This hotel is a hidden gem within the Second Ring Road! The ambiance is elegant and serene, the service is professional and attentive, and the attention to detail is superb. The room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were well-maintained. The location is excellent, making travel convenient, and the garden views are incredibly soothing. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

Facilities: Since it's an older hotel, the facilities are definitely not the newest. I have to complain about the shower drain – it was so slow, the water just pooled there and took ages to go down. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was acceptable. Environment: There was a strange odor coming from the bathroom at night, so we had to keep the toilet door and lid closed, otherwise it was quite unpleasant. Turning on the air purifier helped a bit. However, on the morning we were checking out (today), there was suddenly a very strong smell of smoke in the room, as if someone was smoking right inside. It was really unbearable and suffocating; even with the air purifier on full blast, it didn't help much. When we left the room, there was no smoke smell in the hallway, so I'm not sure if it was a guest in the next room. It was really awful; the elderly and children were all bothered by it. Since we were checking out soon, we didn't bother complaining to the staff. Service: The service was fine.

The hotel felt very safe which was nice as a solo female traveler, although my experience in China as a whole has felt safe. I like that you can only access your floor if you have a room key for the given floor. Also, the large open concept makes all doors to rooms visible from any given point which also makes it feel safe. Doormen to open all doors in the lobby area which is really nice and they bring your luggage to the room. The hotel slippers are the BEST I’ve ever used, not like regular hotel slippers. Ai soft and comfortable. One thing I didn’t like was the large deposit (around $300USD) they needed for the room upon arrival, but it was fine. I’m just not used to that in China. The only downside is that some things need updating…you can tell the hotel is pretty old and with time, a hotel room can only feel so clean. Overall it was as clean as possible given it looks like it’s been a while since they have renovated. Still super clean I’m just picky! I would definitely stay here again. If you want a true “Chinese feel” while staying in Beijing this won’t be the place, but as someone living in China wanting a different feel, it was great. It felt as though I was in Europe somewhere. The concierge spoke English and were always helpful and attentive. The power outlets are older but they provided adapters. The bedside adapter was great, but the other ones in the common area and bathroom i would not use again. I plugged in my smart ring charger in the bathroom and it shorted and shocked me when touching the opposite end of the charger away from the outlet. My hand felt tingly for a few minutes but went away and I was fine. Overall my experience was very positive. I think if they did some minor renovations to modernize a bit, this hotel would be perfect.

The location is great with convenient transportation. Overall, the experience was very good. The decor style is elegant and grand, and the room is spacious and tidy with comfortable bedding. The bathroom amenities are high-quality. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the service was attentive, thoughtful, and responsive. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. The convenient location makes it suitable for both business trips and leisure vacations. Highly recommended.

After looking at three or four hotels, I decided to stay at the Grand Millennium Beijing for my trip to Beijing, mainly because of its proximity to the subway, making it convenient for getting around. The hotel itself is quite grand, and while the service is very traditional, it gets the job done. I contacted the hotel in advance and asked the front desk to book a room on the highest floor within the same price range, with a view of the CCTV Tower. They managed to arrange all of this, which I was very pleased with. However, the hotel is a bit old-fashioned; if you order takeout, there's no robot or staff to deliver it, so you have to go down and pick it up yourself. The room itself is quite spacious and also has a traditional feel. One quirky thing is the power outlets: one nightstand has an outlet, but the other doesn't. This made it impossible to charge my phone while lying in bed, so I had to go to the supermarket the next day to buy an extension cord. Also, the power outlets are quite old-fashioned, not the new national standard, and many of them are loose. The bathroom has two showerheads, a main one and a side one. I assume the side one is for people sitting down, but one thing they might not have considered is where to put clean clothes for changing. If you put them inside, they'll get wet during the shower. If you put them outside, isn't it a bit awkward to walk out naked? The breakfast buffet at the hotel is quite good, with a wide variety of dishes. The mini hash browns, in particular, taste exactly like the ones sold at McDonald's and KFC. Finally, I want to especially thank the bespectacled housekeeper on the 24th floor. Her service was excellent, she was very polite, and the room was cleaned impeccably. She left a particularly good and warm impression. I didn't take many photos of the hotel, so consider these for reference. Also, the Hema Supermarket is about 600-700 meters west of the hotel, which is convenient for buying things.

