Guangzhou East Railway Station/Wushan Guangzhou|1.16km from downtown
This hotel is super convenient for catching the high-speed train to Shenzhen the next day, as it's right next to Guangzhou East Railway Station. You can walk there in 3-5 minutes from the station exit, and it's right by Metro Lines 1 and 3, making intercity travel to Shenzhen and Hong Kong incredibly easy. Plus, it's next to Oriental Plaza shopping mall, so dining and shopping are all taken care of in one spot. It's definitely a top choice for business travelers. It's an established five-star hotel with a grand and elegant lobby featuring a waterscape. Check-in was efficient, and the front desk staff were very attentive, handling luggage assistance and storage seamlessly. The room was spacious with good natural light, a soft mattress, and excellent soundproofing thanks to double-glazed windows, ensuring a quiet and peaceful night's sleep even in the bustling city. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub. The hotel amenities are comprehensive, including a Cantonese dim sum buffet restaurant, a gym, and an outdoor pool. The breakfast selection is extensive, and the value for money is among the best for five-star hotels in the East Station area. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is a bit older, and some parts of the decor show their age, but it doesn't affect the overall stay.

Had an amazing stay at The Westin Guangzhou. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. A special thank you to Connor! He was very kind and helpful. Special thanks and appreciation to the guys in the lobby, Mike, Alex, and Simon for making the experience even more memorable with their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail. They were always willing to answer questions, help order taxis and Didi rides, assist with interpretation, find the correct addresses for locations, and even help with ordering food. Their support truly made navigating Guangzhou so much easier and stress-free. The rooms were immaculate, lots of space for our luggage’s. Beautifully designed room! House keeping was always available to clean the rooms, restock the towels and every necessary supplies. The hotel lobby was elegant and welcoming, and the breakfast selection each morning was outstanding with so many fresh options. The restaurant on the 40th floor was absolutely incredible! The views, atmosphere, and food were all top tier. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations and truly made my trip to Guangzhou unforgettable. I would definitely stay here again. 10/10

Oakwood Premier is extremely convenient - just one metro station ride on Line 1 from Guangzhou East rail station, and <10 mins walk from Exit A. The check in, restaurant and housekeeping staff members are courteous and responsive to our needs - extra towels, restaurant bookings etc. It is a welcoming change from other hotel chains in other countries which we experienced lately. The room is clean and spacious. There is however too many furniture (probably due to accommodating long term guests who need plenty of storage). Less furniture would be ideal with more walking space and effective opening of doors, eg bedroom door, if open, will block access to the wardrobe door. The breakfast buffet spread is sufficient - Chinese and western dishes. The dining room is huge, bright and spacious with large windows. The F&B knowledge could be improved though eg having available the appropriate condiments with the buffet items (calamari rings, delicious but no dips to go with), fresh waffle with no maple syrup (just 4 different fruit jams and 1 peanut butter options), crispy bacon (but not cripsy in reality), Chinese dim sum (with no chili oil/sauce, vinegar etc) at lukewarm temperature (the steaming switch was deliberately kept at OFF though I switched it to ON several times.) We will be back though. The value is in the location, clean and spacious room. Not the food.

We visited Guangzhou at the very end of our two-week trip. We decided to really splurge and booked this hotel. Unfortunately, we didn't see in the hotel's terms that an astonishing 800 RMB was charged per day. This information shocked us at the front desk, especially considering how tired we were from our train journey. Thankfully, the young lady was accommodating and checked us in without a deposit. But the surprises didn't stop there. For such a room price, we expected more perks beyond just breakfast, a gym, and a pool. Regrettably, the hotel tries to squeeze even more money out of you in every other aspect. In hotels with fewer stars, laundry is always free, and they'll even dry your clothes and deliver them to your room. Not here. I wouldn't call these significant drawbacks, but it still left a bad taste, as you don't want to deal with anything extra at the end of a trip. A huge thank you to the cleaning lady on the ninth floor for her wonderful mood every day and incredible care. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful and stylish, and the room is superb. We also really enjoyed the pool and gym.

