4-Star Hotels in Hurghada

The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

It was really nice, decent breakfast options - could do with more drink options though - and lovely staff. The aesthetic is cool but the moody colours make it quite dark, especially in the bathroom which can make shaving and make up a pain at times. Generally a lovely place in a great location.

If I can rate this hotel more than 5 stars, I will do so. Those people are hospitality gurus, the way they treated me and my family made us all overwhelmingly happy. Every single detail was taken into consideration and exceeded my expectations. -Once in the restaurant my son was hesitant and in seconds the chef made him a special order that suits his taste. -Snacks and pizzas are so yummy. -The hotel is nice and cozy. -The views are relaxing. -Super clean Rooms, Pools and restaurants. -The main restaurant served seafood several times. However, It was never smelly and this is a plus. -Access was available to Jaz Casa Del Mar's lovely sandy beach. Words won't express my feelings when the hotel sent me a complimentary birthday cake on my birthday and another compliment was sent the next day (fruit platter, nuts and maccarons😋😋) Special thanks to reception team members (Mohamed for his close follow up on any issue, Ibrahim for his complement and Philopater for receiving us). It was better than I expected! The ocean view was breathtakingly beautiful. The facilities were top-notch, and it was also great to be able to enjoy cocktails all the time with the all-inclusive plan. The staff were all friendly, too. I want to go again! ☺️

The room facilities are outdated and don't justify the high price and expectations! The bedding was pilling and very uncomfortable! The room we were assigned had no view whatsoever! On top of that, check-out was incredibly slow; they said it would be two minutes, but it took ten minutes, and only after we prompted them! The overall experience was not good!

property, but service and logistics need improvement I have mixed feelings about our stay. On the positive side, the hotel is new and very well-designed. The restaurant is spacious with great indoor and outdoor seating, and the breakfast was decent. The beach is stunning—very quiet with crystal clear water—but be careful entering the sea as there are many rocks at the shoreline. However, there are several drawbacks: Service: The staff seems very inexperienced. We were charged to upgrade from a single to a double room even though the website listed them at the same price. At breakfast, we had to ask for coffee multiple times before it actually arrived. Facilities: Surprisingly, the main pool is not heated, and there is no elevator, which is worth noting if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. Location: You are quite isolated here. You definitely need a car or a shuttle to get anywhere. Overall, it’s a nice physical space, but the management needs to better train the staff to match the ”new” feel of the resort.

Very comfortable and clean hotel. Very delicious food, especially baking. Staff incredibly kind and attentive. The hotel is located right on the shore of the sea. The sea is warm, clean. Recommend the hotel for visiting. It is my second trip to this hotel and with each time it becomes only better.

We had a pleasant stay at Siva Golden Bay Makadi. The hotel is beautiful with an incredible view. Everything is very clean, and our room was spotless. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. A special shout-out to Ahmed, who takes care of the room cleaning, and Hussein Ali, who kindly offered us a late check-out. The beach is magnificent, the pool is very clean, and the facilities are varied and of good quality. Regarding the food, it was okay. The afternoon barbecue was quite good, as was dinner, but we really didn't like the breakfast. The only downside is that the hotel is far from the city center, but it's perfect for getting away from it all. We didn't encounter any French tourists at the hotel; there's a strong Slavic presence, so it definitely felt like a complete change of scenery. We recommend it a thousand times over.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Stay at The Grand Hotel Hurghada (24/7 – 30/7) I had an absolutely wonderful stay at **The Grand Hotel Hurghada** from **July 24th to July 30th**, and I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the entire team for making our vacation truly memorable. The **food** was simply outstanding. The quality, taste, and unbelievable variety exceeded all expectations. Every meal offered something new and delicious, making dining one of the highlights of our stay. The **staff** deserve special recognition. Every single member of the team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. They were always smiling and genuinely happy to help, serving guests with dedication and pleasure. Their positive attitude made us feel at home from the very first day. A special thank you goes to **Mr. Nader** at the Reception. He is, without a doubt, one of the best hotel reception managers I have ever met. He is highly professional, courteous, and an excellent problem-solver. Any issue was handled quickly and efficiently, always with a smile. I would also like to thank **Mr. Mohamed Moawad** from the Food & Beverage Department. He is one of the finest professionals at the hotel—extremely humble, welcoming, respectful, and genuinely caring about the guests' comfort. Another person who deserves special praise is **Chef Mahmoud**. He is simply one of the best. His passion and dedication are reflected in the outstanding quality of the food served throughout the resort. The team at the **Eastern Restaurant** was exceptional. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. **Mostafa** and **Ashraf** and **Mohamed**deserve special recognition for their excellent service and kindness. Dining there was always a wonderful experience. The **Room Service** was also excellent. **Majed** is a kind-hearted gentleman who serves guests with genuine dedication, professionalism, and a cheerful attitude. His hard work did not go unnoticed. The **beach** is beautiful, sandy, clean, and perfect for families. There were always plenty of available sunbeds and enough space for everyone to relax comfortably without feeling crowded. The hotel offers a great selection of restaurants: * The International Restaurant next to the Reception. * The Pasta Restaurant on the second floor. * The Eastern Restaurant with its outdoor grill near the Reception. * The large white beach restaurant serving Shawarma, Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Pizza. * Another beach restaurant serving snacks and French fries. Every one of these restaurants offered excellent food and service. The only point I would suggest improving is the **swimming pool area**. The hotel has only one main pool, which is not enough considering the large number of guests staying at the resort. Overall, my family and I had an outstanding holiday. The excellent hospitality, delicious food, beautiful beach, and the genuine kindness of the staff made this one of our best vacations. I highly recommend **The Grand Hotel Hurghada** and look forward to returning again.

Let’s start with that the team went above and beyond so that we have the best experience. We got a very clean and modern room but was on the ground floor. We asked for a room on a higher floor so they showed us different options but clarified that they weren’t renovated yet. The next day they moved us to a renovated room on a higher floor (the photos attached). The team’s response is quick. We had breadkfast and dinner included. The breakfast is a variety of cheese, turkey and chicked slices, baked goods, pancakes eggs, sausages, vegetables, fruits and drinks, etc. The dinner we had was mainly salads, rice, kufta (minced beef with spices, cooked potatoes, duck, baked goods, and deserts. Finally, the resort has access to the beach/sea, it is across the street though and a 10 min walk away.  Thanks for the team for making our experience and vacation as chill and relaxing as possible.
