Cheap Hotels in Dalian

"The location is incredibly convenient. Metro Line 2 takes you directly from the airport to the hotel, and once you exit from Gate C, you just turn a corner and you'll spot the large sign for Building 9. However, check-in isn't in Building 9 itself; it's in a separate orange-fronted room right next door. If you're not paying attention, you might miss it. It's completely within a residential complex, with both owner-occupiers and transient guests, and I imagine there might be long-term residents too. The ground floor on both sides is lined with all sorts of small shops, making the area incredibly lively and convenient for dining. It's about a 40-minute to an hour's walk to the International Yacht Marina. We stayed during the Davos conference from June 23rd-25th, 2026, and it didn't inconvenience us much; in fact, we even got to enjoy free metro rides all day on June 24th. The actual room size and the scenery depicted in the promotional photos were quite different; let's just say the photography was excellent. Overall, the cleanliness wasn't great. There were several bloodstains on the sheets, which we requested to be changed on the second day when the room was cleaned. The bathroom was quite small, and various towels looked unclean and very old. The shower gel and shampoo came in small bottles. Anyone particular about their bathing experience might find it inconvenient. The refrigerator was never plugged in, and when opened, it had a very unpleasant smell and was also dirty, causing food to take on strange odors. The range hood was also greasy. The hangers in the wardrobe were those flimsy wire ones, fine for summer clothes but not at all suitable for heavier coats in other seasons. The staff were pretty good. When booking, I made some common requests: a high floor, smoke-free room, away from the elevator, and a sofa in the warm, bright colors shown in the promotional pictures. The front desk staff arranged this in advance. During our stay, I messaged the 'little housekeeper' daily on WeChat to request room cleaning, and each time they said they would come in the afternoon. Since we went out in the morning and returned in the afternoon, we asked them to clean in the morning, which they always accommodated. Overall, the staff's service was OK, but since it's a homestay that opened in 2021, the facilities, equipment, and cleanliness/maintenance haven't kept up, so it really can't be judged by hotel standards. Oh, and the water heater worked great; hot water came out quickly with stable pressure, making showers very comfortable. Overall, feedback from friends visiting from out of town was positive, and the value for money was there. Even during Davos and the summer peak season, prices weren't inflated, which was very considerate and well-managed. There are pros and cons, and this is a completely objective review. I hope for improvements and might consider staying again in the future."

"I stayed in a Deluxe Club twin room. Check-in was on the 25th floor, which was quiet, fast, and convenient. The room was quite spacious, and although the beds weren't huge, they were incredibly comfortable—just the right firmness, and I particularly liked the firm pillows. While the facilities are a bit dated, it was perfectly acceptable. Breakfast was very rich and varied. I also had both a buffet lunch and a buffet dinner, both of which were delicious and, more importantly, very affordable. The cleanliness could have been better, though; there was noticeable dust on the phone, TV remote, and some of the furniture. Despite that, overall, I was very satisfied."

"This place deserves a full five-star review! The host was incredibly kind and proactively upgraded our room for free when they saw we had a child. They even thoughtfully prepared kids' slippers, showing care in every detail. The room was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, equipped with a washing machine, kitchen, and bathroom. The huge screen offered a great viewing experience, which my child absolutely loved. The location is truly unbeatable, right in the heart of the city center. You can step out and find dining and shopping options immediately. It's also very close to the beach and the train station, making transportation completely hassle-free. The value for money is outstanding, and I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!"

"The guest rooms at Xita Hotel have a rather heavy design style, and the renovation quality is quite poor. However, the overall service is excellent. After checking in, my child suddenly wanted some fruit. I casually asked a staff member, and even though the hotel doesn't usually provide complimentary fruit, two lovely staff members brought three fruits (a banana, an orange, and an apple) for my child. While not particularly fancy, it truly warmed my heart. I believe these fruits were probably their personal snacks. They even brought a rocking horse for my child to play with. One of the staff members was named Liu Lili – I apologize for forgetting the other lady's name. I'm incredibly grateful for their kindness and enthusiasm! Given the room rate is around a thousand yuan, I'd suggest the hotel should definitely offer complimentary fruit and small snacks. The cost is negligible, but it would make guests feel even more appreciated, otherwise, you might lose business to other hotels! Also, the hotel breakfast was very ordinary, which was disappointing."

