The Korean receptionist at the front desk had a terrible attitude during check-in. There was a Caucasian guest in front of me, and after he was done, the Korean man kept his head down, doing something on the computer. I waited for him to finish, but he just kept clicking away without looking up. After waiting for a while, I handed him my passport to check in. It was around 4 PM, and we wanted our two rooms on the same floor. He then started 'processing' our check-in, clicking on the computer for a very long time without any explanation. I must have stood there for at least five minutes. My friend eventually got impatient and asked him why it was taking so long, telling him to 'hurry.' Only then did he say he was arranging the floors. After that, he quickly finalized everything. One room was ready for immediate check-in, and the other was waiting to be cleaned.

The room was clean and tidy, and it was cleaned twice a day with water replenished promptly. Most importantly, it's very close to Lotte Duty Free, so after shopping, you can drop off your purchases at the hotel and continue shopping. It's also very near Myeongdong Food Street, making shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel even gave chocolates and a small dress to our child during check-in. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Seoul.

Let's start with the pros: 1. The hotel's location is excellent, right behind Shinsegae Department Store, and only about a 5-minute walk to Myeongdong shopping street. 2. There's a subway station downstairs, and the surrounding area offers plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. 3. The hotel's style leans more towards medieval Baroque. If you're not particularly fond of this somewhat quirky decor, I'd suggest reconsidering. However, for a unique travel experience, this hotel is definitely a plus. 4. There are three Michelin-starred restaurants right on the hotel's upper floors, making it very convenient for food lovers. Cons: No significant issues with the hotel. Worth staying, haha!

Everything else was top-notch and, in many ways, exceeded our experiences at other Four Seasons properties. However, one aspect we found disappointing was the strict minimum spending requirement per guest. We were traveling with children, yet regardless of their age, we were required to meet a minimum spend of approximately $150 per person to be seated at both the terrace restaurant and the Japanese restaurant. Even at the Italian restaurant, we felt pressured to order both appetizers and main courses for the children. While the food and service were excellent, these policies made dining with a family feel less welcoming and detracted from an otherwise outstanding stay.

The Shilla Seoul is by far the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during this trip to Seoul. Having had a great experience at the Jeju Shilla previously, I wanted to see how the Seoul property would compare. The bedding was comfortable, and the shower had fantastic water pressure—the kind where you can actually have a proper shower. They use Dyson hair dryers instead of the old-fashioned ones, which was quite nice. As for the service, the staff all had rather professional, practiced smiles; I just wish they could be a bit warmer to Chinese guests! I loved the smoked salmon at The Library bar—it was insanely delicious with top-notch quality, plus it came with my beloved dill! We ate it for several days in a row! The live singers, both male and female, were quite good and created a great atmosphere! However, a middle-aged male waiter with glasses at the bar was rather snobbish and treated Chinese guests differently. Also, the legendary pastries from the bakery were, in my opinion, quite mediocre. On the downside, the pillows were much too high, which could easily give you a stiff neck. The room rates have gone up a bit ridiculously. You don't need an adapter to charge your devices, and there are plenty of outlets in the room, which is a big plus! Established luxury hotels are still a safe bet, and you can see quality in the details.

