Ginza/Tsukiji/Shinbashi Tokyo|0.49km from downtown
The location is absolutely unbeatable, just a 3-minute walk to the heart of Ginza, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The hotel lobby offers outstanding views, overlooking Tokyo Tower, city buildings, and the bay. There are observation sofas, perfect for a relaxing sit to enjoy the scenery. However, cleanliness was an issue during this stay. Upon checking into the room, we found a forgotten contact lens on the edge of the bed frame, and a black stain on the floor. My daughter initially mistook it for an insect and was quite startled. I hope the hotel strengthens its room cleaning and inspection procedures.

I've stayed here before with my kids, and it was pretty good, though the hallway still had a bit of an old smell, probably because the building is a bit dated. That's why I chose this hotel again when I came to Tokyo with my wife. It's also quite convenient for getting around. The only thing was that there was a concert happening later, so we had to switch hotels on the third night.

Odaiba Tokyo|5.01km from downtown
This hotel offers direct access to the Yurikamome Line's Odaiba Station from its second floor, and is within walking distance of the life-sized Gundam statue and Odaiba Marine Park. A complimentary shuttle bus to Disneyland is provided, and Haneda Airport is just a 20-minute drive away, making transportation highly convenient. All room types feature private balconies, with ocean view rooms directly facing the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Bay's night skyline. The room sizes significantly exceed those of similarly priced hotels in central Tokyo. For families with children, amenities for kids are proactively provided upon check-in, ensuring excellent comfort during your stay. The facilities are well-maintained, and both Chinese and English services are seamless. There's a complimentary gym and multiple restaurants on-site. The drawbacks include the hotel's age and the fact that the pool requires an additional fee. It's also a bit further from the central city shopping districts. Overall, this hotel is ideal for guests who prioritize exploring Odaiba, appreciate scenic views and spacious accommodations. High-floor ocean view rooms are highly recommended.

Yeah, it’s a great hotel – I’ve really enjoyed my stay here so far. The staff have been friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is very comfortable. We booked an executive floor room this time, and we were given one on the 37th floor. Breakfast can be enjoyed either on the executive floor or at the main restaurant on the 2nd floor. The room size was excellent; it wasn't cramped for two people! We could easily open two or three 28-inch suitcases. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all the toiletries were L'Occitane. The shower pressure was also great~ The complimentary bottled water in the room came in aluminum bottles. The executive lounge also offered afternoon tea 🫖, and after 5 PM, it was happy hour with unlimited alcoholic beverages 🍹👍

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi/Akihabara/Kinshicho Tokyo|1.35km from downtown
The location of this hotel is simply unbeatable, right next to Tokyo Station. You don't even need to go above ground; there's a dedicated hotel elevator in the Otemachi exit underground, which is incredibly convenient. However, if you're transferring to other subway lines, expect about an 8-minute walk for most of them. Also, a heads-up: the front desk is on the 7th floor, but there's a hotel sign on the ground floor for taxi drop-offs. Since the hotel is right by Tokyo Station, you have easy access to all sorts of food, drinks, and shopping, which is why I didn't bother with the hotel breakfast. I could sleep in every day and try different local delicacies. Even the FamilyMart convenience store had amazing food options. It's an older hotel that was renovated last year, but the facilities are complete, clean, and comfortable. What I particularly liked was the shower setup; unlike some hotels where you shower inside the tub, here they have a separate shower space next to the tub. This design makes the bathroom feel quite spacious, even if the room itself is on the smaller side. I've seen this kind of bathroom design in other Japanese hotels too, so I wonder if it's a common feature in local accommodations. The front desk staff spoke good English, and I was very satisfied with their luggage storage and early check-in services. Plus, you need your room card to operate the elevators, which adds to the security. I was out and about from morning till night, so I didn't get a chance to experience the restaurant or bar, but overall, the value for money is high. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo! It's perfect for anyone who values convenience, loves shopping, and isn't too particular about room size.

