5-Star Hotels in Dalian

Our first stop in Dalian was this Holiday Inn, and it was an excellent experience. Our flight was delayed, and we didn't arrive until the early hours of the morning, but the staff member in black was incredibly attentive. Despite the late hour, they patiently helped us with check-in, explained all the facilities, and even offered to carry our luggage to the room. We were a family of three, and even though our room originally included breakfast for two, the hotel kindly added a third complimentary breakfast every day, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was clean and tidy, the hotel grounds were spacious, and it was convenient to get to the beach. As an international chain, Holiday Inn consistently delivers on quality, and I highly recommend it.

Family sea view room, with a king-size bed and a sofa bed, perfect for families with older children. The sea view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful. In the evening, the hotel organized a bonfire party and fireworks display, which the kids loved. It's very close to the beach, making it convenient to take children there. The hotel also provides sand-digging tools. Every staff member is dedicated; even the cleaning ladies in the hallway greeted us warmly. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety. The dinner buffet is a bit pricey, but the food quality is excellent. The staff at the buffet restaurant are all very nice, welcoming, and service-minded. Overall, a great experience!

Our family stayed at the Dalian Xingzhijie Hotel and had an extremely satisfying experience overall. The lobby environment was simple and elegant, the public areas were clean and bright, and the rooms had excellent natural light and a comfortable layout. The cleanliness was impeccable, with soft and spotless bedding, and a bathroom with good wet/dry separation and no unpleasant odors. Even the corners and hard-to-reach spots were thoroughly cleaned, making our stay feel very secure. I must specifically commend the front desk staff and the duty manager. They were always responsive to our requests throughout our stay. This is truly the only hotel among Dalian's five-star establishments that genuinely helps guests resolve issues. Whether we asked about nearby tourist routes, borrowed items, or needed to adjust our check-in requirements last-minute, the staff patiently answered our questions, and the duty manager quickly coordinated a solution, responding promptly and thoughtfully. The daily housekeeping was meticulous and tidy, and the location was convenient for exploring with family or for short excursions. The attentive and thoughtful service made us feel incredibly welcome. We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Dalian, and I'll be recommending it to others. The hotel front desk also offered cold drinks and juice, which was a lovely touch.

I visited Dalian with my child and stayed at three hotels over four days. This one was by far the most disappointing. First, the location is indeed excellent. If you like the Xinghai Square area, this is a great place to stay. However, during peak season, try to avoid taking taxis at night as traffic gets really congested. That said, it's lovely to stroll around from early evening onwards. Further in, there are many stalls and even a beer festival. You can also wander around the vicinity, ride bumper cars, or take a ride on the illuminated boats. When you're tired, it’s convenient to walk just a short distance back to the hotel to rest. Secondly, for dining, there's a KFC and Starbucks nearby, as well as a popular internet-famous Xiding Dumpling restaurant (when I passed by around 3 pm, there was already a long queue; during meal times, scalpers were selling queue numbers). If you walk a bit further, there are also hotpot, Western restaurants, and home-style cooking options – plenty to choose from. The hotel's 46th-floor restaurant was genuinely good. Personally, I don't think ordering roast duck is necessary; the other dishes are also delicious. The stir-fried okra with foie gras was absolutely stunning. I don't know the name of the male manager who took our order, but he had a great attitude. He offered suggestions when we were ordering and checked on our experience after the meal. A small suggestion for the restaurant's ambiance and service: perhaps play some light background music. The whole dining experience felt a bit dry. We happened to catch the bridge light show, but there was no music, making the visual experience not as good as what we saw outdoors the day before. Also, for such a high-end restaurant, wouldn't offering a complimentary fruit platter after the meal be better? Even two slices of watermelon could enhance customer satisfaction. Another point is the hotel service. I'm giving it two stars because the overall service model aligns with a five-star hotel, but the execution and mindset were disappointing. For nearly twenty years, I've only stayed in five-star hotels or above, and my own living environment is surrounded by several five-star hotels. I frequently visit hotels, whether for coffee, a lobby bar, or the gym. A grand hotel should embody a grand demeanor. During check-in, they emphasized and asked me, ”Are you sure it's just you and your child checking in?” I didn't react immediately, but shortly after entering the room, a male staff member knocked on the door, saying he was delivering welcome fruit. After I opened the door, his eyes darted around, scanning the entire room, almost as if he wanted to come in and look around. He asked if he should bring it in for me or if I'd take it. I didn't think much of it at the time, just found him a bit strange. It wasn't until I closed the door that I realized what had happened: they had already prejudged us, assuming we were more than two people and might be trying to sneak others into the hotel. Ha ha. I understand that at your price point and location, such situations might occur, but that's no excuse for judging people based on appearances!

