The location is quite good, about 600 meters from Exit B of Jianguomen Subway Station. However, be aware that this exit doesn't have an escalator or elevator going down, so if you have large luggage, you might want to avoid it. The hotel service is very professional and thoughtful. Of course, it's rare for five-star hotels these days to help guests with their luggage. The Chang Fu Gong still offers turn-down service, which is a nice touch. The hotel has a small garden. Although not large, it's well-designed, and you can take a stroll there, or enjoy the view from a window seat during breakfast. The breakfast selection is quite comprehensive and the food is good, but it would be even better if there were some daily variations. I stayed for three consecutive days, and the menu was pretty much the same. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, but they are very well-maintained and convenient to use. The toilets have been upgraded with washlets, which is a plus. The hygiene is excellent.

Facilities: It's an old hotel, definitely a bit dated, but very grand. Cleanliness: The cleaning was meticulous, but the towels were also quite old, and the dried bedding had a faint smell of wool. Environment: The public areas are spacious and great for taking photos. Service: The staff were quite enthusiastic, maintaining the standard of a well-established five-star hotel. Location: The location is excellent; you can walk to Tiananmen Square. It's also very convenient to take Line 8 to the Bird's Nest for a Mayday concert. You don't need to worry about safety in the surrounding area, even if you return late. Different rooms offer views of either the Forbidden City or the Temple of Heaven.

This is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of Beijing, featuring stunning European-style architecture. The hotel seamlessly blends elegant European design with a high-end, opulent atmosphere, making you feel as if you've been transported to Europe. Many of the staff members are bilingual in Chinese and English, which is incredibly helpful and convenient for foreign visitors. The hotel's location is superb, offering excellent access to transportation, shopping, and major attractions. Overall, the stay was exceptional; everything from the ambiance to the service was impressive. It's a highly recommended hotel that I would gladly choose to stay at again.

This was my first stay at the Grand Millennium Beijing, and it exceeded my expectations by far. It wasn't overly crowded, so it felt very peaceful and quiet. The swimming pool is a major highlight, integrated seamlessly with the gym on a different floor, creating a spacious, high-ceilinged area with a Southeast Asian vibe. I encountered many Hong Kongers there, from business travelers in the elevator to an elderly couple in the executive lounge; they were all very humble and friendly. The surrounding area boasts a wide variety of restaurants, and the Fortune Plaza Mall is practically a canteen for Beijing's white-collar workers. The night view is also top-notch, with the CCTV Headquarters lit up beautifully. A pleasant surprise was bumping into a celebrity while working out – the 'rooster among roosters,' haha. The Grand Millennium is fantastic, giving me every reason to return. The male manager who handled my check-in was very gracious, and the service was just perfect.

The location of this hotel is absolutely superb. Its integrated with China World Mall making it easy to get food and also the metro. Their service is definitely tip top. Front desks speaks english and are very helpful. The room is cleaned everyday we are there. And whenever we needed more water they will take less than 10mins for it to be delivered to our room. For my husband’s birthday we were gifted a cake and beverages to celebrate. Really love this hotel and highly recommended. This hotel made my 1st trip to Beijing such a memorable and well rested one. Tian'Anmen Square and Wangfujing Area Beijing|0.86km from downtown
One of the best things about this hotel is the location. The subway station is just a few steps from the lobby. Since it’s on Line 2, we could easily reach most major sightseeing spots in Beijing without any hassle. The hotel staff is well trained, very polite, and most importantly, helpful, especially the front desk staff, 嘉鑫, who helped us solve many problems with professionalism and efficiency. Big shout-out to her! The luggage storage service is also very convenient. We used it after check-out so we could still explore around Beijing before heading to the airport. The process was smooth and hassle-free. However, there is one area that could be improved to make the hotel even better: dining. Every day when we went to the dining hall for lunch around 11 a.m., we were told to wait in line for at least an hour. Because of this, we ended up relying on ******* delivery for most of our lunches. The delivery locker system was very helpful, since the restaurant clearly has limited capacity and cannot accommodate all hotel guests during peak time. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay with great facilities and service. Totally worth the price.

Why did I come to Beijing? Because I managed to snag a ticket to Mayday's concert on the evening of May 16th. Originally, I was thinking of doing a whirlwind trip, arriving Saturday morning and leaving Sunday night. But since I was already here, shouldn't I visit places like the National Museum and the Forbidden City? So, I ended up booking for three nights. Although the hotel is a bit old, the overall cleanliness was good, and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel's location is pretty central, making it super convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of food options nearby. There's a 7-Eleven right across the street, and a Starbucks and McDonald's just a short walk away. My overall stay was really pleasant. The room even had an air purifier. The only downside was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy. I booked a room in the annex, and coming out of the elevator, I noticed the carpet colors were different on each side, which made me wonder if the other side was the main building. All in all, it offered great value for money.

