As a frequent business traveler to Guangzhou, the Jianguo Hotel is always my go-to. I genuinely recommend it to all business travelers – it's my absolute must-stay whenever I'm in Guangzhou! The location is unbeatable, right next to Guangzhou East Railway Station and a subway entrance, making commutes to Shenzhen and Hong Kong, or getting around the city's various business districts, incredibly convenient. There are plenty of malls and restaurants nearby, so all your dining and shopping needs are easily met. The hotel's service is meticulous and thoughtful; the front desk and dining staff are always responsive. The rooms are quiet and tidy, perfect for both working and resting, making for an excellent business trip experience. The biggest surprise, though, was the hotel breakfast. It used to be over a hundred RMB per person, but now it's only 58 RMB – incredible value for money! The variety of food is extensive, with a dedicated whole-grain section featuring corn, sweet potatoes, and various whole-grain pastries. They also offer a wide selection of freshly baked bread, Cantonese dim sum, made-to-order noodles, fresh fruits, and a range of teas and coffees. Whether you're looking for something light and healthy or a hearty meal, they've got you covered. A good breakfast before meeting clients really energizes you for the whole day. Considering the location, service, and dining, this hotel is my top choice for business trips. I'll definitely be staying at Jianguo Hotel on all my future visits to Guangzhou!

We booked this hotel specifically for the 40th-floor kids' club, but it turned out to be a bit of a letdown. We came to Guangzhou with our child, and after seeing many reviews praising the Westin's indoor kids' club on the 40th floor, we decided to stay here. Unfortunately, the kids' club was quite disappointing – there was a strong, pungent smell inside. I'm not sure if it's been recently renovated, but even as an adult, I felt a bit dizzy after a few minutes, let alone letting my child play in there. On top of that, it only opens at 12 PM daily, and there wasn't a single staff member in sight, which honestly made me a bit uneasy. However, putting the kids' club aside, the rest of the hotel was excellent. Our stay on the executive floor was very satisfying, with attentive service. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, with plenty of options for both adults and children. The location is also very convenient, close to shopping and dining. While the heated pool isn't huge, the water temperature was comfortable and perfectly adequate for children to splash around in. Overall, if you're booking this hotel solely for the kids' club, like we did, you might want to reconsider. I hope the hotel addresses the indoor air quality issue, as health and safety are paramount when traveling with children. However, if you're here for a business trip or prioritize the executive benefits, this hotel is definitely worth staying at.

Oakwood Premier is extremely convenient - just one metro station ride on Line 1 from Guangzhou East rail station, and <10 mins walk from Exit A. The check in, restaurant and housekeeping staff members are courteous and responsive to our needs - extra towels, restaurant bookings etc. It is a welcoming change from other hotel chains in other countries which we experienced lately. The room is clean and spacious. There is however too many furniture (probably due to accommodating long term guests who need plenty of storage). Less furniture would be ideal with more walking space and effective opening of doors, eg bedroom door, if open, will block access to the wardrobe door. The breakfast buffet spread is sufficient - Chinese and western dishes. The dining room is huge, bright and spacious with large windows. The F&B knowledge could be improved though eg having available the appropriate condiments with the buffet items (calamari rings, delicious but no dips to go with), fresh waffle with no maple syrup (just 4 different fruit jams and 1 peanut butter options), crispy bacon (but not cripsy in reality), Chinese dim sum (with no chili oil/sauce, vinegar etc) at lukewarm temperature (the steaming switch was deliberately kept at OFF though I switched it to ON several times.) We will be back though. The value is in the location, clean and spacious room. Not the food.

I've stayed at many hotels, and this Sofitel stay easily makes it into my top three. It's not about how luxurious it is, but rather how effortless and comfortable the stay felt. The room layout was well-designed, the light switches and outlets were conveniently placed, and the bathroom towels were thick and absorbent – getting these details right really makes a difference to the experience. For service, Dion and Mia💖🍥 truly stood out. When I checked in, I mentioned that I'm a light sleeper and sensitive to noise. They immediately checked room availability and switched me to an inner-facing room. As expected, I slept wonderfully those two nights, with absolutely no noise. Dion even messaged me after I checked out to say I'm welcome back anytime and to contact them in advance if I have any special requests. Their attentiveness in listening to guests' needs and then following through is truly rare and commendable. Five-star rating, well-deserved.

The front desk upgraded me to a Kapok Suite, which made the experience even better! The entire hotel feels like a classic museum, a true grand garden. There are many dining options, including the Waterfall Restaurant on the 1st floor, Taoyuan Pavilion and Ming Shi Court on the 2nd floor, and the revolving restaurant on the 30th floor (where you can see Canton Tower). Our package included the buffet at the 30th-floor revolving restaurant and dim sum breakfast at Taoyuan Pavilion on the 2nd floor. The view from the 30th-floor restaurant is fantastic! It's a shame it was typhoon weather during my visit; I definitely need to go back on a clear, sunny day next time. The dim sum breakfast was also delicious, and the small dishes were exquisite. The hotel hosts many international guests, and every staff member serves with a smile – it truly is a classic, international-standard 'Old Canton' hotel. Excellent value!

