3-Star Hotels in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan

It is a bit surprising and disappointing that there is no coin laundry (laundry) facility in the hotel. It is the newest building in the area, so the facilities are clean and good. As shown in the attached photo, the hotel is on the 6th floor. As expected from a hot spring village, the large bath is said to be 100% heated, non-salted water. The water is good. Even just taking a bath costs 1,500 yen, but I used it for 70,000 won per night for 2 nights and 3 days from Monday to Tuesday, so I am satisfied. I do not recommend breakfast, but they also provide the famous dish Kawarasoba for dinner, so I recommend it if you want to eat it once. The cost is 4,950 yen. Check-in is at 4 p.m., but unlike other hotels, they are not very flexible, and if there is a vacancy, they will help you check in from 3 p.m. This is the best advantage. There is a Lawson convenience store right in front, and next to it is a tourist information center, foot bath, and potable hot water, so it is the best location. If you walk about 15 minutes towards Yamaguchi, you will find NHK and the central park is pleasant and nice.

After enjoying the hot springs that evening, we enjoyed a kaiseki meal—Yamaguchi Prefecture's famous fugu cuisine. 😋 It was our first time eating fugu. They had fugu sashimi, a small hot pot, fugu chawanmushi, and small fugu tempura. 😅 The waiters were very attentive, explaining the ingredients and cooking methods for each dish so we could savor the flavors. It was much better than our previous experiences at other hot spring inns. A big plus! 👍

Rooms were clean, check in was easy, breakfast was satisfactory. The info related to parking in the reviews is incorrect. The hotel does not have its own parking and you need to use pay parking close by the hotel. There are several options at different price levels, and the hotel recommends which one to use upon check-in but be advised that the parking lots begin to fill up as the day gets later so the later you arrive, the more you pay for parking, and hopefully all does not fill up. Overall, I would go back if I the area, it was a great price / value.

Experience to do. Very close to the airport but out of the way for restaurants and clubs in general. The staff at the reception is very polite and helps you with everything. Upon arrival in addition to the toiletries you have the possibility of choosing trays of frozen food. The room including the bathroom is very small but has everything you need and is fine for one night. The linen as well as the cleanliness is excellent. Excellent solution for being close to the airport.

The quality of the hotel was enough for one night. There was amenities, bathtub, and a TV. It is located right in front of Shimonoseki Station which is great.

My flight arrival on the early morning, and reached the hotel around 13.45-14.00. And I wanna leave luggages at the room and hope to hurry to visit another sightseeing on afternoon. But actually the hotel ignore early check-in, so I must paid 1000 yen for nothing to do at the room. I think the hotel don’t get any good mindset to traveler and don’t have any flexible about the rule of conditions. Traveling at japan disappoints and more getting tired to understand their service mind.

The atmosphere of the small hotel with a sense of age and the Changmen of the small city of Yamaguchi Prefecture is very suitable. The room and foreign style are just right for the family of three. Come here to fish and return late at night. If you sleep for one night, the overall is greater than expected. I wish the price of the third day is cheaper than the Japanese online booking. A dinner money. Just ate the nearby izakaya, the surrounding food and beverage shops were full of fireworks, the street was no one in the store but the people were moving, the breakfast the next day was simple and exquisite, and the cafe decoration was back to the Showa era. Location is convenient, 5-minute walk from JR Shimonoseki Station - through the footbridge or the underpass (footbridge recommended if you are carrying with you large pieces of luggage as elevators are available). Room setting is great - I especially liked the couch area. Cleanliness was acceptable, but could have been even better. Coin laundry machines at the hotel are among the best I've tried - the passcode lock feature of the machines prevents your clothing items from being mistakenly taken by others.

It was an amazing experience in staying this hotel. The most impressive one was staff. They were so kind. I felt like staying in my neighborhood. This hotel provided a breakfast which was simple but has good taste and was enough for starting fir the day. I absolutely stay here again when I will visit this area.