I was extremely disappointed in this hotel due to my room smelling like smoke / cigarettes, poor sound proofing, and the front desk staff soliciting good reviews and asking me not to leave a negative review during checkout. I picked this hotel based on the good reviews and the fact that they are trying to stifle bad reviews makes one completely lose faith in the review system. Details below: I booked the jiangnan room (room 8531) and when I first got into the room it smelled like smoke and cigarettes. I requested for them to clean it and was surprised when they were done cleaning an hour later… which tells me that they most likely don’t have a proper procedure to clean after smoke (they just sprayed perfume it seems). I requested they do a more thorough clean of my room and they sent me to a new room, which also smelled like cigarettes and smoke. This was troubling because the second room was the themed room and was supposed to be for little kids. After one night, I returned back to my original room.. and unfortunately it still smelled like cigarettes and did so for the 5 nights that I stayed there. I realized that ventilation is most likely shared across rooms because every day, my room smelled like cigarettes. So if someone smokes in their room, it affects the rooms around them. Another thing was that sound proofing is not good as you can hear if someone else is showering or flushing their toilet. The second night there, I heard the water run for hours and I finally went to the lobby to get earplugs because I could not sleep. Lastly, during checkout, I was highly discouraged from leaving a negative review. They asked several times to rate them highly and if I could not do so, to not leave a review. They asked to see my order from trip.com and when I asked why, they said they were going to take the survey… it seemed like they were going to give themselves a good review on my behalf. They then offered a small discount so that I would not leave a negative review, which I didn’t consent to. They told me that bad reviews would cause trouble for the front desk…. Shame on the owners because these issues are not going to be solved without major renovations and are not due to the staff. The front desk staff and cleaning staff for the most part, were lovely and doing their jobs. But they cannot do anything if the structure of the hotel itself is fundamentally flawed. I would absolutely not stay in this hotel again.

This is my second trip to Beijing this year, and I chose to stay at the Livefor hotel in Chongwenmen again with my son. I guess that makes me a repeat customer, right? 😁 Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Chongwenmen subway station, making getting around incredibly easy. There are malls right downstairs and across the street, so with a child, I don't have to venture far. Cleanliness is my top priority when choosing a hotel, which is why I've picked Livefor twice. Next up is the bedding, especially the pillows – they're just the right firmness, ensuring a really comfortable sleep. The soundproofing is also good; once the window is closed, you can't hear any outside noise, and it's very quiet at night. My son loved the mini-fridge in the room; he bought some drinks and cheese, and he really enjoyed that. The service was also excellent and thoughtful. Check-in was quick, the staff were friendly and gentle, and they were always ready to help with any issues. All in all, the transportation, accommodation, and dining experiences were all great, offering good value for money. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Beijing.

For a two-night stay during the Children's Day holiday in Beijing, we chose the Peace Hotel in Jinyu Hutong. It perfectly fit our itinerary, offering views of the Forbidden City from the hotel, and incredible value for money! 📍 Location The hotel is situated at Jinyu Hutong No. 3, right next to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street and the Jinyu Hutong subway station on Line 8, next to a Lego store – super convenient! The next morning, it was easy to bike to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. In terms of price, among the many luxury hotels in the vicinity, this one was remarkably affordable and offered excellent value. Seriously, there are so many high-end hotels nearby, like the Waldorf Astoria, The Peninsula Beijing, and The Regent, among others. We even got an upgrade to a room one floor below the executive lounge. Food, Drinks & Shopping Being so close to the Wangfujing commercial district and various major hotels, shopping was a breeze. Directly opposite the lobby bar on the ground floor is Chanel at The Peninsula Beijing. Further south, you'll find a cluster of luxury car dealerships like Rolls-Royce. One block north are Intime in88 and APM, where you can find trendy spots like Zhuye Bubble Tea and well-known chain restaurants. We ordered Heytea delivery two nights in a row and had lunch at APM both days! Across the street at Macau Center, there's a Peet's Coffee and McDonald's. On a side note, let me mention some clear drawbacks: the hotel is visibly old. If this is a concern for you, consider it carefully. A prime example is the air conditioning, which has yellowed manual dial controls [facepalm emoji], giving it a rather retro feel. However, the location and views are truly unbeatable! The lobby is very bright and well-lit, making it quite comfortable.

