While visiting Qingdao, I decided to spend a day in Jinan and chose the Shangri-La. Before checking in, I called to confirm that my room was ready. The lobby is impressive, and the room was spacious, quiet, and well-equipped. The toiletries were excellent, and I particularly liked the eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes and combs. The hotel is conveniently located opposite Quancheng Square, perfect for an evening stroll to watch the musical fountain. Baotu Spring is also within walking distance. There are plenty of malls nearby, and both takeout and dining options are easily accessible. The old city, however, is genuinely congested; it took almost 40 minutes to get to Jinan Station by taxi, and I barely made my train. The hotel also seems to offer intangible cultural heritage activities, but I didn't have time to participate. I would definitely choose this hotel again for a more leisurely trip to Jinan.

Traveling to Yantai, I decisively chose the Hilton Golden Coast, and my entire stay was perfect, completely exceeding my expectations. It's an excellent choice for a vacation in Yantai. The hotel's biggest highlight is its stunning sea-view rooms; opening the window reveals an endless blue ocean, with an incredibly expansive view. Whether it's watching the blue sky and ocean and the surging waves during the day, or enjoying the gentle sunset in the evening, it's incredibly therapeutic. Just quietly gazing at the sea makes all travel fatigue disappear, and the ambiance is absolutely perfect. The hotel's service was exceptionally thoughtful and thorough. The front desk staff, Winnie, was warm and professional. Check-in and check-out were very fast, with a simple and efficient process. Any needs during the stay were met with patient, detailed responses and efficient solutions from the staff, providing attentive and considerate service throughout, making for a superb experience. The buffet breakfast was a huge surprise, with a rich and comprehensive variety of dishes, including both Chinese and Western cuisine. There were not only exquisite Western pastries, hot dishes, porridges, fresh fruits, and vegetables, but also local specialty snacks. The ingredients were fresh, and the taste was consistently good. Every day offered different delicious options, enough to satisfy the dining needs of the whole family. The room hygiene was impeccable; the entire room was spotlessly clean. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the layout was neat and cozy, offering a very high level of living comfort. Additionally, the hotel facilities are complete; the gym equipment is comprehensive and clean, allowing for easy exercise and relaxation during leisure time. The hotel's overall environment is quiet and elegant, with excellent privacy, making it very livable away from the hustle and bustle. It's perfect for couples, family vacations, or short business trips. The location is excellent, making travel and sightseeing very convenient. The overall value for money and experience are impeccable. The next time I come to Yantai, I will still choose this hotel first!

Just checked out of the Crowne Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort, and this 3-day, 2-night 'lie-flat' vacation was truly therapeutic. We didn't have to rush to any attractions, making it perfect for families with kids or those looking for a quiet escape. The hotel has a European castle style, and the high-ceilinged lobby with a crystal chandelier immediately sets a holiday mood upon entry. We were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room. The room itself was generously sized, but the real highlight was the large balcony. Stepping out, you're greeted by an unobstructed view of Aoshan Bay. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from bed in the morning and the sunset over the sea in the evening – simply an amazing view. While some areas of the facilities showed a bit of age, the overall cleanliness and tidiness were quite good. Downstairs, there's a beach where you can wade in the water or dig in the sand – the kids absolutely loved it. There's also an outdoor children's swimming pool, and hotel guests have unlimited access. Next to it, there's a small petting zoo, where feeding the animals easily fills up a whole day.

Our overall stay was very good. The room was clean and comfortable, the service was attentive, the breakfast had a wide variety of options, and the location was convenient for getting around. Everything basically met Westin's brand standards. The only minor drawback was the pool area. There were many non-hotel guests with children and external coaches giving swimming lessons. This occupied a lot of the pool space, making the lanes quite crowded and affecting the swimming experience for hotel guests. What was most unbearable was a coach using a DJI drone for underwater photography. I hope the hotel can strengthen management and designate separate lanes for coaches to ensure the rights of guests. Aside from this, it's generally a recommended stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mövenpick Hotel, as the decor, service, and dining all offered exceptional value for money. Upon arrival, the welcoming receptionist kindly upgraded me to a generous room. To my pleasant surprise, the hotel also provided complimentary welcome amenities, including beer, soft drinks, and fresh fruit. seasonal fruit. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with convenient smart-room controls. Additionally, the personalized housekeeping service managed via WeChat was both attentive and highly efficient. The daily buffet breakfast and evening light bites were equally impressive and delicious. However, I did encounter a couple of drawbacks: Location: As a non-driver, the hotel's location proved somewhat inconvenient, requiring me to rely entirely on taxis to get around. Smoking Policy: I was concerned to see guests smoking in common areas, particularly while waiting for the elevators. This inevitably forced fellow guests and staff to inhale secondhand smoke. Furthermore, placing large ashtray stands beside the elevator banks on every floor implicitly encourages this behavior. I strongly encourage the management to consider implementing a smoke-free policy in all indoor public spaces for the health and well-being of both guests and staff.

