4-Star Hotels in Seoul

The location is excellent, very close to the subway station, making it convenient to get to the main street and Yeonnam-dong. The hotel is right by the main road, so it's easy to catch a taxi. We were on a high floor, so we couldn't hear any traffic noise. The staff provided excellent service; if we had any issues, a quick phone call would get someone up to our room to handle it, and their English was perfect with no accent. After checking out, I realized I had left some jewelry in the room. After inquiring, I quickly received a confirmation call, and they were also able to store our luggage for us after checkout.

The location is fantastic! Although the room was small, the layout was very efficient. I was surprised they even managed to fit a bathtub and had a separate wet/dry area in such a small space – only in Japan/Korea! The great location meant I could pop back to the hotel to drop off my shopping, which saved a lot of time. Plus, if you cut through the Olive Young store next door, you can get to the other side of the street easily. When checking out, you can use the self-service machine on the first floor, which is super quick. Cars can pull right up to the entrance in the morning and evening. At other times, you have to walk a short distance, but overall, it's very convenient – a one-stop shop for eating, shopping, and exploring!

1. Breakfast was disappointing; there wasn't much protein, and even the noodle soup had no meat. I stayed for four nights, and by the first day, I seriously considered changing hotels because of the breakfast. 2. The room had a fridge and slippers, but no comb, toothbrush, or toothpaste. You'll need to bring your own. 3. AK Plaza isn't a great mall; there's not much to buy. 4. There weren't enough outlets by the bed and desk. I recommend bringing a power strip if you have multiple devices to charge.

This was my first stay here, and I booked a standard room with a balcony – the experience was excellent. First, the front desk service was fantastic. To my surprise, there was someone who spoke Chinese! Check-in was done on a machine, which was very simple and convenient, and check-out was equally quick and easy. Second, I really loved the overall ambiance of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bedding was soft. Third, the hotel breakfast lived up to its many rave reviews – it was incredibly rich and varied. You could make your own Korean bibimbap or cook and season your own noodles. Both the Chinese and Western options were great. Finally, the hotel's location is also very good, with many great restaurants nearby. This hotel offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth recommending!

Although I didn't see many reviews for this hotel on Xiaohongshu, it was relatively cheaper during the Dragon Boat Festival compared to other hotels around Myeongdong, and the double rooms were larger than those near other commercial areas. It's a Japanese-style hotel, popular with many Japanese guests. Check-in and check-out are done via self-service machines, and staff are available to assist if needed – the service attitude is excellent. The bathroom has a bathtub and toiletries, so you only need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. The room also provides bath salts and eye masks. The soundproofing is very good. Right outside the hotel, there's a small CU convenience store, a Starbucks, and a food street, so dining out was very convenient. It's about a 10-minute walk to Shinsegae Department Store, Myeongdong, or the subway station. There's also an Olive Young on the way to the subway station. The best part is that the Incheon Airport limousine bus stops right on the street outside the hotel, making travel to and from the airport incredibly convenient. I would definitely choose this hotel again – highly recommended! Chinese people don't lie to Chinese people!

The room was super new and apartment-style, with a fantastic breakfast spread. Most importantly, the location is unbeatable, right in Myeongdong. Step outside and you're surrounded by major department stores, supermarkets, and countless restaurants. Getting around is incredibly convenient and just excellent!

The hotel surroundings are nice, and the front desk staff speak basic English. On the first day, I found a midge on the curtains, but otherwise, the cleanliness was acceptable, and there was no drain smell from the bathroom. Disposable slippers were provided, but no toothbrush or toothpaste. Everything in the minibar, except for water, was chargeable. I booked a hotel in Gangnam because I was attending a concert at KSPO Dome. Pros: After the concert, it was usually easy to find a seat on the Express Line 9, and I could quickly reach Bongeunsa Station. There aren't many restaurants on the way back to the hotel, but there are several convenience stores. Cons: The walk from Bongeunsa Station to the hotel is really, really far, and you have to climb a gentle slope before descending! Cheongdam Station is about half the distance, but coming from Olympic Park, you'd need to transfer from Line 5 to Line 7, and Line 5 is usually much more crowded after events. Additionally, I had extended my stay through Trip.com before check-in, but the front desk initially thought I had only booked one night. After some communication, they found the extension order and processed it. However, on the second night, my room card stopped working and needed to be re-authorized. I hope the platform and the hotel can improve this issue.

Originally booked for 2nights, ended up extending extra during our trip because everything really check our boxes off! Location, service, and just overall was amazing. Their check in process was a breeze too! And love the fact that you can leave your luggage before and after check out. Will definitely book again next time I'm back in town. 5/5

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel during my trip to Seoul. The hotel was nice and clean, and the check-in process was fast and smooth, which made arrival stress-free. Although the room was a bit small, it was still comfortable enough for 3 people. One of the highlights is the location, there are plenty of food stalls around the hotel, offering authentic local bites without the overwhelming crowds you’d find in Myeongdong. Personally, I found this area much more enjoyable and relaxing. The metro station is just a 3-minute walk away, making it very convenient to explore the city. Travel Tip: From the airport, take the train to Seoul Station (either normal or express), then transfer to the blue line to Chungmuro Station. If you’re carrying luggage, Exit 5 is the best choice since it has an escalator — just walk toward Starbucks. Otherwise, Exit 7 is a quicker option. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient, and well-located stay in Seoul.

The location is great even though it’s not near any train station. There’s airport bus limousine nearby. My aircon was not working (unable to adjust the temperature) while my friends’ room are able to do so. The staff was not able to resolve the issue and claimed it’s normal when I showed him it’s now. They did not help to resolve the situation. Room is clean but there was a paper shopping bag left in my room (I saw it during check in). Bed is made up of two single beds pushed together. The walking space around the room is narrow, difficult to open up the luggage if it’s big.
