I brought my elderly parents to Suzhou and booked three rooms, all of which were upgraded, which was a nice touch. The hotel has a great location and a very unique atmosphere, with an impressive entrance. Plus, it's right next to a scenic area, so we could take walks in the evening, making it perfect for a family vacation. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou. Just one suggestion though: if you order food delivery, you have to contact the driver yourself. The front desk won't handle it, and you specifically have to call the front desk for them to send a robot up with your order. The service could use some improvement.

If you could only do two things in Yangzhou, they would undoubtedly be 'admiring the gardens' and 'savoring Huaiyang cuisine'. My stay at Yangzhou Yingbin Hotel perfectly blended these two experiences, offering an unexpected feast for both my mind and body. Before checking in, I knew the hotel was located by Slender West Lake, but it wasn't until I truly stepped inside that I understood what 'a new scene with every step' really meant. The hotel itself is an exquisite Chinese-style garden, with pavilions, terraces, rockeries, and ponds artfully arranged. Strolling through the garden in the early morning or evening, sunlight streamed through the carved wooden windows, casting dappled shadows that reflected in the tranquil ponds, while white walls, dark tiles, and lush greenery complemented each other beautifully. Everywhere I looked in the garden was a vivid ink painting of Jiangnan. This immersive garden experience is something that simply visiting a regular attraction can't compare to.
If the garden satisfied my eyes, then the hotel's restaurant thoroughly conquered my stomach. The highlight of this culinary journey was here: the morning tea at Quyuan Teahouse lived up to its reputation. In the elegant setting of the tea restaurant, I savored classic hot dried shredded tofu, crab roe soup dumplings, and five-filling buns. The dim sum was meticulously prepared and authentic in taste, making breakfast feel like a special ritual. For lunch and dinner, I tried several famous Huaiyang dishes. The boiled dried shredded tofu was fresh and tender, and the Lion's Head meatball, with its perfect balance of lean and fatty meat, melted in my mouth. Each dish showcased the essence of Huaiyang cuisine's philosophy of 'using local ingredients and meticulous craftsmanship,' and the staff's descriptions of the dishes were professional and appropriate.
From the thoughtful service I received during check-in to the warm and attentive shuttle driver, every detail during my stay reflected the hotel's dedication. It's more than just a place to stay; it's a microcosm of Yangzhou culture. For travelers seeking to 'experience local character and savor culture,' this is undoubtedly an excellent choice.

The location is excellent, and the high-floor view is quite good. The afternoon tea included in the Trip.com package was incredibly good value for money, I just forgot to take a picture before eating it.
The room is quite spacious, clean, and tidy. The facilities aren't brand new; there's no high-speed hairdryer or smart toilet, and the power outlet next to the desk was a bit difficult to open. There's only one tissue box, placed on the vanity. However, these are minor issues and don't really matter; they're easily adjustable.
What I found unacceptable were two problems. Firstly, the elevator shaft connecting the suspended lobby to the first floor constantly emitted a whistling wind sound, which was noisy and unsettling. Secondly, I'm not sure if the air conditioning system is old and ineffective, or if they're saving energy and haven't turned it on properly. I couldn't adjust the temperature or mode. Outside, the temperature was dropping fast, nearing zero degrees, yet even with the in-room AC control set to 28°C, there was still no airflow. I called the front desk, and it took an age for someone to arrive. They pointed a forehead thermometer at the vent, it beeped, and they claimed the vent was blowing 26°C, saying there was no problem and that this was the set temperature, controlled centrally by the hotel. The problem is, I had the whimsical idea to hold a paper-thin tissue up to the vent, and it didn't even flutter.
I've stayed at InterContinental Nanjing quite a few times now, so I consider myself a regular. This time, I want to share my thoughts. The hotel's style is quite different from the InterContinentals in Hangzhou. Nanjing's architectural vibe leans towards old money, giving off a very opulent and luxurious feel. And it's a tall building, which I love since I enjoy staying in high-floor rooms. Looking out over Nanjing from the 65th floor is truly amazing! Plus, the natural light is fantastic; the gentle sunshine really brightens your mood.
I really need to commend the hotel's service. My butler, Alice, was incredibly attentive. She proactively asked if I needed room cleaning and how I slept. When I requested some items, Alice was super quick to deliver, and she wasn't stiff or formal like some other hotel butlers – she was very approachable. The doorman at the entrance was also great, kindly asking if I needed help with my luggage to my room and actively opening and closing the car door when I arrived.
My only minor complaint is that the hotel pillows were a bit too soft for my liking. I prefer a firmer pillow, so I woke up with a stiff neck this morning. But that's really my fault, as I only realized while packing this morning that the hotel offers a pillow menu.
Overall, InterContinental Nanjing maintains a very high standard. Even though it's been open for a while, its quality easily rivals other five-star luxury hotels. I hope the hotel continues its efforts to make guests like us feel right at home.

