🌟 I highly recommend the Jianguo Hotel Guangzhou! It's perfect whether you're here for business or leisure. The location is a huge advantage – it's very close to Guangzhou East Railway Station, within walking distance, and super convenient for getting around by subway. This saves a lot of time, whether you're running errands or catching a high-speed train, without having to rush back and forth. The room was very clean, and the bedding was comfortable, allowing for a good night's rest. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in/check-out was efficient. The biggest surprise was the Chinese restaurant on the fourth floor; the Cantonese dim sum was delicious and authentically 'old Guangzhou' style. You don't have to specially go out and queue at other tea houses; you can enjoy high-quality Cantonese dim sum right here at the hotel. It's suitable for a solo meal or a casual gathering with friends. Having dining and accommodation in one place is very convenient, fitting for both business and leisure travelers. Next time I'm in Guangzhou, I'll definitely prioritize staying here again. I truly recommend it to anyone traveling.

We booked this hotel specifically for the 40th-floor kids' club, but it turned out to be a bit of a letdown. We came to Guangzhou with our child, and after seeing many reviews praising the Westin's indoor kids' club on the 40th floor, we decided to stay here. Unfortunately, the kids' club was quite disappointing – there was a strong, pungent smell inside. I'm not sure if it's been recently renovated, but even as an adult, I felt a bit dizzy after a few minutes, let alone letting my child play in there. On top of that, it only opens at 12 PM daily, and there wasn't a single staff member in sight, which honestly made me a bit uneasy. However, putting the kids' club aside, the rest of the hotel was excellent. Our stay on the executive floor was very satisfying, with attentive service. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, with plenty of options for both adults and children. The location is also very convenient, close to shopping and dining. While the heated pool isn't huge, the water temperature was comfortable and perfectly adequate for children to splash around in. Overall, if you're booking this hotel solely for the kids' club, like we did, you might want to reconsider. I hope the hotel addresses the indoor air quality issue, as health and safety are paramount when traveling with children. However, if you're here for a business trip or prioritize the executive benefits, this hotel is definitely worth staying at.

Plus, the gym is open 24/7, which is perfect for anyone who's disciplined about their workouts! The front desk staff were really quick with check-in, and when I asked about the surrounding area, they patiently answered all my questions. The overall service was meticulous and thoughtful. The hotel is located at a very central area in Tianhe, and next to Zhengjia Mall. Service was excellent except for lobby staff constantly asking me to upgrade my room. I realised the next day there was renovation ongoing 2 levels above my room, but I still do not want to pay extra. The noise is not bothering me as much as the “upgrade offer”

My business trip stay was excellent this time. The front desk staff were efficient during check-in, and MIA HUANG was particularly warm, attentive, and polite with a gentle demeanor. The room was clean and tidy, with no strange odors, soft bedding, and excellent soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The Wi-Fi speed was fast, and there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom. The surrounding area offers convenient dining and transportation options. Overall, it's great value for money, and I will definitely prioritize staying here again for my next business trip. The hotel provides thoughtful service, a clean and comfortable environment, and high value for money; I'm very satisfied. My overall stay exceeded expectations. The room was simple yet elegant, with instant hot water available at all times. They offer free luggage storage, and the hallway is quiet and not noisy. Last August, I stayed at this hotel when I came to see my favorite singer's birthday celebration. I remember saying then that if I ever returned to Guangzhou, I would definitely book this hotel again. And here I am, back in July! The service is as attentive as ever; the front desk staff are incredibly friendly, and the room is spotless, cozy, and comfortable. The view from the window is fantastic. The hotel's washing machines and dryers are also very convenient to use. This time, I explored more of the dining options around the hotel. There's a dim sum restaurant called Luyun Tea House in Zhengjia Plaza right next to the hotel, and their dim sum is delicious. Plus, there's a convenience store downstairs, which is super handy for grabbing things. Getting to Canton Tower is a breeze – just two or three stops on Metro Line 3. It's also quick and easy to reach attractions like Yongqing Fang and Shamian Island, taking only a few tens of minutes. If I get the chance to visit Guangzhou again, I'll definitely be back! 🩷