Overall, it was a great stay, but the double standards and eye-rolling at the breakfast restaurant are unacceptable and warrant a formal complaint. The Ambassador Seoul - A Pullman Hotel offers an overall good stay experience with a convenient location, close to the Gangnam commercial district and Sinnonhyeon Station. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bedding is excellent, and the soundproofing is also good. The front desk and concierge services are professional, promptly assisting with calling taxis and handling luggage. The gym, swimming pool, and executive lounge are all up to standard, and the breakfast has a rich variety. This was a hotel I would have been willing to recommend to friends. However, what happened at the breakfast restaurant made me furious, and I must write about it: I went to the breakfast restaurant wearing slippers and was stopped by the staff, who said slippers were not allowed. I understood at first, but then I noticed several white guests inside the restaurant dining normally in slippers. When I asked why they were allowed and I wasn't, the staff actually rolled their eyes at me with a contemptuous attitude, and only then changed their story to say that ”outdoor slippers are allowed, but indoor slippers are not.” I completely cannot accept this explanation and the so-called definition of slippers. First, there are no clear signs at the entrance stating ”indoor slippers are not allowed, outdoor slippers are allowed.” Second, the staff did not explain clearly at first and simply blocked me rudely. Third, wearing the same type of slippers, white guests were allowed in while I was stopped and given an eye-roll. Fourth, the rules were only added after I argued, which made me strongly feel subjected to differential treatment and discrimination. This is not about slippers; it is an issue of inconsistent rule enforcement, failure in communication, and a lack of respect. I demand that hotel management investigate the staff on duty at the breakfast restaurant that day, issue an apology to me, and retrain the breakfast staff: unify standards, provide clear signage, communicate politely, and prohibit any differential treatment of guests based on nationality, skin color, or language. Otherwise, I will file a formal complaint with Accor Group and the booking platform. Overall, the hotel's hardware and services are commendable, but this experience at the breakfast restaurant severely drags down the brand image. The accommodation can be recommended, but the breakfast service must be overhauled. I hope the hotel will not brush this off as a ”communication misunderstanding”—this is a matter of whether guests are treated fairly and with respect.

The location of New Seoul is excellent, with subway lines 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 nearby. There's a very enthusiastic woman at the front desk who speaks Chinese. You can only top up your Wowpass at the front desk, not your Tmoney. There's a conveniently located Olive Young not far from the hotel. Cheonggyecheon Stream is just a 3-5 minute walk away, perfect for an evening stroll. Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace are about a 15-minute walk, and you can exit through the side gate of Gyeongbokgung to reach Bukchon Hanok Village. Location: This hotel was very close to Seoul station (15 minutes by car). Euljiro station (10 minutes walking distance). Attractions: 1. MYEONGDONG-Everything is at Myeongdong including the banana milk at Olive Young; Laneige stores, a thrift store; the food street with the new crocs-style cake, chicken skewers; and great Korean fried chicken 🍗, tteokbokki and fishcakes, and the marshmallow ice cream. 2. The tourist information centre is about 200m from the hotel. Here, you get information and maps and overall clear direction. The staff is very helpful. 3. Great restaurants like KUT (quite literally around the corner), and a Michelin restaurant about 400m away as well as salad bar and coffee shops. 4. Shinsegae 5. A river runs infront of the hotel 6. Historical museums and parks The actual hotel and room: The hotel was very easy to find and the receptionist was helpful. The food was nice; there was enough veggies and the eggs smelled alright. They did not have a tea selection unfortunately but the soup tasted quite nice although I am not sure what it was-maybe creamed corn and potato. The room was alright and looked just as pictured but it initially smelled like a rat died on the rug(that could be because it had no windows and felt a bit suffocating but the developing plot area beside the hotel kinda also smelled like that). It became less obvious on day 2. Overall, I would definitely return to this hotel.

Taking the 6015 bus from Incheon Airport T1 is super convenient as it drops you right at the hotel entrance. For the return trip, you can catch the bus from the same stop, it's a loop service back to the airport. The hotel is also very close to the subway, which is a big plus. We booked a total of five nights, with four nights in one room and the other night separately. Both rooms were identical. They were spacious enough, and the toiletries were complete, though the slippers were a bit thin. The toilet's refilling sound was a bit loud, and I didn't like that the bathroom exhaust fan couldn't be turned off. The pillow situation was a bit awkward too, with one low pillow and two high ones. On the positive side, all the staff members were numerous and very diligent.

