I absolutely have to leave a great review for the New Otani Chang Fu Gong, because in all my recent trips to Beijing, having stayed at places like the Beijing Hotel and Shangri-La, I haven't encountered service that met my expectations. Before that, the Marriott Executive Apartments were good. But this time, the Chang Fu Gong absolutely nailed it. From the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeeping, everything was professional. Unlike typical hotels, they didn't bang on my door early in the morning under the guise of cleaning, yet when I returned, the room was already tidied up. The quality of the food in the restaurant was also spot-on. Even though the hotel has been operating for a while, it's very well-maintained, making for a comfortable and cozy stay. The location is also excellent. Their business services are thoughtful too. I'm secretly adding this to my favorites.FromIDR 1,690,852

Excellent! Staying at Capital Hotel this time was absolutely the right choice, I have to give it a big 5-star rating! To be honest, my first impression upon entering was fantastic. The front desk lady was incredibly efficient with the check-in process and so friendly, none of that coldness you sometimes get at five-star hotels. I booked a king-size room, and as soon as I opened the door, I said ”wow”—the room was so bright and spacious, and the view of Beijing's nightscape from the large window was absolutely stunning! I really have to highlight their bed! Once you lie down, you don't want to get up; it's neither too soft nor too firm, just perfect, and the pillow height was just right. Even I, someone who usually has trouble sleeping in new places, slept soundly until morning. The details were also spot-on: the bathroom was sparkling clean, and the hot water came on quickly and powerfully. The biggest surprise was all the complimentary perks, like the ”Cloud Tour of the Forbidden City” cultural experience, travel photography, and the health-boosting soup at Junting Restaurant! It's rare to see such generosity these days. The location couldn't be better either; it's a 10-minute walk to Wangfujing, and there's a subway station right outside, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The hotel has many restaurants, including Chinese, Western, and hot pot, all delicious and reasonably priced! What made me feel most comfortable was the staff; everyone, from the bellboy who helped with luggage at the entrance to the cleaning aunties, greeted me with a smile, making me feel so warm inside. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Beijing, and I highly recommend it to all my friends!FromIDR 1,686,014

I was very satisfied with my choice of this hotel.
The hotel's location is excellent; it's convenient for getting anywhere. Dengshikou subway station is only 300 meters away. Wangfujing is a 10-minute walk, offering a wide selection of food and shopping. The Forbidden City is just over a 20-minute walk.
The hotel's heated pool, sauna, hot tub, and gym are all fantastic facilities. I stayed for four days and swam almost every day.
The staff cleaned our room very thoroughly every day, and knowing there were four of us, they provided enough bottled water for us to drink.
The Christmas decorations in the lobby were beautiful, and the children were very excited. Some young people specifically came to take photos, which I think is perfectly fine and didn't affect our stay. I support the hotel's approach, allowing more people to share in the joy.FromIDR 2,123,846

Check-in was smooth. The front desk requested for 5x the amount of deposit due to multiple night stays.
The room was very spacious with a living area and walk-in wardrobe. Room was dimly lit, ok in the day with sun but gets very dark at night.
Shower door was transparent, not sure why they designed it this way. I like that you can open the sliding doors to the bathroom but would have preferred the shower door to at least be frosted to have some privacy. The bathroom is connected to the walk-in wardrobe, you can actually look into the bathroom from the other side of the walk-in wardrobe so there's even less privacy.
The beds are small doubles so can be slightly tight on space if you sleep with a big kid.
Room supplies are topped up everyday. They will provide more bottles of water upon request.
Location was great, right next door to APM mall (2 mins walk away). MRT station is right below APM mall (Jinyu Hutong station).

I recently stayed at the Sunworld Hotel, and the experience was fantastic! I definitely have to give it a glowing review!
The overall decoration of the hotel is exquisite. The lobby is spacious and bright, and every corner is clean and tidy.
I especially want to praise the front desk staff, Zoey. Her service is simply impeccable. When handling the check-in procedures, she was enthusiastic and professional. I asked her many questions about nearby places to visit and dine, and she patiently answered all of them. She also thoughtfully provided a lot of practical suggestions. Cleanliness: I was initially quite worried after reading some reviews, as several mentioned poor hygiene. However, the cleanliness was actually excellent!
Facilities: Breakfast, a convenience store (Bianlifeng) right downstairs, and a bar – everything you need is here. Many foreigners choose this hotel too. There's also an ICBC bank right across from the hotel.
I had a minor issue with the door lock; my key card wouldn't work, but the front desk promptly sent someone to fix it, and it was all sorted by the time I returned in the evening.
The heating was very strong, almost too warm!
The location is incredibly convenient. The subway station is just across the road, and it's surrounded by a shopping district, making it easy to get anywhere.
The shower pressure was great, and they provide a Laifen hairdryer.
Service: Four-star quality! The cleaning auntie even helped fold my clothes and neatly arranged my slippers, leaving the room spotless.