Given its prime location, you can't expect both spaciousness and a cheap price. The value for money is decent. However, the room felt stuffy and relied solely on the air conditioning, which created a stale smell, as if it had been closed up for a long time. I had to keep the AC on low. I'm unsure about the cleanliness of the duvet; my legs were incredibly itchy for the first half of the night. It only got better after I turned the AC much lower in the latter half. One of the pillows had a strong, hard-to-describe oily head smell. There was also a noticeable accumulation of dust in some corners. The service throughout was genuinely cold. Despite my fluent Japanese, there wasn't a single smile, which is quite unusual for Japan. Perhaps working in Ginza is truly exhausting. They didn't mention the complimentary beer and coffee that was advertised on Ctrip. Ms. Akiko at the front desk, this kind of service really isn't acceptable in the hospitality industry. If you feel so wronged by your job, maybe you should find a different one.

The hotel has been recently renovated, so it's very clean and quiet. They offer daily room cleaning. However, the breakfast isn't great. For 3000 yen, which is about 137 RMB, it's a rip-off. We stayed for 5 days and it was the exact same every morning. Besides some toast and salad, there were no fried eggs or pastries. There was hardly anything else edible. It would have been better not to book a room with breakfast. There's a 7-Eleven and Lawson downstairs, which offer much better value for money!

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi/Akihabara/Kinshicho Tokyo|1.32km from downtown
Had a pretty good stay at the hotel. Location is great since it’s just opposite Tokyo station. Just a small walk away from the airport limousine bus. Room size is pretty good considering we got the connecting room. Mattress on a thinner side but comfortable. Pillows are on the softer side. They do provide two pillows (1 soft 1 firm). We did all have a good night rest every night. Service is lukewarm. All staff are generally friendly except for one staff whose name starts with C. She helped us with the luggages that need to be deposited after we checked out. As much as we appreciate her help, it just doesn’t feel good when her facial expression scream “are you done” even though she smiled when we are passing additional bags for deposit. And all these happened within 1 minute. As much as we understand that the staff might be tired from a whole day work. But it still don’t feel good. This experience leave a bitter taste in the mouth when everything was good , only to end in such an unpleasant note. Other than this small episode, all else was fine. Great for families and can consider booking the connecting room if you need more space.

Very good location close to a subway station, with a nearby subway exit also having a lift, so luggage isn’t a problem. But you are better off going across the road, perhaps a 4-min walk, to the Marriott Courtyard close by where there is the airport bus stop which can take you to Haneda and Narita. Breakfast variety is limited; you can select a choice of Jap or Western Main, along with a few other buffet options. Room size is ok. Public bath’s pool is small but definitely not the smallest I have seen. Different staff to communicate with you in the usual foreign languages.

The hotel is conveniently located directly across the street from the nearest station, with a supermarket, convenience store, and Doutor coffee shop nearby. I also appreciated being able to walk to the Imperial Palace area and that the location wasn't noisy. The hotel itself is chic and stylish, with a good range of amenities, including bath salts and welcome drinks. I booked a room with breakfast, and there was a great variety of Japanese, Western, and seafood options. I was very satisfied with my stay and would like to use this hotel again.

Very convenient location. 5 mins walk to Shinagawa station. Direct Narita Express to airport and Shinkansen station. Plenty of nearby food options, like the Royal Hosts. Room size is just ok. Self service largely for check in, check out and luggage storage. Buffet breakfast can be long queue at peak hour. Huge breakfast room though.

Everyone knows how it is with Tokyo hotels – you open your suitcase and there's no room to move. But that's definitely not the case at the Shiomi Prince. We had a triple room with three beds, and it still didn't feel cramped, which is a huge plus in Tokyo. The hotel itself isn't a traditional business hotel either; it has a strong sense of design. You can see the thought put into it right from the lobby: a massive modern art mural, high ceilings, low-saturation furniture, and even Japanese parasol decorations, blending modern design with traditional elements. It doesn't feel like they just piled on luxurious materials for the sake of it, but rather it's youthful, stylish, and has a touch of an art hotel. It's easy to snap some great photos there. What truly impressed me, though, was the breakfast. The breakfast selection itself was very rich, with plenty of Japanese, Western, hot dishes, vegetables, eggs, rice, and other options. But two things, in particular, are worth mentioning. One was the limited-edition bluefin tuna sashimi. It's rare to find bluefin tuna at a hotel breakfast, and here it was prepared by a chef on the spot. Even though it's limited, this kind of offering immediately sets it apart from a typical hotel buffet breakfast. The other thing I liked even more: the DIY onsen egg and beef bowl. You lay the beef over hot rice, then add two soft, runny onsen eggs. With a poke of the chopsticks, the orange yolk flows directly into the beef and rice, and it smells incredibly fragrant when mixed. For my breakfast, I'd also have bacon, fried eggs, broccoli, and pumpkin, followed by coffee with a muffin or doughnut – a full boost of energy to start the day.