The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and dining options nearby. It's very close to Jinan University's Shipai Campus, which was a huge plus for my child who was taking an exam – they could walk back and forth quickly. The hotel management is also top-notch; all the staff were exceptionally polite and enthusiastic. Everything from cleanliness to dining was great. They were very thoughtful in accommodating exam candidates and their parents. Highly recommend.

Decided to stay at a 5* hotel as it was my birthday. Room was smaller than expected and the check in lady said room was upgraded which didn’t appear to be as room appeared to be basic. As it was my bday i asked the hotel if they had anything complimentary for someone celebrating their bday to which she said fruit platter then added some dim sum..acceptable but would be nice if they arranged without me asking. Hotel is a bit old and they were renovating so very noisy during day. The breakfast was very good as had good variety of food. Location is also convenient as 2 mins from metro. Reception is big but not enough seats All in all would hv expected something more for a 5* hotel

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprise Suite Upgrade! Absolutely Perfect Experience! My stay at China Hotel Guangzhou this time was such a pleasant surprise! I originally booked a standard room, but to my delight, our customer manager Sandy thoughtfully upgraded us to a suite for free 🏠! The space was huge, offering plenty of room to move around, and having a separate living room and bedroom meant we didn't disturb each other's schedules – absolutely ideal for a family trip! The room had an expansive view, and the floor-to-ceiling windows provided excellent natural light ☀️. The food street on the first floor is also a must-visit; the bamboo pole noodles were perfectly springy, and the winter melon and fish porridge was delightfully fresh and sweet. It was both convenient and authentic dining. The hotel's location right by the subway entrance made getting around incredibly easy. Sandy's service was truly impeccable, attentive, and incredibly warm-hearted ❤️. Next time I'm in Guangzhou, I'm definitely staying here and asking for Sandy!

Had a really pleasant stay. It's not far from the terminal, and the shuttle service was a thoughtful touch. The soundproofing was excellent; I didn't hear any airplane noise at 9 AM. The breakfast was a great spread, with both Western and Chinese options. Ms. D at the front desk was very welcoming.

I've stayed at Sanying many times; it's a well-established hot spring hotel. The buffet dinner offers great value for money and is definitely worth it! Breakfast also has a wide variety, meeting five-star hotel standards! After a hike, soaking in the hot springs with the family is always a joy. The surrounding amenities are also getting better and better. I'll definitely be back!

Decided to take a spontaneous trip during the May Day holiday and looked into nearby resorts. Mulian Zhuang came highly recommended for its overall value for money, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived on the afternoon of the 30th, which helped us avoid the peak rush. From the parking attendant to the front desk staff and the shuttle bus driver, everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. The front desk kindly upgraded our room to one by the lake, which was incredibly comfortable and offered a more peaceful environment. The first day was a bit chilly, but lying on the balcony deckchair, listening to the birds and the sound of the water, was incredibly relaxing. It really helped us achieve our vacation goals, haha! The hotel itself is designed like a garden, with rooms scattered across the hillside, connected by small paths. This layout ensures minimal disturbance between guests. Taking a leisurely stroll around is lovely, and if you don't feel like walking, you can always 'call' for the park shuttle, which is very convenient. If you're looking for peace and quiet, soaking in the hot springs or swimming here are excellent choices. I was so engrossed in the scenery that I barely took any photos!

I stumbled upon this hotel online, and it's not too far from Guangzhou. When I booked, I mentioned it was for a birthday, and they were thoughtful enough to arrange some birthday decorations. I think both the service and the room were quite good. The environment is also lovely, with a large green area and fresh air, a nice escape from the city bustle, which is very relaxing. My main critique is that the food needs improvement, and the hot spring pools too – there were too many leaves and no one seemed to be clearing them out. The experience wasn't great. I hope the hotel can improve these aspects to make it even more perfect.

This was my first time staying in the main building, and overall it was a good experience. The room service was very attentive and friendly. The only downside was that half of the sixth floor was under renovation. We were staying on the other side of the sixth floor, so there was a bit of noise, but we spent most of our time in the hot spring area, so it didn't bother us much. A special shout-out: it happened to be my birthday during this stay! The front desk staff noticed when I checked in and specially arranged for a birthday cake. When we went to eat at the German Beer Plaza, we were surprised with longevity noodles and a fruit platter. I also received gifts of mugwort, a mugwort hammer, and a steam eye mask. It was truly full of surprises and made me feel so special! I've been to Bishuiwan several times now, and I'm always drawn back by the hotel's warm service. The food at both restaurants is delicious, and every visit leaves me feeling completely relaxed. I'll definitely be back again, and I'm looking forward to seeing the upgraded rooms after the renovation!

