5-Star Hotels in Fujian, China

The room was bright and spacious, which was nice, but it would have been great to have a delivery robot for food. The front desk and room service staff were very satisfactory. It's also quite convenient for getting around with plenty of food options nearby. However, it seems to be in an old town area, and the main road in front is under construction, which is a bit annoying.

Facilities: Well-equipped. Cleanliness: Very clean. Perfect for family trips. Environment: The swimming pool is fantastic. The kids wanted to swim every day. Service: Very good. The location is central, making it convenient to get everywhere. There's a night market right downstairs, and a great food stall area (dà pái dàng) with delicious food directly across the street – all newly opened. The owner is very nice, and the prices are very affordable. The BBQ is also tasty. The kids are already asking to go back next time.

I want to give a special shout-out to our floor housekeeper (Meimei). She's incredibly diligent and responsible. The room was always spotless and felt brand new every time we entered, with excellent attention to detail. She's also very humble and kind, always ready to help with any small requests. Her service deserves full marks!

What a waste of a good location, the service was absolutely disgusting, I'm never coming back! I was traveling with my child and had a reservation. We arrived at 1:30 PM, only to be told there were no rooms available and we had to wait. Fine, I'll wait. But when I asked when a room would be ready, they said they didn't know, just 'before 3 PM,' with a totally impatient attitude. Finally, at 3:26 PM, they told me a room was ready... Okay, I swallowed that. But then they insisted I provide my infant child's household registration or ID? My kid has been on planes and high-speed trains without needing an ID, why is it different here? I even endured that. The worst part was the staff member's even more atrocious attitude. She threatened me, saying if I didn't show the child's ID, she'd call the duty manager!! Are you kidding me? Am I here to be threatened by you? I've stayed in 95% of five-star hotels all over the world, and none of them have such unique requirements. If your rules are different, can't you just explain it properly? Why threaten guests???? Why don't you just call the police and accuse me of child trafficking??? What a joke!!!!!!!!!!

My overall stay at the Shangri-La Fuzhou was excellent. The room was spacious and bright, and the facilities were comprehensive, making for a very comfortable stay. There was a minor issue during my stay, but the staff handled it promptly and sincerely after I contacted them, resolving the problem perfectly. The service was very responsible, and I would definitely recommend it.

For my trip to Fuzhou, I chose the Sanmar Hilton by the Min River, and overall, the experience was quite reliable. The most unique feature is definitely its 'sky lobby' – check-in is on the 40th floor. As soon as you step out of the elevator, the panoramic view is stunning, and the front desk staff were efficient. I stayed in a high-floor river view room (48th floor), and the full-height windows offered an absolutely fantastic view. By day, you can watch boats on the Min River, and by night, it's the bustling CBD city lights. Being able to take in the entire city's scenery from bed was a huge plus. The room itself was spacious and well-laid out. The bedding had that classic 'cloud-like' feel, and there was a good selection of pillows, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub, which was great for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The housekeeper also thoughtfully checked in daily to ask about any replenishment needs, which was another nice touch.

How many times have I been to Conrad? I've lost count, but whenever I think of Xiamen, Conrad always comes to mind. The location is undeniably great, though you should be prepared for potential traffic. The in-room dining service at night could use some improvement, but the ambiance and service are otherwise impeccable. The only minor drawback is that the rooms are definitely showing their age; some of the switches and maintenance could be better. I'll still be back next time!

Our overall experience during this stay was incredibly satisfying. The pool team, in particular, was outstanding. Special mention goes to Chen and Li, who worked from 6 AM to 3 PM; they displayed exceptional professionalism. They were consistently focused and responsible during their shifts, never distracted by their phones, always attentive to the children's safety, and provided meticulous and appropriate service. Their dedication and expertise left us with a very deep and positive impression of the hotel, even making us consider extending our stay. While I don't recall the names of the other pool staff, they too left a strong and positive impression.

The hotel boasts an elegant and tranquil atmosphere, with a grand, spacious feel. The room facilities are comprehensive and user-friendly, and I particularly loved the buckwheat pillow. The cleanliness is impeccable; everything is spotless and refreshing. Echo at the front desk was very polite and responsive to our needs, even helping us arrange a car for check-out. Plus, it's conveniently located next to the Taihe commercial area, making shopping and dining a breeze. It was a truly comfortable and pleasant stay with an excellent overall experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers.

The room was great, just like the pictures and videos I saw online. The hotel is quite large, so we had to take a shuttle whenever we went out, but the staff provided excellent service – the shuttle arrived promptly every time we called. The hotel's breakfast buffet is definitely worth mentioning; although the variety wasn't extensive, the food was delicious!