The room was a bit small, but the cleanliness was acceptable. I got a free upgrade to the 6th floor with a nice view! The hotel offered a complimentary beer, and bottled beer could be taken back to the room. I opted for draft beer, which had to be enjoyed on-site at an outdoor restaurant open from 6 PM to 10 PM. I arrived a little after 8 PM, and even though it was summer, the sea breeze was wonderfully cool. There was also a resident singer, creating a fantastic atmosphere! The hotel's back exit leads directly to Happy Coast Gate 4, with Gate 5 to the right and Gate 3 to the left. Plus, there were plenty of free fireworks displays by the sea to watch!!

Overall, my family and I had a very satisfying stay. Lynne was incredibly thoughtful; seeing that we had a child, she proactively offered complimentary children's toiletries, which was a lovely gesture. The room was clean, dust-free, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The breakfast offered a good variety suitable for all ages, and the hotel's quiet environment ensured a very peaceful night's rest. I genuinely recommend this hotel.

The experience at this hotel was good my daughter was so happy with the Balala fairy room she enjoyed herself so much, and many thanks to **** for checking up on us as we left the hotel, we loved the atmosphere the breakfast was absolutely amazing and the F&B manager went out of his way to make sure that we sat comfortably and we were served exceptionally well, whenever we come back to Dalian for our next vacation this hotel will be definitely be one of our choice among the many hotels that we will book 😀 I enjoyed my stay, and the reception stuff was very warm and friendly, the bed was absolutely comfortable considering the we traveled for well over 16 hours from our city. I definitely had a relaxed night. My husband rested well, and he was at ease.

If I had to describe the service in the hotel lobby in one word, it would be 'provincial'. When we checked in that day, there were two ladies at the front desk, Ms. Sun and Ms. Zhou. We had booked a three-night stay with three breakfasts, but these two 'provincial' women insisted that only two breakfasts were included, and their attitude was extremely dismissive. I asked them how many bottles of water were in the room – four. I then asked if they could send more if that wasn't enough, and the 'provincial' front desk staff looked at me with wide eyes and said they could only provide two more bottles. When they gave us our room cards, the numbers were scrawled like they were written by an illiterate elementary school student. This is a five-star hotel, but your lobby staff are truly third-rate, even 'from the village'. Looking at the hotel's negative reviews, many guests have complained about the quality of your lobby service. I've stayed at unrated hotels where the lobby staff provided first-class service. For a five-star hotel, your lobby staff's quality is second-rate. I suggest your hotel provide more training to improve the quality of your lobby service staff. Your service quality should match your reputation.

Traveling to Dalian during peak season, I chose the Pullman and stayed for four nights. I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade to a junior suite, which was absolutely fantastic! After turning on the air conditioning for a bit, there was no strange odor in the room. It faced Labor Park, and the upward-leading stairs from the window were very pleasing to look at. The hotel's location is super convenient; there are several shopping malls right across the street. It's also easy to get to trendy Nanshan Road, and taking a taxi to Amber Bay or Xinghai is a breeze. The suite had one bedroom, one living room, and one bathroom. The bedding was comfortable, not too soft, and the bathroom had a separate shower and a large bathtub. Every time I came back from exploring, it felt like returning to a cozy home. Lying on the sofa in the living room, eating some fruit, watching TV, and browsing on my phone – it was just so relaxing. A truly excellent experience, highly recommended!

The hotel's location is great, near Zhongshan Square business district and not far from Venice Water Town, making it convenient for getting around. The facilities are quite comprehensive, with a swimming pool and gym, and the breakfast is abundant. However, the front desk service has a lot of room for improvement. The staff member who checked me in had a stern expression the entire time, without any warm or polite greeting. Furthermore, I booked my stay through several platforms for three consecutive nights, but the front desk insisted I reactivate my room key each day. This was not only a waste of time but also illogical. I hope they can improve this.
