Hotels with Breakfast in Hat Yai

There were so many guests that there weren't enough tables in the dining area. I was staying with my two young children, so I had to carry them and our food up and down the stairs multiple times because we couldn't eat downstairs. They really should expand the space. The room was still fantastic, but the air conditioning in the room was a bit confusing to adjust. I had to set the AC to a temperature lower than the room temperature, otherwise, it would cut out. The hotel technician said they haven't been able to fix it yet. In the middle of the night, the room temperature would drop to 22 degrees, so I had to adjust the AC to 21 degrees, which was really cold. I'm sensitive to cold, and if I didn't adjust it, I'd hear the AC cutting out all night. Other than that, everything else was great, and the swimming pool was awesome.

This hotel has a good location near Makro and central Hatyai mall. The receptionist can speak English for easy communication. However, the shower water heater was faulty or power tripped, as the staff thought on switching on the power. We don't use the water heater. The Aircon is good and cooling. They have a free coffee facility for guests near the door entrance.

I checked out from the hotel some time after 8am, and upon inspection of the room, their housekeeper and front desk accused us of stealing their one of pool towels. On the first day of our stay, they had indeed provided 2 pool towels, which we had used and had been taken by their housekeeper during housekeeping. However, they only provided 1 pool towel yesterday, but we did not request any extra since only one of our members went swimming. In the end, they charged us 350 baht for stealing/losing their pool towel, even though they did not provide the complete set of 2 in the first place. Before I checked out, I also witnessed the group in front of me who were also accused of stealing their towel, which they were charged 100 baht. The group insisted that they had even brought their own towels and never used the hotel’s, but were nevertheless forced to pay the compensation fee even because we had no proof that the housekeeping did not provide the complete set in the first place. I strongly suspect that we were being scammed by the hotel staff on this, because this is a relatively decent and nicer hotel, and proper guests were staying here. There’s absolutely no reason for any of us to be stealing their towels. If I couldn’t even afford a towel, I would not be staying here at all. And if it had only been us falling victim to this, my suspicions would not have been this strong but it is too much of a coincidence for both groups to be accused of stealing their towels. On an additional note, they were not even able to provide a complete set of towels for us 4pax when we called to request, because there weren’t enough to go around (according to them). They could’ve also easily use this against us and accuse us of stealing the bath towels too, and we would not have been able to prove ourselves either. My only mistake was not requesting a receipt for the compensation fee that I had to pay, but I don’t think it would’ve made much of a difference. I have lodged an official complaint anyway via Trip to hopefully prevent future incidents. Just want to put this out here to warn others who are considering staying here in the future. Avoid if you don’t want to ruin a nice hotel experience by leaving with a sour taste in your mouth. Truly a shame that the level of service and integrity of the staffs did not live up to the standards of the hotel.

This hotel located in Songkhla is very new and fairly clean. Not much complain to be honest. However, it is very hard to book Grab or get a taxi here as it's rural area and quite a distance away from Hatyai. Lucky for us to meet a friendly Grab driver since Day 1 and has been always asking him to fetch us personally. If not, it will be so much of a trouble concerning how to travel out from this hotel to Hatyai or back to Airport.

Great price for my single night stay. The Room was clean and ready upon checking in. Pool was clean and good temperature. Conveniently located very near the airport. Perfectly located across the street from a nice restaurant for dinner and a breakfast buffet. See photo of my dinner across the street.

This hotel is super close to Hat Yai's biggest mall, and there's also a Big C behind it. The room was clean, and it was really convenient for getting around. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and the snacks and drinks they sold at the front desk were very reasonably priced.

I stayed at Subanan Resident in Hatyai and had a really good experience overall. The cleanliness is the first thing that stood out — the place is spotless, probably one of the cleanest I’ve stayed at in this price range. The service was also impressive. When I had an issue with the WiFi, I just gave them a call and the staff personally came over to hand me the code face-to-face. Check-in and check-out were both quick and smooth. Even on my first visit, the parking service was clear and well-organised, which made things easier. Location-wise, it’s not in the busy tourist area, which I actually liked. It’s surrounded by local houses, so the vibe is calmer and more relaxing. Within walking distance (about 4 minutes) there’s a Big C Mini, and a 7-Eleven about 7 minutes away. It’s a nice balance — not too far from convenience, but away from the tourist crowds and heat. As for amenities, they’re average. One of the rooms came with a Netflix account, while another didn’t, which was a bit inconsistent. Also, setting it up wasn’t the most straightforward — you need to switch between the TV remote and the Xiaomi box remote, which takes a little figuring out. Overall, if you value cleanliness, friendly service, and a calm local atmosphere over being in the middle of the tourist spots, Subanan Resident is a solid choice. Located a short distance from night market or eateries, as long as guests are aware that clocking minimum 500 steps before you find eateries. Hotel has cafe that serves food and drinks too. Ambience is pretty good. Room only has 1 bucket in washroom to throw rubbish. A little inconvenient. Room uses yellow light. Reception area has hotel souvenirs for sale too! Hotel staff are courteous and helpful in helping us locate local markets which we wanted to visit.

The Owner Saved Our Lives During the Flood My family and I were stranded in Hatyai for 7 days due to the severe flood, and staying at this hotel truly became a blessing. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the hotel owner and his team. Their kindness, dedication, and genuine care went far beyond the responsibilities of a normal hotel. The owner personally made sure every guest was safe, well-informed, and supported throughout the crisis. He arranged food daily, checked on us regularly, and ensured we were all well taken care of during a very frightening time. His calm management and quick action gave us comfort and hope when everything outside was uncertain. We will forever remember his generosity and how much he did to help us through this difficult situation. This is not just a hotel — it is a place run by people with real heart. Rest assured, you can stay at this hotel with complete confidence.Highly recommended, not only for its facilities, but for the outstanding humanity shown by the owner. We are truly grateful.

The room is clean, the air conditioner is cool, but the TV and the kettle have problems and can't be used.
