"This hotel is in a perfect location very near to the Taichung Train Station and just a short walk to the famous Miyahara, making sightseeing and travel incredibly easy. Having a 7-Eleven nearby was also super convenient for quick snacks and essentials. Absolutely loved the breakfast buffet options, which offered a great variety of delicious choices every morning. Another huge plus was having a bathtub in the room, which was amazing to enjoy and relax in after a whole day of traveling. While it was a bit weird that the self-service laundry machines were located right by the children's playground area, the overall experience was still good and convenient. Highly recommend staying here!"

"We Checked in late at abt 8pm. Our room was quite dusty and old. The bath tub was run down too. But after we feedback to the hotel reception, they had helped to arranged for a room change immediately and all was good after that. Thanks to the front desk folks for making our stay a pleasant one."

"Excellent location and friendly hardworking staff. But this is one of the worst hotel I have stayed in. The room has the necedsary furniture but they are run.down. The owner apparently only cares about himself. For an example I have posted a photo of curtain with holes. The bed was firm but ok. The bathroom was actually not bad. Only strange thing was that there was no toilet roll holder. There never was one as there are no holes on the wall either. Housekeeping worked hard but with the state of the room, there's only so much they can do. The breakfast was strange. If something ran out they are instructed not to refill I guess. Even the coffee machine just gives you a slightly coloured water. Someone complained about bed bugs in some review, but we had no such problem. With an excellent location, I regret to say that the hotel is in a pathetic state. As the owner only likes to count money. So sad."

"This hotel is close to Feng Chia Night Market and offers convenient parking. The rooms are new, clean, and modernly designed, with a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom. The breakfast selection is extensive, and they even offer a late-night snack service, which is a nice touch."

"The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was definitely convenient, making it easy to get around. However, the room could have been cleaner and the overall cleanliness was below my expectations. If you’re staying here, I would suggest not expecting too much in terms of room condition and cleanliness. That said, the friendly staff and convenient location are the main positives."

"Before the ***** New Year, we took a trip to Taichung and stayed at a hotel near Feng Chia Night Market. The location is excellent, right at the entrance of the night market and opposite the university's main gate. Everything else was fine, but they charged an extra NT$180 for our 8-year-old for breakfast. We went down at 10:10 AM and there was almost nothing left, so our child ended up just having half a bowl of braised pork rice. That was really expensive! There's a whole row of breakfast places downstairs, so if you're staying here, definitely don't include breakfast. It's not worth it at all; you're better off trying local breakfast spots or the student-favorite queues. Another point is the lack of parking. They sent us to a contracted parking lot two blocks away, and we still had to pay an additional NT$160 per car. That's really inconvenient and not cost-effective. Other than these issues, everything else was okay. The lobby is on the 12th floor, check-out requires going up, and breakfast is also on the 12th floor, while the rooms are below the 12th floor. This arrangement was fine, I guess."

"I had such a great stay at Taichung Oku Hotel! The place has a super stylish design—everything feels modern and chic, which made the whole vibe really enjoyable. My room was spacious and comfy, way bigger than I expected, so it was perfect for relaxing after a day out in Taichung. The guest service team was fantastic too—friendly, helpful, and always ready to make things easier. They really added to the experience and made me feel welcome. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d definitely come back again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a hotel that combines great style, comfort, and service!"

"The facilities had everything one would expect, including disposable slippers. They offer luggage storage, and the room was very clean – no cockroaches or other bugs. Luggage storage is available, and the location is excellent, near Taichung Railway Station, and close to famous goose and Taichung meatball restaurants. Laundry costs 40 NTD, and you can buy detergent on site. One drawback is that the air conditioning in the room didn't dehumidify, making the entire room very damp; my passport even felt a bit damp from the humidity."

"The room overall was very comfortable, especially the bathroom, which I personally loved and found very clean. There are also many great food options near the hotel, especially the lamb rice! My absolute favorite. During this trip, we unfortunately encountered Typhoon Bawi and had to stay an extra night in Taichung. But the front desk staff were super nice! They even told us where to find good food nearby and let us use their phone to call the airline. If I come back to Taichung, I will definitely stay here again."

"The location is fantastic, just across from Taichung Station, about a 5-minute walk. Check-in was supposed to be after 3 PM, but we arrived before 2 PM and the front desk checked us in immediately, which was a big plus. We were given a quiet room on a high floor as requested. The room wasn't large, but the bed was incredibly comfortable, and my child and I slept very well. Nowadays, hotels in Taiwan promote environmental protection, so they don't provide things like toothbrushes and towels, and there's no bottled water, which is a bit inconvenient but still acceptable. A few minor flaws: 1. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly; there was a lot of hair on the faucet. I saw it as soon as I entered and asked the cleaning lady at the door to come and remove it. 2. The pillows were too low. When we came back at night and wanted to add more pillows, we were told that housekeeping was closed and it seemed like there would be an extra charge. 3. The disposable slippers were of extremely poor quality; they tore after only a few minutes. This is very inconsistent with the price and high rating of the hotel; it would be great if this could be improved. 4. There are free drinks, snacks, and coffee in the public area on the first floor, but the staff usually don't proactively mention it. We only sat down for a few minutes to have a drink before leaving. This is actually a plus, but of course, if cost is a consideration, not proactively mentioning it is acceptable."
