Just got back from Yantai, and my stay at the Hilton Yantai Golden Coast was unexpectedly pleasant. What I loved most was the view; I could see the shimmering sea right from my bed in the room. The family room was just the right size, and the bedding was soft and breathable. The public facilities were well-maintained; it was lovely to squeeze in a workout at the gym in the morning. Henny's service was spot-on, always handling any issues promptly and smoothly. The hotel has been around for a while, so some minor details aren't perfect, but its relaxed atmosphere makes up for it. Taking a stroll to Golden Beach after dinner to enjoy the sea breeze really maximized the vacation vibe. If you're looking to gaze at the sea and relax, this place is highly recommended. Overall, I'm very satisfied!

Just checked out of the Crowne Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort, and this 3-day, 2-night 'lie-flat' vacation was truly therapeutic. We didn't have to rush to any attractions, making it perfect for families with kids or those looking for a quiet escape. The hotel has a European castle style, and the high-ceilinged lobby with a crystal chandelier immediately sets a holiday mood upon entry. We were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room. The room itself was generously sized, but the real highlight was the large balcony. Stepping out, you're greeted by an unobstructed view of Aoshan Bay. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from bed in the morning and the sunset over the sea in the evening – simply an amazing view. While some areas of the facilities showed a bit of age, the overall cleanliness and tidiness were quite good. Downstairs, there's a beach where you can wade in the water or dig in the sand – the kids absolutely loved it. There's also an outdoor children's swimming pool, and hotel guests have unlimited access. Next to it, there's a small petting zoo, where feeding the animals easily fills up a whole day.

From check-in upon arrival to answering all my questions throughout my stay and finally a smooth check-out, every step reflected the professional standards of a five-star hotel, far exceeding my expectations. As soon as our car pulled up to the hotel entrance, a front office staff member proactively approached to guide us, thoughtfully directing us to the lobby for check-in. Stepping into the lobby and approaching the reception area, the staff members were consistently warm and friendly in their tone, providing genuine and sincere service, completely devoid of any robotic, impersonal feel. The check-in process was highly efficient and streamlined. During the process, they took the initiative to meticulously explain all key information, including suite privileges, important notes on using the room key card, opening hours for hotel facilities, and 24-hour service contact details. Everything was explained clearly and comprehensively, saving guests the trouble of having to ask individual questions. As it was my first time visiting Qingdao, I wasn't very familiar with the city's attractions or unique touring routes. Initially, I just planned to quickly check in and head to my room to rest. However, the front office staff attentively noticed my travel needs and, combining them with my preferences, patiently shared recommendations for local hotspots, the best times for scenic views, and reliable tour route planning. They thoughtfully helped me avoid crowded areas and proactively identified potential needs I hadn't even voiced, offering personalized suggestions. During my several-day stay, whether it was during my daytime excursions or a late-night query, simply calling the front desk for changes in itinerary, booking taxis, local travel tips, or room-related coordination issues, the phone was always answered quickly. Their response time was incredibly fast; there was never any delay, perfunctory response, or passive feedback. Their professional competence was truly outstanding. At check-out, the front office procedures were equally simple and fast, with no long queues or waiting times. From the initial reception upon arrival, through the constant support during my stay, to the thoughtful farewell at departure, the front office consistently maintained a steady and heartfelt service, truly ensuring that every need was met and every guest felt cared for. Much of this wonderful stay experience is owed to the meticulous service of the front office team. If I return to Qingdao, I will still prioritize this hotel, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all fellow travelers.

