We were lured to this hotel through recommendation of influencers that boast this hotel with it's majestic look of that looking like a Chinese traditional castle. Although the location is not quite what we really like as it is about 8-10mins walking from the nearest Metro Station (Nanmen Metro) but the price was quite affordable and enticing that we decided to give it a try. The hotel facade does looks magnificant, grand and big from afar, the interior is huge and traditionally well-kept even though the design looks a bit dated but I find that it stays classy and traditional that way. We were assigned to one of the furthest room all the way to the back at 5069. The walk was quite long since it was all the way at the back. Room is definitely big and allow opening of luggages all at one go. The amenities given was sufficient, except they can improve by giving more shower bath gel and shampoo as the small bottles was not enough. Was also hoping they could have install international plugs for their international guest being an international hotel chain as well. Their staffs were polite and professional. Woudl recommend anyone coming to Suzhou to give this hotel one shot at least! The most important thing is the hotel stay comes with complimentary park access which is connected at the back of the hotel which would cost RMB40 if you were to pay to go in! Worth it!

If you could only do two things in Yangzhou, they would undoubtedly be 'admiring the gardens' and 'savoring Huaiyang cuisine'. My stay at Yangzhou Yingbin Hotel perfectly blended these two experiences, offering an unexpected feast for both my mind and body. Before checking in, I knew the hotel was located by Slender West Lake, but it wasn't until I truly stepped inside that I understood what 'a new scene with every step' really meant. The hotel itself is an exquisite Chinese-style garden, with pavilions, terraces, rockeries, and ponds artfully arranged. Strolling through the garden in the early morning or evening, sunlight streamed through the carved wooden windows, casting dappled shadows that reflected in the tranquil ponds, while white walls, dark tiles, and lush greenery complemented each other beautifully. Everywhere I looked in the garden was a vivid ink painting of Jiangnan. This immersive garden experience is something that simply visiting a regular attraction can't compare to. If the garden satisfied my eyes, then the hotel's restaurant thoroughly conquered my stomach. The highlight of this culinary journey was here: the morning tea at Quyuan Teahouse lived up to its reputation. In the elegant setting of the tea restaurant, I savored classic hot dried shredded tofu, crab roe soup dumplings, and five-filling buns. The dim sum was meticulously prepared and authentic in taste, making breakfast feel like a special ritual. For lunch and dinner, I tried several famous Huaiyang dishes. The boiled dried shredded tofu was fresh and tender, and the Lion's Head meatball, with its perfect balance of lean and fatty meat, melted in my mouth. Each dish showcased the essence of Huaiyang cuisine's philosophy of 'using local ingredients and meticulous craftsmanship,' and the staff's descriptions of the dishes were professional and appropriate. From the thoughtful service I received during check-in to the warm and attentive shuttle driver, every detail during my stay reflected the hotel's dedication. It's more than just a place to stay; it's a microcosm of Yangzhou culture. For travelers seeking to 'experience local character and savor culture,' this is undoubtedly an excellent choice.

Letter of Commendation Last month, from December 16-17, I mistakenly booked an Executive King Room at Suning International Hotel. The first night, costing over 800 yuan, was forfeited because I arrived too late. I thought I would have to bear the loss myself, but customer service representative Amy proactively called me and helped me apply for a 14-day extension. As the new deadline approached, I found there were no rooms available due to a holiday, so she extended it again for me, following up patiently and cheerfully from afar. Her meticulousness and professionalism truly embody ”customer first” in every interaction. I am grateful to Suning for fostering such a warm team, and I wish Amy a prosperous New Year. I have already rebooked and can check in with peace of mind. I also wish to share this trust with every traveler. Suning is made warm by you, and travel is made beautiful by you.

