MMubamumaStaying in an apartment in Australia was amazing! We could cook our own meals, just bought some veggies and fruits from a nearby supermarket and whipped something up – way better and more cost-effective than eating out. Plus, being able to do laundry and dry our clothes was incredibly convenient! The hotel's front desk staff was super friendly and gave us great tips on things to do around the Great Barrier Reef. We could even walk to the pier for our boat trips. Highly recommend for family travel!

Ssuper fishWe stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower. First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay. On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent. In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell. Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night. However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine. Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement. In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems. I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

SShenxianshengThe hotel facilities are a bit dated, but it wins on brand and location, right next to the pier. Boarding boats, jet skis, and the Nautilus helicopter 🚁 are all within walking distance, and the night market is also very close. We checked in with three people, and the front desk said that a 15-year-old child would be charged extra for an additional bed. However, the front desk only collected the money and didn't inform housekeeping to add extra slippers and towels. The service awareness needs improvement. When the extra bed was added, the housekeeper moved the main bed in the room, revealing a dirty carpet underneath that hadn't been cleaned in a while. I have to criticize the hotel for this. Neither of these issues should be mistakes made by a Hilton brand.

GGuest User1. **Prime Location:** Situated right on the Cairns Esplanade, it's a mere 2-minute walk to the Reef Fleet Terminal (the departure point for Great Barrier Reef tours) and 3 minutes to the Esplanade Lagoon. Restaurants and night markets are plentiful nearby, and a taxi ride to the airport takes about 13 minutes. 2. **Amenities & Experience:** Most modern rooms feature private balconies with city or harbor views. The free Wi-Fi is stable, and the outdoor pool is comfortable. The Bushfire Flame Grill Brazilian BBQ has a great reputation (breakfast/dinner are extra). Paid parking is limited, and street-facing rooms occasionally experience noise. 3. **Service:** There's a 24-hour front desk with multi-lingual staff who can assist with booking Great Barrier Reef/rainforest excursions. Luggage storage is seamless. 4. **Drawbacks:** Parking can be tight during peak season, some bathrooms are a bit dated, and breakfast isn't particularly cheap.

SSarah Kay DenmanGreat pool, very clean , excellent breakfast , yummy cocktails , dinner was amazing.  Only one thing bad was the pool sun lounges, the are very uncomfortable I had to sit in a bean bag.  Just to add gluten free eating for coeliacs was great seperate toaster for breaky and freshly cooked eggs and bacon on request. Very happy !!

GGuest UserThe room itself was generally acceptable, and the balcony view was fantastic. However, the service left a lot to be desired. We found a thumb-sized blood stain on the bedsheet that hadn't been cleaned. We reported it to the front desk, and they assured us it would be handled and that a manager would contact us directly. But nothing ever came of it. We had to call housekeeping again to have someone come and change the sheets. There was never an explanation or an apology, which made it feel like this kind of thing is commonplace and not worth making a fuss over. But from a guest's perspective, this is not a minor issue; it was extremely unpleasant both psychologically and experientially. Housekeeping also consistently missed things; we had to call for everything from towels to toilet paper! This 'five-star' service was incredibly disappointing. To be fair, we are loyal Pullman customers globally, but it seems only the Pullman Cairns has these shortcomings.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed every moment. We spent a lot of time by the pool, which was amazing and perfect for relaxing. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout our visit, making us feel very welcome. As a lovely surprise, they even gave me a gift for my birthday, which made the experience even more special. Without a doubt, I would come back again!

AAnonymous UserHave to say the best thing for this hotel is its room size, Huge! And water pressure is good. But pain point is really clear, the WIFI is not working in my room (bad signal), I can only sit in lounge/bar area at the ground floor to get WiFi.

CcalifragileThe room facilities are relatively old and the lights are dim. Slippers and toothbrushes are not provided. Shower gel and shampoo are of poor quality. The room was on the first floor and there was noise. It should be the sound of the air conditioner engine or other machinery. The breakfast is simple and does not provide the delicacies of various countries. It only has bread, fruits and some drinks. A separate deposit of 50 AUD is required upon check-in, or 100 AUD in cash.
