The hotel's location is 10/10! Upon arrival, the hotel administration sends you the room password, so you just walk in and enjoy your best vacation days. The hotel is clean and comfortable! Everything you need is right at hand! The view from the panoramic windows is beautiful, especially if you get a higher floor. I really liked the hotel, and now I want to be a regular guest at Urban Boutique Ikseon🫰🏻

This is not the first time I’ve stayed at this hotel, and everything has always been excellent — but not this time. It all started at check-in, when we were given a different room than the one we had booked. However, thanks to the reception staff, the issue was quickly resolved. Then we noticed that the toilet smelled of smoke, even though the room was supposed to be non-smoking. We informed the staff, and over time the smell became less noticeable. Housekeeping was done daily, and the staff responded promptly to all our requests. These minor inconveniences did not spoil our stay. We will definitely come back again.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from Sungshin Women's University Station Exit 1. The surrounding area is bustling with amenities like convenience stores, restaurants, tea shops, Olive Young, and claw machine arcades. The hotel rooms are exceptionally clean and even feature a jacuzzi. The only drawback is the laundry room. You need to rent a key card from the front desk to use it, and there are only two machines available. If other guests are using them, you'll have to wait. Furthermore, there's no laundry service at night, which can be inconvenient for guests returning late. Fortunately, there are several self-service laundromats nearby, so the laundry issue can be resolved. Overall, my impression of the hotel is positive.

The room is small and a little boring but you’re paying for the location, and it’s comfortable and clean. There’s a good beer bar, Seoulista, on the ground floor. There’s is an aerial walkway connected, which goes to Seoul Station. You can also use the metro Exit 7 (I think) but it will charge you just for walking through if you are coming from the AirPort Express. The breakfast arrangements are quite eccentric, but I had a good breakfast.

Very nice and modern type of apartment hotel. We love the duplex room. Huge balcony with city view. Staff can speak English very well. The location is great! It’s near the subway station. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The convenient store is in front of the hotel. The cafe in the hotel is so cute.

This hotel was lovely. It's about a 12 minute walk from all the shopping in Myeongdong, and it's not a bad walk to the cable car to Namsan tower. The subway is also conviently located as well as the bus to the airport. The staff was wonderful and super helpful. We were able to leave our luggage in the lobby after we checked out, and there's a scale to weigh your bag, too. Also, a cute rooftop deck with tables. There's a convenience store across the street, and I think it's open 24 hours. The room didn't have a microwave, so we used that one. The room does have a mini fridge and electric kettle. Even though our room was near the elevator, it was super quiet. My only problem was it was a little too quiet. Even with the air conditioner on, there was no fan sound, so if you like white noise at night be aware. The curtains worked well. The door had two locks, and every floor and the rooftop were only accessible with your room key. Very safe. 10/10 recommend

The Designers Hotel Jongno A Christmas & New Year Story from an Aussie Traveler I arrived in Korea just before Christmas, trading Australia’s summer holiday season for the cold, glowing winter streets of Seoul. The moment I stepped into The Designers Hotel in Jongno, soft carols and small Christmas decorations welcomed me, making it clear that I would be spending the holidays somewhere completely new. Outside, Seoul shimmered with tiny trees in café windows, warm street lights, and a crisp winter breeze. As I planned where to spend the New Year’s countdown, I explored DDP’s dazzling lights and the lively Dongdaemun streets, but Bosingak kept calling to me. Its blend of history, year-end calmness, and lingering Christmas atmosphere made it feel like the perfect place to greet the new year. Back at the hotel, my plans unexpectedly changed. I had booked only one night, but the staff were so warm and kind—asking about my first Korean winter and even offering directions to Bosingak—that it felt like receiving small Christmas gifts. Their sincerity, especially during the busy holiday season, left a real impression. My room was cozy, quiet, and spotless, with crisp white linens that felt like part of the winter scenery. After walking through cold night streets filled with Christmas decorations, sinking into the warm bed felt comforting, almost like living here rather than traveling. The washing machines and dryers in the lobby were another huge bonus, especially with thick winter clothes piling up. Jongno itself added to the charm. Outside the hotel were winter streets filled with coffee aromas, traces of Christmas decorations, and easy access to Seosulla-gil, Hipjiro, and Bosingak. Walking to the bell pavilion through this seasonal atmosphere became one of my favorite parts of the trip. What was meant to be a one-night stay naturally extended into more. The kindness of the staff, the peaceful room, the winter mood of Jongno, and the chance to spend both Christmas and New Year in Korea made the hotel feel like the perfect base for the season. Overall: The Designers Hotel Jongno isn’t about luxury—it’s about warmth, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Between my first Korean Christmas and the ringing of Bosingak’s New Year bell, this hotel became a place where I made winter memories I’ll always remember.

I was so lucky to get a room facing Namsan Tower – opening the curtains to that view made me incredibly happy! The facilities aren't brand new, but they are clean. The soundproofing isn't great, though; I could hear people talking outside my door, which was a bit startling on the first night, but I got used to it. The location is fantastic, right above Olive Young and the Myeongdong shopping street, which made it super convenient to drop off my purchases.

The room was very old. When I wanted to extend my stay, they told me that the weekend rate was over a thousand dollars. This hotel is so old and the room is so small. I didn't think it was worth it, so I stayed in another hotel. The other hotel was also cheaper and newer on weekends than theirs. The interior was also bigger and more beautiful. I think others are stupid and have a lot of money. I don't recommend it.
