Chance Hotel

The moment you step into the hotel, you're greeted by a refreshing and pleasant scent. Although the room isn't huge, it's very clean and offers an open view, directly facing Taichung Train Station. It's also just a few minutes' walk to Miyahara. Do note that you'll need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and small towel, as ********* hotels no longer provide them; only large bath towels and disposable slippers are offered.

My stay here was absolutely terrible, I strongly advise against booking this hotel! First off, the hygiene was appalling. There was a pervasive, foul odor throughout the hallways and in my room, making it incredibly uncomfortable to be there. Even worse, I was bitten by an unknown insect during my stay, leaving me with large blisters that still bother me – it severely impacted my rest and mood. Secondly, the charges were completely unreasonable. When we went to pick up our stored luggage at night, they charged us an extra 200 NTD simply because we were a little over ten minutes late! That's just unacceptable. In summary, whether it's the cleanliness, safety, or service charges, this hotel falls far below standard. I hope everyone avoids this place and doesn't make the same mistake I did!

The location is great, very close to Taichung Station, and the service was decent. The only downside was the small room, with no space for luggage, and the bathroom was also cramped, with the sink and toilet too close together.