The location is an absolute winner! The hotel has direct access to TeeMall, and it's within walking distance to Parc Central and Grandview Mall. The Sports West Road subway station is also very close, so you can shop and find food without enduring the elements – super convenient for getting around. Check-in was very efficient, and the front desk staff were pleasant and easy to communicate with. The room was spacious with large windows offering expansive views. The mattress was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a great night's rest after a day of exploring. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the hot water was stable, and the cleaning was meticulous, leaving it spotless and odor-free. Amenities are comprehensive; the heated pool and gym were both fully operational. What's more, you can store your luggage for free after check-out, which is a thoughtful touch, allowing us to pick it up after we'd finished exploring the shopping districts. This established five-star hotel truly delivers on reliability. It's suitable for both business trips and leisure travel/food adventures. Facilities: Well-equipped, American-style decor, everything is online and timeless. Hygiene: Established cleanliness, but details like table corners could use more attention. Environment: You can shop, eat, drink, play, and visit a museum all within the hotel. Service: Everyone is on point, and the switchboard processes calls immediately. As the only national brand among China's three platinum five-star hotels, it boasts unique historical and cultural elements, and is a symbol of China's reform and opening-up. Its history and ethos are evident. My first impression during check-in was that everyone was very busy; while check-in was slow, the staff were very pleasant. As a Lingkehui Gold Card member, in addition to a room upgrade, I also received complimentary breakfast and executive lounge access. If room availability allows, late checkout until 2 PM is possible. The hotel has a very high occupancy rate, with many foreign guests and airline crew. There might be some communication gaps between departments like housekeeping and restaurants. This time, my Deluxe King room was upgraded to a Red Kapok King Suite. The room, being older, combined with ongoing government construction nearby, meant the soundproofing was a bit lacking. The extra bed was too soft and a bit uncomfortable, and some other hardware in the room was a bit dated, but it didn't detract too much from the stay. On the first floor, there's an outdoor back garden with a small waterfall, both popular photo spots. I saw many people taking pictures, it was lively. The ornamental fish in the pond were huge. On the 4th floor, there's a free, public Garden Hotel Museum (closed Mondays), which is well worth a visit, explaining the development history of various hotels and just how amazing Garden Hotel is. You really must spend some time exploring it. The gym (well-equipped) and outdoor swimming pool (not heated) are on the other side of the 4th floor, with two squash courts (reservation required). All hotel signage is in Chinese, English, and Japanese. There's currently construction outside the hotel (the typical 'dong dong dong' sound of Guangzhou)... You really should experience our Garden Hotel with its Lingnan characteristics.

During the summer holiday, my family and kids came back to Guangzhou for a visit, and we booked two rooms at the Guangzhou Baiyun Hotel this time. My family and the two children stayed in a twin room on the 25th floor. The kids are late sleepers and often don't wake up until noon, which affected the floor attendant's ability to clean the room. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprise Suite Upgrade! Absolutely Perfect Experience! My stay at China Hotel Guangzhou this time was such a pleasant surprise! I originally booked a standard room, but to my delight, our customer manager Sandy thoughtfully upgraded us to a suite for free 🏠! The space was huge, offering plenty of room to move around, and having a separate living room and bedroom meant we didn't disturb each other's schedules – absolutely ideal for a family trip! The room had an expansive view, and the floor-to-ceiling windows provided excellent natural light ☀️. The food street on the first floor is also a must-visit; the bamboo pole noodles were perfectly springy, and the winter melon and fish porridge was delightfully fresh and sweet. It was both convenient and authentic dining. The hotel's location right by the subway entrance made getting around incredibly easy. Decided to take a spontaneous trip during the May Day holiday and looked into nearby resorts. Mulian Zhuang came highly recommended for its overall value for money, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived on the afternoon of the 30th, which helped us avoid the peak rush. From the parking attendant to the front desk staff and the shuttle bus driver, everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. The front desk kindly upgraded our room to one by the lake, which was incredibly comfortable and offered a more peaceful environment. The first day was a bit chilly, but lying on the balcony deckchair, listening to the birds and the sound of the water, was incredibly relaxing. It really helped us achieve our vacation goals, haha! The hotel itself is designed like a garden, with rooms scattered across the hillside, connected by small paths. This layout ensures minimal disturbance between guests. Taking a leisurely stroll around is lovely, and if you don't feel like walking, you can always 'call' for the park shuttle, which is very convenient. If you're looking for peace and quiet, soaking in the hot springs or swimming here are excellent choices. I was so engrossed in the scenery that I barely took any photos!

