As one of Suzhou's renowned hotels and an attraction in itself, the Pan Pacific Hotel has clearly put a lot of thought into its environment. It has created a beautiful Suzhou garden-style landscape based on the outlines of ancient Wu Kingdom architecture, making us feel like history isn't just a display, but that we're living inside a freshly painted ink wash painting. Wooden planks form bridges in the corridors, bamboo paintings adorn the walls, and when the wind blows, it's as if you can hear the clear ringing of ancient Wu eave bells – not noisy, yet full of sound. The in-house restaurant offers yellow croaker noodles, which are a bit pricey, but the fish is fresh and delicious, and worth trying with the small noodles and side dishes. The only downsides: when I called, there was a wait without an answer, and the staff training regarding the management of guests' personal belongings in the rooms needs improvement. I highly recommend visiting the hotel's architecture; it offers a concrete experience of Suzhou's ancient江南 (Jiangnan) charm.

First off, I have to acknowledge that the night view from the InterContinental's high-floor 'Cloud' night-view rooms is truly beautiful. The in-room facilities are a little dated, but that's understandable for an older, established hotel. What I really want to complain about is the breakfast. The breakfast itself isn't bad; there's a good variety and the taste is acceptable. However, on a Sunday morning, heading down for breakfast just after 10:00 AM, I actually had to queue to get in. I can understand a crowd, and guests are usually fine with waiting, but what did the staff member at the entrance who was scanning cards mean by asking if I minded sharing a table with others? Do guests staying at the InterContinental, who presumably value a certain standard of living, normally want to share a table for breakfast? The complimentary 78th-floor 'Cloud' afternoon tea was also very mediocre. It only offered very ordinary coffee drinks and a perfunctory, unappetizing strawberry cake that couldn't be swapped. Even bringing an extra friend didn't allow for an additional cake. The coffee shop didn't even have milk or creamer pods. Plus, when we first arrived on the 78th floor, the hostess seemed completely spaced out and looked very surprised to see us. If it's a cloudy day, there's nothing to see from the 'Cloud' panoramic restaurant on the 78th floor anyway – I guess that's just bad luck on my part. I think it's time for the InterContinental to improve its service standards.

Hotel near Industrial Park, Jinji Lake Commercial Area,Suzhou 1.7% of visitors choose this area

My stay was fantastic! The hotel's ambiance is elegant and cozy, and the room layout is well-designed with great natural light and views of Jinji Lake and the Gate of the Orient at night. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the amenities were complete. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The service was thoughtful and attentive; the front desk staff was professional and efficient. I particularly appreciated a few small gestures: after check-in, the front desk person personally escorted me to the elevator lobby, and although the doorman couldn't make it in time to close my car door as I was leaving, he still rushed over. These might seem like minor details, and it wouldn't have mattered if they hadn't happened, but they truly show that service is their top priority, making you feel right at home. This hotel is perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. Highly recommend and would definitely return! - Dolphin Peanut

Our stay at the hotel was super comfortable. What we loved most was the breakfast – it runs until 12 PM, so there's no need to rush in the morning, which is incredibly thoughtful. The hotel is also surrounded by plenty of dining and entertainment options, making getting around a breeze. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room itself was cozy and inviting, with soft bedding and well-appointed furnishings. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in the area!

Overall, I'm very satisfied! 👍🏻 I've always had a good impression of Kempinski, and the room style at this Nanjing location is also to my liking. Facilities: The lobby is grand, the room is spacious, and the bathroom is large with a separate wet and dry area. However, like most older five-star hotels, the toilets are an older model and the hair dryer is also dated. Aside from these 'traditional' aspects, everything else is quite luxurious. Hygiene: No issues, and the air quality in the room was fine. Environment: The surrounding area is also good, it's just a bit far from the subway. However, prices in Nanjing are reasonable, so taxis aren't expensive, though there's occasional traffic. Service: Everything was excellent. The staff I interacted with all had great attitudes and a strong service意識 (service-oriented mindset). Even ran into a foreign chef from the restaurant in the elevator and he was very polite too! It was a great stay, a hotel I would definitely stay at again. (I don't usually take photos of rooms, but they look exactly like the pictures uploaded by the hotel!)