The location is fantastic, right downstairs from Zhengjia Plaza, Parc Central, and TeeMall. It's so convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around. The service was also excellent; they upgraded my room, and any missing items were promptly replenished. The swimming pool water temperature was just right. Both the front desk staff and the baggage handlers were very dedicated to their work. Breakfast was typical for a five-star hotel. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Initially stayed 1 night added extra night, very centrally located lots of restaurants near by. It shares a communal lift with another hotel, down stairs coffee station and drinks. Rooms are well kept and layout vary, liked the first room, laundry area was in the bath room to save space but worked well. Communal self service laundry facilities. Located in the office blocks, lots of taxi waiting outside, independent coffee kiosk at the ground floor entrance. Restaurant across the street open to 2 am serving chaosan cuisine, Dim sum places around the corner. Staff are nice, all foreigners will need their passports scanned or have a photo taken by their phones, apparently it will be loaded to the local police app. I was concerned why my personal details were stored on their phones as they didn’t immediately scan on the app just took a photo.

My overall experience at the Sofitel Guangzhou was really great this time, and I genuinely recommend staying here. Mia, the manager at the front desk, was very friendly and efficient with check-in. She was also very patient when answering any questions I had. The room was spotlessly clean, with no strange odors, and the bedding was soft. The soundproofing at night was excellent, allowing for a good night's rest. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the hot water came on quickly, and the toiletries were well-stocked. The hotel's location is very convenient; you don't have to walk far to find places to eat or shop. The only minor drawback was that the internet speed in the room was a bit slow, causing buffering when watching videos, but other than that, there were no complaints. Overall, it offers good value for money, making it suitable for both leisure and business travelers. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area. Having stayed in many hotels, the reassuring comfort of a long-established hotel is irreplaceable. Does anyone else understand this feeling? While luxurious star-rated hotels are comfortable and stylish, the solid, dependable feel of an older hotel is still uniquely irreplaceable. As long as it's clean, spacious, and fully functional, I still prefer older hotels.

I was extremely satisfied with my overall stay at this hotel, it definitely deserves a five-star rating. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient; it's very close to Pazhou, near Keyun Road metro station, just an 8-minute walk away, and there's a bus stop right downstairs. There are also plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. In the evenings, you can even take a walk along the Pearl River to enjoy the river views. The room decor is tasteful and elegant, with a modern minimalist style that still feels cozy. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the cleaning was very thorough, ensuring a neat and clean environment. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the chef enthusiastically recommended dishes, which showed great care. The heated pool wasn't crowded, making for a very comfortable night swim. The hotel's location, room facilities, and hygiene standards all exceeded my expectations, offering excellent value for money. I specifically chose to stay at the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou this time and experienced the full package: guest room, executive lounge, CAN guided tour, and breakfast at the Revolving Restaurant. It truly gave me a taste of what the pinnacle of hotel service in Guangzhou is like. The entire stay was comfortable and reassuring, with no unpleasant surprises, and every aspect exceeded my expectations with its generosity and thoughtfulness. Upon checking in, I had booked a basic room. I paid 20 RMB at the 'Seafood Market' (referring to a loyalty program sign-up) to get a Lingkehui Gold Card. After calling staff beforehand to link my information, I was informed I could get a free upgrade to a Kapok Suite and also receive a welcome fruit platter. It was straightforward and generous, immediately dispelling any concerns I had about formulaic service from an old-established hotel. The upgraded room was spacious, featuring a warm and elegant Lingnan-style wooden design. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all toiletries were well-stocked. On the first night, I discovered the air conditioner was leaking. After calling service, a staff member arrived within five minutes, promptly fixed the issue, and maintained a polite attitude throughout. Afterwards, the floor supervisor even called to apologize and offered a souvenir. Their immediate response to issues, without shirking responsibility or delaying, and their impressive efficiency were remarkable. The executive lounge on the 4th floor was a major highlight of this trip. During afternoon tea, pastries were continuously replenished, with a limitless supply of various savory and sweet treats. It was quiet and not crowded, perfect for a break and a chat. In the evening, happy hour offered samosas, cold cuts, creamy pasta, and small portions of hot dishes. Although it got a bit noisy during peak hours, staff were always diligent in clearing tables promptly, showing great efficiency and professionalism. The waitresses could even mix 'Cuba Libre' and 'Gin and Tonic,' and I could ask them to prepare drinks. The hotel's exclusive CAN guided tour was a unique experience. The guide led us through the gold foil murals in the lobby, the central courtyard waterfall, and the art collection, meticulously explaining the hotel's forty-plus-year history and the clever touches of Lingnan design. From the golden dragons on the ceiling to the red bridge in the courtyard, every detail had a story. The guide was patient and thorough throughout the explanation, actively stopping for guests to take photos and recommending lesser-known spots within the hotel. The tour was unhurried, and any questions were answered in detail, allowing for a deep understanding of this garden hotel hidden in the city center. The next morning, I went to the Revolving Restaurant on the 30th floor for a buffet breakfast. The 360-degree slowly rotating view offered panoramic cityscapes, with the Canton Tower visible in the distance. The food balanced Cantonese flavors with international cuisine; the freshly steamed shrimp dumplings and Jidi porridge were authentic and delicious, while Western omelets, cold cuts, fresh fruit, and baked goods were all well-stocked. Staff constantly cleared empty plates and proactively refilled drinks, and there was no long wait for window seats, creating a relaxed and pleasant dining atmosphere. From the front desk and room maintenance to executive lounge service, the CAN tour guide, and restaurant staff, everyone I encountered maintained a consistently gentle and polite demeanor. Two things impressed me the most: first, their zero-delay approach to problem-solving, responding swiftly to requests and resolving issues properly; and second, the genuine and generous room upgrade, given without upselling or conditions, purely offering tangible benefits to guests. As a platinum five-star hotel with many years of deep roots in Guangzhou, the Garden Hotel doesn't rely on flashy gimmicks. It earns its reputation through tangible details, efficient service, and generous hospitality. Whether for a short getaway or an extended stay in the city, it provides a stable and comfortable experience. This thoughtfulness and meticulousness truly make it a benchmark for hotel service in Guangzhou. I will definitely choose it again on my next visit to Guangzhou.

