HhubobopingCame to Krabi for Chinese New Year and stumbled upon this hotel. Turned out to be a fantastic find! (Though the price wasn't cheap, the overall experience was great, so it was worth it). The room on the third floor was quite spacious with a separate shower and toilet. My son absolutely loved the pool right outside – he could jump in anytime without even leaving the room. The hotel's overall decor has a unique Egyptian terracotta style, which makes for some great photos. The semi-buffet breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of Chinese and Western options. Ordering by scanning a QR code reduced waiting times, which felt more comfortable than self-service. Overall, highly recommended and worth a stay!

SStitchieThe overall atmosphere of the place gives off a relaxing, chill resort vibe. The lobby was welcoming, and the reception staff were all very friendly. You’ll definitely feel a touch of nature throughout the stay. However, do note that certain areas could use a bit of maintenance, and the rooms aren't soundproof—you might hear birds or even the toilet flushing from nearby rooms at night. The view is lovely, though the sea view was blocked by trees, which was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the service team was excellent—warm, attentive, and cheerful. Honestly, this is the kind of resort where the people shine more than the facilities. Well done to all the staff!

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel exudes luxury and tranquility with a beautiful view. Despite being right in the city center, you wouldn't know it. Upon check-in, there was a misunderstanding regarding whether our booked room would have a bathtub. After some discussion, we were offered an upgrade to a room with a Jacuzzi on the balcony! The room is fully equipped with all amenities, and drinking water is refilled daily. The staff at this hotel are incredibly friendly. Everyone goes out of their way to give you an unforgettable experience. There are 3 different saltwater pools and 2 restaurants. You can also order food and drinks via a QR code to be delivered to your sun lounger by the pool. The breakfast is very extensive and delicious. You can enjoy the view during breakfast both indoors and outdoors. There's also a fitness room with brand-new equipment. I honestly can't think of anything negative about this hotel, and if we're ever in Krabi again, we will definitely be back!

GGuest UserIt takes about an hour to get to Phi Phi Island from Phuket Royal Marina by the hotel's speedboat. The hotel front desk staff doesn't speak any Chinese, so you'll need to communicate entirely in English. You can book your return transportation when you check in. The hotel environment is very nice, the staff are all very polite, and the rooms are clean. The only downside is the excessive number of mosquitoes! Be sure to bring your own mosquito repellent! Also, bring some mosquito patches, as there are many mosquitoes outdoors too! The hotel has a Western restaurant, a buffet restaurant, a Thai restaurant, etc. The food quality is generally mediocre, and the prices are not cheap. The Thai restaurant is halfway up the hill, requires reservations, and it's dark with lots of mosquitoes, so I don't recommend going there. For the return trip, I'm not sure why we shared a boat with guests from three other hotels along the way. There were a lot of people and luggage, and it was very crowded. My boyfriend and I sat together, and some white ”mean girls” commented that we were selfish and didn't understand why we didn't sit separately to maintain balance... but no other couples on the boat were sitting separately. Since we were the only two Chinese people, it's hard not to suspect discrimination.

GGuest UserWe had an overall enjoyable stay at Sofitel in Krabi, with a few areas that could be improved—especially given the expectations of a five-star property. The location is a clear highlight. The beach is calm and relatively private, without the usual crowd of boats, which made for a very relaxing environment. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety and consistently good quality. The overall decor of the lobby and restaurants was also beautifully done, creating a pleasant and refined atmosphere for both breakfast and dinner. However, service was somewhat inconsistent. Room service could be slow at times, and on a few occasions, items like trash left outside the room were not cleared promptly. There were also communication lapses—for example, we had requested assistance to coordinate with an elephant sanctuary, but the message was not properly followed through between staff members. There were also minor maintenance issues, such as a non-functioning balcony light, which we chose not to escalate but would have expected to be addressed proactively at this level. For a family room, we expected more thoughtful child-friendly design. Simple things like a stool for children to reach the sink were missing, which made basic routines unnecessarily difficult and less safe. The pool facilities were decent but not outstanding, and cleanliness could be improved. In particular, the kiddie pool had visible debris and bugs, which made it less comfortable for young children. We also found the pool safety setup confusing and somewhat concerning. There were clear warnings stating that there are no lifeguards and that parents are responsible for supervision. However, there was consistently a staff member seated by the pool under a shaded area, appearing like a lifeguard but not actively monitoring the pool. This created a misleading impression and could give families a false sense of security. During our stay, we also witnessed a situation where a child became stuck under part of the pool obstacle structure, and assistance had to be actively requested from nearby staff. While the situation was resolved, it reinforced our concern that supervision and safety measures could be more proactive. Given the number of safety warnings posted around the pool, we were surprised that no trained lifeguard was present, especially as the current setup may give families a false sense of supervision. One of the main drawbacks was the pricing structure. Many services and items felt excessively priced, including: • Food at the on-site restaurants (significantly higher than comparable options outside the resort) • Transport and excursion arrangements (e.g., speedboat pricing well above market rates) • Activity rentals, such as the Sub Blue underwater scooter (350 THB++ for 30 minutes), which felt disproportionately expensive • Additional charges for small requests, including delivery fees for food within the property These added costs created a sense of being “nickel-and-dimed,” which detracted from the overall experience. Overall, while we appreciated the beautiful location, excellent breakfast, and well-designed spaces, we felt that service consistency, family-friendliness, safety clarity, and value for money could be improved to better align with five-star expectations.