The hotel's location is excellent. We walked to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and Wangfujing, all of which were quite close. It's also very near a subway station; just a few hundred meters walk and three subway stops to Shichahai. The staff, especially Liu Shuiru, provided great service. She proactively asked if we needed children's disposable slippers when she saw we had a child, which I initially thought the hotel only provided for adults. That was very thoughtful. If I go to Beijing again, I would definitely stay here.

Our stay was ok but had several significant problems. The first was when I was told that my room would be windowless and in the basement. They said this was in the booking but it was definitely not clear when I booked through the English trip.com website, and the photo showed a room with a window. When I checked my booking online afterwards there was no mention of it being windowless. When I said I had expected a window, the staff showed me a room with a window, but it was smaller, reeked of cigarettes, had a different bed configuration ill-suited for my family, and was more expensive. And I was told that regulations prohibited opening the window anyway. I have no idea why. So I resigned my family to the basement. The room was nice and cute but the bathroom smelled like mildew, and, again, it was in a windowless basement. I don't know how it's allowed to have such rooms. The hotel is 8 large floors and has only one elevator, so there was a lot of waiting. The hallway in the basement had an unpleasant vinegar odor. We tried to buy breakfast on our last morning. It turned out we couldn't just buy it with AliPay, we had to install a mini app, add all our information, verify things, and it was taking 15+ minutes. We just wanted to eat and catch our train. This senseless delay almost made us miss it. The staff was nice and helpful but the hotel itself has a lot of problems. It is not cheap. The location is great but I would stay somewhere else next time.

I booked this as a Novotel, but before check-in, I was told it had changed names. This might indicate some issues – perhaps the hotel didn't meet Novotel's standards. The hotel is quite old but well-maintained, with no obvious problems. The outdated design itself isn't a huge deal, but I genuinely can't understand the bathroom door's design – the handle pinches your hand, and the door doesn't close securely. For the price, the location is quite good. Within a few hundred meters' walk, you'll find Dengshikou Subway Station (Line 5) and Jinyukou Station (Line 8). Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is about a 15-minute walk away. I didn't use the hotel's breakfast. There are plenty of breakfast options on the way to Dengshikou Subway Station.

We chose the 'Little Yellow Duck' themed family room, and my daughter absolutely adored it when we entered – it was just too cute and had a wonderful atmosphere! The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the subway station, and within walking distance to attractions like the Forbidden City and Wangfujing Pedestrian Street. The service was excellent, truly excellent. The downstairs 'Siji Minfu' Peking Duck restaurant is a famous Beijing eatery, usually with a wait time of over three hours. The hotel staff thoughtfully reminded us to get a ticket in advance. After spending the day sightseeing, I asked the staff to help me get a ticket, and they managed to get one three hours early – fantastic! On top of that, my knees were a bit sore from all the walking at the Forbidden City, so I asked the hotel for ice to compress them. They even went to a bubble tea shop to get a big bag of ice, huffing and puffing as they brought it up – truly above and beyond! Next time I'm in Beijing, I'll definitely choose the Manxin Hotel Tian'anmen Wangfujing again.

I arrived in Beijing just in time for the first snow of the year, a truly delightful experience! Upon entering the hotel, Eleven at the front desk immediately offered me a warm cup of tea, which was incredibly thoughtful and helped chase away the day's chill. The service here is truly exceptional. The lobby was impeccably clean and well-maintained, despite the snowy weather outside, which speaks volumes about their professional service. My room was comfortably warm, clean, and hygienic. I was also impressed by the robot delivery service for items sold by the hotel; they offer a wide variety of products, including motion sickness patches and steam eye masks. This stay was a last-minute decision because my flight was cancelled that night. We're not familiar with Beijing at all and it was so late, we didn't know which hotel to choose. Luckily, I've always liked the HUAZHU brand, and I figured it wouldn't disappoint. The overall experience after checking in was excellent! First, the service was incredibly thoughtful. From my initial phone call to checking in at the front desk, the staff were all very enthusiastic and efficient. Second, although the room was small, the facilities were very new, with plenty of power outlets and ports. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the water pressure in the bathroom was great. I particularly loved the 'hand hand' wooden smoky-scented toiletries. The soundproofing in the room was also excellent. Additionally, the hotel's location is very convenient, especially for an overnight layover. It's right by the Airport Express and Sanyuanqiao subway station, just about 200 meters from the exit. There's also a large shopping center, Phoenix City, nearby with many high-quality restaurants. The only minor issue might be that the heating was a bit too high and couldn't be adjusted down. But considering the city, location, convenience, and both soft and hard amenities, I can easily give it 5 stars! Highly recommended!