Highly, highly, highly recommended!!! This is a Thai-style hotel. I read reviews for so many hotels before booking this one, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Even my two elderly family members raved about it! Every customer service agent, the buggy drivers, and the servers were all incredibly polite and enthusiastic! The 24-hour service was super responsive, and the service attitude was consistently excellent, day or night – it made us feel very comfortable. On the day of check-in, the hotel was fully booked, and the two room types I booked were a bit far apart. The lake view room wasn't ready until 4 PM. After discussing it with them, the hotel manager and a customer service agent worked hard to get us an upgrade to a villa, and they even added an extra bed for free, which made us so happy! The hot springs inside are very comfortable and smell wonderful, offering great privacy. Even though it was fully booked that day, there were enough pools that each family could pretty much enjoy one to themselves, which was fantastic. Many thanks to the hotel for their arrangements. Everyone in my family said we need to arrange another trip here.

My room was a luxurious suite with private bath tub (around hkd 3000 for two nights including breakfast). Hardware is definitely exceptional. However when it comes to service it is below standard: 1) front desk - service was poor without any greetings such as bell boy. Front desk officers were unhappy without any eye contact when they talk to you. No hospitality at all; 2) breakfast - the quality both food and service were not up to a 4 or 5 star service. Table was not clean, staffs were almost unfriendly, except one female manager and one staff, all staffs were rushing their task and unwelcoming. I believe the hotel management need to motivate their staff ,otherwise, people won’t come again. 3) Amnenties - room is a luxurious suite with private bath tub, massage chair, kitchen , dining table and queen bed. The tub was not very clean, with water splitting . Such a waste as their service was not meeting the standard of what it is expected to be a 5- star resort. (The environment, garden were nicely decorated indeed) The Hot Spring pool is well known but I have’s try so cannot comment. I won’t come to this resort again, if the service of the hotel haven’t improved. And I won’t recommend travelers with kids who is looking for a family friendly and good service resort. P.S.: Parking spaces were spacious and free

It’s clean and has all the amenities that you could want. There is a cute robot that delivers food directly to your room when you order online food delivery as well. The front desk was very helpful. They offered us a free upgrade on our second stay when they saw we needed more room from all our shopping 🫢. They also helped to collect online shopping packages so you can enjoy Taobao. And they extended our checkout time when we could not pack our luggage in time 🥲. Guangzhou is a great place to fly into to see the rest of China like ZhangJiaJie or Guilin and this is definitely not the last time that we stay in this hotel. Wholly recommend.

The hotel is well-equipped with a pool, gym, and dining options. The service is excellent, and both the lobby and rooms have air conditioning that keeps them sufficiently cool. It's conveniently located near the Ouzhuang subway station (Lines 5 and 6) and Taojin station (Line 5), just a few minutes' walk away. Parking is also easy and quick.

My business trip happened to coincide with the hotel's Qixi (Chinese Valentine's Day) DIY sachet event, which really set a wonderful atmosphere. I got to make a sachet to take home and also received a small aroma diffuser – such thoughtful little details! The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the service was excellent. Its proximity to the airport made travel very convenient. It was a lovely little highlight during a busy trip, definitely recommend!

The hotel is wow! They have free transportation from terminals. If you arrived at terminal 2, after passing passport control, go to the second floor to departure hall and find exit 46. The bus from the hotel will pick you up right there, outside the exit. Reception guys are very helpful, they helped with your luggage and anything you need. The room itself is very spacious. The floor in the room is so soft, like a cloud! The bed is very comfortable, pillows just amazing! The bath robe is so soft, double layered, I loved it. All you need you have in a room. Only one thing can be improved, could be nice if there would be face wash and face lotion at least. Overall, very pleasant stopover experience. Would book again for longer stopover to discover hotel’s spa and restaurant.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in the best way! They contacted me a day in advance to ask about any requests. When they found out it was my birthday, they quietly prepared a surprise. April, the front desk agent, was so sweet and spoke with such a gentle tone during check-in. She noticed I had a child with me and thoughtfully provided all the amenities kids might need. A special thanks also goes to Supervisor Super Wang! The newly renovated room had absolutely no strange odors, featured a comfortable Chinese-style design, and felt incredibly spacious, making us feel right at home. We even received a box of milk daily. We had just come from the Park Hyatt, and while I don't want to disparage it, if your budget allows, I highly recommend staying at the Four Seasons – it surpasses the Park Hyatt in terms of service, ambiance, and dining!

