The Sky wing rooms are very large, clean, and offer great views of the city if your on floor 11 or above. The location is also super convenient, with Nana BTS just 3min walk away. The pool is large although limited sunbeds and not a place to hang out for more than a couple of hours. I have been here many times and suits a £40 price point.
I have noticed it has shifted its client base to focus on large tourist groups or conferences from India, with 90% occupants as the above. I have not tried the breakfast.

Rooms can be noisy. Bathroom flooded poor drainage.

The Ambassador Hotel Bangkok is a phenomenal choice if you prioritize location, expansive facilities, and value in the heart of the city. Situated directly on the vibrant Sukhumvit Soi 11 and just a two-minute walk from the BTS Nana Skytrain station, the connectivity here is truly unmatched. You are instantly immersed in Bangkok's best nightlife, dining, and easy access to major shopping centers like Terminal 21.
While the hotel is large and has a classic history, recent updates—especially in the Sky Wing—ensure a comfortable and modern stay. I highly recommend booking a room in the Sky Wing for larger, more contemporary accommodations and often better views. The amenities are excellent; the outdoor pool area provides a great escape from the city heat, and the state-of-the-art fitness center is one of the biggest you'll find in a Bangkok hotel, complete with squash courts.

Special note for families: if you are with travelling with your family don’t dare to stay in this hotel. It’s not safe and decent choice.
Hotel managers are very rude. You will feel like you are talking to street guys and they are ready to fight with you. They will ask you for 1000Bath as a security deposit and later they will create issue themselves and your deposit will not return you. They put some stains on bedsheet and didn’t pay back my security. My room was messy, smelly and noisy.

When i arrived in the room, everything was clean. But safe box wasnt working i had to notify receptionist to fix and their engineer came to the rescue this was at 2am. I also turned on the TV, all channels didnt have signal so i notifed the engineer/staff while he was fixing the safe box, he just unplugged and plug it back in, it worked. And another one is the phone, wanted to call my friend from the other room and noticed phone wasnt working. So i checked the lines. And the telephone line wasn’t plugged all the way. All were easy fix but i expect a hotel to have most things working properly. Wouldnt come back for me. But i think its good for certain people.

Stayed here many times Sio 11 has lots going on bars and restaurants.I first stayed in this hotel 1998.
tower rooms are ok small a bit old but clean and it’s only for sleeping.