Environment: The location is quite good, peaceful and secluded. Getting around mainly relies on ride-hailing services or walking, as public transportation (bus and subway) is awkwardly situated between two stops. However, if you're looking for a quiet stay, I genuinely recommend it. Hygiene: Very clean; the guest rooms and restaurant generally feel excellent. Facilities: A very new hotel with well-equipped hardware facilities. Everything felt very reliable to use, and comfort levels were maximized. Service: The service was attentive. Late at night, I asked for some ice, and they promptly delivered a bucket, which was a great help – thank you! 🙏 They also friendly accommodated my request for a late checkout. 👍

The location is truly a huge plus! 🌊 You can go straight down to the beach from the hotel and even catch the sunrise over the sea, which significantly enhanced our experience. It's also very close to Wheat Island, Fushan Forest Park, and the Polar Ocean World, making sightseeing and excursions effortless. The executive lounge offers breathtaking views and a wide panorama, and the food quality is excellent; it's a very pleasant spot to relax. A special thanks to Sheila ✨ from the staff. She was incredibly patient and attentive from the booking stage, helping me compare and analyze the executive and sea-view rooms, giving suitable recommendations based on my needs, and enthusiastically suggesting nearby attractions. She also arranged for a child safety rail. Since we were with a child, we also received a complimentary sand play bucket. I initially expected an ordinary freebie, but I was pleasantly surprised by its excellent craftsmanship and quality; my child absolutely loved it. The service throughout our stay was meticulous and thoughtful, making for a truly wonderful overall experience. Highly recommended for families with children! We will definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Qingdao.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Qingdao while on a family road trip. It's an older five-star hotel that's been open for years, so the facilities feel a bit dated, but they're well-maintained. The guest rooms have an elegant, understated European retro style with plenty of stone and wrought iron decor, giving off a 'old money' vibe. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a spacious 60-square-meter suite. The layout was excellent with distinct zones, so there was plenty of room for the whole family without feeling cramped. At just over 600 yuan, it offered outstanding value for money. I especially want to praise the bedding – it was soft and breathable, making for a great night's sleep and effectively easing the fatigue from our long drive. The front desk staff were prompt with their service and very friendly towards children. The hotel is centrally located on Hong Kong Middle Road, with convenient parking for those driving, and easy access to the beach and shopping areas. It's truly ideal for family travel.

She also distinguished between trendy spots and family-friendly places, helping us plan routes that saved time and effort. The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to May Fourth Square and the Olympic Sailing Center. Our room was clean and comfortable, and service responses were prompt. We felt the meticulous and thoughtful care everywhere. It's perfect whether for a short break or as a base for exploring Qingdao. With its superior facilities, warm service, and fun kids' activities, it's highly recommended for family travel. Next time we visit Qingdao, Shangri-La will still be our top choice. This was the hotel I was most looking forward to on this trip. I booked it because it was a 5-star resort, hoping to relax with my parents. However, when we drove up to the entrance, there was no one to help with luggage or direct us to parking. The entrance was completely empty. I thought everyone was busy, but once inside the lobby, I saw plenty of staff, yet no one came forward to assist us. This is unheard of in any 5-star hotel I've stayed at. After we went in, my dad asked where the charging stations in the parking lot were, and if they were fast or slow chargers. The staff member couldn't answer any of his questions, saying they'd have to go ask. In the end, we had no choice but to follow the signs and find the parking ourselves. On the bright side, the two rooms we booked could be connected by opening a door to form a single suite, which was a nice experience. Actually, when you approached the staff for something, their attitude was good, but it felt like there were some management issues. For example, after checking out, my mother realized she had left something in the room's refrigerator. I immediately called the front desk, explaining we were driving back to get it and asking if someone could collect the item and leave it at the concierge. The front desk confirmed it was no problem. After driving back to the hotel for about 20 minutes, my mother inquired at the concierge, but the concierge staff had no idea about it. They had to go ask the front desk, and only after getting a confirmation did they go up to the room to retrieve the item. We then waited at the hotel for almost 20 to 30 minutes, which was a very poor experience. Overall, the environment and cleanliness were excellent. The location is in Qingdao's new district, and the surrounding area, plus the sea view terrace, added a lot of points. However, the initial bad experience significantly lowered our overall impression. I hope they can make more improvements. Being able to see the sunrise and sunset over the sea from the room was something I really loved! The breakfast selection was comprehensive and delicious.