Came here to play with ice and snow, but the ice park was closed, but the snow park was. Came here with children and the elderly, and booked a suite and standard room in the VIP building. The VIP building is newly renovated, the environment is very good, the lobby is large and grand, but there are relatively few guests, even on weekends. You have to drive to another building to eat and soak in the hot springs, which is a bit far to walk, and the snow park is closer to the dining place. It is worth praising that the staff of the snow park have a good attitude, a good experience, and everyone is very enthusiastic. It is worth complaining about the toilet in the snow park, which is a simple one, cold and unclean. There is only one, and you have to queue. It would be better if the snow park opened a few cafes with better environment. There is a small beverage shop with a very bad environment, which is very crowded. The elderly were sitting inside waiting for us to play with snow, but later they felt uncomfortable and went back to the hotel room. . . It is close to the city, and it takes more than an hour to drive there. . .

Stayed here with my kids for a science competition. What impressed me most was how orderly breakfast was, even with hundreds of people – they cleared tables incredibly efficiently, which was a huge plus. It’s also very close to the Badaling Outlets. We checked in quickly on a Friday, no queues at all. My only suggestion would be to reset the central AC temperature; even with the AC off and windows open, it felt like the underfloor heating was on. St. Regis Beijing: Unforgettable Luxury and Flawless Service I recently concluded a truly exceptional stay in an Executive Room at the St. Regis Beijing and can confidently say the experience far exceeded expectations. If you are looking for a sanctuary of space and attentive service in the city, this is the place to be. The Executive Room: Space and Comfort The Executive Room itself was superb. The space was generous, feeling less like a hotel room and more like a private apartment. The design is elegant and classic, providing a very relaxing environment after a long day of sightseeing. One of the standout features was the walk-in wardrobe, which offered ample space to fully unpack and settle in—a small luxury that makes a huge difference on longer trips. Beyond the wardrobe, the room was stocked with a full array of amenities that spoke to the St. Regis's commitment to guest comfort and detail. Impeccable Service and Signature Touches While the room was excellent, the service elevated the entire stay to five-star status. The consistent turn-down service provided every evening was flawless, ensuring the room was refreshed and welcoming each time I returned. It's those little touches that define luxury. Most notably, the concierge service was truly excellent and invaluable for navigating Beijing. They were professional, knowledgeable, and exceptionally helpful. They effortlessly managed to secure a booking for a Peking Opera show, which was a fantastic highlight of my trip. Furthermore, their simple and effective directions were a lifesaver, making it easy and stress-free to get around the city. Final Verdict From the generous size and superior amenities of the Executive Room (especially that walk-in wardrobe!) to the consistently high level of service—particularly the knowledgeable concierge—the St. Regis Beijing is a flawless choice. Highly recommended for travelers seeking luxury, space, and a staff that goes above and beyond.