The downside is that there were former employees striking outside the hotel the entire time. It seems this hotel treats its staff very poorly. The daily room cleaning was also done very late, probably because they laid off so many employees. For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The location, however, is excellent. It's super convenient for getting to major shops in Myeongdong like Olive Young (though a bit far from the duty-free shop). The subway station is right downstairs, and there's also a very large 7-Eleven downstairs with spacious seating for instant noodles. Other stores like GS25 are also nearby, and a 12-story Daiso is just across the street. The hotel doesn't provide disposable dental kits, so you can just buy them directly from Daiso. Myeongdong Cathedral is right behind the hotel, and there are quite a few historical attractions in the vicinity. Luggage storage is very convenient, and check-in is self-service.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the airport shuttle bus, subway, Lotte Department Store, and the main street of Myeongdong. Just a short walk from the hotel, across the street, is Lotte World, and opposite Lotte World is the beginning of Myeongdong Shopping Street. A little further past Lotte is the subway station. Downstairs, there are two convenience stores, a GS25 and a 7-Eleven, making it very convenient for buying things. The hotel staff were enthusiastic and answered all our questions. The room was cleaned daily and kept spotless. We stayed on the 11th floor in mid-August, and the Korean lady who cleaned our room was incredibly warm, polite, and always smiling. She noticed we only had two bottles of mineral water and went out to buy more, so the next day, she left four bottles, which was very thoughtful. The hotel breakfast is on the 17th floor; it's not huge but offers a good variety. The salads, vegetables, bread, milk, fruit, and hot dishes all tasted great. The restaurant manager greeted us warmly every day. We felt comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. The hotel price is reasonable, making it a great choice for business trips or leisure travel to Seoul. Highly recommended!

This was my first time in Seoul, and traveling with my family of four, I opted for the 56-square-meter suite – it exceeded all expectations! The two queen-sized beds (1.51m each) were incredibly spacious for two people. Housekeeping kept the room spotless every single day. The service here truly stands out; when we needed a taxi, the front desk attendant called one for us, which turned out to be much cheaper than using an app like Didi. He even helped us with our luggage, bringing it up and down, and waited until our car drove away before leaving. The transportation is incredibly convenient; there are several subway lines right downstairs to choose from, and as soon as you step out, there are all sorts of dining options. The mall is also right downstairs, making it super easy to buy anything you need! Most importantly, I love to run, and this hotel is very close to Cheonggyecheon Stream, which is a dream come true for running enthusiasts! It's a 5km one-way run, making it 10km round trip! Fantastic! The hotel breakfast was also a highlight; the fried chicken, noodles, and mixed salads were absolutely delicious! Plus, the front desk staff were very friendly. When we arrived, there was even a guide who spoke Chinese, which was very nice! I'll definitely choose this place again next time! Unforgettable Seoul, you brought me endless surprises!

everything was perfect. well located with airport limousine just outside the hotel, eateries around, convenience stores, and the late night shopping district within walking distance. place was clean and spacious. ive got the transport nearby and hot shower. just the pillows are way too soft and the lifts require quite some waiting time. the restaurant only takes min 2 pax. so dont bother if youre a solo traveller. just go out to eat.

This is my second time staying at Hotel Sky Park 3, and I would definitely book again if I visit Korea in the future. The check-out process was very quick, and the staff were friendly throughout my stay. I even arrived early, and the receptionist kindly helped me check in before the official time, which I really appreciated. All the staff were polite and always greeted guests when entering and leaving the hotel. The service overall was excellent. The room was very clean and comfortable. If you stay in a room with a window, you can even enjoy a view of Namsan Tower, which is a nice bonus. Highly recommended if you are looking for a clean hotel in a convenient location.

First off, this is a legitimate hotel, not a guesthouse or a self-built inn. It has all the standard hotel amenities. It's definitely a suitable place to stay. Now, regarding the location, don't trust some of the online guides. This area isn't a commercial district or where tourists would typically want to go. It's a wholesale market hub, much like Beijing's Zoo Market or Chengdu's Lotus Pond Market – places that open at night for stocking up and close during the day. Within a two-kilometer radius, there are tens of thousands of tailor shops. Of course, there are some malls that are open during the day, but they're very few, so it's not recommended for tourists to stay here. I chose this place because I was returning to China from Busan, wanted a good night's rest, and needed to go to Gimpo Airport the next day. For everyone else, it's probably best to stick to hotels near Myeongdong; having Lotte Department Store right outside is the way to go. The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste; you have to buy them from a vending machine. They really don't offer them at all, unlike other hotels where they might not actively provide them but will give them to you if you ask, like a razor. The two beds are roughly the size you'd find in a student dormitory. The breakfast *looked* like it would be good, but the reality was that it ended at 10 AM, with last entry at 9:30 AM. I went around 8:40 AM, and all that was left was sliced bread, sliced baguette, and instant noodles. As for scrambled eggs, bacon fried rice, which should have been there, I didn't see any – they were gone by at least 8:30 AM, and they didn't restock at all. The small pots for dishes in my pictures were all empty. I only managed to eat four small mushrooms. The hotel description mentioned sausages and other items, but there was absolutely nothing. In the end, I had a cup of instant noodles and a glass of grape juice.