First time staying at Regent Beijing, and it did not feel up to IHG standards in my opinion.
Wi-Fi in my room was extremely slow, and I had to go back and forth with the call centre and housekeeping before the duty manager finally resolved the issue.
The bathroom cleanliness was not what you would expect from a five-star hotel.
- There was visible mould in the shower area. I received a call from Housekeeping on 28 Dec, informed them about it, but no one came to clean it.
- There was also a seriously clogged shower drain (later fixed), which suggests no one noticed it before we checked in, likely because it had not been properly cleaned.
Lobby lounge - Italian sparkling wine would never be a champagne, this is not supposed to be happening on REGENT hotel wine menu. Silly mistake & not professional. Wanted to order “Santa Punch” from the festive menu around 6pm and learned that it was sold out in the afternoon, half of the operational hours…
Other than that, staffs are very friendly and helpful but the cleanliness really turn me off for next visit. Given there’s plenty of other hotels in the same areaFromIDR 2,438,311

The location is excellent and very convenient. Wangfujing Commercial Street is just a few steps away, and various public transport options are also very close.
The hotel is an older establishment, and the overall facilities feel a bit dated. However, it's kept very clean, and the decor is quite nice. The housekeeping is meticulously done, which I absolutely commend.
The only thing that fell below my expectations was the service. The Peninsula is considered an established luxury five-star hotel. Compared to other brands in its category, the service here was genuinely a bit disappointing. Perhaps the hotel caters to many international guests; from the concierge to the front desk and even the manager, everyone seemed busy chatting with foreign guests. That's fine; I'm not much for socializing myself. However, regarding room assignments, I had repeatedly communicated with the Ctrip customer service beforehand, requesting that our rooms be close together or at least on the same floor. Although they did eventually arrange it, my and my parents' rooms were at opposite ends of the corridor, in different directions from the elevator, which was incredibly inconvenient. My mother has difficulty walking, so it was almost impossible for us to walk back and forth to exchange things. I tolerated it, assuming they were fully booked. Then, my own room turned out to be a connecting room. Why weren't we informed that this was an option? Oh well, I continued to endure. Until the last night, when a family with a child clearly checked into the adjacent room, immediately highlighting the terrible soundproofing of the connecting room. It was so bad that my son thought I was talking to him when the neighbors were speaking. I let it go during their afternoon nap, but they were still chatting loudly into the evening. It's not their fault; people need to talk. But assigning a connecting room like that is truly inhumane. I couldn't take it anymore and called ”room service,” explaining that we were about to go to sleep and that I didn't know how they could ask guests to be quieter, as it's their right, and they weren't having a party; it was simply poor soundproofing. He said he would relay it to the duty manager. And then, nothing. I even thought they might have quietly resolved the issue without disturbing me further since it was late. But I checked out early the next morning and was already in Shanghai. No one ever reached out to offer an apology or explanation for this matter. It just felt like: it wasn't important? If it were a four-star or regular five-star hotel, I'd probably be okay with it. But you're The Peninsula! Sigh. Disappointed.FromIDR 5,500,712