For those seeking a quiet stay, here's some helpful information. The overall ambiance of the Guesthouse is elegant and tranquil, with beautifully maintained gardens that create a very pleasant atmosphere. As someone who prioritizes peace and relaxation during my stays, I'd recommend Building 8 based on my overall experience. However, the twin rooms in Building 8 directly face Qu Garden, and the announcement calls can be quite loud. I suggest the hotel address this. Currently, there's construction and renovation happening across the way, which causes significant noise disturbance, so choose with caution. For ultimate quietness, courtyard rooms or water view rooms are your best bet. Courtyard rooms are exceptionally peaceful and offer a very pleasant living experience. (Though, it largely depends on the behavior of your neighbors, as the soundproofing isn't great, leading to significant mutual disturbance). I personally didn't care for the room style in Building 18. This building is right next to the road, its design isn't as comfortable as Building 8, and the street noise is very loud. The interior decor quality is also mediocre. Inside the hotel, you can feed the swans, and there's also a sightseeing train and shuttle buggies for convenient transportation. Getting to Slender West Lake is very easy; you can take the scenic bus directly through a fast track. If you purchase tickets in advance on [platform name] or Dianping, you can enter directly from here, making travel hassle-free. Overall, the hotel's environment is commendable, but the food quality is rather ordinary and didn't meet my expectations.

Extremely satisfied with this relaxing getaway! The environment is exceptionally serene, and the outdoor landscaping and water features are very elegant. You could easily stay around the hotel without feeling bored. Nearby, there's Langshan Scenic Area and Binjiang Park, both within walking distance, making it perfect for a leisurely holiday or a wellness retreat. Membership offers a lot of discounts, including on dining. When I added breakfast separately, the hotel automatically applied a discount, which was very generous. The dining prices are all very reasonable, and the food is delicious. The front desk and concierge staff, both the young men and women, provided excellent service, offering friendly reminders about various things. Elise from guest relations was also wonderful; she called a day in advance and noted a room upgrade, and when I arrived, the front desk already had it arranged. I'll definitely be coming back here for future Chinese New Year holidays.

Stumbled upon this hotel, saw the price was good, so I booked it. Only found out upon check-in that this is the tallest building in Wuxi. The subway station is right downstairs, and Xiao Lou Alley is just across the street. Getting around is super convenient. The hotel's ground-floor entrance isn't very obvious; I walked around a bit before finding it and initially thought it was an office building lobby. I went in and asked, and that's when I learned the hotel's front desk is on the 43rd floor. Taking the express elevator made my ears pop a bit. The room was great, the view was nice, and it was clean. The complimentary soft drinks from the minibar for Trip.com members and the welcome fruit from the hotel were a thoughtful touch. I had read reviews mentioning poor soundproofing and was worried it might affect my sleep, but it turned out to be very quiet. Check-out was also very fast; I just handed in the room card and left. Overall, it was a very good experience. I'd definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for my birthday and had such a great experience. They upgraded me to a suite, which was clean, beautiful and incredibly spacious. When I arrived, they had a thoughtful birthday setup waiting for me, complete with a cake and a sweet “Happy Birthday” display, which I truly appreciated. They also gave me lovely souvenirs from the city, which was such a nice touch. The staff were warm, helpful and always ready to assist. Breakfast was included and offered a good variety of Western options. The view from the room was amazing and made the stay even more special. The location is also very convenient, right next to a plaza with plenty of food options to choose from. I would absolutely stay here again.

AAnonymous UserHotel is very close to 石路 metro (Exit 12). It is situated on the 石路步行街 surrounded by restaurants and eateries, luckin coffee, Starbucks and KFC etc. Walkable distance to 七里山塘景区 and bus stop is also close by with direct bus to take us to attractions like 狮子林, 拙政园, 苏州博物馆 and 观前街 etc. 盒马 supermarket is situated in 苏州万象天地. From 石路 metro Exit 12, just walk straight across to Exit 1 and you will reach the shopping mall. The room is spacious and clean. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Bathroom is clean and spacious with strong shower pressure. The only issue is the shower temperature is not consistent as it may change from your desired temperature to sudden high heat then shift to chill mode before returning back to your desired temperature. That said, the stay is still comfortable with drawing factors such as accessible to transport, food, coffee, bakery and shopping but still away from the hustle and bustle, unpleasant smell or noise to have a restful sleep.