I had actually noticed this hotel before. I used to stay at a hotel nearby and even came into this one specifically to take photos with the super-sized Brown bear in the lobby. So, before this trip, I made sure to look it up, and to my surprise, I was lucky enough to book a themed room! They said it would be a random rabbit or bear theme, but I was so fortunate to get my favorite Brown bear themed room. Check-in was at 3 PM, but I arrived at 2:20 PM and they actually let me check in early. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and always greeted me politely when I entered or left. The themed rooms are all on the 14th floor, and as soon as you step out of the elevator, you're greeted by adorable plushies. The room itself was incredibly cute, like stepping into a fairy tale and becoming good friends with Brown bear. The giant Brown bear on the sofa was super cute, and I also loved the blue sofa, though it showed some signs of age. The room facilities were all great, especially the TV channels – there were so many! For someone like me who loves to stay in the hotel, this was fantastic. There were even three or four channels with Chinese dramas, and even more movies and Korean dramas. The bathroom facilities were also good. I really liked that the bathtub and shower were separate; I don't like showering while standing in a tub. The only downside was that the exhaust fan was a bit noisy. I also have to praise their housekeeping speed. At other hotels, sometimes you put up the 'clean my room' sign and it doesn't get cleaned for hours, but here, it was always done very quickly and was spotlessly clean. I was particularly satisfied with this.

Hotels in Seoul can be pricey, but this one definitely delivers on quality and service. The room's design is well-thought-out and practical, with all the necessary amenities. I was really happy with the bedding. The small balcony was a pleasant surprise, offering an unexpected view of N Seoul Tower! The location is absolutely unbeatable. You can walk to Myeongdong and Dongdaemun, and it's surprisingly quiet despite being in the heart of the city. With subway stations both in front and behind the hotel, getting anywhere in Seoul is a breeze. The bus stop for Incheon Airport is just a 4-minute walk away, and with its long operating hours, it makes getting to and from the airport incredibly convenient and comfortable.

Great location! It's super close to Exit 3 of Myeongdong Station (Subway Line 4), and Myeongdong itself is right across the street, making shopping incredibly convenient. Behind the hotel is Cartoon Street, and if you head up, you'll reach Namsan Tower. Downstairs, there are two supermarkets, 7-Eleven and GS25. Just a heads-up, the hotel doesn't provide disposable toiletries, so you'll need to bring your own. Rooms are cleaned daily, which is a plus. You also don't need a power adapter; your domestic plugs will work directly. I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely choose this place again next time!

It was pretty clean overall, but I was assigned a corner room, probably because I checked in late. The room was a bit small, but it had a view of Namsan Tower. There's a small garden on the top floor in the open-air smoking area, which also offers a view of Namsan Tower. Downstairs, there's a coffee shop with affordable and delicious coffee; I saw many locals buying coffee there. It's not far from Myeongdong shopping street and night market, about a 10-15 minute walk.

The location is fantastic! Although the room was small, the layout was very efficient. I was surprised they even managed to fit a bathtub and had a separate wet/dry area in such a small space – only in Japan/Korea! The great location meant I could pop back to the hotel to drop off my shopping, which saved a lot of time. Plus, if you cut through the Olive Young store next door, you can get to the other side of the street easily. When checking out, you can use the self-service machine on the first floor, which is super quick. Cars can pull right up to the entrance in the morning and evening. At other times, you have to walk a short distance, but overall, it's very convenient – a one-stop shop for eating, shopping, and exploring!