An absolutely luxurious stay. The breakfast and the on-site restaurant were top-tier, worthy of the finest dining experiences. The pool boasts a breathtaking view, though it was a shame that the opening hours (from 10:00 AM) didn't allow for an early morning swim. The gym was extremely large and had absolutely everything one could need. An incredible extra: having a washing machine in the room was so convenient! 🌟 Perfect 3-Night Stay for Our Group of 12! 🌟 We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as a group of 12 people across 6 rooms, and it was an absolutely pleasant experience from start to finish. 🏨 The location was convenient, and the rooms were all spacious, clean, modern, and very comfortable. The breakfast had many delicious options, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. 🙌 One of the nicest surprises was that the hotel upgraded our rooms for free, which we truly appreciated! 💬 Although only half of the front desk staff spoke English, the others used translation devices effectively — so communication was smooth and clear throughout our stay. 🎟️ Most importantly, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They assisted us with recommendations, ticket reservations, and insider tips on how to enjoy Zhangjiajie affordably and efficiently. We were all 100% satisfied with our 3-night stay and will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone we know. 🙏 Thank you again to the wonderful team. Wishing you all continued success!

I've stayed at many InterContinental properties, but this was my first time at a Regent, and it was a fantastic experience. It perfectly blends an old-world, understated luxury with Eastern charm and Western light luxury. Located in Beijing's bustling Wangfujing area, where many established luxury hotels show their age a bit, the Regent stands out with its modern exterior, looking remarkably 'fresh' next to neighbors like the Peninsula and Waldorf Astoria, which you can see from your room. Transportation is convenient, right next to Dengshikou subway station on Line 5. Just a heads-up, Exit C doesn't have an escalator. Despite being in a busy area, traffic wasn't bad, and most popular attractions are easily accessible by subway. It's quite close to the Forbidden City, which explains why I saw foreign tour groups staying here. The price-to-value ratio, even during holidays, is excellent. The room layout is straightforward and spacious, with no awkward angles, making it feel very open and never cramped. While it lacks superfluous, winding designs, the attention to detail and artistic touches are exceptional. I particularly loved the toiletries – they have a lovely, subtle woody scent. Breakfast: Offers Beijing specialties like Zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles), local desserts, and stewed offal. The Chinese selection also includes some Cantonese dim sum, and there's a wider variety of Western options. The whole wheat croissants were delicious and guilt-free. Gym and Swimming Pool: Located on the 5th floor, open until 10 PM. There's a wide range of equipment, and I was impressed by the availability of disinfectant spray, a thoughtful detail that ensures user hygiene. Overall, my stay was excellent. I've already recommended it to friends, whether they're visiting Beijing for leisure or business, this place is definitely a top choice.

When I come to Beijing, I'll definitely book the Rosewood. Firstly, their spicy hotpot is delicious, and secondly, the overall interior design aesthetic is excellent. Now, let's talk about the service, which I found quite baffling: 1. The day before, they called to ask about my preferences and room type requirements. I said 'the same as last time,' but the actual room was completely different. 2. I had sent a package ahead of time and specifically mentioned on the phone for it to be placed in my room. However, when I arrived, it wasn't there. I had to call the front desk, and only then was it delivered to my room. 3. There were no umbrellas in the room. You have to go to the front desk and provide your room number to get one, which I found incredibly confusing. 4. Since they changed their logo, the aesthetic has really gone downhill. Just look at these pink slippers (referring to image 1) – they completely clash with the overall room style. 5. And don't even get me started on the hairdryer; it's just awful. Now for the good parts: Yesterday, on our way from the airport to the hotel, we wanted to pre-order room service. Thanks to the front desk's coordination, we were able to eat as soon as we checked into our room, which was fantastic.

The hotel service, as always, was professional and meticulous. The staff were patient, thoughtful, and enthusiastic. Even before check-in, the hotel departments noticed from the booking that there would be children staying, so they decorated the room in a child-friendly way early on, with all sorts of children's amenities readily available, and even bananas among the welcome fruit, which kids love. Both during check-in and check-out, we encountered Miss Sun Yue. She's an excellent employee who can consider issues from the customer's perspective, quickly come up with solutions, and resolve problems efficiently. Although this stay was very satisfying, there's one detail I hope the hotel management pays attention to. There's a sign at the entrance of the executive lounge clearly stating that guests in inappropriate attire or disposable slippers are not allowed. However, during afternoon tea and breakfast, a few guests who disregarded this rule still entered, which certainly affected other guests and made the sign seem pointless.