The hotel and the location are outstanding. Just a remark about the buffet at night and the breakfast, the food is too local for this kind of hotel rate. for that night price (1200+ RMB), I would appreciate a more ”fresh” night buffet” and a more balanced ” asian / foreigner breakfast”. coffee is good, juice is processed, asian food is like an average buffet, foreigner side has just basic bread. If you're looking to stay in this very nice hotel, just eat outside. Hot spring is also very nice, many choice of pools.

The environment here is consistently excellent, and the location is superb. It's right near the subway station, making it incredibly convenient to get to Tianhuan, Tianhe Sports Center, and Guangzhou East Railway Station. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I particularly love spending my Guangzhou weekends here. I was on a non-smoking floor, so the air was fresh with no strange odors. The sheets were clearly fresh and clean; I'm quite picky and sensitive about beds, but I've slept here so many times and it's always been great.

The room was excellent, with a good amount of space. The front desk upgraded us to a high-floor smart room, which was spotlessly clean. The disposable amenities were a bit basic but covered the essentials, and the toiletries for washing and showering were of good quality. The service was also great; perhaps because of the high temperatures during the day, the hotel even provided herbal tea to every guest, which was very much appreciated! Although this hotel is rated 4-star, I felt it was better than some 5-star hotels in Guangzhou. The breakfast and lunch offerings were both very good, and there's even morning tea available on the top floor. We didn't even need to go out for food during this trip to Guangzhou, as we could enjoy authentic local cuisine right in the hotel. It offered incredible value for money and was a really fantastic experience.

The hotel is wow! They have free transportation from terminals. If you arrived at terminal 2, after passing passport control, go to the second floor to departure hall and find exit 46. The bus from the hotel will pick you up right there, outside the exit. Reception guys are very helpful, they helped with your luggage and anything you need. The room itself is very spacious. The floor in the room is so soft, like a cloud! The bed is very comfortable, pillows just amazing! The bath robe is so soft, double layered, I loved it. All you need you have in a room. Only one thing can be improved, could be nice if there would be face wash and face lotion at least. Overall, very pleasant stopover experience. Would book again for longer stopover to discover hotel’s spa and restaurant.

Absolutely top. My first experience with the Rosewood brand. The service was incredibly proactive and the staff were wonderfully kind. Well worth the money. Reminded me a lot of the Mandarin Oriental. My son Sandy and I stayed on the 97th floor (and yes, that’s the real number. The do not skip floors like 4, 14, 94, etc.). The highest I’ve ever stayed in my life. The hotel sits in Guangzhou’s tallest skyscraper, right in the financial district. Right next to the lobby, there’s a lovely sky terrace perfect for a few cigarettes. I will put it in my CTrip favourites.

The hotel staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, and they even upgraded my room. The room itself was fantastic with a great view, and the bathrobe was quite comfortable. There were a couple of minor issues I brought to the attention of the front desk that could be improved. Also, the room's buttons and lighting might need a bit more maintenance; it could get a bit dim at night, which might not be ideal for some business travelers. On a positive note, the breakfast was very generous.

No frills, just beautiful scenery at every turn, adorned with pink or purple flowers. There's no revolving door, but someone always opens the door for you when you come and go. There are always staff guiding you to the elevator, and someone to help with your luggage, open car doors, and handle bags. The pool has three lifeguards, and drinks and water are complimentary. Towels are UV-sterilized and handed directly to you. In the evenings, turndown service is completed, and breakfast tags are neatly placed. You'll never see anyone walking around in slippers because the guest room notice prohibits it in public areas. Everything is service-oriented. Next time, I'll still choose The Ritz-Carlton. It's well worth the money. A good brand hotel should absolutely avoid becoming a family resort; it ruins everything! However, the soundproofing of the room door is lacking, and the noise from guests entering and exiting the adjacent room in the morning can be quite loud.

It's true what they say: no comparison, no harm. My family always used to book Hilton for me, but this time they told me to try something new, so I only booked one core hotel, and it turned out to be a Wyndham. Hilton's quality is consistently good; the Hilton in this area even has more spacious rooms than others, and the service is quite good. However, Wyndham's quality really varies. The Wyndham I stayed at in Qingyuan, Lianzhu, was excellent, but the one in Panyu felt pretty average. Next time, I'll stick with Hilton. It offers great value for money, and while it might not be a high-star hotel, the quality is definitely up to a certain standard, and the breakfast is also quite standard.