During this stay, we booked a triple room. Worried that the kids might roll off the beds while sleeping, we pushed two of the beds together ourselves. To our surprise, the housekeeping staff noticed this arrangement the next day during cleaning and thoughtfully changed it to a large bed sheet suitable for combined beds. This completely eliminated the gap between the two beds, so we no longer had to worry about anyone getting stuck in the middle. This thoughtful gesture from the housekeeper exceeded our expectations and the attention to detail was truly heartwarming. The original showerhead in the bathroom was a bit worn out, but after we reported it to the front desk, a maintenance person came up very quickly to replace and fix it. The water flow from the new showerhead was strong, and the response time for resolving the issue was impressive. The location offers a quiet retreat amidst the hustle and bustle—it's just a 7-8 minute walk to the main Myeongdong shopping district, and Gyeongbokgung Palace is only two or three subway stops away. There are a few convenience stores right downstairs, which is very convenient. Finally, they even helped me find my lost plush toy, and I was able to arrange a courier service for it myself. The breakfast was also good and very delicious.

Let's start with the positives, which are truly hard to ignore – the location is absolutely fantastic. It's right at the end of Myeongdong's main street, so stepping out means diving straight into the shopping crowds. To the right, you'll find the Olive Young Myeongdong flagship store, and across the street, there's Starbucks, Sushiro, and a CU convenience store. You'll never have to worry about finding late-night snacks or drinks. The hotel's public areas are also quite aesthetically pleasing. Transportation is also hassle-free. From the airport, you can take the 6015 luxury airport limousine bus directly to ”Seoul Royal Hotel/Euljiro 1-ga Station.” The stop is very close to the hotel. Just walk a few steps with your luggage, turn right at the small intersection, and walk up a slight incline for about a dozen meters, and you're there. However, a word of caution: during the peak summer season, there are a lot of people waiting for the bus. On our day, we queued outdoors for over an hour, hot and sunny, sweating non-stop. If you're traveling with elderly people or children, be prepared for this. Now, about the actual stay. The room was indeed on the smaller side, and with the summer peak season prices, the value for money wasn't great. The facilities show their age. What impacted our sleep the most was the refrigerator, which had noticeable noise. We ended up unplugging it both nights to get some peace and quiet. Also, on weekend evenings, the street music played until midnight. If you have high demands for your sleeping environment, I'd advise considering this carefully. In summary: if you're prioritizing convenient shopping and don't mind a small or dated room, spending most of your day out and just returning to sleep at night, then this place is a great fit. But if room comfort, a quiet environment, and value for money are more important to you, then you might want to compare a few more options. This is just my personal experience for your reference.

We stayed at Aloft by Marriott Myeongdong for 5 nights. The location is unbeatable - convenient 5 mins walk to the main Myeongdong shopping and eating area. Around 7 minutes walk to Lotte Department Store and Shinsegae. The staff at front desk are all very courteous and nice. The rooms are clean and tidy. One thing though they will not touch our personal things in the bathroom, such as my hair curler was laying on top of some dirty towels and upon returning to my room, my curler and the dirty towels were left at the same spot. But their service is excellent - the first night we stayed the air-con was too hot and changing the thermostat did not work. So we called reception and stated the issue. They promptly sent a technician up to help fix the air-con, which afterwards worked fine, and the rooms were cool and we all slept very well. There's not a whole lot of facilities except a small gym though. Overall, a very nice stay at this hotel where the staff are attentive and nice, and they all speak fluent English. We'd choose this hotel again on our next stay in Seoul.

Last year when I came to Seoul, I also stayed in the Mapo area, specifically at the L'Escape Hotel, which was across from the Garden Hotel. This time, when I was planning my trip to Seoul, L'Escape didn't have the room type I wanted, so I chose the Garden Hotel instead. The location of this hotel is actually excellent; the airport bus stops right outside. However, since I was trying to save money and used my climate card for the airport line, I couldn't take advantage of that convenience. My main reason for choosing it was still the Garden Hotel's location. The hotel is situated between Gongdeok Station and Mapo Station, making transportation very convenient. You can reach most major attractions and commercial areas by subway. Plus, it's not as bustling as the Myeongdong area, so it's much quieter at night. There are also plenty of dining options nearby: various coffee shops, burger joints, pork soup with rice, ginseng chicken soup, ox bone soup, Korean BBQ, sushi restaurants – basically everything you could want to eat. It's also not far from the Seoul Station City Tower. Getting to The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido is also super easy, just two subway stops away. I stayed in a deluxe double room by myself, and I found the size to be perfectly fine. The service was good too; the male receptionist during check-in was very enthusiastic and had a great attitude. I stayed for 5 days, and only one day the cleaning was finished as late as 3 PM; the other days it was done quickly. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be that the decor and furnishings definitely reflect the style of an older star-rated hotel, unlike the more modern L'Escape. There's also a restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, but with so many dining options around, I didn't end up going there.