Such an amazing stay for 8 nights here with my family . Completely felt at home with the plentiful amenities which included daily hand wipes for using while out. Room was impeccably clean, superior customer service, beds were incredibly comfortable with high quality bedding, and the list goes on. Also a great location, in Shibuya, but not directly in the busy section. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family or stay here again. Honestly the BEST hotel I've stayed in Japan!!!

The hotel's location is excellent; you can see it right after exiting Odaiba Station on the Yurikamome Line. You can even wheel your luggage directly from the platform to the hotel lobby. The rooms offer fantastic views, either facing the Odaiba Rainbow Bridge or the ocean. Iconic landmarks and attractions like the Gundam statue, Statue of Liberty, and Rainbow Bridge are all within walking distance, and Fuji TV is right across the street. For dining, you have three restaurant choices. The sushi restaurant on the 30th floor offers a set menu, not a buffet, and there are no self-service soft drinks. For getting around, the Yurikamome Line is your best bet. If you head out early and return late, you'll be traveling against the peak hour traffic, and since the hotel is at the line's terminus, you'll almost always get a seat, which is a huge plus.

Room facilities: There were few real pictures of the Ctrip Deluxe Twin Room, but the actual room was quite spacious. Crucially, it had hardwood floors instead of carpet, which felt much cleaner. The hotel is very close to all the Ginza shopping malls, making for a comfortable stay. A minor drawback was the showerhead, which was very difficult to adjust and quite high; it took some getting used to, but the water pressure was excellent and the water was hot. The hairdryer was a Refa, which was super comfortable and quick to use! Location: The hotel is within a 5-19 minute walk to major Ginza shopping malls. It's a bit further from Tokyo Station, about a 12-minute walk. It's very convenient to buy things and bring them back to the hotel. Service: The hotel front desk staff were all very enthusiastic. You could get free foot patches, facial masks, and toiletry sets, as well as complimentary water, which was a huge help. We stayed for six days, and on the morning of August 6th or 7th, a Japanese staff member, Mr./Ms. Ota (I didn't catch the exact name), came to our room to deliver water. He communicated with us in English using a translator, and when we mentioned wanting to dispose of our trash immediately, he proactively took on the task of room cleaning and helped us take out the garbage. I give him a big thumbs up and hope the hotel recognizes his professionalism, dedication, and thoughtful service! I also want to express my gratitude to him here and hope the hotel sees this! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. (Japanese portion of the original review, for context and full translation): We stayed for 6 days this time. The space exudes a Japanese Zen aesthetic, with a breathtaking 30-meter high lobby and a stunning dry landscape garden. Even the standard rooms are incredibly spacious, featuring a sunken granite bathtub where you can soak while enjoying panoramic views of the Imperial Palace from above. The 30-meter sky pool and Japanese hot springs are truly a dream. The service is incredibly attentive, almost as if they can read your mind, and breakfast is exquisite and delicious. Tokyo Tower Tokyo|2.41km from downtown
The room offered a view of Tokyo Tower, which I was very pleased with! Since it was my birthday, I had mentioned it in advance, and the hotel emailed me about a surprise. Upon checking in, I found they had left a few small cookies, which was a lovely touch. However, upon entering the room, there was an old, hard-to-describe smell. This smell wasn't present near the bed. (I had read reviews upon checking in and noticed this wasn't an isolated incident.) Check-in was at 3 PM, and I arrived around 3:10 PM. There was a huge line for check-in, and I didn't get into my room until after 4 PM. This service was very poor; it's the first time I've encountered such a situation, and I hope the hotel improves. Personally, I felt the overall service attitude of the hotel wasn't particularly enthusiastic, and all the staff seemed to treat guests differently. The toilet in the bathroom was also old. It's hard to imagine this is a hotel renovated in 2018?

