Guest UserI stayed here during my trip to Beijing and really liked it. The subway station is super close, and there are two malls nearby, super convenient. Also very easy to get to tourist attractions like National Art Museum, Beihai Park and Nanluoguxiang. Breakfast was the best part. Lots of choices and pretty healthy too. I would consider staying here again next time I’m in Beijing.

WendygogoExtremely satisfied! The front desk service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful; they even helped us with our luggage all the way to the intersection. The snacks and drinks available right outside the hotel were also plentiful, so we didn't really need to go out of our way to find Beijing's specialty foods.
I originally wanted to book the Mandarin Oriental, but they didn't have enough rooms and it was quite expensive. After staying here, I feel it's a perfectly viable alternative to the Mandarin. Qianmen Street is right outside the entrance, with all sorts of century-old shops practically at your doorstep. The location is truly excellent.
While the rooms aren't particularly luxurious, the Courtyard-style (Siheyuan) decor is spot-on, giving a strong sense of old Beijing. There was a minor incident where a school group staying at the hotel for the flag-raising ceremony got a bit excited early in the morning and ran around the hotel. However, the hotel staff apologized sincerely and proactively offered a breakfast discount, handling it very well.
Plus, you can wear ancient costumes for free photos, which was a fantastic experience! If you don't take too many, there's no extra charge at all. Overall, this stay was absolutely perfect. Thank you to the hotel!

Excellent value for money! The location is absolutely perfect, right by the subway exit, making getting around incredibly convenient. The room was clean and odor-free, and the mattress offered great support, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. Facilities are comprehensive, including smart room control and a mini-fridge. They also have a self-service gym and laundry room. Zhiwen and Wanbao provided exceptionally thoughtful service. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, highly recommended.

Stayed at a Republic of China-style hotel nestled in a Beijing hutong. It's full of antique charm, with beautifully carved wooden staircases that exude a vintage vibe.
The front desk staff, especially the young man, was incredibly helpful! He proactively arranged a car for us to Universal Studios and even assisted with our luggage, seeing us off to the car. Truly excellent service! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Guest UserThe location is great, just a 3-5 minute walk from the subway, making it convenient to get to the airport. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, and the soundproofing is excellent; I didn't hear any noise. The breakfast selection is plentiful, and the noodle soup was especially delicious. I really liked the scent of the toiletries provided by the hotel.

Hu123456789yfThis trip with my child was an incredibly pleasant and satisfying stay! The room hygiene was impeccable, with the cleaning staff promptly replacing fresh towels daily and keeping the room neat and tidy, which put us at ease. All the beverages in the room were complimentary and replenished daily – such thoughtful details.
The front desk staff were gentle and friendly. Any requests we had were quickly responded to and handled efficiently and patiently. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, with plenty of choices to suit both adults and children. It's an ideal place to rest and recuperate during a trip, and I would definitely consider staying here again for future travels!

Elizabeth & JohnAmazing! We spent five nights staying in a deluxe king room with terrace/balcony at The Purple Horse Hotel in Beijing at the end of June 2026.. The location is excellent. The hotel is situated in the heart of a Hutong which offers a calm quiet and serene experience in the middle of a bustling city, only a short walk to restaurants and shops. The Hutong itself is a great experience, it's safe and friendly and we enjoyed chatting to the locals at the corner shop.
The hotel is absolutely wonderful. It's less than two years old and It is finished to a really high standard, the attention to detail is incredible. It felt luxurious with the highest quality furnishings and the bathroom and shower were like something you would find in a spa. Our room had great views over the Hutong and the Beijing skyline and had excellent air conditioning. We had a buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner included and it was delicious and served in a beautiful restaurant on the top floor. Above that there was an amazing rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool, a cocktail bar and 360⁰ views of the city.
There is also a Peking duck restaurant on the ground floor, a gym and a self service complimentary laundry room.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The level of service and the attentiveness of the staff is at a level that we have never experienced before. The staff are super friendly and polite and they are always trying to help. Our room was cleaned to an immaculate level every day and we were often left little gifts and kind notes. The service in the restaurant was great and once again always really kind and friendly, special mention to Nieve for looking after us so well. Anything we needed, any questions we had, the staff really went out of their way to help us and did so with big smiles on their faces and we had fun times in our interactions with them. Everyone had a good level of English, especially the front for house staff and management
.
If you want a comfortable, clean, modern hotel with great facilities, in a great, safe location and would like staff that will advise and help you and direct you and even organise trips and transport for you, then this is the hotel for you.
We would like to thank some of the staff that really went out of their way to help us. Ella and Anduo who organised a print shop for us and helped us find some specific gift shops. Nieve for making us smile everyday in the restaurant. The housekeeping team for making our room so clean, comfortable and amazing every day. Terry the manager for being a really nice guy, for taking the time to talk to us and ask us if we needed anything everyday. And Kevin for making us some really nice tea and helping us with everything when we were checking out.
We have stayed in hotels all over the world but this one will always stand out for being that little bit different, for being so immaculate and for going the extra mile. Thank you very much and we look forward to seeing you next time. John and Elizabeth.

A friend who was accompanying my daughter to take an exam recommended this hotel to me. I felt very comfortable when I opened the door. I booked an executive double room. The room was large and clean. Both the front desk and the cleaning lady were very enthusiastic and helpful. There was unlimited drinking water in the room. The service was very thoughtful. Next time I have the chance to come to Beijing, this will be my first choice!

Guest UserFirst time choosing this hotel and I was very pleasantly surprised! The service was excellent, facilities were complete, and parking was convenient (a big plus). For a short trip, it's more convenient and cheaper than parking at the airport. The shuttle runs every half hour and it's only a 3-minute ride. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink nearby (including a convenience store). I didn't take any photos of the hotel, so I've just included some from my trip instead.

LilliSI had a lovely 6 night stay. The hotel is conveniently located once the hotel is found as other reviews may have mentioned. The building is not labelled Jialong but Man Xin, check in around the corner from the building labelled Jialong . And if taking the metro, remembering to exit at E from the #6 /#2 line, it will get you closer to the hotel. When I first arrived, my room smelled heavily of cigarettes, I almost thought it was coming from the ventilation. I remedied it myself with an air freshener after I was told my room could not be changed. I've experienced a bit more empathy from other China hotels I've stayed in seeing I did book a non smoking room but after a couple days the cigarette smell was less. Other than that, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I had an atrium view which offered large windows into the dining area of the breakfast buffet so I kept the curtains closed. Still good value for the great location. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, take not le that more items become available closer to 7am but a good variety nonetheless. I enjoyed all the Chinese food options and didn't care much for the western food (some bread and cereal). I've recently gone vegetarian and found it perfect, there were so many varieties of veggies. I felt they offered Chinese food on the healthy side. They also offered a variety of coffee, tea and juices. Laundry and gym facilities were good too. I enjoyed my stay overall.
