5-Star Hotels in Gansu, China

This is the first time I've specifically waited to review a hotel: 1. Location: Less than 10 minutes from the high-speed train station, very convenient. 2. Service: Beyond five-star service! They added me on WeChat in advance, and all the hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, from bottled water available everywhere to free laundry and drying facilities, complete with laundry detergent. In the evenings, there were complimentary sweet soups, milk, and pastries. It was so convenient when traveling with a child and ordering extra food. There were welcome gifts upon check-in and also gifts upon check-out, plus a play area for kids. An excellent hotel! 👍👍👍

This Hyatt truly impressed me so much that I'd come back to the city just to stay here again. First, the location is absolutely excellent. It's within walking distance to many key attractions, which is a huge plus considering Lanzhou's traffic can be quite bad due to its geography. Being able to walk to most places you want to visit is undoubtedly the best option. Next, the ambiance and service: the room offered beautiful views of the Yellow River, was spacious and comfortable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and meticulous. A young man at the front desk even extended my check-out time after learning about my flight schedule, which I really appreciated! The breakfast was extensive, featuring many local specialties, so you can enjoy authentic Lanzhou flavors without even leaving the hotel – fantastic! The hotel also has a free self-service laundry room, which is an absolute lifesaver. You can wash and dry everything within an hour, completely hassle-free! Everything else was great too; finding such a satisfying hotel during a trip is truly a joy! I hope the hotel continues to thrive, and I extend my most sincere thanks to the wonderful staff!

For this trip to the Northwest, we stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at both the beginning and end. We stayed in two different rooms for a total of three nights, and it was very comfortable. Returning the car was also convenient. The hotel even upgraded our room type and provided free breakfast for our child. The hotel's beef noodles were delicious, and the freshly squeezed juice was very refreshing.

1. The hotel offers a complimentary airport pick-up service, and from the moment I was greeted, I could feel the staff's warm hospitality. 2. I absolutely loved the hotel's 'wild luxury' aesthetic – it's simple yet grand, with a unique and pleasant aroma. 3. The hotel's travel photography service is outstanding! I got the best set of photos I've ever had. Both the makeup artist and photographer were incredibly professional. I was instantly thrilled with the retouched photos just 5 minutes after the shoot, and even more delighted to learn they'd spend another three days on meticulous post-processing. The terrace above the lobby offers a fantastic photo op, especially with the red canopy against the desert backdrop – it's truly magnificent and a unique scene. 4. Given how dry Dunhuang is, the hotel thoughtfully provided complimentary face masks and lotion. 5. They also offered a free transfer to my next hotel.

The room will be upgraded, the view room is very nice, corner room. There is humidifier in the room, it is very dry at night, there is also body lotion and sleeping spray. The hotel is very close to the subway station, it is very convenient to go anywhere.

I was really satisfied with my stay this time! The hotel's overall facilities are brand new and impressive, and the decor is particularly stylish. The room itself was spacious and well-laid-out, making for a very comfortable stay. I absolutely have to give a special shout-out to Kyrie at the front desk. She was incredibly enthusiastic and meticulous during check-in, going out of her way to help coordinate and arrange the room type. The room had an amazing view, offering expansive scenery, and the mattress and soft furnishings inside were incredibly comfortable. I had a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep. Furthermore, the service from Miho at the Executive Lounge also deserves high praise. She was attentive and warm throughout, even proactively helping to serve food. The drinks and food were replenished promptly. Whether it was for a relaxing break or just a quick stop, the atmosphere was fantastic, and I felt very well looked after the entire time. Everyone was so pleased and really wished we could have stayed longer!

I chose this hotel because it's the closest to Lanzhou West Station and offers a shuttle service. During check-in, I immediately booked the shuttle for the next day. The hotel called the following morning to say that due to the rain, the shuttle would leave 30 minutes earlier. So we went to the lobby to wait for the car. We were almost late for our train when the driver finally showed up in a 7-seater vehicle. There were 9 of us, so two people had to share a seat. Instead of dropping us off at the departure gate, we were taken to the underground parking lot. Everyone had to run to the ticket gate to catch the train. It was a bad experience.

Overall, a fantastic stay! Lanzhou Airport is one of the furthest from the city center, making this hotel the top choice for early morning or late-night transfers. First, the positives: 1. Excellent service: Both the front desk staff and the shuttle drivers were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Before arrival, the hotel proactively called to provide the shuttle contact number. Even arriving after 10 PM, a quick call had a driver there to pick us up. 2. Great location: It's very close to the airport, just a 3-minute drive. 3. Wonderful room: The layout is very practical, with distinct areas for the sleeping area, vanity, shower, and toilet, which is efficient. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. 4. Delicious breakfast: It was quite substantial and varied. **Only 60 for two people.** Areas for improvement: 1. The curtains weren't thick enough; the room got bright around 6 AM. I suggest adding a pelmet. 2. The duvet was a bit too thick. These minor issues don't detract from the overall experience. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time.

I absolutely loved this hotel! From the moment I stepped into the room, I was impressed by how clean and comfortable it was. The sheets and towels were spotless, and this fresh, cozy environment really made my trip more relaxing and enjoyable. I even had a beautiful view of the Yellow River from my room, which was especially stunning at night. I also want to give a special shout-out to Da Yanlong for the swift check-in process and for patiently answering all my questions with such a warm and friendly attitude – it really made me feel welcome. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with a great variety of fruits and pastries. Overall, I highly recommend it and would definitely come back given the chance!

The room was large, spacious, and bright. The customer service manager, Anna, contacted us a day in advance to arrange airport pickup, which was a very thoughtful touch. Upon arrival, she was incredibly attentive, arranging a perfectly located room that our child absolutely loved. We also received a fruit voucher and complimentary breakfast. Considering that other hotels like all-season are priced at 800-900 during the summer holidays, the Sheraton offers excellent value for money. It's also just over a kilometer from the Dunhuang Night Market in the city center. Highly recommended!
