The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the soft water was a delightful surprise. The breakfast was incredibly refined and truly stunning. The hotel's decor style is very new and different from the older Holiday Inn Express, perhaps they've updated their product line. The front desk lady quietly upgraded our room type, and the room was very characteristic of Northeast China, haha. It's spacious and very clean, with not a single water stain on the faucets or showerhead, which made my OCD very happy. It's a shame we had to switch hotels later to go elsewhere, otherwise, I would have definitely stayed here longer. Breakfast was also very rich. Thumbs up!

Guest UserThe hotel's location is excellent. It's only a two-minute walk to Central Street, and there's a bus stop right outside. A subway station is also nearby, making getting around incredibly convenient. It's just a 10-minute taxi ride to Harbin Station, so everything is easily accessible. The room facilities are also well-equipped. The front desk service is exceptional and very welcoming. The hotel even offers afternoon tea, which is a lovely touch. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure.

Pros: Great location, very close to Central Avenue, Zhaolin Park, and Saint Sophia Cathedral, making it convenient to visit anytime. Taxis are easily accessible right outside the hotel. We stayed in a duplex family room, which had a nice decor and two large beds, offering separate spaces perfect for a family.
Cons: Our room was on the first floor, and there were some insects. The window faced a small street, so passersby could easily see into the room. The bathroom was poorly ventilated and had a very loud flushing sound, making it awkward to use if someone was sleeping. Breakfast was very ordinary; the Chinese dishes were acceptable, but the Western options like cakes, bread, milk, and cereals were quite poor. The afternoon tea was very basic with not much to eat, and I didn't see the evening congee, so I can't comment on that.

XikangAside from the front desk staff's attitude being a bit subpar on the first day during check-in, everything else was great. The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient to get to Central Street and other major attractions. They really put thought into providing afternoon tea for guests. The room facilities are comprehensive, and the surrounding amenities are complete. The breakfast was also exquisite. Highly recommended.

Guest UserThe hotel staff, from the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping, were all incredibly warm and provided exceptional service!
The hotel's location is superb! 👍🏻 It's directly opposite Central Street, offering panoramic views of it right from the room. It's also very close to the subway and bus stations, making travel very convenient!
The overall environment is clean and tidy. The common areas are well-maintained and comfortable, and the rooms have good natural light and ventilation. It's quiet, not noisy, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The daily afternoon tea is such a lifesaver for families with kids who stay in the hotel during the day! The kids absolutely loved it!
The breakfast spread was also extensive! And having unlimited Madieer ice cream was an unexpected delightful surprise!
The aunts and uncles at the restaurant became friends with my child, who now says they'll definitely be back in winter!
Many thanks to the hotel staff for their thoughtful service. Wishing you all the best in your work!

LianchengxuanniniThe location is fantastic, just a short walk to Central Street. There's a supermarket right next door downstairs, which is super convenient for grabbing snacks and drinks. The hotel lobby is very clean, and the front desk staff are warm and welcoming. They even upgraded my room, which was clean, spacious, very hygienic, and comfortable. The soundproofing was quite good, the vanity was spotless, and the shower had a great wet/dry separation. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Harbin.

Great location with a spacious parking lot. The staff were very welcoming and responsive. I accidentally booked the wrong dates, and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful in accommodating the change. The hotel is right next to a ski resort, and they even offered free skiing passes for the whole family, which was a nice bonus!

Anonymous UserAccommodated three people comfortably. The breakfast was good, and it's not far from Central Street. The sink is outside the bathroom, which is a bit small, and the shower and toilet are too close together. You have to wipe down the toilet after showering, which is a bit inconvenient.

Guest UserWhat's it like to be a ”castle owner” for a night?
The Sun Island Castle Hotel, located on the scenic banks of the Songhua River, boasts a charming European architectural style. The first floor is home to various small eateries, while the entire second floor is dedicated to the hotel guest rooms. From the third floor, you can directly access the cross-river cable car, and the fourth floor houses the Chocolate Castle Museum. This museum features an incredibly diverse collection of chocolates, and outside, there's an observation deck – a superb spot to admire the Songhua River's night view.
The hotel's location is excellent, offering incredibly convenient transportation. Besides the cable car, you can also take a cruise ship across the river. The sightseeing bus also stops here, making it easy to visit all the attractions on Sun Island, with the freedom to hop on and off as you please.
This time, I stayed in the most affordable ”Viscount Interior Room.” The room was spacious and well-equipped, with furnishings that truly captured the grand essence of a castle. The only minor drawback was the lack of a window, meaning I couldn't enjoy the natural scenery outside – a small regret.
It's worth noting that, compared to the opulent guest rooms, the hotel's front desk seemed a bit understated. The small reception counter is tucked away in a corner on the first floor, which felt a little out of sync with the ”Chocolate Castle” theme. Personally, I suggest designing the front desk in the shape of chocolate and having the reception staff wear more distinctive attire. Wouldn't that better align with the magical theme of this place?
Overall, this was a surprisingly delightful stay, highly recommended for those who appreciate unique hotels.