I chose this hotel because of its location (10-15 min walk from nearest train station) and the onsen. There is a 7-11 conveniently located right across the hotel which is perfect for a quick breakfast / supper. The hotel’s onsen operates from 6AM-10AM and 3PM-2AM. Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi/Akihabara/Kinshicho Tokyo|1.84km from downtown
[HOSHINOYA Tokyo: A Vertical Ryokan Experience] HOSHINOYA Tokyo offers a truly unique concept. It is a traditional Japanese ryokan built vertically within a modern skyscraper, located in the prestigious Otemachi district. It provides a serene, luxurious escape right in the middle of the bustling city, perfectly blending classic ryokan hospitality with world-class modern design. We enjoyed a wonderful three-day, two-night stay at the property from 29 May to 31 May. We chose not to make any meal reservations, which gave us the flexibility to simply relax and explore the surrounding city. [Getting There] We travelled from Fufu Hakone via a day trip to Enoshima and Kamakura. We took a direct train from Kamakura to Tokyo Station, followed by a short walk to the hotel, and arrived at around 8:00 PM. To make the transit completely effortless, our luggage was picked up and delivered directly to the hotel by LuggAgent on the same day. [Arrival and Check-In] The hotel is situated in the central business district and distinctly stands out from the surrounding buildings. The discreet entrance completely shields you from the busy streets. Upon entering, staff immediately store your shoes, as the entire tatami-matted building operates on a barefoot or socks-only policy. We were incredibly lucky to catch a traditional jap instrument performance, which is usually reserved for weekends. A designated staff member managed our check-in with welcome snack & tea and escorted us to level 15. A major highlight is the exclusive lounge on each floor, shared by only 6 suites. It functions as a private living room, fully stocked with complimentary seasonal teas, coffees, and traditional snacks. [The Suite] We stayed in the Sakura suite. Rather than trying to describe the beautiful layout in words, I will let my photos speak for themselves. The beds are low to the floor with a mid-level hardness that we found quite comfortable, and each bed comes with two soft pillows. There is also a television cleverly hidden behind a mirror, though it is worth noting that it only broadcasts Japanese channels. We kept it switched off to maintain the consistent traditional ryokan feel. The provided yukata is absolutely superb. It comes as a full set complete with an inner layer, an outer layer, socks, and a small handbag. The material is soft, stretchy, and incredibly comfortable for lounging and walking around the property. [The Top-Floor Onsen] Having a natural hot spring in central Tokyo is a rare luxury. The onsen is located on the 17th floor and features a stunning design where the roof is open to the sky. As cameras are strictly prohibited, you will have to visualise it or check the hotel website for gallery photos. I understand that the bath is a salty hot spring containing a high concentration of seawater and seaweed minerals trapped deep in the ground. Soaking in this soothing water gently embraces the skin and helps alleviate fatigue in both body and mind. The onsen is open daily from 3:00 PM to 11:30 AM. It was the absolute perfect way to warm up and recharge before we headed out for a busy day. [Areas for Improvement] Toothbrush Set: The provided toothbrush is far too small and takes ages to use. I strongly recommend bringing your own.

This is our second time staying here. The hotel is right next to the Ariake Garden mall, practically seamlessly connected. There are plenty of dining options upstairs and shopping is very convenient. Downstairs, there's a large Aeon supermarket, and right outside its exit, at platform 1, you can catch the bus to Haneda Airport. There's also a big Muji store nearby. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Ginza from its basement level. While the hotel is situated between two subway lines, neither is too far away, making this location excellent value for money. We booked a family room for two adults and two children, which had four beds. The bathroom and toilet were separate (wet and dry areas), and the room layout was quite good.

Relabo Hotel boasts an excellent location right next to the JR station. From the station's third floor, there's a direct walkway leading to an elevator that takes you straight to the hotel's 4th-floor front desk. It's incredibly convenient. Nearby, you'll find the Apple Factory and the Nebuta Museum, and downstairs there's a department store for shopping and dining. A highlight of the hotel is its hot springs, and they also offer some yoga activities, though we didn't participate as we don't speak Japanese. Guests can enjoy the hot springs for free, and female guests are personally escorted into the bathing area by staff, which feels very safe. After a soak, you can grab an ice cream or head to the observation deck to enjoy the view with some crackers and apple juice – a truly leisurely holiday experience.
