Another unpleasant experience during recent stay. Kinda upset that the hotel didn’t even bother to read my special request that I have indicated in my booking a week before the check in. Regularly staying here for my business trip, and this is not the first time they disappointed me.
Reached hotel at 5pm after long business meeting, and been told my room is facing the pool side and at lower floor. I have clearly indicated higher floor and river view which I have been staying in the same floor / same room during each of my stay. But they’re totally not aware I have indicated such request for my booking and ended up I waited for almost 40min++ for them to get another river view room ready for me. Before they do so, they actually asked me to wait until 8pm if I want a river view room which I’m totally speechless. I’ve booked for premier room not standard room, and kinda shocked when I heard that remarks from the receptionist
Location is definitely very strategic.
I hope the next trip I won’t get disappointed again.

Cannot expect much as the room design a bit old. Especially the bathroom. But still okay. The iron board is there but cant find the iron. For the breakfast, waiting to get an omelte is too long plus the staff who do it not pratice good hygine.

We just returned from a night stay at Rosa. The location although is not too perfect for a family with toddler, it is only a 10 to 15-minute walk from Jonker Night Market and river cruise. We ordered e-hailing but the road where this hotel is located is very busy especially during public holiday thus we have to wait for 20-30 minutes to get our 6 seater ride. The staff, especially the doorman and guys at the front desk, were incredibly welcoming. Our room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many local options. However, the egg station was busy this time around with the trainee cook not sure how to use the stove and a group of over-friendly makciks and tauke-soh keep commenting and asking the trainee about their order. All in all, our stay is ok. However, we will definitely be back prepared!”

I returned to this hotel because they offer breakfast until noon. The convenient services and spacious rooms were also major drawcards. What I really love is the redwood boardwalk right next to the hotel. It leads to wetlands with beautiful river views, full of fish and even some intimidating monitor lizards that sometimes crawl out of the water – they can look like crocodiles if you're not paying attention!
This place is close to the old town but without any of the noise, making it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The hotel also has a ferry that can take you to the old town. If you want to avoid traffic jams there, the ferry is a great option. Alternatively, you can walk along the riverside path to the old town, passing by the Zheng He Museum where you can learn about his expeditions and achievements.
The hotel's location is great, within walking distance of Malacca's old town. When I checked in, the Malaysian lady at the front desk collected a 50 RM cash deposit from me (which another front desk staff member refunded when I checked out the next day). Additionally, she charged an extra 28 RM for some unknown fee (Ctrip showed an 8 RM world heritage fee was due). I stayed for two nights, and Ctrip deducted 475.47 RMB upon checkout.
Room 512 faces west, offering an open view of St. Paul's Hill. The room didn't have a safe or slippers, but it did have a refrigerator, toothbrush, hairdryer, wardrobe, and hangers. The air conditioning was central and could be set to a very low temperature.
Upon entering, I accidentally pressed the 'make up room' button next to the door. Later, after I had gone to bed, a staff member rang the doorbell to clean. They were very responsible; I had to get dressed and explain in person that I didn't need the service before they left.

Stayed here with my wife for 2 nights—overall a comfortable and value-for-money stay.
Spacious, modern room with a nice semi-partition layout that gives a studio feel. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Basic amenities were neatly packed, and the kitchenette is a useful addition.
Location is slightly away from Jonker Street but still just a short drive, which helps avoid the crowd. Service was smooth and efficient throughout.
Good balance of space, comfort, and affordability. Solid choice for a short getaway.

