This guesthouse, nestled deep on Pingtan Island, was a gem I found online while planning my Chinese New Year trip there. The guesthouse owner and the manager were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They helped me with my luggage and even upgraded me to a larger room for free. This made our holiday even more special during the Chinese New Year period. It's also pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends along! The beach is just a 3-minute walk from the guesthouse entrance, perfect for a relaxing stroll and enjoying the sea breeze. The guesthouse has five buildings with about 18 rooms. Breakfast is served individually, and the preserved egg and lean pork congee with an egg and 'Shilaiyunzhuan' handmade bun was absolutely delicious – I'd happily have it again! If I ever return to Pingtan Island, I'll definitely be staying here.

To be honest, I've always had some preconceived notions about homestays, but this one genuinely changed my mind. The overall environment is really good, and the service is absolutely fantastic. They lend out sand-digging tools, can tell you where to find 'blue tears' (bioluminescent plankton), and even notify you about daily tide times. The best part is, they offer a free photo shoot and give you three photos, and they're genuinely beautiful (much better than what you'd get from a random street photographer). There's also a pool, but it was too cold to go in that day. They have plenty of parent-child activities too; my child made fridge magnets and painted pictures to take home. It was a very enjoyable experience!

It was difficult because of the language barrier, but thank you for helping me in real time through WeChat. The accommodation with a view of the windmill was really nice, and it was spacious and comfortable, so I had a comfortable stay. The only regret was that the towels were disposable, which was a little inconvenient. It was a Chinese holiday, so there were a lot of people, and the traffic control was severe, so it was difficult, but if you avoid the national holiday, it seems like it will be a very leisurely trip. It is very suitable for people who like to roam. It is a little distance from the county town, but it only takes more than ten minutes to drive to Tannan Bay. Tannan Bay is really worth going. It is too beautiful, and there are many delicious foods nearby. We basically ate in the county town or near Tanlan Bay. The boss was very nice and enthusiastic. He answered all questions. The stay was quite pleasant. The only dissatisfaction was that the boss recommended two seafood restaurants nearby, which were really not delicious 😭.
