Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, with a fridge, smart toilet, smart speaker, and electric curtains in the room. The hotel also has a laundry room and a gym. However, there's only one elevator, so expect a wait during peak hours. The room has a balcony, but the soundproofing could be improved. Hygiene: Up to standard, no obvious flaws, but there's room for improvement. Environment: Located on a corner at a crossroads, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The subway station is right downstairs, and Changying Tianjie shopping mall is just across the street. Very convenient. However, the window faces an office building, which is quite close. Service: Excellent. Quick response and a great attitude. They even upgraded my room proactively. The breakfast was also very good, with a wide variety of options.

I was very satisfied with the room; it was clean and tidy. Before staying, I was worried that a siheyuan (courtyard house) might be old or that the room might have an odor. But after checking in, none of those concerns materialized. It was also very quiet. All my worries before checking in were unnecessary. Even before I walked into the hotel, a young man came out to help me with my luggage. If I have the chance to visit Beijing again, I'd definitely stay in a siheyuan here again. The complimentary travel photoshoot provided by the hotel was also excellent. The photographer was very gentle and patient, and his photography skills were top-notch! I was very happy with the final photos; he's the most satisfying photographer I've encountered recently!

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right to the left when you exit the northwest gate of Dengshikou subway station. The room offers excellent value for money. Even though the hotel is located above the subway station, and my husband is more sensitive to noise than most, we didn't experience any noticeable noise with the windows closed and the air conditioning on. The staff are all patient and polite 🌟. Front desk staff like Zhiwen and Tongxin were especially thoughtful and attentive. We initially didn't realize that the voice-activated air conditioning automatically turns off when you leave the room, causing the room temperature to rise quickly. We assumed that's how the hotel's central AC worked and didn't want to bother the staff in the evening. The next morning, we casually asked about it, and the front desk promptly helped us adjust it. We stayed on the 7th floor, and Guo Jing, who was responsible for cleaning, was very attentive to guests' needs. The breakfast mainly features Chinese cuisine, and the breakfast chef was also great. Just a short walk to the right from the hotel, there's a Hao Kaixin Shaobing shop, where the standard shaobing for 6 yuan is particularly delicious.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. We were there for 4 nights. We were 5 people sharing a family room. Room was fine. Service excellent. Breakfast very good. You just order what you want the day before breakfast. We also had afternoon tea which was splendid. The staff washed our clothes for free. Brilliant service. The interior of the hotel is very picturesque. The hotel is situated some 300 meters from an exciting area with lots of restaurants and lively streets. They also arranged a taxi for our three adult children when they left for the airport in the middle of the night. We really enjoyed our stay.

The room isn't huge, but the bed is big enough for two adults and a small child. All the lights can be controlled from the bedside, so no more getting out of bed to switch them on or off. There's a nightlight, and the bathroom light is automatic – it turns on as soon as you step in. The sink is just the right size to use as a baby bath. The air conditioning cools down the room really quickly. There's also a mini-fridge in the room stocked with mineral water and sparkling drinks, which are replenished daily. The elevator requires a key card to automatically take you to your floor, and the hotel even has a few delivery robots that use the elevator by themselves. Breakfast is extensive, with fried rice, fried noodles/vermicelli, and four hot dishes every day, two types of congee, four steamers with items like buns, corn, and sweet potatoes, tofu pudding, fried dough sticks, noodle soup, wontons, various pickles, salad, and more. There's also a Western section with bread and other items I didn't pay much attention to.

A friend who was accompanying my daughter to take an exam recommended this hotel to me. I felt very comfortable when I opened the door. I booked an executive double room. The room was large and clean. Both the front desk and the cleaning lady were very enthusiastic and helpful. There was unlimited drinking water in the room. The service was very thoughtful. Next time I have the chance to come to Beijing, this will be my first choice!

I stayed at the Shanxi Mansion during my trip to Beijing. As soon as I entered, the hotel staff helped me with my luggage, showing great service awareness. They also offer shuttle services to and from the station. The hotel room was clean and spacious, and it even had a bathtub, fulfilling my little one's wish to take a bath. The hotel price was affordable and included breakfast. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Amazing! We spent five nights staying in a deluxe king room with terrace/balcony at The Purple Horse Hotel in Beijing at the end of June 2026.. The location is excellent. The hotel is situated in the heart of a Hutong which offers a calm quiet and serene experience in the middle of a bustling city, only a short walk to restaurants and shops. The Hutong itself is a great experience, it's safe and friendly and we enjoyed chatting to the locals at the corner shop. The hotel is absolutely wonderful. It's less than two years old and It is finished to a really high standard, the attention to detail is incredible. It felt luxurious with the highest quality furnishings and the bathroom and shower were like something you would find in a spa. Our room had great views over the Hutong and the Beijing skyline and had excellent air conditioning. We had a buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner included and it was delicious and served in a beautiful restaurant on the top floor. Above that there was an amazing rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool, a cocktail bar and 360⁰ views of the city. There is also a Peking duck restaurant on the ground floor, a gym and a self service complimentary laundry room. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The level of service and the attentiveness of the staff is at a level that we have never experienced before. The staff are super friendly and polite and they are always trying to help. Our room was cleaned to an immaculate level every day and we were often left little gifts and kind notes. The service in the restaurant was great and once again always really kind and friendly, special mention to Nieve for looking after us so well. Anything we needed, any questions we had, the staff really went out of their way to help us and did so with big smiles on their faces and we had fun times in our interactions with them. Everyone had a good level of English, especially the front for house staff and management . If you want a comfortable, clean, modern hotel with great facilities, in a great, safe location and would like staff that will advise and help you and direct you and even organise trips and transport for you, then this is the hotel for you. We would like to thank some of the staff that really went out of their way to help us. Ella and Anduo who organised a print shop for us and helped us find some specific gift shops. Nieve for making us smile everyday in the restaurant. The housekeeping team for making our room so clean, comfortable and amazing every day. Terry the manager for being a really nice guy, for taking the time to talk to us and ask us if we needed anything everyday. And Kevin for making us some really nice tea and helping us with everything when we were checking out. We have stayed in hotels all over the world but this one will always stand out for being that little bit different, for being so immaculate and for going the extra mile. It’s a very good hotel located in ideal location . It’s very near to forbidden city which is just few streets away. Many restaurants located nearby, like Si Ji Min Fu Peking Duck. You could get help from the hotel to get the queue number and waiting at the hotel room before your turn. It’s really save a lot of time. The daily breakfast was good , just that the serving plates or cups were found cracked or chipped , the hotel still use that for serving customers during breakfast .We were given free drink voucher and you gotta to get the voucher from the service counter daily. Free laundry and free robot delivery service . As there’s only one robot for food delivery to room, and during peak hour , you might need to go down to collect the food at the hotel counter yourself . And the room cleaning service is awesome and they helped us to clean the baggage and left us a message in sticky note when the job’s done. Kudos to the dedicated room cleaner. Many local Beijing snacks and cold drinks are served at the hotel lobby and they are free. When we’re checked out , we’re given a small free goodie bag to bring back home.

Very close to the airport, which was super convenient. I booked it just for the proximity, but I didn't expect such a great experience. The location is definitely handy for catching flights without rushing. The environment was quiet and peaceful, not noisy at all, and the cleanliness was spot on, even in the corners. The staff were friendly and responsive to requests. Overall, it exceeded my expectations.