There is a coach station at this hotel, convenient for travellers. Our room was available for early check-in at 12pm, allowed us to drop-off our bags and start exploring Malacca. The room size is decent for 2, relatively clean, the bed is comfortable. Some areas with minor torn wall paper, some stains on the edges of tiles in the bath room but not too much a concern considering the room rates compared to newer hotels.
room was very spacious, nicely furnished, with amazing views of the entire melaka city and the strait of malacca. the rooftop pool is really nice as well, as it is an infinity pool with shelter also having amazing views so you can go swim even if it’s raining. hotel is in a very good location as well, being close to many food options just downstairs and a 10 minute walk from the main red square melaka river jonker walk area.
however, the only issue was the aircon. they did not turn on the aircon in the corridors at all, so it feels very stuffy and warm. we told the staff about it but they seemed to have done nothing about it, seeing all the previous reviews complaining about this as well. the aircon in the room was also very weak, it took hours to cool the entire room down but after a while it was fine. hopefully they can revamp the a/c system because this hotel is really good if not for the a/c issues.
The room was beautiful and very spacious, with a stunning view from a high floor. The location was excellent and convenient for getting around. I was especially impressed with the warm hospitality — the reception staff were attentive, professional, and took great care of me throughout my stay. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience.
The hotel’s location is absolutely excellent—right in the heart of Jonker Walk. Everything is just steps away, whether you want to explore the night market, enjoy local food, or grab a casual drink in the evening. It’s incredibly convenient and perfect for a lively yet effortless stay.
One of the best parts is that room service is available until 10:30 PM, so even if you don’t feel like heading out, you can still enjoy a delicious meal comfortably in your room.
The breakfast spread is impressive and truly delicious. There is a wide variety of options, including Nyonya cuisine, Western dishes, porridge, Malay noodles, pasta, croissants, and fresh fruits—something for every taste.
The hotel’s design reflects a beautiful Baba-Nyonya style, creating a charming and relaxing holiday atmosphere. There is also a small rooftop water play area where kids can splash around and have lots of fun, which adds a lovely family-friendly touch to the stay.
Overall, the experience was exceptional—truly a perfect stay from start to finish!

Great
We stayed at Baba House Melaka to celebrate our New Year and anniversary as newlyweds, and it was lovely. The hotel is cozy, uniquely designed, and perfect for a couple’s getaway. Friendly staff, great location, and a peaceful vibe made our stay comfy and so relaxing. So recommended! ✨
Convenient location, right where the bus from Singapore have a stop at. It's also where the Buses back to Singapore will pickup passengers. Also just a short walk to multiple malls, including a sheltered 10min walk all the way to A Famosa, and another 10min walk to the Jonker Street entrance. Also close to multiple great restaurants (Atlantic Nyonya, Ee Ji Ban) and massage places. Service was friendly and helpful, and though my checkin was delayed by 30min as the room wasn't ready, they allowed checkout till 1230pm so net-net I guess haha! Although I didn't have any meals at the restaurant, the staff was kind enough to provide utensils and a bowl when I requested one for my grabfood. Room-wise, it was sufficient and decent for its price. Bed was comfortable, Aircon was cool, and cleanliness passable. Only a few minor issues like some stains at the corner of the bedsheets, no shaver set, and the poor quality TV. I think the most bothersome was that the walls and door let in sounds so easily and we had the misfortune of having elderly Vietnamese tourists staying around us who talk so loudly and with a tendency to chat along the hallway. Otherwise, really recommend Estadia Hotel for anyone looking for an affordable and comfortable stay at Melaka!
Nice place for families outing with great and warmest environment as well as great facilities. We enjoyed the great breakfast and great swimming pool throughout out staycation.
The hotel is conveniently located near the toll, making it easy to access. It is an older property, and the furniture reflects that, but it is still functional. Cleanliness is maintained at a moderate level. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, which adds to the overall experience. The highlight of the stay is the FunPlay water park—kids absolutely loved it and had a fantastic time. The breakfast spread is impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from.Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we would likely visit again.
Big and clean room with a high-rise building view. Surely recommend for the good location where is very close to the river and has an extremely quiet environment.
My stay was perfect as this hotel have all these: 1. ample parking space just infront of the hotel 2. spacious room with ironboard, fridge, kettle, tea & coffee and drinking water 3. big bathroom with toothbrush, body wash, shampoo towel, face towel and toilet with bidet 4. hotel breakfast if purchased with room was good and compliments to the chef also the service assistant rahman was efficient. 5. checking in and out was fast.
An extend review from my previous post as I extended my stay at this hotel. Their in room dining was superb! Our kids love their vast variety of menus they could choose from. I truly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be coming back!