I was in Guangzhou for a business trip and decided to extend my stay by a day for a 'staycation.' I deliberated between the Four Seasons and the Rosewood for a long time, ultimately choosing the Rosewood. To sum it up: it impressed me greatly, but it wasn't perfect. Upon check-in, driving up the slope next to K11, you enter a grand, distinctly Lingnan-style luxurious mansion. Check-in is on the 95th floor. The greeter helped us with our luggage. The front desk kindly upgraded our room (a big plus for this, much better than the stingy no-upgrades policy at Grand Hyatt, Park Hyatt, and most Hyatt chain hotels, which I appreciate). The lobby's decor was stunning. Entering the room, you're greeted by an entryway. The arrangement of various utensils and beverages on the coffee bar was unlike anything I'd seen in other hotels; the hotel's aesthetic sense must be incredibly high. What truly amazed me was the presence of traditional Chinese items like calligraphy brushes on the room's desk. This Lingnan and Chinese-inspired design really resonated with me. The biggest advantage of a high-rise hotel is the breathtaking view. Coincidentally, it didn't rain that day, though it had been intermittently raining for the two days prior. So, from the window that evening, I could overlook all of Guangdong, and that blue hour was something I absolutely adored. (I have to commend them here: the biggest fear in high-rise hotels is dirty windows, but the Rosewood's glass was sparkling clean. This shows the hotel's respect and sincerity towards the guest experience. 🥰) Another thing I particularly loved was the hotel's pool, which offers a direct view of the Canton Tower, and the massage pool—it's indescribably beautiful! The one thing I absolutely must praise is this: for smokers like us, a high-rise hotel can be a hassle because no one wants to keep switching elevators just for a cigarette. The Rosewood's solution was to create a sort of high-altitude bar on the 95th floor, allowing smoking in the open-air bar there, which saved us a tremendous amount of trouble! 😆 Another praise-worthy aspect is the hotel's amenities. From the bedding to the shampoo and shower gel, and even the Bose sound system, everything is top-notch. Most luxury hotels don't even provide speakers, or they use old, generic brands. When it comes to hotel provisions, the Rosewood is incredibly thoughtful. Now that I've covered the pros, let's talk about the cons of the Rosewood. First, there's no butler service, and response efficiency is slow. Whether it's from Ctrip reviews or other platforms, or even considering the price point of 3k and above, a hotel at this level should absolutely provide a private butler to pre-arrange everything. During my stay, there was no butler to add on WeChat, calling for luggage delivery was slow to respond, and there wasn't even the usual pre-check-in phone call the day before. Everything felt very 'last minute,' which made me feel a lack of hotel service. In my understanding, hotels above 1.5k, and even some around 1k in mainland China, would make a pre-check-in call to inquire about room preferences and make preparations. They should also have a private butler to add on WeChat. Second, and this really annoyed me, although the hotel's late check-out time is 2 PM, for a luxury hotel, checking out at 3 PM or 4 PM should be quite common. The hotel called at noon, then at 1 PM, then at 2 PM, and then every ten minutes or so after that, urging us to check out. Eventually, hotel housekeeping staff even directly entered the room to hurry us along. (I don't know why—they knocked twice, and we clearly stated we didn't need them to come in as we were packing, but they still entered to check, then immediately exited. I don't know if the hotel's soundproofing is too good or what.) Despite the comfortable bedding and a good night's sleep, being repeatedly woken up from a hazy sleep by phone calls is something that genuinely infuriated me. (P.S.: When checking out at 3 PM, the duty manager personally handled it. After I explained the situation, they sincerely apologized to me, maintaining a gentle and respectful demeanor throughout.) Overall, the Rosewood hotel's advantages are very clear and impressive: stunning hotel design, ultimate aesthetics, panoramic views of the Lingnan city skyline, and even practical yet high-end amenities. The Rosewood is undoubtedly among the best in Guangdong, or even mainland China, with few hotels being able to compare. If you're seeking aesthetics and privacy, the Rosewood hotel is an absolutely perfect choice. Of course, the drawbacks are also obvious: the service attitude is lax and completely unworthy of the price. 🥲 That single floor-to-ceiling sky-view window alone could command prices upwards of 3k, but the significant drop in service makes me feel it doesn't quite meet the threshold of ultra-luxury. However, the hotel's official sincere apology for the service oversight did make me feel somewhat pleased. I hope the hotel can pay more attention to service attitude and quality, striving to completely avoid such lax service. I look forward to a different experience on my next stay, aiming for a level of service that matches the impressive design. If that happens, the Guangzhou Rosewood truly would be perfect.