The Jinling Hotel truly lives up to its reputation as a long-standing five-star hotel. The staff are all incredibly professional, always smiling, and proactively offer assistance. The room was clean and well-maintained, seemingly having undergone a renovation. They successfully accommodated my request for a non-smoking and quiet room upon check-in, and the room service was exceptionally prompt. The hotel's dining experience is definitely a highlight; although Meiyuan requires waiting during peak hours, the food is genuinely delicious. The service at Golden Bay restaurant was also meticulous and thoughtful. There was a small incident when checking out: because my suitcase was relatively empty and light, I picked it up myself to carry it down the steps outside the hotel. Seeing this, two porters at the door immediately rushed over to help me.

This is my second time staying at the Crowne Plaza near Suzhou Center, and it seems my child has a special fondness for this hotel, always wanting to stay here. Downstairs, there's a children's play area, and the lobby features many models and display vehicles, which are quite impressive. I hadn't noticed before, but this time I discovered that during dinner, the lobby music wasn't from a speaker but live piano and vocal performances, which was very elegant and beautiful. The Christmas and Chinese New Year decorations created a particularly festive atmosphere. We chose window seats for both breakfast and dinner buffets, and the view was exceptional, offering sights of Jinji Lake's shoreline with speedboats and small boats. There's also a swimming pool, which the kids enjoyed, and a complimentary afternoon tea at the executive lounge. The service was meticulous. All in all, my child insisted I give it a full five-star review, and the hotel genuinely deserves it.

Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing.
This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.

Hotel is near with Shopping malls.you can find Restaurant near hotel without going to City center. Interesting Construction Design have of the hotel. We stayed on 9th Floor against to garden view. Hotel location is good. Clean rooms and friendly staff.
This was our first trip with our infant, so we chose a well-established five-star hotel hoping for a smooth experience. This InterContinental had both its pros and cons.
Pros: Excellent location. As soon as we entered the room, we were greeted with an expansive lake view. There's a large circular bathtub, perfect for baby baths.
Cons: Around 8:30 PM that day, while the baby was sleeping, the room phone suddenly rang. It was guest relations calling to check on our stay. The sudden ringing startled the baby so much... and it scared me too! I don't understand why they had to call at that hour; even if we hadn't been sleeping, it would have been a shock.
The dust on the night light strip in the room was very noticeable when the light was on.

