The cherry blossoms start blooming in the southern areas of the city first and gradually move northward. By the last week of March, you can expect the blossoms to begin appearing, with early April being the peak time for full bloom.
The official 2025 cherry blossom forecast in South Korea hasn’t been released yet, but based on past trends, we can look to 2024 as a helpful reference. In 2024, the cherry blossoms began blooming in Seogwipo (Jeju Island) around 24 March, and by 3 April, they reached Seoul. The full bloom hit around 10 April in Seoul.
For 2025, stay tuned for the official predictions. As always, it's a good idea to monitor the forecast closer to your travel dates to catch the cherry blossoms at their best!