The hotel's location is great. Exit 10 of Myeongdong Station is the closest, and Exit 4 has an elevator, which is convenient for luggage. The airport bus also goes directly there, and it's about a 3-5 minute walk from the stop. The hotel is close to Shinsegae Duty Free, while Lotte Duty Free is about a 12-minute walk away. Just across the street is the Myeongdong shopping area. The room is quite spacious; you can open two large suitcases at the same time. There's a fridge, kettle, and other amenities, but you need to bring your own toiletries. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, which is a big plus. You can see N Seoul Tower from the hotel's rooftop, but unfortunately, it rained for two days. The rooftop spa can be booked in advance, perfect for relaxing after a day of shopping. There are coin-operated washing machines and dryers on B1, and ironing is self-service, which is quite convenient.

I booked this room for 2300 a night with a friend. I saw some bloggers on Xiaohongshu saying the rooms were small and the ceilings were low, but honestly, it wasn't too bad (maybe because it was my first time staying at a 5-star hotel, so I don't know how good other 5-stars are). I'd recommend booking an afternoon tea on Naver. After checking in, change and enjoy afternoon tea. In the evening, the lobby has a total old money vibe, perfect for photos. If you're only staying one night, I highly recommend it, especially if you can get a good price! We originally booked a room with a regular view, but the front desk offered us a Namsan view room, though it was next to the elevator. They asked if we were okay with it, and we immediately said yes. However, if you're a light sleeper, definitely don't agree to it, because from around 6 AM onwards, you can hear the elevator going up and down.

I chose the hotel in Yeouido as my first stop for this trip because I wanted to see the Pompidou exhibition. At first, I thought it was bustling due to a celebrity concert, but then I realized it coincided with Korea's 'Constitution Day,' which explained the slight increase in room rates. The hotel opened in 2012, so it feels quite dated overall, but the service is absolutely top-notch. The coffee on the first floor of the hotel is pretty mediocre; if you're a coffee lover, I'd recommend heading to the basement of the Hyundai Department Store across the street, where you'll find three of Seoul's most popular cafes. The gym is on the 8th floor; the equipment is decent, but nothing extraordinary.

The room was great, located on the 23rd floor with a stunning lake view. When I booked, I selected a three-person meal option for two adults and one child. The price for a two-person meal and a three-person meal was different at the time of booking. However, upon arrival, the hotel informed me that one of the meals in my three-person package was a complimentary children's meal. Since my child is 13 years old, exceeding the 12-year age limit, they were not eligible for the free buffet breakfast, and I was asked to pay. To avoid disrupting our travel plans and mood, I paid for the meal. However, I find this explanation completely unacceptable. I purchased a three-person meal package, but at the hotel, it was treated as if I bought two meals and received one free. If I had known it was a complimentary meal from the hotel, why would I not just book the two-person meal package and save some money?! I urge Trip.com and the hotel to communicate and provide a satisfactory resolution.

I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Josun, Seoul Myeongdong for one night before flying out of ICN. My only requirement was that the hotel have easy access to the airport limousine route. While there is a stop a few steps from the hotel, we found that, given the time of our flight the following morning, we ultimately needed to use a different stop. We trekked the extra 10 minutes in the morning with our luggage, which was less than ideal, but ultimately worked out fine. The hotel was easy to access, tucked into a quiet corner of Myeongdong. While we arrived quite late in the evening, the staff was glad to receive us. The check-in instructions were simple and easy. We received a room on the 20th (I think) floor with a lovely view of the city. It was clean and well-appointed with space for four suitcases, which was necessary as we prepared to depart Korea with many new purchases.
