"The Yihai Garden Hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to May Fourth Square, making it super convenient for getting around and sightseeing. The city view room with its floor-to-ceiling windows offers fantastic views. The king-size bed is spacious and comfortable, and the room itself is clean with complete facilities. The staff provides attentive service, making our family trip very comfortable. Highly recommended!"

Any requests we had were handled immediately, making us feel right at home. Fresh fruit was delivered to our room daily – the attention to detail was impeccable. Overall, our stay was wonderful. "We arrived at the hotel early on Saturday morning, and it truly lives up to its reputation as an established five-star hotel – very impressive. The front desk offered to expedite cleaning so we could check in quickly, though we were planning to head out anyway and just wanted to drop off our luggage first. To our surprise, when we returned in the afternoon, we were upgraded to a suite! It was a huge and very welcome surprise, and we're so grateful 🙏. We had too much food at lunch and couldn't finish it all, but in the evening, customer service helped us heat it up and brought it to our room! The experience was really great. Even though the decor is a bit old, it's still fully equipped. We'll definitely stay here again next time."

"I was so satisfied that I extended my stay by two days. The room was clean, the bedding comfortable, and there was even a clothesline in the bathroom with a pleasant showerhead. All the front desk staff I interacted with were friendly, efficient, and always willing to help, which is commendable. It's very convenient for dining and shopping; turn right out of the hotel and in less than two minutes you're on a pedestrian street, with shopping malls and night markets all nearby. The excellent experience at the hotel prompted me to give a definite 5-star review. + I bought a great value two-person set meal at the nearby Green Tea restaurant, which was delicious and worthwhile."

"It's rare to choose a historic building in the city center for accommodation. For this urban renewal study, I specifically chose this hotel, which is over 120 years old, and I highly recommend it. First, the pros: 1) The hotel's location is excellent. Since I wasn't driving, I opted to stay in the old town. This hotel is near Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, opposite the Chocolate Museum, and leads directly to Qingdao's iconic landmark, Zhanqiao Pier. There are many exquisite old German buildings just by wandering around. It's also very close to the subway and Qingdao Station, making transportation quite convenient. 2) The European courtyard-style hotel design is truly beautiful, and the renovation of the old building was very successful. It's great for photos and perfect for sitting quietly in the courtyard with a coffee or tea in the morning or evening. It's very relaxing and pleasant. I recommend setting aside some time to simply unwind here. 3) The bed and pillows in the room were decent, offering a good night's sleep. The bathroom was equipped with a smart toilet, though it was a bit noisy at night. A special mention goes to the room's night light design; it illuminates just enough when you step down, not too bright, just right. 4) The service was better than I expected for a northern city. The front desk staff and the cleaning aunties were all very friendly. Since there was no refrigerator, I had to ask the front desk to store and retrieve items every time, which I'm very grateful for. 5) The hotel having a laundry room was a huge plus. One time, I forgot my clothes in the dryer, and a staff member kindly collected, folded, and placed them in my room. 6) There's also a retro Old Shanghai-style cafe & bar, the Furunli Cafe. If the cafe and the outdoor tables and chairs in the hotel courtyard were combined, it would create an even better atmosphere and a larger, more relaxing leisure space. Now, for some cons or suggestions: 1) The shower room doesn't have an anti-slip mat, which could easily lead to accidents, and the floor's anti-slip treatment isn't very good. 2) The breakfast was acceptable, but there was only one chef preparing meals and also responsible for cleaning tables. During busy times, this could be overwhelming. It's unsanitary for the same person to handle food and wipe tables; it would be better to separate these tasks. The auntie who cleans the outdoor areas could definitely spare some time during breakfast to help with cleaning. 3) There were quite a few mosquitoes. The hotel provided mosquito swatters, and some rooms even had electronic mosquito repellents outside. There are actually more tools and methods available to eliminate or reduce them. 4) The tables and chairs in the second-floor corridor and the courtyard are well-arranged and create a good ambiance. I noticed ashtrays on all the tables. In this era of health and environmental awareness, it would be best to limit smoking areas to provide a clean space for non-smokers. For instance, half of the tables could have signs prohibiting smoking instead of ashtrays, though I understand this might be a somewhat demanding request. 5) Other aspects, like steps leading to the rooms, are inconvenient for guests with luggage. However, I feel that if one chooses to stay in a historic building like this, these difficulties are manageable."

The coastline is directly across the street, perfect for a seaside stroll. **Amenities & Facilities:** The hotel is newly opened, and the facilities are meticulously maintained. It's surrounded by Qingdao's CBD office buildings, attracting many business travelers. The room's overall decor is a luxurious and grand European modern style, making it currently the most upscale hotel in Qingdao. **Cleanliness:** Both the hotel's public areas and guest rooms are very well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. The air carries the distinctive, pleasant fragrance unique to St. Regis hotels. **Dining:** The breakfast selection is exquisite and diverse, featuring many Qingdao specialties like freshly made pan-fried dumplings (guotie), steamed buns, fresh mackerel dumplings, and sea cucumber noodles. The dishes are very refined, making breakfast a memorable experience. It's the best breakfast offering among St. Regis hotels in China, even surpassing the flagship St. Regis Qianhai. The Qingdao F&B department has truly put in the effort here. **Room:** The overall design and the sea view from the window make you want to linger. The unique artwork on the room's mugs is beautiful, and the heated towel rack in the bathroom is a distinctive and thoughtful touch, making for a truly impressive experience. **Service:** The staff are warm and courteous, making you feel right at home. The hotel even added me on WeChat to help arrange a latex pillow. Special mention goes to our dedicated butler, Beryl, who called in advance to welcome us and then helped arrange a bubble bath and hot drinks after check-in – truly thoughtful and attentive service. **Summary:** Located in Qingdao's city center with convenient transportation, proactive service, excellent food, and unique design, this hotel deserves its top spot in Qingdao. It's the top choice for anyone visiting Qingdao who desires a luxury hotel stay."

"This is a real review from an old member of Huazhu, and a pleasant stay. The courtyard room on the first floor is comfortable. There are sun umbrellas, there is a gym in Hanting, and the laundry room is complete. The main reason is that it is the Shuangshan Station of Metro Line 3, and it can be directly reached to Qingdao Beach. Especially convenient, the room is still fully intelligent customer control, you can control air conditioning, lighting, and the room has no taste. Hanting 4.0 This version is very recommended. There are also handmade wontons for breakfast, noodles, I really recommend everyone, travel must choose"
