Sze-Ker ChewBefore the pandemic, I used to write hotel reviews quite regularly. However, in recent years, most hotels I have stayed at have generally met my expectations in terms of service and hospitality, so I rarely felt compelled to write one. Modena by Fraser Bangkok, however, left me with no choice but to pick up my pen again. It was not because of grand luxury, but because of the warmth, sincerity, and thoughtful gestures that truly made me feel at home throughout my stay.
From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine smiles and warm greetings at the lobby. Check-in was smooth, efficient, and hassle-free, setting the tone for a wonderful stay.
I booked a Deluxe King Room, and it certainly did not disappoint. The room was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and equipped with everything I needed. The amenities were excellent, but the highlight was undoubtedly the bed—it was incredibly comfortable and provided a great night's sleep after long days exploring Bangkok.
The hotel's facilities were another highlight. Both the fitness centre and laundrette operate 24 hours a day, which is extremely convenient for travellers. The laundrette has three washing machines and three dryers. Washing costs THB 150 and drying costs THB 120. The washing machine automatically weighs your laundry, so the duration depends on the load. My four days' worth of clothes took about an hour to wash, while drying required the standard one hour.
As someone who enjoys working out while travelling, I made full use of the gym every day. It exceeded my expectations, offering free weights, a Smith machine, resistance machines targeting different muscle groups, treadmills, and stationary bikes. It had everything I needed to stay active and maintain my fitness routine during the trip.
Breakfast was another pleasant surprise. The selection was excellent, with many of the hot dishes and pastries changing daily, making each morning feel fresh and enjoyable.
The location is also a major advantage. The hotel is located right next to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) MRT station and is only one stop from Sukhumvit Station, where Terminal 21 is located. It is also just two MRT stops from the Makkasan/Phetchaburi interchange for the Airport Rail Link, making travel to and from the airport very convenient. A 7-Eleven next to the hotel is another welcome bonus.
Before I conclude, I would like to share one small incident that perfectly reflects the hotel's exceptional hospitality. On the second day of my stay, the light bulb at the room entrance stopped working. To me, this was simply normal wear and tear. I informed the front desk before heading out, and by the time I returned, the light bulb had already been replaced.
The following day, after returning from my outing, I found a small towel elephant placed on my work desk, together with some snacks and a handwritten apology card from the hotel regarding the light bulb incident. I was genuinely touched. It was such a small gesture, yet it spoke volumes about how much the team cared about their guests. Throughout my travels, very few hotels have gone the extra mile in such a thoughtful and heartfelt way. Thank you, Modena by Fraser Bangkok, for making me feel genuinely valued and welcomed.
Lastly, I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to the housekeeping team. Every day, I returned to a spotless, tidy, and welcoming room. It truly felt like coming home after a long day of sightseeing.
Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Modena by Fraser Bangkok to anyone planning a trip to Bangkok. With its excellent service, comfortable accommodation, well-equipped facilities, convenient location, and above all, a team that genuinely cares about its guests, this is a hotel I will gladly return to on my next visit.

Anonymous UserThe room was clean and very comfortable. It's super convenient for getting around, just a few minutes' walk to 7-Eleven and the subway, which takes you to the Erawan Shrine and various shopping malls. The staff were all warm and attentive. The SPA on the 7th floor was excellent with professional techniques. They even offered snacks and drinks before and after the massage. And that mango sticky rice was absolutely delicious! 😋

Anonymous UserThis was my first time staying at a Marriott in Thailand, and the room condition was absolutely fantastic! I booked a hotel with a pick-up service from the airport, and the staff was so friendly. We arrived at the hotel safely at night, and both the concierge and front desk staff were incredibly kind!!! The only minor inconvenience was that the TV didn't have YouTube, but you can always just search on the internet if you want to watch something. The swimming pool was closed for renovation, but I heard that I could use the pool at a sister hotel. So, I called the front desk at extension 0 and told them I wanted to go. They immediately told me to come down to the lobby. The concierge then called a Grab taxi for me and took me to the Madipadi Hotel. I thought a 'sister hotel' meant it would be right next door or another Marriott, but they put me in an expensive Grab for a 15-minute ride to the Madipadi Hotel, haha. I got to enjoy a new hotel pool for free! Then, after just 10 minutes of splashing around, I came out, and a staff member at Madipadi Hotel asked why I wasn't swimming and if I wasn't getting wet. I told them my hotel had a 12 PM check-out and I needed to leave. They then offered a late check-out if we wanted it, asked my original hotel, and extended my check-out time to 2 PM so I could enjoy the pool longer ㅠㅠ I'm so, so grateful 🥹😭 Both the Marriott staff and the Madipadi staff were incredibly friendly! The best! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Bangkok.. Oh, and the deposit was 1000 baht per night, which I paid by credit card. There's also a shuttle tuk-tuk, though I didn't use it! The luggage storage service after check-out was also excellent; they proactively offered it when I checked out 👍🏻👍🏻

