Hotels with Breakfast in Taichung

This time I brought my wife to Taichung for her birthday, and we stayed at the Norway Forest Cultural Center for the first night. We arrived early to drop off our luggage and immediately experienced the friendly and polite service, which made me feel happy and warm. Although there was a minor issue with the air conditioning in our room when we checked in that evening, the front desk manager came up and helped us switch to a larger and more comfortable room. Their service attitude was also super nice. It's no wonder this hotel has reviews above 9 – it's absolutely deserved. If I have the chance to come again, it will definitely be my first choice! 🥰

I wrote in my initial booking that this was an Anniversary trip, I was quite surprised that the hotel did not do nor acknowledge such things and that quite bothered me. First impressions do lasts and I also had an incident in their restaurant that serves buffet, where there was a insect (almost cockroach like) in the soup which was honestly very shocking for a 5 star restaurant but the recovery of how they handled was not great and no follow up was done. Overall, I wasn’t as happy staying here as I thought I would. But I won’t definitely be coming back.

Upon check-in, when asked the reason for our stay, I casually mentioned we were celebrating our 100th day together. They genuinely took note and arranged related services. The sense of privacy and exclusive hospitality was exceptional, truly living up to the reputation of Japan's top Hoshino Resorts group. I particularly loved the design of the entire garden and the relaxation pavilions by the pool, as well as the hot springs. Whether it was the expansive window views from the room, the scenery from the private onsen, the women's public bath, or the dining area, every single spot, with its flowers, plants, and water birds, was meticulously designed. Both dinner and breakfast were also thoughtfully prepared and presented using local ingredients. Our 2-day, 1-night stay left us feeling incredibly touched and joyful, both physically and mentally. It felt like we were taken care of in every possible way. Every moment was filled with deep appreciation. I highly recommend staying here.

great service from front desk! not so nice breakfast and there’s no hotel lobby. Nice spacious room and bathroom! will book again but i hope they improve the fitness gym or breakfast selections

The room furnishings felt premium and the size was decent, but the cleanliness wasn't up to par; there were black specks in the bathtub. Breakfast had very limited options and the taste was just average.

Overall was okay as a stay for hotel, maybe for gym equipment, lacking weights and more variety of equipment to use. Hotel beds and everything else is more or less comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast is average overall, not fantastic but still good to eat if you don’t plan to travel out in the morning for food. Convenient to travel from hotel to other destinations.

Stylish design hotel in Taichung's old town. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and amazing staff. 10-min walk from train station. Close to Miyahara and Second Market. Rooms are small and soundproofing is just okay, but great value for money. Free afternoon snacks! Perfect for solo or couple travelers or family too . ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The hotel offers good value for money, but the breakfast selection was just so-so. On our second day, we visited the Second Market, recommended by locals, which was only about a 5-minute walk away. You *must* try the Shan He Braised Pork Rice, beef pan-fried buns, and Lao Lai Black Tea! We had a great time walking around and eating, and our brunch was easily sorted. As for the room, the bed is right in front of you as soon as you open the door. However, the toilet and shower areas are separated (wet and dry), and there's enough space to open a large suitcase. P.S. There are no convenience stores right near the hotel; you'll have to walk a bit to find one.

Our family always makes it a habit to find a hotel near Fengjia Night Market when we visit, and we've been doing it for years. This was our first time staying at this particular hotel, and we booked a quad room. The room was incredibly spacious, and parking was convenient. Since we checked in on a Saturday, we could have reserved the shuttle bus to Fengjia for 30 NTD per person. However, we decided to challenge ourselves to walk there and back. It was a bit of a trek, about 10-15 minutes one way, which was a little far but not unbearable. The breakfast was a buffet, and I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and vegetable juice machine – that was super fun! Overall, I'd definitely consider staying here again. The only downside was... by the time we wanted a late-night snack, we were already too full from the night market food, so we just went downstairs for a bubble tea and headed back to the room!

Right outside a bus stop which we took number 19 to visit Western Palace. Plus we transferred to 9018 all the way to Lukang old town from the Museum of Dinosaurs and Botanical garden. All a walking distance to 7-11 and nearby has restaurants. Room is alright for us. Bathroom is clean. There is a laundry room at 5th floor, both wash and dry are 50 dollars each. We are very pleased with this location and hotel quietness. Nice n comfy.
