Beach Hotels in Dalian

I booked late, so I could only get a Quiet Room. The room was very clean, and the bedding was excellent. The front desk service was also good. This hotel has been open for many years. There are private rooms upstairs and a buffet downstairs. It's very close to the beach, and the Tongniu Mountain Scenic Area is right next to it. Overall, it was a great experience.

I just got back from an amazing stay at Amano Hotel in Dalian, and I can’t recommend it enough! Being so close to Xinghai Beach was a game-changer—I loved starting my mornings with a stroll on the sand. The hotel itself felt really welcoming, with cozy rooms that made me feel right at home. The staff were really friendly, always ready to chat or offer tips on what to see in the area. There's usually sojourners who can speak English to help international tourists. It was the perfect way to fuel up for a day of exploring. I’m already planning my next visit!

The B&B manager was very attentive, calling me before my arrival to confirm my check-in time and whether I needed a travel photoshoot service. After checking in, they sent daily WeChat messages about breakfast times and if I needed housekeeping for an extended stay. If you're driving, there's convenient parking available, and you can pay for parking once per day. I booked the terrace sea-view loft room. The modern minimalist decor was very comfortable, and I could see Fisherman's Wharf directly from the terrace. The B&B also has a viewing platform on the third-floor terrace, offering a superb environment. If the weather is good, it's perfect for photos. The B&B offers a complimentary travel photoshoot service, including 5 free retouched photos. Both the photographer and the retoucher are highly skilled – I highly recommend it! I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Dalian.

The hotel's exterior is magnificent, like a castle. I booked a sea view room, and the ocean view from the window was beautiful. Even though it's by the sea, the room was surprisingly dry; my swimsuit dried completely within a day. I was a bit anxious after reading reviews about long queues for breakfast, but when I got there, I found that before 8 AM, there's usually no queue. Plus, staff members directly seat you and place a reserved sign, which is a nice touch. In some hotels, even if there's no queue when it's busy, not finding a seat and having to wander around with your plate is even more awkward. Now for the good parts, there are two downsides I hope the hotel can improve. First, the hotel's Chinese restaurant is really expensive, and there's a service charge, but the taste and service were truly underwhelming. I had originally planned to just eat at the hotel every day, but after one meal, I realized it didn't even meet expectations for taste or value for money – it failed on all three counts. Secondly, for a hotel at this price point, charging for a can of Coke and a bottle of juice in the mini-fridge seems unnecessary. Many five-star hotels even offer a full selection of expensive drinks for free, along with complimentary fruit and snacks, but here they charge extra, which comes across as a bit petty.

A beautiful apartment with a view of the fishing port. The terrace, sunny all day, is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and relaxing. The apartment is very stylish, a blend of industrial and romantic elements. Everything is very well-equipped, and the location is peaceful. The service is excellent, with a very professional approach to our requests. The resident dog is a real bonus. Very friendly, he's the hotel's mascot. The included breakfast was delicious and prepared entirely to order. The surrounding area is fantastic, with the opportunity to enjoy a variety of fresh seafood and fish right at the port, barbecue-style. An excellent restaurant completes the experience, just two minutes from the hotel.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel, which exceeded my expectations and is highly recommended. The hotel enjoys a great location with convenient transportation. There are supermarket and restaurants nearby, making it ideal for both sightseeing and business trips. Check‑in was fast and efficient. The front‑desk staff Eric were warm, polite and patient, ready to answer all my questions with thoughtful service. The room was spotlessly clean and well‑tidied. The bedding was soft and comfortable for a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was fully equipped with steady hot‑water supply. Good sound insulation ensured a quiet night for rest. Dalian is beautiful.I felt relaxed and comfortable throughout my stay without any unpleasant issues. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to this city！

Honestly, the rooms themselves were really great. Both rooms had windows directly facing the sea, and each was beautifully decorated. The living room even had a ball pit and a climbing/jumping area for kids, which our child loved. There was also a circular nook where you could sit and watch projections. However, one of the rooms started to smell really bad in the early hours of the morning, like a foul odor. Opening the window didn't help at all. Regrettably, the whole guesthouse had a dilapidated feel to it. Right from the moment we got out of the car, we noticed the exterior was a bit grubby, and the front desk/lobby felt rather cheap. When we went to check out the beach from the lobby, we found the stairs and terrace looked like they hadn't been maintained in years. The terrace was very basic, with many cigarette butts overflowing in the ashtrays and not cleaned. The spiral staircase I'd seen in photos online for Instagram was also broken and dirty. The beach itself was rocky, a bit smelly, and had some trash. There was also a layer of scum on the sea, like the kind you see when blanching ribs. There were some past campers still around, but honestly, I don't understand how anyone would have the courage to go in the water. In summary, the room design and the sea view from the windows were genuinely good, but there was almost no external amenities or upkeep. It felt neglected and unmaintained, which is a real shame.

The room size was quite generous, and the bedding and bathroom hygiene were decent. However, there were large, unsightly stains on the carpet that probably couldn't be cleaned, which was a real turn-off. The view was good, and it was close to the beach, perfect for catching the sunrise and sunset. Here's where the problems started. We checked in on Friday and were due to check out on Sunday. We left the hotel at 3 AM on Sunday to watch the sunrise and returned around 5 AM to get some rest. But then, starting at 9 AM, staff members repeatedly knocked on our door, even opening it despite the 'Do Not Disturb' sign. About ten minutes later, someone else knocked again. To top it off, we received a call on the landline that rang a few times and then hung up. We couldn't get any extra sleep and ended up feeling groggy for the rest of the day until check-out at noon. When I checked in, the front desk staff asked for my Hilton Honors number, promising a complimentary fruit platter. We never saw that fruit platter even by the time we left. It's not about the value of the fruit, but why offer it if you have no intention of delivering? On the day we checked in, a staff member even called to ask if I was satisfied with the room. I had just entered, how would I know if I was satisfied yet? Interestingly, no one bothered to ask if I was satisfied when we were leaving. Overall, the experience wasn't great, but the hotel's location and the room itself were quite good.

The room was quiet, clean, and airy, with high-quality and comfortable bedding. The window offered a sea view. Bottled water was unlimited. The shower and toilet were separate from the bedroom, though the shower's waterproofing needs improvement. The staff, especially during my morning exercise and breakfast, were clearly well-trained in cleaning. My room was upgraded by front desk staff Xiao Wang and Xiao Lan, among others, seemingly to an executive room (I had booked a 'distant view' room). Breakfast was abundant, and a person in gray, who seemed to be a manager, actively and helpfully arranged a perfect table for me.

The hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance of the zoo, Silver Beach, and Fujiazhuang. I'm so glad I stayed here during the National Day holiday peak season; otherwise, getting around would have been a huge problem, as the surrounding area is densely packed with tourists and traffic jams are severe. I originally booked a mountain view room, but the hotel reception upgraded me to a sea view room – kudos to their service! 👍 The hotel environment is also exceptional, with a huge lawn; I even saw a wedding venue the next day! 🤣 However, the hotel facilities are really a bit old. With a renovation, it would absolutely blow away the surrounding hotels.