"Five-star review! While this hotel doesn't boast five-star facilities, its service far surpasses many newly renovated hotels, offering a truly heartwarming experience. Service: The steps at the entrance were quite high, and the staff, seeing us with luggage, immediately came over to help carry it up. It was incredibly thoughtful. The room hygiene was meticulously maintained, with every corner spotless. Special mention goes to the older staff members at the front desk; they are steady, thorough, and their service is attentive and sincere. Room: The room was spacious and open, with plenty of power outlets, making it super convenient to charge phones and power banks at any time. Cleanliness: Excellent and thorough. I had read reviews mentioning only paper cups and was a bit hesitant, but upon arrival, I saw that in addition to regular reusable cups, they also provided paper cups! Facilities: Not brand new, but very comfortable. The only minor issue was some water accumulation in the bathroom after a long shower, but it was manageable. Overall, it offers great value for money. It's my top choice for accommodation when traveling, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dalian! Outside the hotel, there are countless snack stalls, breakfast spots, and supermarkets, and the old-fashioned tram makes getting around incredibly convenient."

"Having experienced various hotels in Dalian across different price ranges, I can confidently say that the New World Hotel's service is by far the best. Dalian generally enjoys a pleasant and comfortable climate, though the only downside at the moment is the city's high accommodation prices. Upon arrival, a bellhop promptly came forward to assist with my luggage, and the front desk staff were warm, attentive, and efficient. I had to contact the duty manager during my stay with a query, and they handled it with exceptional patience, thoroughness, and a truly sincere attitude. Considering all my experiences, this hotel is undoubtedly five-star – you can't go wrong choosing to stay here when visiting Dalian."

"My stay was pretty good this time. The front desk staff were very kind and check-in was super fast. The room was clean with no strange smells, and the bedding was so comfortable I slept like a baby. The bathroom had plenty of hot water, consistently warm without any temperature fluctuations. The location downstairs is very convenient for getting around, and there are lots of places to eat and shop nearby. The cleaning staff were also diligent. Excellent value for money!"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish and we have no regrets about cancelling our other booking to come here! The hotel is newly opened (under the Huazhu group) and located right next to Hanting, so everything feels fresh and modern. The facilities are brand new, and the room matched the description perfectly. The staff were professional, friendly, and welcoming, and the welcome fruits were such a lovely touch. "We chose the Banshan Oceanfront Residence because we needed a larger bed. The customer service was very responsive and answered all our questions. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding and sofa were very comfortable. The toiletries were disposable, but of high quality. The surrounding environment was also very nice, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The room also had a refrigerator and washing machine, making it suitable for families. It would have been even better if the washing machine had a dryer function, or if clothes could be dried outdoors in the sun."

As a foreign visitor, she helped me sign for a package delivered to the hotel in advance and meticulously arranged all my requests before arrival. Her communication and service were incredibly thoughtful, making me feel completely at ease even before I got to the hotel. When I mentioned during check-in that this trip was for a birthday celebration, I was so surprised to find that she had thoughtfully decorated my room! Opening the door was a truly delightful and touching moment. This level of care made my birthday trip even more memorable. It really felt like the hotel wasn't just going through the motions, but genuinely put themselves in the guest's shoes to provide warm and considerate service. The hotel's location is also excellent, directly connected to Galleria Mall, making dining, shopping, and grocery runs incredibly convenient. You can easily get around regardless of the weather. For first-time visitors to Dalian, this location is highly recommended. The hotel itself is an apartment-style hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with full amenities. The washing machine, refrigerator, and other appliances are very practical, making it perfect for stays of several days or even longer. The overall environment is quiet, and the hygiene is excellent, ensuring a very comfortable stay. This trip was with my mother, who has some difficulty with her legs. The hotel staff provided a lot of help and care from check-in to check-out, which made our entire journey much easier. This kind of service truly feels very warm. Finally, I want to thank Flora Sun again for her consistent patience, meticulousness, and genuine help. Her professionalism and enthusiasm made this stay even more perfect. If I ever have the chance to visit Dalian again, I will definitely choose to stay here, and I will certainly recommend it to my friends and family.
