This place was great...they moved us to a new room bigger room because ours wasn't ready at no extra cost and we were actually checking in early and didn't charge for that either...lovely staff clean rooms and awesome breakfast...at check in they even give complimentary warm chocolate chip cookies and the were amazing...nice touch💜
All in all, was very satisfied with all amenities and pleasantly surprised by the weather which looked foreboding at times but cleared out. The only negative was the parking which is in a remote location and I believe charged daily for use, oh well, can't have it all. The beach, pool, pier and food made it worth it. Will visit again.

This hotel is very nice, clean. I do not believe that I will stay again due to not being able to control the thermostat. I had to call front desk for them to adjust. PAIN!

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel was clean and in a great location for the reason I was in Birmingham. It was near to the event that I was attending. The sink in my room had a stopper that prevented the water from escaping when I did not want it to collect in the sink during activities such as brushing my teeth and washing my face. The water was also cold and took an excessively long time to heat up even a little bit. It was not even lukewarm. Therefore, I checked out and was unable to shower. My son actually took a cold shower on a cold day, one of the coldest that we have had in Alabama in a while. I was also awakened by an emergency message and alarm to vacate the building due to an emergency only to learn later that it was a test. I learned this when the fire truck arrived and I heard an employee apologizing for not calling them to let them know that it was only a test. I only stayed overnight so there was no other opportunity for me to get a better impression. The only reason that I did not give a lower rating for the facilities is because once I reported the issue with the shower and sink, they sent a handy man to the room to make the repairs, but my son was already taking a cold shower at the time since we were scheduled to get back home to meet previously scheduled obligations. The staff person who was checking me out said that she couldn't do anything for me because I booked through a third party. However, she did state that she would refund the money that I paid for parking.
SSissyBurlsThe hotel was super nice! The biggest two things that stood out was first the customer service was u matched!! As soon as you walk in the door your greeted with a smiling face and everyone was very accommodating and happy to help or guide in anyway possible! Number two the smell was absolutely by far the best! The entire hotel smelled so good!! The rooms were very nice and cleaned. The beds were super comfy! And the indoor/outdoor pool/hot tub was a plus for the kids! Will definitely be back again!
GGuest UserThis is a historic location and is very lovely. Unfortunately it sits near the interstate so it was not a quiet night of rest but wasn’t intolerable. The bed was very comfortable so I was able to sleep well in spite of the traffic noise. This is not a typical hotel…there is no lobby or room service so come prepared with your own snacks, drinks, etc. Don’t get me wrong…I loved staying there and will definitely be going back!

GGuest User1. Bathroom sink did not drain. The hinge to raise & lower was broken. Sink filled full of water—husband had to take a spoon in the drain once he was able to get it open to allow water to drain.
2. Shower had horrible water pressure. It took forever to get my hair washed and then rinse out conditioner
GGuest UserIf you are going to the US Space and Rocket Center, then this is definitely your hotel as you only need to walk to the place.
The downside is that you are a bit isolated, especially if you want to eat food outside what the hotel can serve.
GGuest UserVery clean and good service, it was a very satisfying stay!
The rooms are clean and clean, and it is a beach resort hotel based on white.
Also, the pool is compact but calm, and the beach is also calm with a private beach.
Because it was a couple without children, I was very satisfied with the hotel stay in a calm environment.
GGuest UserGreat customer service. Frequent traveler to this location. The cleanliness of room was below my standards. Hotel worked to resolve the problem quickly. I will go back again.