I brought my two elderly parents, my kids, and myself to the Half Mountain Bay last weekend for a two-day, one-night stay. This was our second time here, and it was just as relaxing and hassle-free as the first. The environment is beautiful, nestled by mountains and water with fresh air, perfect for seniors to unwind and kids to play. Our butler, Lika, was incredibly warm and attentive throughout. She proactively communicated with us before check-in to understand our needs and was always responsive during our stay. She was especially patient with the elderly and children, thoughtfully reminding us about the hot springs and salt steam room precautions, and fulfilling every request – her service was truly heartwarming. The breakfast buffet was abundant, offering both Chinese and Western options. The live cooking stations served delicious food, and everyone, especially the kids and seniors, enjoyed it thoroughly. The variety and taste were excellent, setting us up for a great day. The Half Mountain hot springs are genuinely comfortable. The Zodiac-themed pools offer good privacy and the water temperature was just right; my parents felt completely relaxed after their soak. The salt steam room was great for unwinding and relieving fatigue, suitable for both adults and children, leaving us feeling completely refreshed. The kids' play area was large and safe, and my two children didn't want to leave. Meanwhile, the seniors could relax and chat nearby, ensuring everyone in the family had a good time. This was my first trip to Beijing with my child, and after looking at many hotels, I decided to make the Regent our first stop. It's quite close to Wangfujing, the Forbidden City, and Tiananmen Square. I'd previously seen taxi drivers often dropping off guests at the Beijing Regent Hotel in videos, and from those, the facade and exterior of the hotel, with its glass curtain wall structure, looked quite impressive. I'd had a great experience staying at the Regent Chongqing before, so I had high expectations for the Beijing Regent. It seemed like there were more international guests than Chinese guests staying at the hotel. The lobby is very spacious, and there's a live pianist during the day, creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. This time, I specifically booked a Forbidden City view room, and the front desk even upgraded me to a Regent Club room – I also have to thank all the parents from Jiangsu primary and secondary schools on spring break who *didn't* all choose to stay at international big-brand hotels! Our room faced the southwest corner, offering approximately 150 degrees of floor-to-ceiling glass views. We could see the Forbidden City to the west and the White Dagoba of Beihai Park. The hotel room decor, though a bit dated, was generally acceptable. The only minor issue was that the toilet drainage was a bit slow; I hope they can improve that. The hotel breakfast was decent and should satisfy the tastes and needs of 80% of people. Downstairs, the peach blossoms (I assume they were peach blossoms) were in full bloom, attracting passersby to stop and take photos. Overall, I was quite satisfied with our first hotel in Beijing.

Spacious Rooms: Standard rooms start at 40 sqm, while executive rooms are 60 sqm or more. Bathrooms feature separate wet and dry areas with double sinks. Sealy mattresses and Bose sound systems are standard, indicating a very solid foundation in terms of hardware. Convenient Location: Situated in the Lido business district, it's a 5-minute walk to Jiangtai West Station (Line 12). Beijing Capital International Airport is about 30 minutes away, and the 798 Art Zone is just 1.6 km, making it a top choice for art enthusiasts. Hearty Breakfast: The breakfast at Yu Shang Restaurant offers a wide variety, including a live noodle station and local specialties. While not particularly astonishing, the quality is certainly up to par and meets five-star standards.

Guomao Area Beijing|2.93km from downtown
Facilities: This old five-star hotel is very well-maintained. Cleanliness: Clean and hygienic, the cleaning staff are very polite. Environment: Very convenient, with plenty of options for food and shopping nearby. Service: Friendly and enthusiastic. Airport/Station Transfer (¥100 discount coupon): The driver contacted me in advance, but Beijing South Railway Station was under renovation, which made vehicle entry and exit slow, so I had to wait a bit longer.

For this friends' gathering, we wanted to experience a traditional courtyard hotel. We chose the Waldorf Astoria over the Aman, and it was an excellent experience! The room was very new and spacious, and the courtyard was beautiful. All the staff were incredibly thoughtful. Before check-in, our dedicated butler, Amber, contacted us to ask if we needed any anniversary decorations and about our bedding preferences. We arrived quite early, and our room wasn't ready yet, so they kindly prepared a room for us in the main building to rest. They guided us through the entire process, and the service was incredibly detailed and attentive, giving us a fantastic first impression right from check-in. For breakfast, we opted for room service. The variety was extensive, with American, Continental, Chinese, and even low-fat options. Staff member Will also provided very attentive service. The hotel even offered a complimentary travel photography service. Although it was raining, the photographer (a young man named Yueqian) found great spots, and the photos turned out natural and beautiful. While taking photos in the courtyard, we met another staff member, Judy, who was very enthusiastic. She gave us many tips on photo locations and also told us about fun places to visit in Beijing. If we weren't heading to Universal Studios, we would have loved to stay a few more days. The overall experience was excellent, and I'd love to bring my parents here next time.

Intelligent experience, five stars! ”The hotel's facilities are truly brand new, and the smart home system is exceptionally well-done! The 'Xiaodu' voice assistant controls the curtains, lights, and TV, and it's incredibly responsive. There's plenty of hot water in the room, and the showerhead has great pressure. The parking lot even has charging stations, which totally solves the headache of charging an electric car. A detail-oriented person like me is absolutely thrilled!”