GGuest UserOverall, it was okay. The room size was pretty average, and the facilities were a bit basic. However, for the price, the value for money was decent. Parking was a bit inconvenient; the basement parking lot was small, though its proximity was fine. One really big issue is that you absolutely shouldn't stay in the northernmost rooms on weekdays. There's a kindergarten right downstairs, and they start blasting music through loudspeakers early in the morning, making it impossible to sleep in. 🌚 But I really have to praise the breakfast – for a hotel in this price range, it was excellent.

NNekojanaiI'd been looking forward to visiting the first Kimpton hotel in mainland China, and my trip to Suzhou finally gave me the chance to experience the Kimpton Bamboo Grove Hotel. This hotel used to be the old-school Bamboo Grove Hotel in Suzhou, and the redesign has really struck a perfect balance between modern style and Suzhou charm. The public areas are incredibly picturesque – every corner is Instagram-worthy. From the warm, ochre-colored textured walls in the lobby to the outdoor water gardens, there are so many spots that are perfect for photos. Especially those century-old camphor trees that have been preserved, reflecting beautifully in the water – it truly gives off a 'hidden oasis in the city' vibe. I absolutely have to give a shout-out to our butler, Vickey. She added me on WeChat even before I arrived and provided detailed information about the location, parking instructions, and local recommendations. This kind of one-on-one communication really put me at ease before check-in. The morning wake-up call and social hour were quite ritualistic, and in the evening, enjoying a special cocktail at Bamboo Grove 168 while gazing at the江南 (Jiangnan) waterscape outside the window was incredibly relaxing. The breakfast was also fantastic; not only did it feature Suzhou specialties like red soup noodles, but you could even have 'coconut freedom' – they really don't skimp on the ingredients. Next time I'm in Suzhou, I'll definitely choose to stay here again!

LListeningtoI've stayed in many high-end hotels, but Pinjiang Road Residence isn't something you can describe in just a few words—it's truly exceptional! First, the location is absolutely fantastic, right next to the famous Pingjiang Road. Every day, you can step directly into a historic cultural district. Second, the hotel itself is a renovation of a centuries-old building, exuding an ancient charm. The exterior retains the classic Suzhou architectural style, while the rooms are equipped with all modern appliances, even more up-to-date than many five-star hotels. Third, the hotel staff are incredibly professional. Traveling with three children can be quite a hassle, but the staff's thoughtful and attentive service greatly eased our burden. Everything was arranged perfectly, saving us a lot of time and effort. Although it was very crowded during the Chinese New Year, our impression of Suzhou was excellent. Special shout-out to Xiao Wang at the front desk for being so professional, gentle, and considerate. I'll attach a few candid photos; it's truly beautiful, a hidden gem in the city. I felt like Tao Yuanming for a few days, escaping the hustle and bustle.

CChisuishibaiqiThe hotel boasts a prime location in the heart of Jiangbei New Area, right next to Sands Ocean Outlet, making shopping and leisure easily accessible on foot. Despite being in a bustling area, its layout ensures a peaceful environment, shielding guests from the noise. Getting to the Youth Olympic Sports Park or enjoying the river views from the Fifth Yangtze River Bridge is also incredibly smooth. What truly leaves a lasting impression is the service, as precise and elegant as a Swiss watch. A special thanks to Xiao Guo and the front desk team for always remembering the preferences of regular guests. A warm greeting during check-in or a timely room upgrade demonstrates a level of attentiveness that goes beyond mere procedures. The Swissôtel Nanjing, with its consistent high standards and personalized warmth, truly embodies the art of hospitality. RRemilyWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂 The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally. For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁 Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located within the Metro Lux Center, so security is generally good. If you order takeout, it's delivered to the ground floor and distributed by staff. The decor is quite stylish and photogenic. Every evening, they bring a complimentary wellness dessert, which, while not amazing, is a thoughtful touch. However, despite its good looks, the hotel has some significant drawbacks: 1. **Poor soundproofing.** My room was directly opposite the elevator, and I could clearly hear people talking outside in the mornings, making it impossible to sleep. 2. **Facilities don't match the price.** The stoppers for both the bathtub and sink were problematic. The bathtub stopper, in particular, wouldn't pop back up or drain properly. When I wanted to take a bath around 11 PM and discovered the issue, I brought it to the staff's attention. Their solution was to suggest I use the bathroom in the next room or ”move rooms.” I don't understand how a new and relatively expensive hotel could have such basic issues. It completely ruined my mood.