Guest UserThe hotel has aged badly, the fittings and the interior is dated, had to get things replaced and repaired to continue to stay on, also extremely bad noise insulation.
The staff are excellent, no complaints changed and did everything in their power to make the stay comfortable. The hotel is not up to the holiday inn standard I am used to. Just look at the TV model, even the TV channels were not working without snow.

Guest UserThe night before check-in, I carefully read the negative reviews on Ctrip, which made me lose confidence in this hotel. I contacted Ctrip customer service in the middle of the night to try and cancel, but since it was past the cancellation time, we ended up staying there anyway… We had four adults and two children, so we booked a connecting quad room and a twin room.
1. **Hygiene:** The rooms were very clean. It felt comfortable to walk barefoot on the floor, and the bathroom was also very clean with a good wet/dry separation.
2. **Breakfast:** We had the power breakfast every day, and it was delicious and well-balanced.
3. **Service:** I didn't feel any discrimination; both the male and female customer service staff were very polite.
4. **Shuttle:** The hotel's regular schedule is a shuttle every half hour to the alley entrance, but during our two-day stay, we were able to leave whenever we wanted.
5. **Room Type:** For two adults and two children in Bangkok, there aren't many family room options. Many family rooms put all four people in one room, which can be disruptive when adults and children have different schedules. If you book two separate standard rooms, there's no way to look out for each other. So, connecting rooms are our favorite room type when choosing a hotel.
6. **Location:** This is indeed a drawback. Although the Sukhumvit area is great, the hotel is located deep inside an alley, which takes away the fun of being able to just step out and explore anytime…
7. **Pool and Gym:** The pool isn't big, but we were just transiting through Bangkok to Phuket, so we weren't planning on swimming at a city hotel anyway. The gym is also really small; it gets very crowded with just three or four people. However, they thoughtfully provide small towels for wiping sweat in the gym.

I stayed at Kingston Suites between May 15 and May 18, 2026. Arriving early morning on the 15th, they permitted an early check-in at a cost of 1000 baht extra for which i was grateful after travelling for 30 hours. The executive suite room was large, clean and included basic furniture, a microwave, refrigerator, and washer/dryer. The breakfast was a mix of Western and Indian dishes. I thought it was just okay as the main entrees were kind of bland and the selection was limited. Most of the staff were courteous. The location was quite good, only a 10-12 minute walk to Terminal 21 and a couple of BTS stations. I would likely stay again though there are numerous alternatives at a similar price point so it would likely boil down to who offers the best deal.

Kani_cccThe hotel is located in the Sukhumvit area. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. During my first stay, the room was nice and well equipped with everything I needed, including large bottles of shampoo and body wash, a hair dryer, a kettle, tea and coffee, a wardrobe, and a small working area.
However, my experience during my second stay was not quite as good. There was a small hole in the door, which made me feel a little uncomfortable, although it was not possible to see through it from outside. The sink was also clogged. The staff were very helpful and immediately sent someone to fix it. When it could not be repaired, they kindly upgraded me to a family room.
Despite the issues with the room, I was very impressed with how the staff handled the situation and took care of me. The location is also convenient, with a 7-Eleven and several restaurants nearby. I would stay here again if I needed to attend a meeting in this area.
The only downside is that the surrounding area can feel a little unsafe or uncomfortable when walking alone at night.

Guest UserI booked this hotel for my last day in Thailand because my flight back home was late at night, and I wanted a comfortable place to relax before heading to the airport.
I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and clean everything was. The room was much bigger than I expected, and I was lucky enough to get a ground-floor room. I was so happy to find out that I could walk straight from my balcony to a small pool.
There were quite a few mosquitoes, but that's understandable considering Thailand's hot, humid weather and the fact that the pool is right outside the room. Next time, I'll definitely remember to bring mosquito repellent!
The weather was sunny, so I spent about an hour relaxing on a sun lounger by the pool, and it was such a nice way to spend my last day.
The hotel also offers a shuttle service to the airport, which made everything so convenient. It was the perfect choice for my last day in Thailand.