This hotel is geared towards families with children, and most guests are here with their kids. The beds in the rooms are a bit high, which isn't safe for small children getting in and out, and there are no carpets. Also, the steps next to the bathtub have several sharp corners that really should have protective corner guards for safety. On top of that, the air conditioning didn't blow any hot air at all, even after running it all night. The room temperature simply wasn't warm enough for bathing a baby. And when I checked out, they didn't immediately inform me about items I'd left in the room – in fact, they didn't tell me at all. I only realized I'd left something after I got home and was looking for it. It seems they only retrieve forgotten items if the guest remembers and contacts them. Came here to play with ice and snow, but the ice park was closed, but the snow park was. Came here with children and the elderly, and booked a suite and standard room in the VIP building. The VIP building is newly renovated, the environment is very good, the lobby is large and grand, but there are relatively few guests, even on weekends. You have to drive to another building to eat and soak in the hot springs, which is a bit far to walk, and the snow park is closer to the dining place. It is worth praising that the staff of the snow park have a good attitude, a good experience, and everyone is very enthusiastic. It is worth complaining about the toilet in the snow park, which is a simple one, cold and unclean. There is only one, and you have to queue. It would be better if the snow park opened a few cafes with better environment. There is a small beverage shop with a very bad environment, which is very crowded. Having spent considerable time in the vicinity of the International Club, International Building, Japanese Embassy, Associated Press, and Ritan Park, I'm very familiar with this area. The hotel is strategically located just off Chang'an Avenue, at No. 21 Jianguomenwai Avenue, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It's situated in the heart of the CBD, adjacent to Chang'an Avenue and the Embassy District. Jianguomen subway station is a mere 7-minute walk away, and iconic landmarks like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City are just a few blocks from the hotel. It also offers convenient access to vibrant shopping and entertainment hubs such as Guomao, Wangfujing, and Sanlitun. I myself spent nearly a decade working in the International Building.
Upon entering the lobby, its high ceilings and grand, pillarless design create a truly magnificent impression. The suites are thoughtfully laid out and exude an elegant, classic charm. A serene garden with a gentle flowing fountain enhances the overall sophisticated ambiance. Despite opening in 1997, the facilities are comprehensive, and the environment, cleanliness, and service all maintain a first-class standard. The standout feature is the unforgettable butler service; the personalized, one-on-one attention makes you feel right at home. The 24-hour comprehensive butler team provides exceptional service, anticipating and fulfilling every guest's need.
Our butlers, Jasmine, Parker, Alex, and Bradley, orchestrated a series of unique experiences, including the St. Regis's classic traditional ritual of champagne sabrage. This spectacular event took place in the gallery of the Danielli Italian Restaurant on the hotel's second floor, where guests collectively raised their glasses, savored exquisite champagne, and celebrated. The sabered champagne cork was then presented as a cherished keepsake. Dylan Zhao and Candie (灿灿) went above and beyond, waiting for our return even after we came back late from a football match at Workers' Stadium. As we opened the door, they were already there, ready to welcome us home with comforting warm honey-lemon water and hot peppermint Earl Grey tea, perfectly prepared for optimal flavor. Their handwritten cards were also a thoughtful touch, now treasured keepsakes. They truly made our St. Regis night wonderful, cozy, and unforgettable.
While there's so much more I wish to express, my feelings at this moment are truly beyond words, deeply etched in my heart. The only minor drawback was that the room felt a bit warm during winter (December 13-19), and adjusting the air conditioning didn't seem to make much difference. However, I later discovered that opening the window for ventilation cooled the room down immediately. The curtain design is also very thoughtful, with two layers: a fabric curtain and a paper shield. Every year, I stay here for about a week. The lobby staff always proactively open car doors and help with luggage, and the front desk staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating. The cleaning ladies are also very kind and polite. I've gotten used to staying here over the years. However, a small incident this time slightly impacted my experience.
It happened to be the hotel's anniversary that day. We brought a few friends who were staying at nearby hotels back to ours. We even participated in the anniversary celebration in the lobby, posing for photos and videos with the staff. Back in our room, we were cooking and forgot to turn on the range hood, which set off the smoke alarm. Two staff members, a man and a woman, came to investigate. The man had a very stern expression. He walked into our room with rather dirty shoes and no shoe covers, went straight to the dining area, and started taking photos. Everyone in our group always changes into slippers upon entering to maintain the room's cleanliness. We quickly explained to them that we had just been cooking and forgotten to turn on the range hood. However, the man's expression remained displeased, and his attitude made us feel like we had committed some major offense, almost like we were being interrogated. Seeing four guests in the room, we quickly explained that only two of us were officially checked in. The guests hadn't gone to the front desk to register that day because of the ongoing event in the lobby, so they had just headed straight up to the room.
The next day, we brought up the incident with the front desk, and they very politely apologized to us. We hope that in the future, other relevant departments will receive better training, and staff will not treat guests as if they are reprimanding criminals.FromIDR 2,073,048

Just got back from Beijing, and I can't wait to praise Wang Ran from the hotel's service center – truly excellent, with superb professional skills. Here's what happened: The day before yesterday, it snowed, and I suddenly had the urge to visit the Summer Palace in Beijing to see the snow. I was initially hesitant about going, so I called your hotel to inquire about check-in details. The person who answered was Wang Ran from the service center (I only learned her position and name later when I asked her). Wang Ran's service made me feel incredibly warm. She confidently explained the hotel's room situation and also informed me about Beijing's weather conditions and various transportation options to the Summer Palace. Her help immediately dispelled my hesitation, and I no longer wanted to inquire about any other hotels. Because of her service, I absolutely had to choose Shangri-La Hotel!
Wang Ran from the service center had a clear and gentle voice, and her opening remarks were polite and friendly, instantly alleviating the anxiety I felt due to my tight schedule. I had a lot of questions this time, ranging from room upgrade policies, breakfast issues, and wet/dry separation in the bathroom to transportation around the hotel and breakfast times. My questions were numerous and repetitive, but Wang Ran patiently listened without the slightest hint of perfunctory service. Throughout our conversation, she was clear-headed, responded accurately, and even re-confirmed my needs before ending the call to ensure nothing was missed.

There were two things I wasn't too happy about. First, the soundproofing in the room wasn't great. Either that, or the kid next door was just incredibly loud. They were shouting in the afternoon, still shouting when I got back to the hotel after 11 PM, and then started again around 8 AM on Sunday – better than an alarm clock!
The other thing was that after finishing my meal in the room in the afternoon, I wanted to call for someone to pick up the trays. The call went to an automated customer service. We brought our child for refractive surgery during the summer holiday. The hotel's location was incredibly convenient, being just four or five subway stops from Tongren Hospital. I was genuinely surprised by how excellent it was for less than 400 RMB; it offered exceptional value for money. Highly recommended. The hotel was clean and well-maintained overall. Our room, though interior-facing, was equipped with a fresh air system, making our stay very comfortable. Next time I visit Beijing, if the location is convenient for my plans, I would definitely consider staying here again.FromIDR 626,510
