My room had good amenities and I was lucky to get a view of Spalentor. The location is close to a tram, and is reasonably walkable to the town hall. Very good breakfast, which included plenty of local and regional foods.

Hotel staff gave a free upgrade. Best part is the location right outside the train station, and next to connecting trams. Convenience is above and beyond. Decently clean which made it a pleasant stay!

Arrived in Basel a day early to begin a Rhine River cruise. Folks at Hotel D were nice, accommodating. Good directions and some site maps provided. The hotel was centrally located and not far (walk or tram) to where the rive boat dock was. Nice lobby and though small (standard for Europe) had a nice room. Over all clean and sufficiently supplied. Easy to walk around from to see old city sites and garner food. Basel is nice town to begin this part of Europe trip. Hotel D started us off on the right foot.

Wonderful tucked away gem in the heart of Basel. Nice thoughtful touches in a a lot of areas. Bar and restaurant on the ground floor are draws in themselves rather than just add-ons to the hotel.

It’s located right next to the tram station which was super convenient to get to the main train stop. They had lovely friendly staff and we got a small treat and flavored water while we were waiting for check in. They also give you a card to travel around the city on the public transport. Breakfast was also really good!!