GGuest UserIt started with the parking space in Front of the Hotel, the Reception came to the entrance to welcome us and asked for the ID/ Passport/ Credit Card and we got some refreshment. I am a Permanent Resident and this raise sometimes questions, because it's not so common. They only asked for my Driver License instead of my ID card, I guess because there is the Name in latin letters and Non Residence would have the Passport Number instead of the ID card number. The checkin was very fast done and needed only the email and two signatures. The room have a lot of space, a romantic lightning even in the bathroom. And it's direct at the beach. All staff are super friendly. Even the internship in the Restaurant know was a good service is. And at the checkout we was asked to wait 5 min.. But it take less than 2 minutes. I work for hotels and know what is going on there and this is really impressive. Of course it will be in the high season not always possible to be that fast. The breakfast buffet was more a brunch than just breakfast. From smoked salmon to cheese, even noodles with cheese, from chok to different curries was all there, different kind of bread and pastries, of course fresh fruits, a egg station and a good selection of juice and a coffee. Not every hotel offer in the low season a buffet and even less a huge buffet like this. The location is direct on the sea and you don't see a lot of the area around, what gives 4 Stars. To go to a restaurant outside or see something nice, you need to drive. For us was this not the big issue, because we arrived anyway with the car and in 5 min. you find nice places. Also the street to the Hotel is small and some construction sides, but the people there are also all helpful. The only part where the hotel could improve a little was the fish pond next to the Restaurant, there would be a cleaning needed. What would maybe be done at the next day. We was only one night there and this was not a real issue. But the reason why only 4 of 5 points. All another part of the hotel was in a great condition and very clean. We loved it there and I am sure we will have some another stop overs there

GGuest UserWe really liked this hotel, the staff were lovely, pool was nice and had a pool bar, and happy hour at 4. Roof top bar was nice too and I enjoyed the yoga on Mon, Wed, Fri but make sure to put insect repellent on. The hotel is more suited to couples than families. We stayed in a families and friends room and the other rooms seemed better. The top bunk bed was so hard my children couldn’t sleep but they just slept on the bottom mattresses which were good. The walls were thin and unfortunately our neighbours child cried A LOT (not the hotels fault obviously!) and the toilet door touched your knees if you are taller than 170cm, which I am. The room was otherwise well designed and excellent value for money. Breakfast was very good, nice breads and jams and egg station and we really liked the brownies. It’s a little out of Ao Nang which I liked and the almost hourly shuttle made this easy to deal with but may not suit some. Grab only cost about 100B each way. The small jungle restaurant next door was a lovely family run place If ever you don’t want to go into Ao Nang. We really enjoyed the 7 islands tour and preferred the pace of Ao Nang to Phuket. It felt a lot more relaxed. This is a pleasant boutique style hotel with nice staff and mostly younger European couples. It is not luxe but very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Rremmus14Hotel look like palace. I like the room because it's very specious and large balcony. Hotel is old but very clean. Staff are super friendly. Especially all housekeeping are smiling when we walk pass. Location is facing beach and easily walk to Oanang Landmark which is street food and night market is there every night with life music on the beach. The o ly downside is gym is not fancy but very simple. Nothing like the bad review that we read before we booked. I am glad that we try them. It's all OK here.