Since early 2025, whenever I'm in Guangzhou for business, I've always stayed at China Hotel (except during the Canton Fair when rooms are fully booked). Each stay is usually 2-3 days, and sometimes I'm there twice a month due to frequent trips. The hotel's location is excellent and the service is good, which is why I keep choosing it. However, I had such a bad experience on this recent trip that I felt compelled to write a review, hoping the hotel takes it seriously and improves its cleaning standards. I checked in on June 2nd and requested a clean and quiet room at the front desk. The female front desk agent assigned me room 1638. I asked if an upgrade was possible but was denied, told that room 1638 had already been processed. Assuming there might not be other rooms available for an upgrade, I didn't press the issue. That evening, I returned to the hotel very late after a long day. After showering and getting into bed, I noticed the sheets felt a bit damp and had a strange odor. Initially, I thought it was coming from the carpet, but then I sniffed the pillows and realized they were the source of the smell – a mixture of sweat and mildew. All four pillows had this unpleasant odor. I felt completely uncomfortable and only managed to fall asleep around 3 AM (given how late and tired I was, I didn't want the hassle of changing rooms, though I strongly suspected the housekeeping staff hadn't changed the bedding). On June 3rd, I left a note requesting that all bedding be changed. Later that day, the housekeeping staff left a note saying the bedding had been replaced and the previous items had been sent for drying. As a star-rated hotel that often hosts international guests, I hope China Hotel thoroughly investigates its housekeeping hygiene to avoid damaging its reputation.

An amazing hot spring resort experience with our little one, perfect down to every detail! We stayed at Bishuiwan Hot Spring Resort with our 1 year and 8-month-old baby, and the overall experience was fantastic! The Paris family room was cozy and our baby absolutely loved it. I especially want to commend the hotel's thoughtfulness – upon check-in, they gave us an Artemisia argyi health hammer, and specially prepared small toys and a children's gift for our baby 🎁. Our little one adored them and couldn't put them down, which was a truly delightful and thoughtful surprise! The room was clean, there were many hot spring pools with excellent water quality, and the staff were always proactive in helping out when they saw us with a child. The Lixiangyuan restaurant also accommodated us by preparing a low-salt, no-garlic meal for the baby, which was very considerate. Plus, the portions were huge – this was the only restaurant where we ate till we were stuffed 🍴, literally burping. It was a warm and relaxing family vacation, and I've already told my family we definitely need to come back to Bishuiwan! I hope this level of care and effort gets recognized 💕