Our stay in the lake-view suite completely exceeded all expectations. The floor-to-ceiling windows were like a giant cinema screen, framing the shimmering waters of Xuanwu Lake and the lush green layers of Purple Mountain into a dynamic, living painting. Waking up to the morning mist over Swan Island and watching the city wall lights reflect in the lake at dusk – every moment was breathtaking. The suite's design perfectly blended Jinling's charm with modern luxury: sleek new Chinese furniture, subtly integrated smart control systems, and a layout with a separate living room and bedroom that felt both open and private. My favorite feature was the circular bathtub by the window, offering panoramic lake views while soaking. Even the welcome fruit platter included a Yuhua tea-themed dessert, showcasing exquisite Jiangnan elegance in every detail. The hotel service was exemplary: the butler proactively confirmed our preferred routes, and during turn-down service, thoughtfully prepared the window-side daybed for enjoying the view. The 27th-floor executive lounge offered stunning vistas, and during Happy Hour, sipping champagne while gazing down at the ancient city created a particularly moving sense of past and present intertwining. The location was impeccable: within walking distance to Xuanwu Gate subway station, making it convenient to reach Fuzimiao or Xinjiekou. Morning jogs along the Ming City Wall and evening strolls on the lakeside boardwalk – staying here truly allowed us to experience the essence of 'Pearl of Jinling'. Special thanks to our butler Luanne for upgrading our room and arranging a late check-out, ensuring a perfect end to our trip. This wasn't just accommodation; it was a cherished Nanjing memory. Highly recommended for travelers seeking both scenic beauty and quality – you'll fall in love with waking up in such a picturesque setting.

As a landmark in Nanjing, Jinling Hotel truly lives up to its reputation! My stay here gave me a full taste of what a seasoned five-star hotel offers – from the hardware facilities to the service details, everything was impeccable. A special shout-out goes to Front Desk Receptionist C, whose thoughtful service added so much warmth to our trip; they absolutely deserve public praise! The hotel's location is undoubtedly prime Nanjing real estate, right in the heart of Xinjiekou. It's just a 3-minute walk to Metro Lines 1 and 2, and attractions like Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) and the Presidential Palace are only a 15-minute drive away. Downstairs, you'll find Deji Plaza and a street full of time-honored eateries, making travel, shopping, and dining incredibly convenient – no need to rush around for anything. Stepping into the lobby, I was instantly captivated. The rich heritage of the Six Dynasties era blends perfectly with modern luxury; crystal chandeliers and retro decor exude elegance, and even the subtle fragrance in the air made us feel incredibly comfortable. Our room in the Asia Pacific Tower was spacious, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering sweeping views of Xinjiekou's cityscape. At night, the neon lights created a vibrant atmosphere. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the mattress provided excellent support, and the soundproofing exceeded expectations, ensuring a great night's sleep accompanied by the room's delicate aroma. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation, a smart toilet, and a full range of international brand toiletries – every detail showed thoughtful care. Room cleaning was also exceptionally meticulous; supplies were replenished promptly every day, and even the towels were folded into cute shapes. We felt both comfortable and at ease. The dining experience was a definite highlight! The breakfast buffet offered a huge variety, including Chinese delights like xiaolongbao (steamed buns) and tang yumi ao (sweet taro paste), as well as Western options like pastries and freshly ground coffee. The freshly prepared duck blood vermicelli soup was rich and savory, a true taste of authentic Nanjing. We also made sure to try the Meiyuan Restaurant, where the clear broth lion's head was tender and flavorful, and the salted duck had thin skin and tender meat. Every Huaiyang dish was a feast for both the eyes and the palate, offering incredible value for money. The hotel's other facilities were also excellent, with a well-equipped 24-hour gym and a sparkling clean indoor heated pool where you can enjoy city views while swimming – a fantastic experience. I especially want to commend Front Desk Receptionist C! During check-in, they provided service with a constant smile and exceptional efficiency, and even upgraded our room to the Asia Pacific Tower – what a pleasant surprise! For any questions or assistance during our stay, we received professional and gentle responses instantly. Their enthusiasm, attentiveness, and professionalism were truly outstanding, leaving us with a warm feeling! My child said they definitely want to stay here again next time we visit Nanjing! I highly recommend Jinling Hotel to all friends visiting Nanjing; you must come and experience this ultimate warmth of Jinling.

This cruise-themed hotel has an amazing ambiance! Its location by Jinji Lake is absolutely superb, offering stunning views of the lake and the Gate of the Orient right across. The lakeside promenade is just downstairs, making strolls and sightseeing incredibly convenient. The staff provides exceptional service and attention to detail, even offering complimentary children's bathrobes and toothbrushes in cute packaging. Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing. This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.

I frequently visit Jinji Lake, and the InterContinental Hotel is my go-to choice. It's directly across from Jinji Lake and very close to Moonlight Wharf, just over the bridge. This time, I brought my elderly parents for a relaxing trip. My mother had just been discharged from the hospital after a fracture, and due to her bandages, eating and walking were quite difficult. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating. From check-in, when we booked two rooms, the front desk arranged adjoining rooms for us to easily look after my mother, to both breakfast and dinner buffets, they showed exceptional care. A young man at the dinner buffet even proactively found a cushion for my mother so she could elevate her injured hand (to reduce swelling), showing impressive medical knowledge. Highly recommend! We'll definitely be staying here again. I took photos of a few staff members' names and hope the hotel will commend them!

