommend this place enough—if you’re traveling through Xinjiang and want to experience genuine warmth and culture, this is the place to be.

I stayed in the intercontinental for one night and I wish I had more time here. The hotel is new and decorated in a sleek yet exotic fashion. The room is very spacious, with a comfy king sized bed and choices for pillows. Amenities wise, the room is equipped with the usual Blanche line of personal care products (however the hair brush is still quite rubbish...). The view from the room is superb, overlooking the yili river and the small apple lake with the mountains in the background. The executive lounge is dainty and the cocktail hours buffet was delicious (though doesn't have a huge alcoholic choices like some other executive lounges). Sitting in the lounge and watching the sunset over the river was a fantastic experience. The location of the hotel is a bit remote but it is perfect for someone wants to wander around the yili river park and/or do a nice long and peaceful run/bike ride. Gym is small but meets the basic needs (has dumbbells, cross trainer and treadmill but no bar bells or rack). The swimming pool looks fancy and big, makes it ideal for leisure and training. Lastly, and most importantly, for my stay I truly appreciated the hard working staff here. They have made my already wonderful stay perfect. A big shout out to the concierge team, especially 来存智 Leonard, the concierge supervisor, they have gone out of their way to help me. I wanted to visit some ethnic group bar at mid night and given the distances and lack of taxis, Leonard, together with his team, helped me get to the right place and Leonard personally drove me back from the bar at 3am. I was able to have a great night thanks to him. Upon checking out, I was also given a nice souvenir to mark a perfect stay (unfortunately I left it on the taxi due to rushing!!! To whoever is the next lucky passenger to pick it up: I am jealous!).

We stayed twice at this wonderful, relaxing amd very clean boutique bed and breakfast. Both my kids loved the place. The advantages of Ser Villa are in the amazing service, convenient location in Kizanqi town quite close to many popular areas, and wonderful atmosphere. We specifically requested a smaller space - our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids - 8 year old and 12 year old) were quite comfortable with three large mattresses on a raised dais - although we were offered an upgrade, we preferred a smaller space. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the homey feel of the small courtyard where you can take in a leisurely breakfast. Boss Momo was an incredibly helpful and generous resource despite language barriers. The laundry service was so necessary for us and my children loved getting the 1 RMB icecream/popsicles. Of the many places we stayed, Ser Villa was one of the most memorable and relaxed. Momo was so accomodating to our needs - medicine refrigeration, helping us order food and transport and having lived in the GCC the shataaf in the bathroom was a welcome surprise. My daughter and son said it was a TEN and they are not easy to please.

This guesthouse completely exceeded my expectations for this trip, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-quality travel experience. The overall environment of the guesthouse is beautiful, retaining the local cultural and ethnic characteristics. The interior decor is cozy yet stylish, with soft lighting and quality furniture that avoids the generic commercial feel. It truly allows you to shed the fatigue of your journey instantly. The guesthouse's location is excellent. It avoids the hustle and bustle of the city center while still offering easy access to core attractions. It's incredibly convenient to find authentic local snacks and explore unique shops. If you want to visit more distant scenic spots, getting a taxi right outside is easy, so you don't have to worry about transportation at all. The facilities at the guesthouse far surpassed my expectations. Not only are they comprehensive, but the attention to detail is also incredibly thoughtful. The bedding in the room was soft and comfortable, and the Mousse mattress had just the right firmness – I slept through the night without any of the usual aches and pains from travel. The Dyson hairdryer was excellent, and the air conditioning cooled down the room very quickly. Cleanliness definitely gets full marks. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the guesthouse's strict adherence to cleanliness. The floor in the entryway was spotless, and the bed sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases in the room were pristine, with no odd smells or stains, feeling soft and pleasant to the touch. The bathroom counters, mirrors, and tiles were sparkling clean, and the toilet was thoroughly flushed and odor-free, with no hair left in the shower drain. The meticulous cleanliness and attention to detail at this guesthouse completely dispelled any concerns I had about accommodation hygiene, making my stay both comfortable and reassuring. My best experience was the service from the butler and the owner. Their professionalism and enthusiasm added many warm memories to this trip. On the day of check-in, the manager called me in advance to inform me about the parking spot and was waiting early at the parking lot to help us with our luggage and introduce the room facilities. This thoughtfulness made me feel exceptionally warm. For me, this was a flawless accommodation experience; the environment, location, facilities, hygiene, and service were all excellent. If I visit Liuxingjie again, I will definitely choose this place again.

Our stay at Yining Yili Hotel was fantastic! The hotel, formerly a Russian consulate, boasts towering ancient trees and a tranquil lake, creating a natural oxygen bar. Strolling along the 1.3 km boardwalk, we even spotted little squirrels, which was incredibly soothing. We booked a multi-room suite in Building 6, which was spacious and comfortable – perfect for a family trip. The biggest surprise was finding a ”Gulandam” ice cream shop right in the courtyard, letting us completely avoid the long queues at Liuxing Street! The staff were warm and friendly, and check-in was very efficient. Breakfast offered not only a Chinese buffet but also Kazakh specialty dishes. The hotel's location is superb, just a 10-minute walk to the Kazanqi Folk Tourism Area, and parking for self-drivers is also very convenient. Highly recommend!

Traveling solo, I stayed for three nights and found the place to be quite clean. It's not far from Six-Star Street, which is a convenient walk. For Kazanqi, you'll need a taxi, and Sayram Lake is about 150km away by car. The front desk staff were all very helpful and friendly. A big thanks to them for helping me send a package (I couldn't fit it all in my luggage for the flight). P.S. There's a minced meat noodles shop near the hotel that is absolutely delicious, haha~

Yining is our favorite city overall. There are fruit trees all around the road. Apple trees, cherry trees, apricot trees, and most importantly, they are all mulberry trees. You can experience the fun of eating mulberries while walking! The owner of the B&B is really warm and welcoming. The room decoration and design are also very good. The breakfast made by the aunt in the morning is also delicious. The whole small garden is very beautiful! Also remember to ask the proprietress for tips and recommendations on local restaurants!