My room was a luxurious suite with private bath tub (around hkd 3000 for two nights including breakfast). Hardware is definitely exceptional. However when it comes to service it is below standard: 1) front desk - service was poor without any greetings such as bell boy. Front desk officers were unhappy without any eye contact when they talk to you. No hospitality at all; 2) breakfast - the quality both food and service were not up to a 4 or 5 star service. Table was not clean, staffs were almost unfriendly, except one female manager and one staff, all staffs were rushing their task and unwelcoming. I believe the hotel management need to motivate their staff ,otherwise, people won’t come again. 3) Amnenties - room is a luxurious suite with private bath tub, massage chair, kitchen , dining table and queen bed. The tub was not very clean, with water splitting . Such a waste as their service was not meeting the standard of what it is expected to be a 5- star resort. (The environment, garden were nicely decorated indeed) The Hot Spring pool is well known but I have’s try so cannot comment. I won’t come to this resort again, if the service of the hotel haven’t improved. And I won’t recommend travelers with kids who is looking for a family friendly and good service resort. P.S.: Parking spaces were spacious and free

Our stay in the triple room at the Guangzhou Biquan Air Hot Spring Hotel was absolutely fantastic! 👍 The room was spacious and bright, with elegant and cozy decor. The three beds were soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a great night's sleep. The room was also equipped with complete and practical facilities, all spotlessly clean. The hotel's hot spring was definitely a highlight, offering a rich variety of pools with perfect water temperatures. Soaking in the hot springs felt like all my fatigue just melted away. The surrounding scenery was beautiful too; it was incredibly relaxing to enjoy the views while soaking. The hotel's service also deserves high praise. The staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help. Whether it was checking in or resolving other issues, they were very efficient. I will definitely choose this place again next time!

I happened to visit during International Women's Day. On March 7th, I even received a carnation from the hotel staff for Girls' Day. However, there didn't seem to be any activities on Women's Day itself, which was a bit disappointing. We usually prefer to book rooms in the main building here because it's been renovated and the room facilities are newer. This time, when we went to the pet feeding area, it felt like they weren't ready for guests; maybe the timing was off. There were no staff members, and we didn't know what to feed the animals with. We could only look and then leave, which diminished the fun. However, the customer service here is still good. Although sometimes the response time was quite slow, there was always a follow-up.

I arrived quite late, hoping for a quiet place to rest, and the front desk staff thoughtfully upgraded me to a suite. Upon entering the room, I found it to be cozy and elegant, with a soft and comfortable bed. The room service was also very prompt. The bathroom facilities were complete, with plenty of hot water, and a hot shower instantly washed away the fatigue of the journey. Moreover, the room had excellent soundproofing, completely blocking out any external noise.

Had a fantastic stay here. Initially our room 510 had a musky smell and the lady at the counter (Jiangyuqing 江雨晴) was super helpful and accommodating to loan us an air purifier. Unfortunately, when we returned the next day the room still had the smell. Asked her to help us and she recommended a room on the newly renovated 7th floor and even showed us the room before we committed. After that, I could thoroughly enjoy my stay in CityNote Quangzhou. Thank you Jiangyuqing 江雨晴 ❤️ CityNote Management, please give this staff a bonus!

The staff were polite and courteous. The room wasn't very big, but for the price, it was pretty good. It was clean and hygienic, though the facilities felt a bit outdated, like they were from many years ago. However, there were no strange odors in the room. Overall, it was decent for the price. The transportation was very convenient, right on Huanshi East Road. There are also plenty of great food and drink options nearby, all within easy walking distance. Zhixin Middle School, Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, and Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center are all about a ten-minute walk away. The Orange Hotel is just across the street, and there's a Starbucks right next door.

Service: Upon entering the building, the concierge was quite good and proactively helped with luggage. However, once we reached the 70th floor, there were no welcoming staff; just a male staff member standing there, constantly staring and scrutinizing, which made us uncomfortable. Fortunately, the lounge staff, who we had contacted via WeChat beforehand, helped arrange things, including a room upgrade. But during check-in, the front desk only mentioned the original room type, which didn't seem very professional. Turndown service was available, but only upon our request. Hygiene: Overall, no issues. Environment: It's unique, but there's no natural light inside the building. Facilities: After entering the room, we couldn't find drinking water for a while. We had to call to find out it was in the cabinet under the coffee machine – very hard to spot and not proactively communicated.

From the doorman's smiling greeting upon arrival to the meticulous service details that perfectly hit every comfortable note, this stay was exceptional. The intelligent control system in the room effortlessly managed all the amenities, and the bedding felt like sleeping on clouds. The custom-made toiletries in the bathroom were a delightful surprise. The afternoon tea desserts had rich layers of flavor, and even returning to the hotel late at night, this business trip accommodation experience completely exceeded my expectations. It's definitely a five-star benchmark in my book.

