GGuest UserThe hotel is located right next to the SBB station, making transportation within and outside Basel very convenient. There's a large supermarket right next door and in the station's basement. Unlike other European cities, the area around the station is relatively safe, so it's not dangerous. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are comfortable, and the famous breakfast restaurant is beautiful. The breakfast food is good, but the selection isn't extensive. The interior is classic, but not outdated! It's clean, stylish, and friendly. I would definitely return!

GGuest UserThis hotel is great. The staff are very nice and helpful in every way. It has all the amenities that’s required for tourists and it’s very clean.. Breakfast was good no complaints here. They even have a QRCODE for a free ride on the tram or bus. how cool is that. They even called a taxi for us to take us to the Viking tor departure. We definitely recommend this hotel. Oh by the way it’s only five minutes walk to the center Basel..GREAT PLACE.

Two issues: the staff is easily overwhelmed, make sure you have an abundance of time to check out and the restaurants in the street are extremely noisy. We were quite high in the hotel and it was impossible to get some rest before late in the night.
I understand this is not something the hotel can manage, but it is a piece of information I would have liked to have before booking.
Overall, a little pricy.

GGuest UserThis hotel is quite good in Basel across the board. There's a machine in the hallway that dispenses sparkling water and sparkling iced water. The restaurant food is excellent and portions are generous. The location is also superb; you can walk to the train station, and it's just a few stops by public transport to places like the art museum.

AAnonymous UserThe emotional attitude of the lady at the front desk was baffling. When I wanted to order a taxi during check-out in the morning, there was no one at the front desk, nor was there a bell. So I called out ”hello” a few times. The young lady came out from the adjacent room.
”Why are you yelling 'hello'... I am busy... Do you think I should be here (at the front desk) all the time with a smile?” she ranted, complete with an expressive display. What was that all about? I had planned to store my luggage at the hotel, but decided against it. I quickly grabbed my bags and left.

GGuest UserIt was hot….i mean super hot and ventilation was non existent. I also have a leg problem and was given a room with only a top bunk. I found a way to make it work. It was one night only.
Bright spot was lovely breakfast at 6am which was a nice treat.
It is difficult to find the hostel unless you know what you’re looking for.

AAgnes29Had a wonderful stay at B&B HOTEL Basel! The hotel was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the check-in process was smooth.
The location is convenient, with easy access to public transport and the city centre. The rooms were cozy and quiet, perfect for resting after a long day of travelling around Switzerland.
We especially appreciated the cleanliness and the comfortable beds. Great value for money in Basel. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Basel!