SSingaporean MammalWhat we liked:
Spacious and nice room design.
Separate bath and toilet.
Toilet has automatic flush, seat cover is also provided. Lots of snacks and amenities provided.
There are amenities at the front desk such as disposable bath cover, disposable floss, mask etc you can collect from front desk.
You can also ask for warm bottled water.
Responsive staff, can communicate your needs via WeChat, very convenient.
There are 3 lifts, very convenient.
Snacks and drinks are free.
Bath robes, room and bath slippers are provided too. Awesome that we stayed on the same floor as the lobby, very convenient.
Location is near metro, malls, shops, and attractions, very convenient.
I like that there are bath robes and different types of towels provided.
What we think can be improved:
We thought the big bath was indoors and wouldn’t be so cold in the winter but it has two open windows and it gets quite cold when the wind blows. It takes about 1.5h to fill up about 60-70% of the tub and you need to tap every 30 minutes or so to keep the water flowing. Quite time consuming to get it ready for a bath.
Housekeeping is inconsistent, the cleaner left a towel on the floor on one of the days, left a cup unwashed, took away our straws and left the sink cover by the sink instead.
They have a centralised heating system so it can get quite hot but the staff offered us a fan and we opened the balcony door for wind to enter so it was comfortable to sleep at night.
There was some drilling going on in the early morning around 9-10am, it was just opposite our room so it disrupted my sleep, would be better for them to schedule it during non-sleeping hours.
When we were checking out, the staff at the counter shared about them getting audited and if we don’t give a five star review, they will get a fine, I had never heard of it from other hotels and found it quite strange. She was insistent on us doing it on the spot even though we have to catch a train, that was not pleasant. We just went ahead to rush for our train.
Not much to watch on the TV unfortunately.
MM293047****I was really impressed by the hotel's facilities during this stay, definitely a five-star review! The amenities in the common areas are especially thoughtful. The 24-hour gym is fully equipped with treadmills, dumbbells, and yoga mats, so I could keep up with my workouts even on a business trip. The self-service laundry room has everything you need—washers, dryers, and detergent—making it perfect for long-term guests who don't have to worry about laundry anymore. Even the lobby's lounge area is well-designed, with comfortable sofas and charging outlets, making it convenient for working or waiting for friends. A hotel with such great facilities and attention to detail is perfect for both business and leisure travel. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!
MM45894****Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou is hands down the best pet-friendly hotel! We stayed in a pet-friendly courtyard room, which had its own private courtyard. It was super safe for our fur-baby to run around, with an enclosed space so we didn't have to worry about them getting lost. The pet amenities were incredible – a full set of dog supplies, a dedicated dining area for pets, and even a pet-walking route. Best of all, there was no pet cleaning fee! The room was spotless and tidy. Amber even prepared a handwritten welcome card and a small gift for us, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The hotel has so many picturesque spots. We took photos sunbathing in the courtyard, by the canal, and in the lobby with its Suzhou garden style – every shot captured that beautiful Jiangnan ambiance. The pet-friendly dining area by the canal has an amazing view of bridges, flowing water, and houses. We went during off-peak hours and had the whole place to ourselves! Our fur-baby could stay right by our side, no need to leave them alone in the room. Breakfast was both delicious and beautifully presented; the freshly made Suzhou noodles were especially tasty with a very fresh broth.
Located in the old city, the hotel is within walking distance of the Master of the Nets Garden, Canglang Pavilion, and Shiquan Street, making it super convenient for exploring and dining. Kylie, the hotel's resident dog, is a sweet and friendly princess who loved playing with our dog. Compared to other pet-friendly hotels we've stayed at along our journey, the value for money here is quite good. We'll definitely be staying at Kimpton Bamboo Grove again next time!
XXigualiyouxiguaziaEnvironment: The environment is excellent. Even though the street right outside the hotel entrance is bustling, once you step inside, it's a peaceful oasis.
Hygiene: Very clean, no issues there.
Service: The front desk lady who checked me in had a wonderful attitude. She even upgraded my room for free, which was very considerate and really showed they cater to guests' needs!
Welcome fruits & snacks: The fruit was very fresh, and the breakfast was delicious too.

11396148****When we arrived, the dam had been repaired, and we could see the beautiful view of Tianmu Lake from the hotel door. The hotel housekeeper contacted us in advance, and we stayed in the private soup room and gave us fish head vouchers. For other dishes, we ordered black rice and The small bamboo shoots are quite delicious when cooked, and the experience is still very good!
XXiaoyouchengThe bed was massive, felt like 2.4 meters! The hotel environment is super nice, very clean, and luxurious. There were also many international guests. There's an outlet mall nearby, within walking distance, but I didn't go. The styles and brands weren't that impressive. I chose this hotel because I was here for Brother Sheng's concert, and it was close by. It was really good!
RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂
The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally.
For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁
Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.
11862193****Stepping into Suzhou Meiliao Wuming Chu felt like opening a door to tranquility and peace. The hotel's Suzhou garden design transforms the entire space into a living, breathing ink wash painting. White walls, dark tiles, artificial rockeries, and flowing water – every step reveals a scenic view, and every turn uncovers a clever detail. This understated beauty instills a deep sense of comfort and ease.
The room itself is the epitome of oriental aesthetics, with exquisite taste evident from the materials chosen to the furnishings arranged. Staying here, I felt far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, and close to an inner serenity – truly experiencing what it means to cultivate oneself. The nearby Suzhou Museum offers a close-up encounter with culture, and popular Suzhou snacks like Qiujuan, Panyulin Tangzhou, the beef pan-fried buns at Beihao Alley, and Suzhou's top-ranked Yang Zhaodi are all within easy reach, making it incredibly convenient to get around.
The hotel's oxygen therapy service is not just a gimmick. With every breath, that refreshing feeling, both inside and out, swept away the fatigue of a long journey and the 'muddiness' of city life, adding a touch of lively charm to this classical elegance.
What surprised me most was the breakfast. Eschewing the noise and monotony of a buffet, they offer an à la carte menu. Each dish felt tailor-made, beautifully presented, with fresh ingredients and delicate flavors. Quietly enjoying such a breakfast was not only a treat for the taste buds but also a sophisticated ritual of life.
This wasn't just a stay; it was more like a spiritual cleansing. I'll definitely be back.