After staying here, it's clear why it's considered ultra-luxury; there's a definite gap in quality compared to others. 1. The room decor is excellent. After a full renovation, the rooms feature entirely smart controls (though no voice control). All switches (including curtains) are touch-sensitive, and there's also a tablet for tapping away. It's slightly less responsive than ideal but still acceptable. There's even a printer under the desk and two TVs, so you can watch simultaneously in the living room and bedroom. 2. The hotel facilities are also impressive. The thermal facilities and lounge at the spa on the third floor are absolutely amazing, no need to elaborate! The gym offers free yoga instruction videos. 3. The bed in the room is incredibly comfortable! So comfortable, in fact, that I could almost overlook the rather casual service. 4. The cleaning staff were excellent, very polite and efficient, and worked quietly. 5. The hotel offers many recreational activities, such as Hutong tours, children's experience courses, and yoga classes. Although most require payment, I feel they are well-designed to leverage existing resources and create a great guest experience. Cons: 1. The service truly lags. I felt the front desk staff seemed keen on projecting an 'aloof but firm' persona, but in reality, they were unprofessional and impolite. During check-in, when confirming order details and assigning rooms, they remained completely focused on their computer screens, never looking up at the guests when asked questions – I've never encountered this before. The room tour only covered hotel facilities like the restaurant and gym; once we got to the room, not a single thing about it was explained. Also, don't expect any special treatment just because you booked through Trip.com; there was absolutely none (I didn't even receive the spa voucher that was supposed to come with the booking). 2. The concierge department seems to lack experience. Guests would walk out, and they wouldn't even ask if a taxi was needed; they just stood there. 3. The hotel's call center was unanswered in the middle of the night! When I reported the issue the next day, the manager was very apologetic and said they would investigate thoroughly, but no compensation or appeasement followed. Sigh, everyone just seemed a bit haphazard. Cheerful but cold. 4. The turndown service left a thin mat by the bed, which I didn't like. I prefer the soft, plush mats like those at the Mandarin Oriental Macau; they're incredibly comfortable to step on barefoot when getting out of bed. Notes: 1. Deliveries are not allowed upstairs. The delivery person will leave your order on the concierge's luggage cart at the entrance. If you go to pick it up, the concierge will warmly greet you, ask for your room number, and help you find it. 2. Trip.com bookings are not eligible for the 'Peninsula Time' benefit.

From the room window, you can see a large lawn, making it perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. The decor is Chinese style, and both the rooms and public areas are very well-designed. The guest traffic is moderate, so it's not noisy. The concierge staff proactively help with luggage, deliver and retrieve items, and open car doors. The service is incredibly warm and thoughtful.

The service was excellent, but unfortunately, the hotel is quite old with an outdated overall design. The sink was at thigh-level for me, and the shower stall was made of glass, only covered by a thin curtain that still let light through. This was a challenge for someone like me who has trouble sleeping. The hotel is conveniently located near many restaurants and supermarkets, and it's only a ten-minute walk to the subway station. The breakfast buffet suited local tastes, but it was exactly the same every day for three days straight. Overall, it's not as good as a newer business hotel. I'm not sure what the standards are for a 5-diamond hotel when booking through Ctrip.

The Grand Canal CBD Beijing|21.34km from downtown
The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. What I liked most was the TV, which offered a wide variety of free TV series. Ordering takeout was also incredibly convenient (watching 'Dream of the Red Chamber' while enjoying bubble tea and braised dishes was just bliss). Although the hotel was a bit far from tourist attractions, it actually allowed us to take less popular routes, avoiding the crowds. This meant we had a good chance of getting a seat for the entire journey instead of standing, which was a huge relief (I honestly couldn't handle the crowded Beijing subway anymore during the last few days). Finally, a big shout-out to the front desk staff! The two ladies working on the evening of Jan 2nd and the afternoon of Jan 3rd were both gentle and enthusiastic. The hotel also provided excellent luggage storage service. Five stars! 💓💓💓💓💓

To experience the authentic courtyard atmosphere, I specifically chose the hotel's Hutong Suite. Outside, Beijing was freezing, but as soon as I entered the room, I was instantly warmed. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and in the evening, they even provided a complimentary wellness tea and special small snacks, which was a very thoughtful touch! In the morning, I also enjoyed the hotel's breakfast in-room dining service, recharging for the day in the ancient-style room. A special shout-out to Chloe and Willow, thank you for your warm and attentive service. I will definitely choose to stay here again next season!