Traveling with my mother, we chose this established five-star hotel, and the experience far exceeded our expectations. The front desk manager, Michelle, was incredibly thoughtful. After understanding our situation, she proactively arranged a high-floor room for us, away from the noise, which ensured a very peaceful stay. As soon as you step into the lobby, you're greeted by a pleasant fragrance, creating a wonderful ambiance. The hotel, despite its age, doesn't feel old; every detail of cleanliness is meticulously maintained, and all staff members are service-oriented. The morning dim sum at Ming Court was excellent, especially the buffalo milk tarts. The prime location also added a lot to our trip. It was a very enjoyable stay, and we will definitely return on our next visit.

This was my first time in Guangzhou, specifically to see the Phoenix Legend concert, which also happened to be our wedding anniversary (I'd noted it in the booking and mentioned it over the phone). I actually deliberated for a long time between the Mandarin Oriental and the Ritz-Carlton. My husband said, 'Since we haven't stayed at a Ritz yet, let's try it.' Turns out, it was an unwise decision, for these reasons: 1. **The pitiful decorations**: A few balloons, a 'LOVE' petal arrangement, a cake (the cake was directly exposed, why wasn't it covered with a glass dome?), and a card. (The funniest part was the card said 'newlyweds'... do you guys have a wrong understanding of 'anniversary' versus 'honeymoon'?) 2. **The room had a slight musty smell** (we had to ask for an air purifier later). I honestly can't understand why a hotel of your caliber would have such decor. I'm not even comparing you to hotels of the same luxury tier; you can't even compete with a regular five-star. Hilton, Fairmont – which one doesn't completely outshine your decorations? Their birthday setups are more thoughtful than yours, let alone anniversary arrangements. Moving on to other things: The staff, from the concierge to the front desk, the lounge, and the restaurant, were all very good, especially the ladies in the lounge. Breakfast was decent. The food in the lounge was quite mediocre; there's no need to go unless you're really too lazy to go out, because you won't get full and will still need to order takeout. As for the hotel being old, I think that was displayed during the booking process, so I don't really mind that. Oh, and by the way, don't lean against the side of the elevator, or you'll get a drip of icy water. **In summary**: The Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou is okay, but I probably won't stay here again when I come to Guangzhou. (Instead of asking for good reviews, focus on the details. If you do things well, good reviews will naturally follow, and guests will rebook. Otherwise, it's all just talk.)

This hotel is located in the heart of Guangzhou's Tianhe central business district, right next to Gangding subway station and Taikoo Hui. It's surrounded by several large shopping malls, making transportation and shopping incredibly convenient! The hotel boasts a retro Republic of China era design, complemented by smart in-room controls for a modern tech experience. What truly stands out, however, is their meticulous service, including robot delivery for items. Every detail reflects thoughtful comfort, and it offers great value for money!

The staff provided attentive service throughout our stay; Grace was very thoughtful, and Natty, Clark, and Rebecca were incredibly warm and welcoming. The hotel is 3 minutes from Shiqiao station. There is a bus line in front of the hotel that takes you to Shawan old town and other sites. It is across from a local mall with a lot of eateries. My only complaint is the cloth drier is hard to use without WeChat pay. Anyway, it is a good stay at this property.

This was by far the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during the May Day holiday in Guangzhou and Shenzhen! At first, navigating there felt a bit 'remote,' but once inside, it was a pleasant surprise. The shuttle driver in the morning was also excellent; he proactively helped open doors and carry luggage. The front desk lady was very pretty and kind. I'll definitely be back if I need to stay near the airport again! (The room in the picture looks a bit small, but it's actually quite spacious.)

Arrived around 11 pm from Renmin station using a Didi, there is a parking lot for the driver to let you off. The staff didn't speak English but she was accommodating and used a translator to ask me about the hotel transfer. There is one an hour and it is a small mini van, it was quick and seamless would stay again.

It's true what they say: no comparison, no harm. My family always used to book Hilton for me, but this time they told me to try something new, so I only booked one core hotel, and it turned out to be a Wyndham. Hilton's quality is consistently good; the Hilton in this area even has more spacious rooms than others, and the service is quite good. However, Wyndham's quality really varies. The Wyndham I stayed at in Qingyuan, Lianzhu, was excellent, but the one in Panyu felt pretty average. Next time, I'll stick with Hilton. It offers great value for money, and while it might not be a high-star hotel, the quality is definitely up to a certain standard, and the breakfast is also quite standard.