Jenny at the guest services center provided excellent service, making for a great overall experience. The room was spacious and clean, with good soundproofing, stable Wi-Fi, and complete facilities. The hotel offers direct access to the high-speed rail and terminal via a comprehensive transportation hub, making travel very convenient. The room size was quite generous.

This hotel is located in Huangdao District, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it perfect for guests who prefer a quieter environment without large crowds. The indoor pool is spacious and well-lit, with depths ranging from 0.8 to 1.3 meters, which is great for families and those learning to swim. The beach is a mere 3-minute walk away. It's a public beach, not a private one, so swimming isn't recommended. However, it's fantastic for clam digging, playing in the sand, and wading in the water in the mornings and evenings. It offers a more private beach experience compared to the crowded public swimming beaches, making it an ideal compromise. There are also water sports facilities operated by third parties on the beach, offering additional options. The hotel features a resident band performance in the evenings, which can be enjoyed directly from the outdoor terrace dining area. I recommend booking a room with a terrace so you can dine and drink while listening to the music. Alternatively, a sea-view room with a balcony also offers a good view. The hotel also has an outdoor mini zoo with cute animals like miniature horses, which is a fun attraction for both adults and children. The breakfast is decent, meeting the standard for a five-star hotel. This room type offers excellent value for money, so remember to book in advance during peak season. By the way, a little heads-up: Qingdao is under a fishing ban throughout July and August, so there's no such thing as ”freshly caught seafood” during this time. Most seafood is frozen or imported from other regions. Friends, be wary of false advertising from some seafood stalls.

Attention to detail is lacking. There were no tissues in the room, and the light switch design was impractical; some bedside lights couldn't even be turned off. Thankfully, the air conditioning didn't have issues with being too hot to cool down. Compared to the sea view rooms, the details here aren't as good. The biggest takeaway, though, is to be very cautious about breakfast. The bacon was burnt black, and I'm not sure if that's a local specialty or not. The variety also wasn't as good as the sea view rooms – it's hard to describe. After eating breakfast, we didn't dare book their buffet. As for the room, my elderly family members felt a bit itchy after resting. If we're talking about the Shilaoren beach for families, the kids didn't even want to play there, which was quite awkward 😬. However, they did upgrade our room for free, so that's a plus. The travel photography service was also speechless, a bit of a rip-off, but many hotels in Qingdao are like this.

I want to specially thank Joy at the front desk for this stay. I encountered an unexpected issue during my check-in and immediately sought her help. Joy was incredibly friendly and didn't brush me off. She listened carefully to my request and actively helped coordinate and communicate with various parties, doing her utmost to resolve the problem properly. The entire process was timely, thoughtful, professional, and patient. Thanks to her attentive and considerate service, a small check-in hassle was resolved, greatly enhancing my stay experience. I'm very satisfied.

My experience at the Shangri-La Hotel was excellent. Both the service and cleanliness were top-notch. A special thank you to our butler, Nina, for her exceptional service! We had booked a Horizon Club room, but upon arrival, we were initially directed to the Qingxiang Pavilion. Nina proactively added us on WeChat and personally escorted us to the Horizon Club for check-in. Learning that we were traveling by car, she took the initiative to register our license plate, telling us to relax in our room first and informing us that parking would be free during our stay. This made entering and exiting the parking garage very convenient, saving us a lot of hassle. During our stay, Nina would ask for our preferred time daily to deliver fresh fruit to our room. She also thoughtfully provided special Qingdao local beverages, which I absolutely loved. This really allowed us to experience the rich local culture of Qingdao, greatly enhancing our trip. When the hotel conducted a voltage check, Nina promptly messaged us to remind us and assured us there was nothing to worry about, showing incredible foresight. When we checked out, we had a lot of luggage. After I explained the situation to Nina, she immediately arranged for a bellhop to help us bring our bags downstairs. She anticipated every need throughout our stay, making the entire check-in process incredibly smooth. The service was warm and attentive. I truly love the Shangri-La Hotel in Qingdao; it's a benchmark in the industry!
