Green Star Hotel Yangon
"The hotel staff are all wonderful people, truly embodying the spirit of hospitality. Room 611 is comfortable and features large windows. While the drainage in the shower wasn't quite perfect, everything else was excellent. The rooftop breakfast area offers an open, airy atmosphere that is very pleasant. The dining staff served us with cheerful smiles every day, and I looked forward to chatting with them each morning. Although the building is aging, the staff’s wonderful attitude more than makes up for it. In Myanmar, it is quite difficult for foreigners to book Grab taxis, but the reception staff patiently arranged them for me and even saw me off until I was safely in the car. That kindness is a big reason why I continued to love Myanmar right up to the very end. The country is currently facing very difficult times, yet shops in Yangon remain lively, and the people are as kind as ever. I pray for the country to regain stability as soon as possible. Thank you!"
Pan Pacific Yangon
"Excellent experience! The price was good, and the service was outstanding. Definitely recommend it. They even surprised my wife with a cake for her birthday, which was a lovely touch. The view from the window was also nice. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I visit Yangon in the future."
PARKROYAL Yangon
"Cleanliness and the amenities are quite okay. Service wise is significantly improved compared to my last stay at park royal. Both front house and F&B team’s service is fantastic. I did enjoyed my stay this time"
Hotel G Yangon
"A good hotel not far from the center and main attractions. There's a cafe on the ground floor. The room is cozy and small, but has everything you need."
Hotel Balmi
"Balmi Hotel is located in the heart of the city, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room was reasonably clean, offering a comfortable stay. However, I did encounter an issue that needs attention. I spotted two small cockroaches during my stay. While this did not ruin my experience, it needs to improve pest control measures. Addressing this would greatly enhance the overall quality of the stay. Despite this, Balmi has a lot to offer and could easily be a top choice for travelers once this issue is resolved."
Hotel Grand United - 21st Downtown
"Convenient location for getting around, with restaurants nearby at night. The breakfast was delicious, especially the Burmese tea. You can see city views from the upper floors."
Yangon Thanlwin Hotel
"This hotel boasts a super convenient downtown location, surrounded by numerous restaurants, shops, and even a shopping mall. However, be aware that it gets very crowded with people and traffic during the day, and can feel a bit chaotic at night. The staff are well-trained and genuinely helpful, and the overall service, including housekeeping, is excellent. The room was spacious – perhaps even too big for one person. The bathroom facilities were clean and easy to use. My only minor wish is that the lighting in the room could be a bit brighter. Breakfast was decent, but it felt a little less impressive compared to other hotels in Yangon in the same price range. If you enjoy Chinese or Indian cuisine, you'll probably find it satisfactory. Overall, if you're looking for comfort and a central downtown location, this hotel is definitely a solid choice."
Inya Lake Hotel

Lotte Hotel Yangon

Governor's Residence
"Review: The Governor’s Residence, Yangon The Governor’s Residence remains one of Yangon’s most atmospheric and elegant hotels, combining colonial charm with modern comfort. Nestled in a quiet embassy district, the restored teak mansion, once the home of a British colonial governor, immediately impresses with its graceful architecture and tranquil gardens. Approaching through leafy pathways and lotus ponds, guests are welcomed into an oasis that feels far removed from the bustle of downtown Yangon. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring polished teak floors, four-poster beds, and traditional Burmese textiles that reflect the building’s heritage. Balconies overlook either the lush gardens or the inviting fan-shaped swimming pool, creating a sense of calm retreat. The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements. Dining is a highlight. The open-air restaurant offers refined Burmese and international dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. Afternoon cocktails by the pool or an evening meal by candlelight evoke the romantic grandeur of a bygone era. What sets the Governor’s Residence apart is its atmosphere: it is not simply a hotel but a living reminder of Yangon’s colonial past, reimagined with comfort and grace. Whether visiting on business or leisure, guests leave with a sense of serenity and timeless elegance. For those seeking a blend of history, luxury, and authentic Burmese hospitality, this residence is an exceptional choice."
Melia Yangon
"Melia Yangon – A fantastic hotel! Clean, comfortable, and the bed is so incredibly cozy that you’ll never want to get up. The service is outstanding, and the location is excellent. It’s connected to a shopping mall, and just across the road is a beautiful lake that’s perfect for a relaxing morning walk. Absolutely wonderful—I give it a perfect 10/10!"

Hotel Sanchaung
"I really liked the hotel: the staff were very friendly, the room was simple yet well-equipped, the bed was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent."
The Rangoon Hotel
"The hotel is beautiful and clean. The Burmese staff are as friendly and helpful as always. I will choose it again next time."
Hotel Grand United - Chinatown
"The entire hotel room was filled with dust and mold. The bed sheets had blood on them and the tv was broken. In the bathroom it looked like the floor had never been cleaned. The shower head was sharp metal that would cut your hand if not careful. Smelled of pee in the bathroom. The breakfast provided was acceptable enough. I felt thoroughly ripped off after staying here. The bathroom design is bad so every room in the entire building will have bad mold due to this. The price that you pay to stay here is way too much for the terrible quality of the room. I wish I could’ve left sooner."
Areca Hotel Yangon
"The rooms are really clean. The foods are so tasty."