ZzhaiyouThe staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location is fantastic for shopping. We could easily walk to Mixc mall and Shangtang Street. The room was just the right size for our family – not too big, not too small. The only minor inconvenience was for those driving with luggage, as finding the hotel entrance from the parking garage wasn't super straightforward.

__WeChat262578****Unexpectedly, choosing Atour Hotel Suzhou Nanmen (Artron Hotel) at the last minute turned out to be the highlight of my trip. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient; it's just a few minutes' walk from Nanmen North Road subway station, making it easy to reach Humble Administrator's Garden and Pingjiang Road. The design is exquisite, perfectly blending the elegant charm of Suzhou with modern simplicity in both the lobby and rooms – I fell in love with it at first sight. The room was spacious and quiet, and the bedding was so comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. I especially want to commend the front desk staff; they were warm and professional, proactively offering recommendations for local food and shortcuts, which made me feel truly cared for.

GGuest UserReturning to Suzhou's old city, I checked into the Kimpton Bamboo Grove Hotel, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. It absolutely deserves a five-star rating. This boutique hotel, converted from an old establishment, is a brilliant addition to the accommodation options in the old city of Gusu, and the value for money is excellent. The hotel is ideally located in a tranquil spot amidst the bustling old town, making travel incredibly convenient. After dinner, strolling through the courtyard and outer pathways was delightful; the scenery was refreshing and pleasant. The front desk and butler service were meticulous and attentive, with smiles throughout the check-in process, which was efficient and smooth. A big thank you to Amber for arranging a balcony room on the second floor. Although the space wasn't exceptionally large, the overall design was simple yet elegant, incorporating local Jiangnan elements, creating a wonderful ambiance. The room followed a 'small yet complete' concept, with all basic living facilities readily available, clear functional zoning, and a well-placed bathtub with a sliding door design that ensured excellent privacy. The bathrobe material was also very satisfying, super comfortable. Breakfast was exquisite and delicious, a fusion of Chinese and Western cuisine that also offered local flavors, with a wide selection of cheeses and fresh fruits – all very much to my taste. The hotel caters to all ages, with young people taking photos and older guests leisurely chatting. While in Suzhou, one can hear the melodious Wu soft speech and Kunqu opera, admire delicate Su embroidery and Kesi silk with their fingertips – every step offers a poetic glimpse of Jiangnan. The ancient city is a tranquil haven amidst the bustle, where everyday life intertwines with artistic flair. From the meditative bells of Hanshan Temple to the warm local charm of the alleyways, traditional elegance and modern sophistication coexist perfectly here. It truly lives up to its reputation as a paradise on earth. For a holiday in Suzhou's old city, the Kimpton Bamboo Grove Hotel is certainly a worthy choice. Butler Amber was very thoughtful and excellent.

RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂 The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally. For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁 Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.

11862193****Stepping into Suzhou Meiliao Wuming Chu felt like opening a door to tranquility and peace. The hotel's Suzhou garden design transforms the entire space into a living, breathing ink wash painting. White walls, dark tiles, artificial rockeries, and flowing water – every step reveals a scenic view, and every turn uncovers a clever detail. This understated beauty instills a deep sense of comfort and ease. The room itself is the epitome of oriental aesthetics, with exquisite taste evident from the materials chosen to the furnishings arranged. Staying here, I felt far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, and close to an inner serenity – truly experiencing what it means to cultivate oneself. The nearby Suzhou Museum offers a close-up encounter with culture, and popular Suzhou snacks like Qiujuan, Panyulin Tangzhou, the beef pan-fried buns at Beihao Alley, and Suzhou's top-ranked Yang Zhaodi are all within easy reach, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The hotel's oxygen therapy service is not just a gimmick. With every breath, that refreshing feeling, both inside and out, swept away the fatigue of a long journey and the 'muddiness' of city life, adding a touch of lively charm to this classical elegance. What surprised me most was the breakfast. Eschewing the noise and monotony of a buffet, they offer an à la carte menu. Each dish felt tailor-made, beautifully presented, with fresh ingredients and delicate flavors. Quietly enjoying such a breakfast was not only a treat for the taste buds but also a sophisticated ritual of life. This wasn't just a stay; it was more like a spiritual cleansing. I'll definitely be back.