As someone who rarely leaves reviews, Shangri-La truly deserves a special commendation from me! It's one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. First and foremost, the service was excellent. Not only did they meet reasonable guest requests – for instance, for my birthday they provided a thoughtful and delicious cake – but I also felt genuinely respected by their service-oriented approach. Special shout-out to Lucy, Beryl, and Chloe from Guest Relations! They upgraded me to a river view room this time, and the scenery outside the window was expansive. Stepping into the room immediately felt so refreshing. One major reason I chose Shangri-La was their swimming pool. The indoor pool was clean, tidy, and quite spacious. The outdoor pool looked stunning, though unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to experience it this time. How many hotels can boast two pools? The gym was also great, and there's a tennis court that I didn't get to see. From an exercise perspective, I think Shangri-La is truly excellent!

From the moment I stepped into the Langham Place Guangzhou, I was captivated by its exquisite spatial design. The high-ceilinged lobby, with its flowing lines and soft interplay of light and shadow, and modern art accents, perfectly blends the subtle charm of Lingnan culture with the modernity of an international metropolis. Every step felt like walking through a meticulously crafted three-dimensional painting. What truly won me over was its superb location: it's incredibly close to the Pazhou International Exhibition Center, within easy walking distance. No more worrying about rush hour traffic; I could leisurely stroll to the exhibition hall right on time. The service was also incredibly heartwarming; the front desk staff's smiles were as genuine as old friends, and every request was handled with care. Even the cleaning staff I met by the elevator would greet me proactively. Breakfast was so abundant it was hard to choose – piping hot, freshly made Cantonese wonton noodles, crispy European breads, sweet fruits, and a dazzling array of both Chinese and Western options. Paired with a freshly brewed coffee, it was the perfect start to the day. After three days, every detail was just right, making this business trip, thanks to the Langham, a truly pleasant experience. It was excellent and well worth a return visit.

I was genuinely surprised by my stay at the Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou this time. I hadn't booked a suite, but they upgraded us directly to one when we checked in. My first thought upon entering was: ”It's huge!” 😂 The room was much bigger than I expected; the living room and bedroom felt incredibly spacious. It was so comfortable just staying in the hotel. But what truly left the deepest impression on me this time was the service. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming. We barely had to touch our luggage; they proactively offered to help carry it and deliver it to our room. After checking in, we received a welcome fruit platter, and everything we might need in the room was thoughtfully prepared. If we needed anything in between, a quick word to the staff brought a super-fast response. And their warmth wasn't just a formal ”Hello, how can I help you?” It was a genuine, proactive observation of whether you needed assistance. There was always someone helping us whenever we entered or left, which was something I noticed very strongly throughout our stay. While the hotel doesn't feature the trendy, new 'influencer' design you see nowadays, I actually quite like the Ritz's more classic, 'old money' aesthetic. It has a lot of quality overall, and its location right in Zhujiang New Town makes it convenient for getting around. The biggest surprise this time was definitely the suite upgrade; it was so big I almost didn't want to leave the room 😂. Coupled with the staff's service, luggage assistance, and welcome fruits, all these details made the entire stay very comfortable. If I want a comfortable stay in Guangzhou next time, I'd likely choose this place again.

This hotel is in a great location, right next to Gangding Computer City, making transportation very convenient. The hotel has a unique, retro-themed decor. The room is spacious, clean, and tidy, with modern and complete amenities (including a large TV, refrigerator, air purifier, hot shower system, smart toilet, and touch control panel). The hot shower system is excellent; you can easily control the water flow and temperature, and the water pressure is strong with plenty of hot water. The bed is very comfortable, and I slept well. The Wi-Fi speed is fast enough. Room drawbacks: no large windows; noisy air conditioning. The breakfast buffet is particularly good, with a wide selection, including various hot dishes, noodles, wontons, dumplings cooked to order, salads, pastries, desserts, fruits, drinks, and more. Overall, the stay was excellent, and it offers good value for money.

The hotel is 3 minutes from Shiqiao station. There is a bus line in front of the hotel that takes you to Shawan old town and other sites. It is across from a local mall with a lot of eateries. My only complaint is the cloth drier is hard to use without WeChat pay. Anyway, it is a good stay at this property.
