Lovely staff, but the water dispenser is a ”tall” order. The staff really go out of their way to help. Only problem was the water dispenser. It’s placed on a table, making it tower over me. As a short girl, using the hot water felt a bit like a stunt from a movie 😂 I was terrified of a hot splash to the face! It would be much better if it were placed at a lower, safer height. And also location prefectly in heart of bentong, walking distance to Bukit Do.. everywhere. Nasi Kandar 24h across the street.
I almost fell into depression in this hotel room. It's extremely cramped, smoky, and downright uncomfortable. A piece of the bathroom soap holder fell off (photo attached).
The room had a tiny window, but it didn't open and was tightly curtained. It felt almost like being in a coffin.
The pillows smelled like dog urine. Sleeping was extremely uncomfortable. As a result, there was practically no outside air flow, forcing you to turn on the air conditioning at night, and you wake up in the morning feeling sleep-deprived and with a headache.
Furthermore, the hotel asks for an additional RM10+2 upon check-in, citing government taxes.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel; it was one of the worst experiences I've had in this country, and in my travels in general.
The only positives are decent WiFi and hot water with good pressure.
Other than being a bit noisy without soundproofing, the basics were met as the room was clean, including the beddings. The aircon was superb, as it was cold enough. The toilet flushing system was also good; they just forgot to provide toilet roll! 🤔
Generally, recommended for a short stay. 😊
Great services and the recipionist were friendly and helpful , however the location was great and convinience most popular attraction can get there by the walk. the room was tidy and clean also spacious not too small . Only downside is the lift is quite small it can't fit above 5 person at once .
I recently stayed here for a business trip with four colleagues. We booked five separate rooms, choosing this location based on its competitive pricing and convenient location. While the physical property itself is impressive, the management process left a lot to be desired.
The Good: Comfort & Space
Rooms: The rooms are genuinely clean, neat, and very spacious. For the price point, the value of the actual living space is excellent.
Parking: Finding parking was easy and secure, which was a major plus for our group as we had our own vehicles.
Location: Perfectly situated for getting around Kuantan efficiently.
The Bad: Maintenance & Missing Basics
The property feels slightly neglected in terms of upkeep. In my specific room:
The shower head holder was loose, making it difficult to use.
There were no floor mats provided, which is a basic necessity to avoid tracking water across the room after a shower.
The Ugly: Management & Customer Service
This is where the experience fell short. The administrative side of this stay was disorganized and stressful:
Automated Communication: Their chat system is powered by an AI that provides ”canned” answers. It failed to address any of our specific questions, making communication feel like a dead end.
Check-in Delays: We weren't sent the check-in passwords on time. We had to track down a separate person-in-charge just to get access to our rooms late in the day.
Pricing Inconsistencies: The documentation stated a RM50 deposit per room, but we were charged RM60. While the amount is small, the inconsistency feels unprofessional and creates a lack of trust.
Final Verdict: If you value space and price above all else, this is a solid choice. However, be prepared to fight for your check-in details and deal with a non-responsive service team. I hope management fixes their communication flow and updates their facilities soon.
The hotel must've seen a more glorious past. Service wise, the hotel staffs are responsive. Facilities wise, it is still adequate. Beyond sleep and bath, I doubt there is much else to do in the premise. Safe neighbourhood.
The picture is irrelevant, sorry. This is my second time staying here. The admin was nice and gave me a room downstairs. The Milo always runs out quickly. Self check-in. You have to WhatsApp/call the hotel. It's close to the city center. There's plenty of parking, but you have to pay the city council quickly in the morning because it's a famous spot for getting fined.
the room was clean, the bed was soft so as the blanket and pillow,we had a really good sleep.
the toilet have good space, and water heater also working good.
the aircond also working good, only our room got window but facing building so couldnt see anything.
the location is few kilometers from town centre and about 7km from UIA kuantan where our event was.
there was lift for hotel, the lobby also quite clean and properly arranged.
one bad thing is the t.v was not working at all for our 2 night stay.the reception didnt inform anything to us until we curious why the t.v was plugged off.after call the reception only they tell the t.v channel got problem, and we had to stay there 2 nights without watching anything, quite bored.even the 2nd night it was not fix and looks like nobody attended to this problem.
Didn’t take any photo of the room/ hotel because satisfaction was average only. Do our check in half way & the staff went to wash her hand make us wait at the counter. Room got many dust. Advantage: only 3km+ away from Teluk cempedak , price ok
We were initially assigned a room on the upper floor, but since my wife recently broke her left leg, I requested a room on the lower floor. We were able to switch to a downstairs room, and I'm very grateful to the administration for accommodating our request. So far, the room is good, but there's no mini-fridge. It would be great if there was one so we could keep our food and drinks cold and prevent them from spoiling.

GGuest UserHi, the price was great and included breakfast. However, the breakfast menu was quite disappointing.
The front office service was excellent—there was a staff member (I’m sorry I didn’t catch his name) who was especially helpful. The maintenance team was also superb.
However, it was quite frustrating when we were already tired and the room’s electricity kept tripping repeatedly, and we eventually had to change rooms. Initially, there were no towels provided as well.
Overall, it was an okay stay.

Staycation: Rovers Inn Guest House Tanah Rata Cameron.
Room type: Quadraple room for 2 adult 2 kids. No breakfast ya... can go out for eat or can ”tapaw” nearby and santai² makan outside lobby area. Can go down and make ur tea @ coffee for free of charges. Got quite hour 11pm-7am. However you can go anywhere you want. Given entrance door key in case you come back late night.

TTini88Not recommend for holiday unless you just want a short stay.
Near roadside and mosque, noisy, can’t sleep well at night
Old hotel, old carpet, shower may a problem, water not hot enough in cold weather.
Difficult to get parking place
The only good thing is strategy location, convenience to get what you want in the Brinchang town.

MMuhammad Saad E ElaheeIt was okie though at first when I checked in, found blood strain in their curtain though later on I asked to change off then the front office changes it accordingly.
GGuest Userout of the town enough that everything is walking distance but not too noisy with traffic. Many social areas and water dispenser which is always appreciated. Additionally a few friendly felines around the property
CC Ta homestay*************. Bilik family room yg selesa. Perkhidmatan pelanggan yg mesra bila masa check in hotel. Hotel dekat dengan Jeti tanjung gemok. Senang nk cari makan mlm
AAmalazmThe family room was quite spacious, the bed size is like a double super single, which was OK for our family.
However, there were several disappointing issues. The toilet had cockroaches, the area under the bed was dirty, and my child even found a child’s underwear left there, which was very unpleasant. The wooden part of the bed frame near the headboard was broken and seemed to be covered with pillows instead of being properly fixed. The bedsheets and pillowcases were also noticeably dirty.
On Labour Day night, it was very noisy with a group of people parading outside late at night. The room was also not soundproof at all. you could clearly hear people outside and from the next room.
There was a large family staying on the same floor, and they were extremely loud, talking in the hallway with their doors open as if it was their own house. It was noisy at 11PM until 1AM and again at 5AM! 😡 My husband had to go out and ask them to keep it down before we could finally sleep.
If you are particular about cleanliness and a quiet environment, I would not recommend staying here.
