Hotels with Pools in Yangon

I loved it. Amazing location, gorgeous hotel, helpful staff, nice views (see attached photo), wonderful swimming pool and small but functional fitness. I was planning to visit Yangon on the weekend but loved the hotel so much that I have spent most of the time resting, swimming, training and enjoying massage in their Spa (Nadia). Highly recommended and only 20-25 minutes to the airport.

I prefer Wyndham as a solo traveler but going with my partner, we decided on a bigger room and the 2 bedroom offered by Kantharyar was perfect. Dual washer and dryer saved me from hotel laundry service. Rooms are big, housekeeping came daily, checking in was quick and easy. Can't complain, service and amenities are superb. The Kantharyar come with the same amenities as Wyndham, you get the pool, small gym, and there's a shopping mall right next door.

I’ve passed by Novotel many times and always wanted to experience this classic French hotel brand. Overall, my stay was great! The service was very attentive, and the facilities were comprehensive. The staff's English proficiency was good, making communication easy. I especially want to thank four particular staff members – Ms. Ei Chaw Sa Win, Ms. Khine Zin, Ms. Myat Bwint, and Ms. Yuu Lin – for helping me order and deliver food, and for bringing a charger. Thanks a lot! Myanmar is a wonderful country, and I believe it will continue to improve in the future.

The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements. Dining is a highlight. The open-air restaurant offers refined Burmese and international dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. Afternoon cocktails by the pool or an evening meal by candlelight evoke the romantic grandeur of a bygone era. What sets the Governor’s Residence apart is its atmosphere: it is not simply a hotel but a living reminder of Yangon’s colonial past, reimagined with comfort and grace. Whether visiting on business or leisure, guests leave with a sense of serenity and timeless elegance. For those seeking a blend of history, luxury, and authentic Burmese hospitality, this residence is an exceptional choice.

This hotel used to be a Nikko Hotel in Japan, and it was bought and renovated by Chatrium Hotels, a luxury Thai hotel chain. The plumbing in the rooms is excellent, and the Japanese food is delicious. The caramel pudding at breakfast was fantastic, just like something from a Japanese coffee shop. For lunch, they offer afternoon tea and even a shabu-shabu set for one person. There's also a convenience store inside the hotel, and a large 1STOP supermarket conveniently located near the exit by the pool. Kandawgyi Park is very affordable for foreigners with an entrance fee of just 500 kyats, and it has many restaurants suitable for lunch. The Rakhine Mont Di at the Rakhine seafood restaurant across the street is exquisite. The hotel is located in a very safe area with many embassies, and the staff are all very courteous. It's no wonder there are so many Japanese guests.

The room was clean and the view was great, and the breakfast was satisfying. The water pressure in the shower was also excellent. The location is a little far from the city center, but I think it is very reasonable. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity to come to Yangon. The only downside was that it took a long time to check out.

Location is basically good but not easy to find shops nearby, Inya lake is just on the opposite side of the road but have to walk long way from the hotel room because the hotel is situated in the inward inlet. There's no water bottle in the room but instead guests have to go to the hallway to use the water server machine, which never gave cold enough water. This is an European hotel and says a lot about eco-friendly or sustainable stuff, but it means downgraded service compared to other hotels run by Korea or Singapore. Breakfast is simply superb and I liked very much.  Overall good hotel but it is recommended those who can sacrifice comfort for the sake of some peculiar things like sustainability.

In particular, I really loved the view of Shwedagon Pagoda from my room. You have an excellent location as well, and the breakfast is hearty and satisfying. I was very impressed with his fluency in Chinese, which is a great asset The cleaning staff were also dedicated and always conscientious

If you’re looking for a place near the airport this hotel is good. Apart from that there’s nothing else. The staff are friendly though and there’s a free shuttle bus which is about 5 minutes to the airport. The breakfast starts at 6 am. Nothing fancy though but it’s not bad. This hotel is average in terms of the quality.
