Mondrian Seoul Itaewon

I was so looking forward to stay with Mondrian but was truly disappointed. First of all, the room is very dusty, it triggered my allergic reaction and can’t sleep well at night. Secondly, the room is so hot! It was so hot that it woke me up in the middle of the night, I had no choice but to call the service counter to see if they could fix my aircon, and I was told that because it’s winder and so they dis not turn on the aircon for all the rooms. The only solution from time is to offer me fan and open the window. Thirdly, the lift takes really long time to come. I wasn’t the only customer who complained about this, but happen to be waiting with other group and they complain about the same thing as well. There was once I had to carry my luggage down the stairs because the lift is taking forever to come and we were rushing. Last but not least, they did not top up my coffee capsules! There are no complementary snacks upon check in as well, certainly do not expect this from a 5 stars hotel.

Mondrian Seoul Itaewon was such a great surprise. The design of the hotel is stunning — every corner feels thoughtfully curated and different from the usual hotel experience. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed, and the overall experience feels very premium without being too formal. Everything from the rooms to the common areas has a cool, modern edge that we really enjoyed. Definitely a perfect spot if you’re looking for a hotel with personality in Seoul. Would happily come back.

I was told I was unable to control the air-conditioning as it is a central unit. As such, to cool down the room, I had to open the windows. There are constructions happening outside hence noise travels in if the windows are open. Shower rwater leaks into the room - utter design failure. Honestly, better off somrwhere else.

Very beautiful hotel. Greeted by staffs who helped open the car door, and get your bags and luggage to the check in counter every day! Only bummer was at check out timing is 11am, we tried asking for later check out timing during check-in and was told hotel is full. Managed to get a late check out of 12pm when we tried again the night before leaving the hotel. Hotel has a little mall,a coffee bean, CU, some expensive restaurants. It also has a sauna (30K won per pax), 1 hot and cold tub and one sauna room. Room amenities can be requested via the web app in your room. Rooms were very modern, however Water from the shower does flood the dry toilet area a little. Generally a great stay.

It’s a lovely hotel with good facilities and excellent staff and housekeeping. But the location is not ideal if you’re in town for sightseeing. It’s easily “fixed” by just taking an Uber everywhere (cheap and very quick) but you do feel very removed from any area of Seoul that you’d want to visit as a tourist. That said, I loved the local shops and cafes and the bakery in the mall beneath the hotel. I had a perfectly good time here and if you’re happy to Uber to town rather than walk, the hotel is a good choice.

I made a separate booking to extend my stay, and the hotel was able to keep me in the same room. Not having to change rooms made everything so much easier, and I really appreciated the extra effort from the team. Friendly staff, a comfortable room, and another enjoyable stay at Mondrian Seoul.

The Hotel was nice. During the day there was loud music from the pool club but it was quiet during the night. Rooms are very small and there is no real bathroom. It’s very clean. Thank you
