5-Star Hotels in Dhaka Division, Bangladesh

My safe haven in Dhaka. I felt secure here, especially with the armed guards at the entrance. The hotel facilities are all top-notch, and the dining and overall environment meet high standards. My only minor critique is that the hotel is a bit older, and the ventilation in the smoking rooms could be improved.

The hotel's location is excellent, not too far from the airport (around 8 km), and easy to find. Check-in was fast, the room was clean, and breakfast was delicious with a good variety of dishes. The gym is large with many new machines and in excellent condition. The rooftop pool is clean and quite spacious. I recommend this hotel.

The most comfortable aspect of my trip to Bangladesh was definitely this hotel. Although I initially booked for only two days, I ended up staying here for the entire 11-day trip. It was cozy and comfortable, and the staff's kindness was, of course, outstanding. The only downside was the unstable Wi-Fi in my room, which kept disconnecting. If this issue could be resolved, it would truly be an excellent hotel. If you're planning a trip to Dhaka, I highly recommend Grand Palace Hotel for its superb value for money and exceptional hospitality.

It was very nice to have been received by the hotel manager & Staff who were very friendly And cooperative. Unfortunately the room was not what I was expecting and the washroom was not also very clean and the soap was very Unpleasant. Since my stay was short I did not bother to tell the staff about my room and washroom. I believe there is a room for huge improvement.

This is one of the few hotels in the heart of Dhaka where foreigners can stay. There are better hotels if you're willing to pay more, but for this price, it's a perfectly comfortable hotel. The breakfast is especially recommended and worth more than its cost. However, the top floor also has a bar, so it's a noisy club every night. I wouldn't recommend rooms on the 10th floor or higher, as you can hear loud drum sounds until late at night. The 5th to 8th floors would probably be just right. Other than that, it's a comfortable hotel in a convenient location.

This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Dhaka. The location is ideal if you need to be close to the airport. There's also a new shopping center nearby where you can eat, buy groceries, or withdraw money. However, getting to Gulshan, especially in the evening, takes a very long time. The hotel room is very fresh and spacious. The food is beyond praise; they have everything: several types of cheese, a variety of hot dishes, drinks, coffee, and tea. There are fresh flowers 💐 at the hotel reception. The hotel staff are very helpful; I lost my passport, and they assisted me with the search. I would gladly return again.

Beautiful hotel, a haven of peacefulness which was very enjoyable to retreat to after exploring the chaotic streets of Dhaka. All staff members were very polite and friendly, the room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The rooftop pool and bar are also great.

Extremely disappointed with the airport transfer service—completely unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Despite prior arrangements, I was left stranded at the airport for 30 minutes, as the hotel’s representative was waiting at the international terminal, even though I arrived via domestic. There was zero coordination and no communication from their side. I expected better from a so-called 5-star hotel. To make matters worse, they charged USD 90 for a simple 20-minute ride—an outrageous fee for a service that wasn’t even properly executed. No apology, no accountability, just an overpriced mess. That said, the rooms and amenities are commendable—clean, comfortable, and up to luxury standards. But service like this seriously undercuts the overall experience. Westin Dhaka, you can and should do much better.

The hotel's location is extremely convenient, not far from the airport, about a 20-minute drive. Since Dhaka's transportation isn't the best, I highly recommend arranging for the hotel's car service for transfers. As soon as I arrived at the airport, staff were there to greet me, which felt safe and efficient. The hotel staff are very friendly, the room is spacious and very clean, and the breakfast spread is excellent. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.
